Amazing Resort

This hotel is dated however, it is kept very clean and the grounds are meticulous! The staff are outstanding. In the 12 years we have been going to Cuba, this is honestly one of the best resorts as far as staffing goes. Doesn't matter how crazy busy it gets, the staff are always smiling and always there to take care of you. The beach is amazing!!! The water is definitely gorgeous! The beach is always clean and there are always palapas available.

Not a bad resort for the money, nice beach, average pools, great staff, food was basic. Lost the power a few times but came back on in a minute or so. long walk to the beach, Mosquitoes around at night, take bug spray. Mojito is a 6 1/2 out of 10

Not bad

To start the check-in was good and the room was reasonable by Cuba standards. The first few days food was very slim. I do understand the resort was at low occupancy. As the week progressed the food got decent as more people were checked in. It was interesting to see the different workers would either favor Cubans or dismiss Cubans as customers. The biggest note to me was the store in the hotel, prices were twice as much as a tourist than they are as a Cuban. I also noticed that The storekeeper was accepting cash which in my understanding is not permitted in Cuba. If you're at any store in any hotel or outside always get an itemized invoice and it's better to pay with credit card. When this was brought up to customer service they said sorry and nothing was done. In other hotels that this has happened and I have told customer service they have done something. Overall I would not suggest this hotel

Good resort if you enjoy peace and quiet

I enjoyed my stay its a great place to relax. Its a huge resort and could easily find a quiet spot all to yourself as this place is catered to mostly older folks the staff is very friendly entertainment here is not the best The cleaning ladies were awesome as the room was always super clean and the service at the buffet is very very slow as it seems that they don't really care for their job as I often had to beg repeatedly for drinks at the table. Exactly what we were looking for

Nice little resort, perfect for relaxing vacation, not so much a party place. There is just a right amount of everything. Great people, great service, decent accommodation, beautiful beach, clean pools, decent selection of beverages….. If you are looking for a big place with a lot of people partying 24/7, than this is not your place. If you are looking for a place to have a nice and relaxing vacation with fantastic service by the fantastic people, a place where you will feel like at home  [... read more]away from home, than this is the right place for you. We found our place and we will be coming back to Mojito, hopefully for many more years to come.

Great getaway

Nice hotel, love the weather walking distance to the beach, my only complaint is the local shops in and around the hotel are overpriced. Other than that it is a great getaway from Canada's harsh winter and I would totally recommend this resort or Cayo Coco in general.

Another Wonderful Visit to Mojito

Mojito is a small resort that is staffed by absolutely amazing people...this is why we return over and over! After a long 3 years away due to COVID I was finally able to return for 3 weeks this November. No ingredients for this salad - another type is created. No supply of some types of liquor or mix - fancy and tasty new drinks created. I cannot say enough about the adaptability and willingness to please that I experienced. I also did not feel that shortages affected the enjoyment in any way....and I certainly didn't go hungry! When visiting the Mojito I think it's important to understand/remember that this is not a 5 star resort - and it is unfair to expect 5 star amenities. The rooms could use some refreshing however they are immaculately clean and inviting. The buffet is extensive and filled with good food - but lobster and steak are not the norm...and realistically a gourmand would not choose Cuba as a vacation destination. The Mojito is a hotel where you will be treated as a valued guest and staff go out of their way to make your stay memorable....a place where you will make friends among the staff, meet great fellow guests...and most importantly enjoy the beauty that is Cuba and the Cuban people.

Never dissapoints!!

I am a repeat client to this resort. Mojito ne er dissapoints. Clean, welcoming with the best staff around. Will be returning again. Minutes from the airport, great market walking distance away. A la carte restaurant, pizza bar....

