One of the best resorts that we ever had been.

The resort is beautiful , very stylish and classy. Extremely well maintained. What makes this resort so special is their staff. Everybody is so kind, professional and very had working. My family enjoyed the free access to all resort bars and restaurants located at TRS Yucatan Hotel and the Grand Palladium Mayan Riviera complex. As predicted, the best vacation ever!!!

We have been in Grand Palladium Riviera Mayan 8 times as this is our favourite resort and TRS Yucatan is one of the best. We stayed on December 10 - 17 in building 65 with ocean front view on the third floor. Everything in this resort is excellent - food, beer, wine, tequila, friendly and knowledgeable staff, new room, pools and fun activities. One of our favourite aspects of our vacation was to do yoga every morning in the gym, at 8 AM, by the ocean at 10 AM and 5 PM with Alexia. The Foam Party on Colonial beach, I call it Caribbean Snow, all the restaurants in TRS are great. Chic Cabaret was very entertaining. The coral in front of Royal beach seems to be getting bigger and bigger, a good sign for snorkelling. TRS Yucatan is the nice place to be :)

Amazing Resort!

We had an amazing time at TRS. Everything was above and beyond our expectations! The infinity pool was incredible and the food was top notch. The only thing we didn’t like was the beach, it was nice enough but you definitely needed water shoes which we didn’t bring. Other than that 10/10 we will definitely be going back!

Fantastic resort in the Riviera Maya - best vacation yet!

I have been a fan of Grand Palladium hotels for years and have visited the Riviera Maya several times. The best trip yet, however, was at the newly renovated and transformed TRS Yucatan (formerly, The Royal Suites Yucatan). It was simply amazing from start to finish. Our expectations were far exceeded! What was so great? The rooms, the infinity and salt-water pools, the butlers in the villas, the a la carte restaurants, the staff and service. This hotel is a tremendous value for the dollar. Don't hesitate to go!

Very Tranquil!

This resort is quite clean ,beautiful and relaxing. JESSICA AND PABLO were the best butlers we have ever had. Martha at reception was super accomodating. There are maintenance (repair) issues for such a new place. The beach was the worst we ever had in the many resorts we have been to. The food was subpar. Tasted like it was all boxed and cheap, no flavor appart from sodium. very limited choice especially the breakfast. We were turned away three times from White Sands restos for no reason. Seem [... read more]ed like they did not want to serve Trs clients. The other Palladium neighbor resorts didn't give a good service like at the TRS. The gym was the best and spa was all right. I drink 2 drinks a day and the drinks were very well done. We will go through trip central again. Rick lockhart impressed us. Thanks to everybody for caring!

Resort Heaven

We highly recommend this exclusive resort! The service was impeccable; everyone made such an effort to make us feel special and well attended to. Two gentlemen at Los Rocco’s pool bar named Arcadia and Jose made us exceptional habanero margaritas, even bringing us hotter ones to sample from their very own gardens! They all made us feel truly welcomed. Tania at the pool/main lobby was also a sweetheart and deserves acknowledgement for her hard work. The food at all the a la carte restaurants was delicious! Helios and El Gaucho were our favourites and do not miss the cabaret dinner show at the chic restaurant as it was spectacular! There is such great talent at this show. With other ventures to other resorts with my celiac disease/allergy, I have had major issues meeting my nutritional needs. Everywhere we ventured to on this resort made a huge effort to ensure I was assisted throughout my order selection and I highly appreciated the efforts to embrace my dietary issues. We would 100% revisit this resort and will recommend all our friends and family to visit such an unbelievable retreat! Ps the spa was worth every penny, amazing massages in such a peaceful setting (make sure to find the 2 for 1 deals)

Luxurious, relaxing, vacation

We had impeccable service and friendly hospitality, a well-maintained, gorgeous grounds with fabulous food. Access to three other resorts was great value. Lots to do on-site; we never felt we had to leave the resort for entertainment.

Great resort!

