Amazing resort

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Memories Caribe Beach Resort. We opted for the Premium package and were not disappointed at all. The buffet food was excellent, with a great variety and never any shortages during our stay. The à la carte restaurants exceeded our expectations. The entertainment was fantastic, especially at the Bellini venue. The beach was the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life, and having food and beach BBQs served directly on the sand was a wonderful touch. Best Beach Resort!

Memories Caribe again was fun to spend time at and the beach just the best. Staff was able to accommodate my requests for my stay. Music at the piano bar was enjoyable. I do miss the Karaoke nights, please bring them back, they were fun and drew large audiences for the big stage area!

Beautiful Resort

Just completed my 15th trip to Memories Caribe since Nov 2022. The resort is smaller than most and easy to navigate. The rooms are very clean and the staff is amazing !! The food is plentiful and the variety and quality was good. The beach is a 10/10 and like a postcard !

Our Favourite

We recently visited Memories Caribe in Cayo Coco for our twelfth time. Obviously, we really enjoy this resort. This time we stayed in a Premium Al Fresco room. Our flight arrived late in the evening, check-in was fast and since we are very familiar with the resort we were able to find out building very easily. Everything in our room was in working order. We also had returning guest dinner, Premium dinner, and Ambassador dinner so did not eat dinner in the buffet. The food in every a la carte restaurant was very good. We also had breakfast in the Premium restaurant which was nice. We absolutely love the beach at this resort and that is the main reason we return. Plenty of chairs under the shade and the chair guys are always speedy and helpful in getting you set up. Alain, Fidel and Yenelis at the beach bar are fabulous with their service. The snack bar and BBQ at the Premium area are very good and so convenient. The Premium beach area is fairly quiet and relaxing. We went to the Bites snackbar a couple of times and the food and drinks were great. The piano bar had music every night, but we found it too loud and crowded for our taste. Overall, we had a very nice vacation and will definitely return.

Memories Caribe beach hotel

Recently spent a week at this resort. We enjoyed our stay We felt the staff were very nice. Beach was spectacular. Some of the entertainment was very enjoyable. The al a carte restsurants were good. Had some delicious meals. Buffet also had a good variety. My only concern was the cleaning of the rooms and lack of towels could be improved.

Great resort

The resort was clean, and well maintained grounds. Everything was close by from our room, so short walk to beach, pool and restaurants. Short drive from airport to resort so made it best to maximize time at resort. Beach area and amenities were great. Definitely on our list to return very soon. Great staff everywhere we went. Worst Resort Ever- Not as Advertised - Bad Management

Do Not pay for upgrade to Premium Service. It's the same as a regular customer You received nothing special. Save your money Room showers are installed at 5 feet high so you have to bend to take a shower. No hot water. Shower holder has one screw in it so when water is turned on it sprays everywhere, Beach towels are not exchanged unless you leave them in the room and go to the beach with no towel, come back later and maybe get exchanged towels. No toilet paper other than in your room.  [... read more]Bathrooms around the resort are not cleaned or restocked so people walked around with their own TP Food runs out after the first hour, sporadic chicken or fish Dining staff walk up to buffet and eat with their hands from the buffet Animals on the beach and around the resort. At least 3 dogs that belong to staff roam the property. Remained on property after viciously attacking a guest during our stay. Management allows animals around the property. Cats (3) in the buffet dining room area daily. Birds in the dining room pooping on tabled and eating peoples food all week. Soliciting of tips by entertainment staff after every show, walking around with hats soliciting gratuities for middle school caliber shows. Also no actual entertainment show every night. Management not willing to adhere to the basic standards Staff seemed unhappy and disgruntled, lack of smiles and basic politeness. Staff more attentive to their cellphones and co-workers than guests. On a positive note the grounds were nicely kept except when it rained the walkways and other areas were flooded leaving no option but to wade through the dirty water to or from your room

Quiet homey resort

The staff were amazing. The food was good. Room service great. BUT, there was no hot water for the week that we were there, but we managed and did not find this upsetting. The resort is quiet, and mostly for older people or those wishing to be left alone or be in quiet. The beach is the BEST!!!, anyone who wishes to swim or is afraid of water, should come to Memories Caribe. I love a piano bar, but the piano at Memories Caribe is in disrepair as some of the keys do not work, and the piano  [... read more]needs tuning; thus it is false to advertise a piano bar when no one has played the piano for many months. Caribe has good tennis and basketball courts, it does not have racquets for tennis or pickleball. Bingo would be a good game to offer the vacationers. Memories Flamenco has more life and vibrance, but the entry into the water because the first 5 feet into the sea at Memories Flamenco has lots of broken shells, otherwise the beach and water is perfect (people with lower body disability may just need a few extra seconds to cautiously step over this area. I wish the people of Cuba a quick recovery in the recovery following Hurricane Melissa. The staff at the resorts will appreciate everything that you donate to them, including your dollars.

