Love, love, love!

Spent a week at Rooms Negril and couldn’t ask for a better place to stay. Staff are amazing and so helpful, food is great, rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is perfect, right on the beach. I will be returning!!!!

Second time at Rooms Negril

We love this hotel. Staff are friendly rooms are great. Location is ideal. We asked for the balcony rooms and got them on the second night. Security people are great to maintain the privacy on the property. Would stay there again.

Amazing vacation at Rooms!

Quick and easy check-in, the room was good. Loved how everything is so close, quick walk to the beach or the reception. AC worked and we had hot water. Never ate the complementary breakfast. Just paid for the Rise n shine for $5. Great bacon, eggs, beans and toast for breakfast. Lots of great restaurants close by. Highly recommend Best in the west. Wonderful location!

The resort was good. The rooms and grounds were clean. The beach is simply beautiful. You will not regret attending this location. There are plenty of restaurants for lunch and dinner walking distance from Rooms. As with all vacations, there were a few issues which were quickly resolved. The staff were wonderful. Great vacation - great people, great location and great memories!

This was our first non all inclusive vacation and we had a fantastic experience. We were assigned an ocean front room complete with wooden verandah and fridge just steps away from the beach which contributed to our pleasant experience. TRANSFER to hotel from MoBay - uneventful, stopped for rest break and beer (overpriced!) Bring your own toiletries as you will only have those tiny bars of soap. The cleaning staff did an amazing job every day to keep the room clean. GYM: the temperature is not conducive to working out, it is stuffy and hot, the equipment is average - did not see many people using the facility STAFF: Amazing, everyone from the ground keeper to the manager far exceeded our expectations, everyone was happy to help and answer all of our questions - I observed the staff throughout the week and they always went out of their way to make everyone feel special. The manager Ms.Grant is an elegant woman who is very professional and you can tell takes pride in her role, her staff and the property. FOOD: Breakfast is included in the package - (hard boiled egg, variety of cold cereals, bread to toast yourself, choice of pastry and a few pieces of fruit plus coffee, tea and juices (every day it seemed like they ran out of coffee - we always bring our own so did not affect us personally). You can also order a bigger breakfast from the menu for a reasonable cost. We had lunch twice at the hotel and it was yummy and very reasonably priced. There are plenty of restaurants and bars within walking distance, from street and beach vendors to 5 star restaurants, from Chinese, Italian, yummy jerk chicken to fusion foods - we never had a bad meal. BEACH: It does not get better than this - clear water, powdery beach, warm water - it's perfect and the sunsets are spectacular. VENDORS; 2 great pattie vendors on the beach - offering beef, chicken, shrimp, veggie and pumpkin patties - regular or hot - the best!!! Also vendors with real fruits, other treats and merchandise. Did not encounter any issues or harassment from anyone - except for a lobster vendor on the beach - he is located to the right of Rooms, right before the sign (Wake and Bake!). You will note his lobsters in a cage in the ocean - we will try to rip you off and then intimidate you. He quoted us $20 for 3 lobsters and when we were ready to go, he said $60, we walked away and he followed us swearing and yelling all the way and threatening that he would make our vacation hell. STAY AWAY from him, he is a tall skinny man - do not give him your business. MUSIC: always a spot where you can get live entertainment or even jam with the locals. We will return!!

ROOMS NEGRIL

This is the second time we stayed at this hotel and loved everything about it. It is in the middle of 7 mile beach with lots of great entertainment and food choices all around you. The staff at Rooms are all very happy to help you with whatever you need. Highly recommend this hotel!

WORTH THE MONEY

I thought Room was very good. the room was good enough we were close to the pool, so my son like that. Staff very friendly, safe with security, the beach amazing and ground clean. Breakfast did me ok and lots of close places to eat. I took Jamaican money with me. I always asked the price up front. Would not recommend eating at Woodstock, rip off. I just kept saying NO to the sellers. My son was the only child there and around this resort, but we made out fine,. Would go back forsure.

Good resort

Clean and friendly staff except breakfast. The worst continental breakfast I've had in the last ten years maybe more. A very limited number of meals shared issued by the staff. There are no umbrellas on the beach.

Great location!

Small resort right in the middle of the beach. All the staff were friendly. The rooms were very clean. Make sure to see kelvin at the bar. By the end of the trip everyone knew your name. The continental breakfast was nothing special but itwas enough to get you to lunch

Good resort. Great location. Great staff.

Hotel was kept very nice. Grounds, beach, staff was great. Beach access was wonderful. Grounds were always being worked on and were very tidy. Any concerns you would have were address quickly by staff. Would suggest refrigerators be available for all rooms.