Wonderful hotel! Food: 5* - within the TRS restaurants, lunch at Helios didn't start until 1pm. Don't bother going to the non trs restaurants. Location: 5* - learn to use the collectivos to get around instead of paying hundreds on tours. Cost of collective was around 2-3$ cad each person, each way. Tulum cost 70 pesos each (5$ cad). Akumal was free on the free beach (don't rent a life jacket and bring your own snorkel) and we visited one cenotes (sink hole) called jardin del edin for 100  [... read more]pesos each (7$ cad). Bars: 5* - they all had drink menus to help you, at Helios we didn't even have to ask for specific drinks, the bartenders were making us whatever they wanted and it was always great. Rooms: 4* - even though they were newly renovated, we stayed in the old Riviera section instead of the old TRS section which has the jacuzzis on the balcony that fit 4 people. Instead our room had a jacuzzi tub (very different) which fits 1 person in the middle of the hotel room. The toilet wasn't installed at the correct height which left me (5'5") with my feet not able to touch the floor when using it, many small design issues in the room. Sports center: 4* - riffle range and archery were amazing. Make sure you book a private hour to not be a part of a group. Guillermo also took us out snorkelling in the hotels bay. The mini golf sucked. Lobby: 4.5* - looks beautiful. There wasn't a currency exchange desk but we brought pesos from our bank at home and just wanted change and we were able to get large bills from the check in desks. Not tipping/ 20 or 50 pesos bills though. The check in process was very fast and check out was easy. The bracelets are your room key which was very very handy. Butler's: 4* - it was weird for us to need butlers but they were helpful for reservations. One thing that was seriously lacking at this hotel was information on events and restaurant times. The butlers knew what show was on at 9pm at colonial each night but we missed so many activities like the chocolate bar, the tequila tastings, the crocodile feeding which only happens once a week, and the cooking classes that apparently happened at the infinity pool. We learned about events from bar tenders or by walking around outside of TRS for some things but I was upset that there wasn't a print out of the entire resorts events listed by day and time and location so that we could plan better. Also we accidentally went to the white sands buffet one morning which had screaming kids everywhere because there wasn't information about which TRS restaurants are open at which time of day. The maps should say that capricho is breakfast starting at 7am, and Helios is lunch starting at 1pm and then reserve somewhere for dinner. Our butlers also made reservations for us for bahia brasa but we spent about an hour looking for the restaurant to find out it was actually called o' pavao. The information sharing really needs improvement at this resort. Pools: 5* - the infinity pool is beautiful but cold. The salt water pool is great but they should add a sign that says don't touch the bottom (let the coral grow). The lifeguards were making up rules as they went like that you couldn't enter the ocean beyond the salt water pool which wasn't on any rule boards. Also they wouldn't let you feed the ocean fish which wasn't a rule.. the spa pool is heated and it's the best. Make sure to go to the spa and the smoothie bar in the spa. Beach: 4* - very rocky, bring water shoes. They cleaned it every morning. They always had many many chairs available. I liked that they had an area protected by a camera to make sure your hat a stuff would be there when finished in the water.

Really 4 1/2 but almost 5

This is a great hotel with a wonderful staff. The friendliness of the staff was second to none. I really couldn't say anyone staff member stood out, I thought they were all equally wonderful. The a la cartes we attended we very good. The buffets were buffets and I have not been to any resort yet were I find them wonderful....all about the same. The timeshare people (or as they say " travel club") were not in our face pushing their product, so that was good. The rooms were well laid out, comforta [... read more]ble and clean. The reason I give this a 4 1/2 and not a 5 is that the Royal Section Beach was a long way form the Royal Section. Actually at the very opposite end of the beach, and then it's only a roped off section off the beach front and set back more into the trees. Other Royal Sections we have stayed (for example a couple times in Cuba) the Royal section beach was a private beach area right off the Royal Section. Would we go back again? Sure, it was fun and overall a really good time.

Spend a little more and stay at the Royal Suites

It was fantastic. We spent the extra money and stay at the Royal Suites. The perks that you get are phenomenal! Especially access to the spa, the exclusive restaurant El Jardin and the taxi service! It was fantastic!! Will definetly return!

Excellent

Beautiful resort, great service. Loved the adult only pool. Lots of places to walk and explore, adult only beach was great. Clean rooms with big balcony and hot tub. Bathroom is not so private, however that wasn't an issue for us.