Amazing Resort

This was our second time staying at Caribe and again it met all of our expectations. The problem we had was with Trip Central itself. As we booked thru Trip Central with knowing about the merger between Sunwing and Westjet we did not think that we would have encountered the problems that did. Unable to prebook our seats was an issue and the Trip Central Susan Snider was not at all helpful with us being able to do this. She was notified upfront when speaking to her and emailing her to [... read more] our preference in seating due to some disabilities that I have. She did not follow up with any emails I sent with regards to this as well as the follow up phone calls my husband made to her. Cannot remember what the date was but I was in the online portal for Sunwing and discovered that the seats were finally available to purchase, so I did this on my own. Other than not receiving follow up help from the Susan Snider our vacation was great.

Bug Off

Awesome time at Memories Caribe well established resort with mature palm trees on the grounds and beach front. Trip was mid October and we only really had one rainy overcast day. But the standing water after the rain and the water features around the resort made a perfect mosquito / no see um breeding ground which made bug spray our friend. Food at the resort I thought was good for Cuba comparison but all the staff and workers are what make this place shine. Oh and the beach front if you like sandy shoreline water you can walkout 300-400 meters out in the water and walkable sand shores you will fall in love with this resort. After a week I had to come home as my tan was making me look like a local. Cuba isn't for everyone but if you like Cuba you should enjoy Caribe. Cheers!

Great beach

The grounds are well maintained, the rooms are big and clean. The food was always there nothing that was really awesome, but always something to eat. The resort is a nice size for walking, your are never more then 5 minutes from anything. The beach goes for miles and the water was so clear and warm.

Excellent beach

Been here numerous times and will return for the beach. The hotel needs a lot of TLC, unfortunately. Grounds are maintained and the vegetation is nice. If you book premium you have separate area at the beach and pool, plus few other advantages. Staff is amazing.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort (Aug 2–9)

The Positives: The beach was nothing short of spectacular—soft white sand and warm, aqua-blue water that felt like bath water every time we stepped in. It quickly became our favorite spot to unwind. A notable downside was the number of mosquitoes—bring your best bug spray or repellent, and maybe an extra can! Bottom Line: Memories Caribe is a charming choice for couples seeking a romantic, laid-back escape. With its gorgeous beach, friendly staff, and lively entertainment, it’s a great value—just come prepared with bug spray.

Real gem

I have been to this resort 2x and both times it doesn't disappoint. The beaches are clear blue and very shallow. The rooms are clean, and spacious. The toilets have trouble with the flushing, but not a huge inconvience. The resort is quaint with friendly staff. The food isn't 5 star but it had a good variety. The ice cream was amazing, so we're the eggs and bread. But I didn't come to eat, I came to relax and reset and that's exactly what this resort allowed me to do. Could be much better

My opinion .I booked this hotel at a great price. So some things you complain about and some you don't. I have traveled Cuba for the last 10 years so I know what to expect. Many people are repeat customers at this resort. I am not sure why. : The bars had good service. The buffet was terrible had to line up for 1/2 hrs or more for food . Relaxing resort

No complaints Had a lovely time and enjoyed the beautiful beach everyday. People are friendly and helpful. Food was as good as can be and l always enjoyed the ala carts. My personal favorite was the Cuban restaurant.

Good hotel great beach

The hotel is very old, but maintained. The food was typical Cuban style food, and there was not much variety, but it improved over the last few days of the trip. The beach was stunning, although it seems like you had to walk a mile out to get the water that was only waist deep. This happened the minute we stopped on to the bus which took us to the hotel. And continued once we got to the hotel. Also being bitten in our hotel rooms. Because of this, we did not get to experience the shows at night, and stayed indoors to the extent possible, because the mosquitoes were out of control. But it’s probably just that time of year. It was much worse at the beginning of our trip, and not so many mosquito bites towards the end.

Fantastic resort

Great staff. Beautiful beaches. Clean pools. Staff go above for guests. Terrific excursions, and activities. Good variety and music shows/entertainers. Varied guest age range, with something for everyone. Good for groups or single Travellers. Good food and services. Hotel and common areas cleaned daily.

Amazing beach, best I have ever seen... Everything else was pretty sub par.

Beach was definitely a 5/5 beautiful, plenty of shade when wanted, plenty of sand bars. Rooms were clean, A/C worked well and plenty of hot water. Just dated and old... glass doors on the toilets was an odd choice... Food was extremely disappointing, I lived in the Dominican for 6 years, fruits and veggies are the cheapest best things on any island. Sadly the buffet was better than the a la cartes, the service was good but their attempts at Asian/Italian showed how little quality ingredients they had on hand. Booze was not of any quality names, no fun island drinks. Mixes were all from powder, and to top it all off the bars were fully stocked come 2pm but that's all the was put out when you drank everything on the shelf and was never replenished. We arrived to the hotel at 10:30pm the main bar had draft beer and gin remaining.

Amazing beach

Memories Caribe was one of the best resorts we have stayed at in a long time. It was so relaxing there and the beach was gorgeoso.us. We will be booking soon for my 65th next year, with about 15 to 20 ppl....can't wait....
