Fantasy Island: The Resort is in poor condition.

The resort is in need of a renovation. We went for the scuba diving which was excellent. The dive staff were friendly and helpful. The Staff at the resort are excellent. The property and beach are beautiful, but the buildings and rooms are in poor condition. We had no running water for the first four days in our room. Fortunately they had showers at the dive shop. The food was good, we could always find something we liked.

Washroom need TLC, bathtub.the balcony need TLC, update garden .need add more flower in garden , walkway need new paint ,ffod are very good for 3 half Star resort,we would like to go back, people and services are very good, friendly environment

Paradise Beach Hotel and Resorts: Roatan is an amazing island

The hotel is very central to everything on the beach. However, the room designation as Oceanic is misleading as it is not an Ocean view. Also all inclusive is very limited. Breakfast is7-9:30am lunch 12-2 pm and dinner 7-9:30pm. If you want to eat at any other time you have to pay for it. Best to just do breakfast as there are fabulous restaurants all along the beach with amazing food choices. Also the bathrooms are really tiny and their is no hair dryer. Henry Morgan Resort: Always amazing!

Yes this hotel is a little older and they are doing some renovations. The overall stay/experience was fabulous. This was our third time there and it never disappoints. The beach is stunning with crystal clear water and fish swimming all round. Walking the beach is a daily occurrence for sure. Buffet was adequate. Henry Morgan Resort: Amazing Resort!!

The Henry Morgan was beautiful! The staff were friendly and helpful. The food was great and nothing compares to that beach. The rooms were clean and very comfortable. The hammocks and views from the balcony was a morning ritual. I wouldn’t have changed a thing and I will be going back !

Paradise Beach Hotel and Resorts: Great location

Was asked to make a review by tripcentral, particularly on Covid 19 measures. I’m not going to comment on that. If people are still afraid of a treatable virus, they shouldn’t travel. The resort itself is run down. The location is great. I wouldn’t recommend all inclusive. There are many restaurants close by to enjoy. The staff is friendly, the bed is ok, shower is tiny. Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Good room, horrible food, overcrowded beach

We came to this resort only because its proximity to the reef. We booked all-inclusive package, with accommodation in premier queen studio. We were aware of the reviews about food described as not very good, but could not imagine that it could be so bad. The description said that there is an international buffet and La Palapa Grill and Bar - a la carte for lunch and dinner. It turned out that the all-inclusive package included only international buffet, with very few dish choices, and worst ev [... read more]er-imaginable food. It was so bad, that I got food poisoning, which kept me with nasty diarrhea, stomach cramps, and high fever for the whole 24 hours, and inability to eat for another 2 days due to nausea and continuing stomach cramps. I never had any food poisoning in any of the all-inclusive resorts we travelled over the years. The other time time they served me a glass (one glass!) of 'red wine', which made me really sick and intoxicated. This was the only alcoholic drink which I had that day. God knows what this 'red wine' was made of! The advertised in the package La Palapa Grill and Bar was for extra money only, although the package on the web-site described it as included in it. The bar, which was also included in the package was serving 'paying' customers first, and only then turned their attention to all-inclusive guests. The beach in West Bay, where the hotel is located, is overcrowded, and constantly swarmed by local people trying to sell you something. The studio we had is really nice with full kitchen and big fridge, which is useless in that location, as there is no place there where to buy groceries, unless you hire a taxi, or rent a car to drive to Coxen Hole, where supposedly there is a grocery store. Overall, if not for the reef, the resort turned to be disappointment, both because of misrepresentation of the available services - only one restaurant instead of two, and the quality of the food.

The resort was great, the pool amazing and the beach absolutely fantastic. However, the food was a little bit limited to choices and some of the staff only catered to the paying customers. We would absolutely go back if only for the Beach, Snorkeling and the Pool.

This was our 3rd time at this hotel,well kept and clean. We just did the breakfast plan,checked out lots of local restaurants all within a few mins walk from the hotel.The best thing is the location,right on the beach at West Bay.

Infinity Bay was a great place the room was wonderful The food was great we never had a bad meal. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Our only problem was the vendors on the beach. Some off entrainment was good .We heard one of the singers was playing we went to see him of the resort.