Home away from Home

Very spacious rooms and good ac. Beds and linens were top notch. Beautiful marble bathrooms and floors. All the staff were friendly and always ready to help with anything. Location, beach and sunsets were 5 star. Our room needed a new door on to the balcony and a working safe. Fridges were an extra charge but they didn't have any available. Also, the king size bed we were promised turned out to be a double and a single. The onsite restaurant was comfortable, convenient and reasonably priced.

Home away from home....

This was my 6th time at this resort in the past three yrs. The staff are so friendly and its like going home each time i arrive. The rooms are big, air conditioning works well , and the location ! The location is right in the middle of Seven Mile Beach , you can walk to all the good stuff. I will return each time i go It isnt one of those big box jail like resorts. It is sweet and quaint . Great resort

Everything was great, Small quiet, clean, neat hotel. There were small things could be improve. There was no soap in the bathroom. The breakfast suffered some shortages. We took the trip recommended by the agent. The guide was knowledgeable and everything according to trip schedule.

My Honest Review

This resort was excellent for us! The rooms/grounds/pool were super clean. The room was spacious and bed was very comfortable. The beachfront in front of the hotel was the nicest spot on the strip! The staff were amazing/friendly/helpful and the dinners we ate were well prepared and tasty (try the curry goat). Breakfast included was ok but you can order full breakfast for $5 US and beer/cocktails on resort are $2 US. This resort was amazing! A real jewel. We Love Negril

Love Rooms! This is our 3rd time back. We hope to visit again soon! Small & quaint. Rooms are good size & very clean. Staff are great & very friendly. Housekeeping staff are fabulous! They now have a bar on the beach with very nice music! Continental breakfast is more than enough to eat. They now have serve yourself coffee & cereal, which is great to be able to get when you want. Coffee is so good! Nice walk into town. The 7 mile beach is the absolute best!!!

Great location on a super Negril beach

hotel staff very friendly and responsive; security good and attentive to leaving and arriving; cleanliness good within the room and on the general grounds; comfort good - what more could we ask - a wonderful holiday!

Quiet and Simple

We stayed at Rooms Negril for 3 days prior to Christmas 2014 and received a fantastic deal considering the time of year (can't complain!!). The room was very simple and all that we needed considering most of our time was spent outdoors however lighting is poor and you have to pay for WiFi. The downside is that breakfast took a long time to be served and there are no instructions of how it works, you have to figure it out for yourself (a sign would be helpful). We would go to "Sweet Spot" across the street and order there. The food was delicious and much cheaper than at the resort. We ate there every night ($6 for two of us!!) then bought our beverages and snacks at the store across the street from Sweet Spot (up a bit). The beach was beautiful and the water was clear. Very nice to take a walk, etc. Overall, our stay at the resort was quiet and comfortable. The staff were also nice. We would stay at Rooms again...but in Ocho Rios next time to see that side of the Island.

This resort sucks!

I have stayed at 3 resorts now and this was the worst one! The contenital breakfast wasn't giid at all most of the time they were out of cereal and had to wait over an hour just to get served. It felt like a prison there way to much security I wanted to go on vacation not to a jail

A 'Very Good' Value Resort

Enjoyed ouselves emmensely for first timers at Rooms Negril. Never having stayed 3 star non all inclusive we werent really sure what to expect - but they really met and or exceeded all aspects of our stay! It is important to remember that this is not a 4-5 star resort and that you must be preapred for all the little hiccups that you may/will encounter along the way. Staff: friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and tidy. Be prepared to wait sometimes for your room to be cleaned and fresh towels. [... read more] Everything happens in Jamaican time and pace. Beach/Pool towels and lounge chairs: first come,first serve - could wait up to an hour Beach: Beautiful!!! nicely located and near enough to town/mall if needed. WARNING!: depending upon your room location and what night of the week - IT CAN BE VERY NOISY at night (thankfully not every night) from the surrounding bars, music and "wildlife" Also, our safe was not operational and the sliding door lock needed to be and was repaired once we brought it to the staffs attention. Continental Breakfast: was adequate - mostly a variety of breads, muffins and fruits! Substantial enough to get the drinks flowing. We purchased our alcohol and mix from either of the shops right across the street or just down the beach. Local Cuisine: was excellent every where we went. We went to a different place every night for dinner including trying the many Jerk Chicken BBQ's which are everywhere! Average meal price $6-$10. YOU MUST not expect 5 star facilities and service and you wont be disappointed. We loved our stay and will be back again at the same resort in the same room again next year!

Amazing place

We like the fact that it was directly on the beach, not too crowed. Nice staff. Basic continental breakfast could be healthier. Nice hotel and rooms. Close to downtown 2 km ( walk). lots of restaurant nearby and pretty safe to walk the beach at night, lots of resto on the beachtoo. not really a resort with kids , no activity. Would hightly recommend this resort