Amazing

Hotel mojito is amazing the staff make this place great. They go beyond to make u smile and be comfortable. I will definitely go there again for the people and staff of mojito. They were always smiling and so nice to my kids. Always helpful. I've traveled quite a bit and never experienxe such kindness

THIS WAS OUR 4TH TIME STAYING AT THE MOJITO- THE STAFF CONTINUES TO PROVIDE A WARM AND SAFE AND FUN VACATION. WE LOVE THE MOJITO! SPECIAL PLACE AND THE MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACH! Great resort

My husband and I stayed at the Mojito March 18-25th. We have been to this resort many times and we can’t say enough for the hard working and resilient Cubans who work here. The grounds are lovely. The food was great with a nice selection of cold cuts, cheeses, fruits and vegetables and fresh baked bread and sweet cakes daily. Covid has played a significant role in the decline of Canadian tourists so to offset costs there were many Cuban families enjoying the resort. It was nice to see children [... read more], parents and grandparents together. Everyone was very respectful and we were treated well by tourists and staff. There was a supply chain issue where there wasn’t any milk for coffee for 24 hours but not an issue for us. A Good Samaritan procured milk from another resort for the little ones.. Our room was pristine with a very comfortable bed. The housekeepers work very hard at this place and their workload is heavy. The main lounge had great drinks and nightly entertainment that was relaxing… so much talent. The pools are clean and well maintained.. The beach is pristine and the beach bar is fun.. We didn’t do the a la carts but heard from others that they were very classy and the food was wonderful. Covid protocol was in effect and all employees were masked as well as most tourists. Hand sanitizers were all over the resort. Don’t hesitate to go to the Mojito for relaxation, great food and nice hospitality. We felt very safe, people are wonderful and hopefully you will return again and again. Cuban banks don’t accept coins so please tip generously.

Relaxed fun with great service!

If vacation means quiet relaxing, enjoying the pool or beach and meeting fun people - you will enjoy the Iberostar Mojito. This is an older hotel - but well maintained. Staff are amazing and will gladly go out of their way to help you no matter what your needs. Food service is not fancy - with several options - but I prefer the buffet - always something delicious there. Excellent holiday at Mojito

all was very good except for a lack of washrooms around pools- rooms & grounds very well kept staff very friendly-good activities for our grand kids -food was good breakfast especially-fruit was somewhat scarce

Absolutely Amazing!

We had an amazing time! Staff was super friendly and helpful! Rooms were nice and the resort is clean and absolutely beautiful! Food was really good and drinks were always cold!! We did a few excursions off the resort and found everyone very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful week!!

Great resort

I enjoyed our stay at this resort the staff was very friendly. The rooms were quite nice and clean. The beach was gorgeous and lots of access to lounge chairs. They had good burgers and fries at the beach restaurant and yummy pizza at the 24 hour bar. Only 10-15 minutes from the airport.

It's kind of like Cheers.

I may be dating myself with this reference, but this resort is a special place for those that find it special - like the bar, Cheers, in the TV Show, where everyone knows your name. To see so many people return again for another stay at their "Cuban Home" is to appreciate the feel of the resort. This was the second time that we stayed at the Mojito, the first time was six years ago .. and you can see the changes that time and a destructive wind event had upon the grounds and structures. A couple that we met on the beach summed it up nicely when they said that this is the hidden gem of Cayo Coco ... they're probably right.

Friendly people, very dated resort

2/3 of resort closed from hurricane damage several years ago...resort consists of a central core restored to a minimum acceptable standard. food okay, service when required was excellent. standard rooms are not well appointed.

Beautiful resort

My sister and I just returned from the resort Feb 13. It was beautiful. Both of us have been to Cuba many times. We cannot say enough about the staff. Chicio(Alexander) at the lobby bar remembered what we liked after one day. The grill guys were marvelous. Tasty omelets and grilled fish. And the pasta bar always great. This was the first Cuban resort that had creme caramel as dessert. My favorite thing was not having to race for chairs at either the beach or the pools. The "superior" rooms were well stocked with amenities drinks and beach towels. Look for the churo cart by pool restaurant in the afternoon.

Staff make this Resort the very Best to Visit!

This resort is an awesome place for vacation, the rooms are in need of a bit of updating but are very clean, the food is awesome, lots of choices and the dessert bar is fabulous (love the Cuban Ice-cream) The beach is a wee bit of a distance to walk to over a bridge, however when you arrive it is so amazing, lots of space on the beach and you can walk for ever!