The condos are very spacious, very clean. The view of the ocean is spectacular. It is an amazing resort for Snorkeling or Scuba Diving. There was always a large variety of food to choose from. The food was amazing! There is no night life at this resort which was disappointing for me as I prefer to watch shows or live entertainment. The staff were not overly friendly.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Wonderful vacation

This resort was fantastic. With Covid 19, we were hesitant to vacation anywhere but we felt very safe here. The staff constantly wore masks, the buffet had servers so it was completely contactless and there was glass barriers separating the food and servers from the customers. At the bars and restaurants we noticed that if you put down a straw or napkin on the table, the servers or bartenders would use a napkin to pick it up. We were pleasantly surprised with all the safety measures put in place at this resort and actually felt safer there than here in Ontario. The only downfall was the amount of local vendors on the beach, we couldn't walk down the beach without being stopped several times. Obviously they have been suffering with this pandemic as they rely mostly on tourism and the lack of travelers for the past year and a half has been devastating to them.

Fantasy Island: disappointed

Roatan is beautiful, our resort disappointing. The staff were very friendly and hard working. They did the best the could with what they had. Our beach was breathtaking so beautiful and the snorkeling at our resort was awesome. Thank goodness because the resort itself was very disappointing. It was very run down. we never had hot water the entire week we were there. Cold showers all week. No coffee bar. Very limited drinks (alcohol) all served in paper small cups no fresh fruit or garnish. The entrance to the resort boasts pillars that the lights have been knocked off or fallen off the cobblestone roadway overgrown and dirty. No security at the main entrance (building empty) once inside the main entrance your security guard lets down a chain for you to drive through ( that's the gate)It was like since the resort opened there has been no maintenance or updates. No fresh paint , old shingles on the stairs everything is deteriorating, the curtains on the buffet look as though they hadn't been washed since they were hung I am guessing over 10 years ago. you will drive over a very suspect wooden bridge and see lot's of garbage along the way as well as a completely deteriorated tennis court. you do not get any pop or bottled water in your mini fridge only a open picture of water not very sanitary. The pool was so cloudy you could barely see the logo on the bottom. The beach was amazing and very clean. It was raked daily. The re rest of the grounds had a lot of garbage and very poorly landscaped. No pretty flowers just overgrown hedges Excursions were great and very reasonable. The resident monkeys Monique and Paco were a delight. Definitely the potential to be a beautiful place just needs some TLC

Fantasy Island: Pleasant Surprise

Most of the reviews are correct, the hotel is clean, staff are very friendly, beach is fantastic, can’t get better snorkeling right at the beach at the gazebo and out by the channel no need to pay to go out by boat, food was plentiful and good all buffet style. Choices beef, pork, chicken, pasta and fish almost everyday. Rooms overlooking the beach are great, The resort has friendly monkeys that come around and are playful but will steal your stuff! The alcohol included is normal but [... read more] for premium stuff you will need to pay extra, no blender drinks and seems strange entertainment still is going on and the bar closes at 10pm. There is a little bar down at the marina open in the evenings at 2$ a beer, great hosts Chris and Lori, nice spot to have a drink before dinner and talk to the people around the world who berth their sail boats for the winter. Would return as value for the $ and that it has 3 outstanding beach’s and plenty of lounge chairs shade or sun.

Henry Morgan Resort: HN

HM is a 2.5 3 star hotel . Grounds need some work but feels like you are in small cottages. On the beach which is beautiful lots of lounge chairs . Food ok but not a lot of choices for the more health conscious. Staff are friendly and try to assist . Lots to see and do on island. Remember this is Central America diff than Mexico but a wonderful place to check out.

Infinity Bay Spa and Beach Resort: Amazing resort, but better management of beach area would make it even better.

The hotel itself, the grounds, the food were all fantastic. unfortunately, despite being told that they had a million dollar water purification system and that tap water was safe, both my wife and I ended up with issues. On the bus trip back to the airport, it seems that 90 percent of the people that were there had the same problem. The beach was pristine, and snorkeling was fantastic. The area available for beach chairs with shade was totally inadequate. The chairs had about a foot of space between, so not the best situation. The continuous stream of beach vendors was a real deterrent to having some peace.

Media Luna Resort: Amazing and we will go back again!!!

This is the second time I have been to Media Luna and it's by far the best place we've ever been. The food is amazing and the staff are phenomenal! I would highly recommend. very clean beautiful resort.

Media Luna Resort: Media Luna...lots of fun in the sun!

We really enjoyed our week at Media Luna. Good food, and lots of it. Lovely common areas (lobby, upper games room, pool, terraces and decks, beautiful dining hall). Nice beach, but a lot of sand fleas (which were easy to avoid by sitting on many partially shaded decks). Good snorkelling. Good entertainment available during the day. At night the music was very loud, booming, Caribbean dance music. Perhaps there could be a balance between that and other types of dance music (rock 'n roll, s [... read more]wing, country, soft rock) so more than just the (wonderful) entertainment staff would enjoy dancing more? Great staff! Great cabanas instead of rooms! Very well-kept grounds. Clean and comfortable everywhere. My brother and his wife are on their way there today, based on our recommendation. Fantasy Island: Amazing Beach and Snorkelling

I just want to say the beach and snorkelling at this resort is amazing. The resort is not what I had expected from reviews I read. The resort is dated, the beds are rock hard as well as the pillows. There is only 1 small buffet with limited selection for any meal. The food was good however, there is only 1 snack bar that is only open from 11-3pm and only serves hot dogs, hamburgers, French fries and pizza. Buffet only open for the 3 meals BF 7-9am Lunch 12:30 -2pm and dinner 6: [... read more]30 -8pm. If you didn’t get there when the buffet opened they ran out of certain dishes and would not replenish. The resort does offer an a la cart menu at the buffet for $$$ Coffee is terrible, wait staff will not bring you coffee. Just water and pop. Coffee is Nescafé instant and milk is either powdered coffee whitener or carnation 2% canned milk. Drip coffee was horrible. No cappuccino and specialty coffee available. Milk for cereal served hot. Many complaints all week with lack of hot water in the rooms. Once a complaint was made they staff would fix but it happened daily. No hair dryers in the rooms ladies. If you ask for one at the front desk you must leave your drivers licence for collateral. Air conditioning is great, we had a hammock on our porch over looking the ocean. Plentiful beach chairs and shade. Cleaning staff work hard and are awesome. Room cleaned and stocked with fresh linen every day. Room bar fridge only had a pitcher of water. No bottled water or even beer or pop in the fridge. So strange. Water cooler outside every building. No ice machines. Staff are friendly and some speak English. The pool is a mess and people barely used it. More used for diving lessons then by patrons. Pool has crack edges missing tiles and is murky at best. You cannot see the logo at the bottom of the pool. Water clarity is terrible. Never clear looking. There is a swim up pool bar but it was not operational the whole week we were there. There is only 1 bar and only open 10am-10 pm. We were refused when asked for more than 2 drinks to take back to our table of 4. So two people would have to go to the bar to get 4 drinks for our table. Only one person serving at the bar which at times was frustrating waiting. No wait staff to bring you drinks. Tipping does not get you any better service either. There are 2 monkeys onsite and they are playful and will let you hold them. They are mischievous and will take items. Will miss the monkeys Poco and Monique. Entertainment was a joke. Overall it is a beautiful location but too bad it has been neglected. I will definitely go back to Roatan but would not go back to Fantasy Island Resort.

Henry Morgan Resort: Loved our trip

This was a great place to stay and good value for money. The staff was great. We stayed in one of the standard rooms, which apparently are one of the "older" rooms, but we got to see the newer ones and honestly liked ours better. The room was great, spacious, the bed was SO comfortable, balcony was a nice touch. Food was good, buffet doesn't have too much variety but we weren't there for the food and didn't mind it at all. The only negative I have is that there is no free wifi anywhere on the resort, you have to pay for it for the week, per device. Prices were somewhat reasonable considering, so we got it. I unfortunately had some work to do while away that I couldn't avoid and one meeting I had to call in for. The wifi was really not good, very poor connection most of the time. If it was free, I wouldn't really care but since we paid for it, I would've expected a much better connection. Anyways, overall, great place to stay - we are already considering when we can return. But next time I will make sure I leave my work at home and won't bother with internet unless their connection improves.
