Playa Pesquero: Unfortunately canceled

Unfortunately night before leaving February 10th all flights to Cuba were canceled and now we are waiting for our full refund. Sadly due to Elizabeth's age of 80 she was so looking forward to this vacation. And with increased prices for Dominican and Mexico this won't be possible Wishing safety and good health to all our Cuban friends. Until we can be together again. Always in our thoughts and prayers ?

Playa Costa Verde: Playa Costa Verde

My trip was a nightmare, I dont know where to start so im not going to! Was there for 2 weeks and living on pins and needles not knowing when our trip would come to an end!!! We were sent home to days short of our vacation with multiple inconveniences Hoping to get some kind compensation for this. I will not be traveling back ever!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Last visit to this resort

On our first full day, we encountered an issue in the dinner buffet involving staff members. We were upset that at 8:30pm in the evening, nothing was being replenished for a 10pm closing. No wine, veggies for pasta bar, ice cream and so on. When we decided to leave and go to the snack bar, Bites, to eat, and after the staff became aware that we were not happy, 8-10 staff members came outside and started laughing. One lady in particular was pointing and laughing at us very loudly. When I [... read more] turned around and they say how upset I had become, they all started to scramble, and I wanted to get their names, especially of the one pointing at us. She refused to give me her name, so I threatened to take her picture (which I didn't take), to show it to her supervisor. A young gentleman that was working that evening named Daniel, diffused the situation and apologized for the staff behavior. We were given a bottle of wine for our room, which we never did drink. We then left the buffet, and went to Bites to eat. There, I was approached by a staff member wanted to know my room number. I refused to give it to her. She said she worked in customer service, but I still refused. I was starting to feel like something might happen to us, if we were being followed and they wanted to know where we were staying. The next day, after cooling off with the incident, we talked to a woman who books the ala carte dinners, and explained what had happened the previous evening. She then called in another woman and explained our situation the previous evening. She told me that she would look into our encounter and get back to us. That never happened, so on our last day while waiting for the bus to take us to the airport, I spoke the the gentleman in the Premium lounge, and he took me to the customer service room to clear up what had happened. The same woman that wanted to know my room number was there, and she called in her boss. They both made it sound like I was lying and that their staff did no wrong. Great customer service. I had refused to go back to the buffet for the rest of that week, and stuck to my word. I was humiliated at the buffet and then again by the customer service. After my 3rd trip to this resort, I will never be back.

Sol Caribe Beach: Nice Stay

Nice resort, aesthetically it's great everything feels new, rooms are nice and comfy for Cuban standards. Pool is nice and the beach is amazing. The only thing i would say is there is not much going on in terms of activities.. specially for kids. As for food, the buffet was okay. We booked the A la Carte restaurants but they were not nice, similar to the buffet and one of them was not even open when we showed up. Playa Luxury Cayo Guillermo: Nice Resort

We stayed a week at this hotel. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate for us. The grounds, for the most part, are well kept. We appreciated the palms although there did seem to be not much in the way of flowers. Maybe it was the time of year. Our room was the largest we have had in Cuba. This was our 15th visit to the country. We did, however, experience some electrical issues and, at times, lack of hot water. There was lots of food choices. We appreciated the buffet and havi [... read more]ng an excellent person on the eggs made to order station. Great variety of hot and cold items. Even tomatoes. Always red or white wine or beer on order for lunch or dinner. We did two al la cartes and were not impressed with either one. But, the snack bar has a fabulous burger. Most delicious. The winds were too cold for us to use any of the three pools as they are not heated. We noted there was only one public restroom for pool users that was located over at the snack bar which is some distance away. Not very handy. And, as always, the lounge chairs were gone by early morning by those that put their towel on them. The restroom off the lobby needs a total gut job. Not nice in there. However, there is one on the opposite side of the check in counter that was good. Too cold and windy for us to walk the beach or use the beach bar. It would be nice if staff had a name badge. Our room maid did not understand English. I did use Google translate. She looked after us well and kept our mini bar stocked daily with water and Crystal beer. As seniors, we did note there is a lot of walking to get to the buffet, etc. Our room was in building 11 up on a hill. The pool view rooms are lower down and right by the pools. The villas that have a plunge pool are definitely on level ground and walkways. We did note lack of lighting on our walk back up to our room. We certainly made use of our led flashlight during our stay. We really appreciated the dedicated transportation to and from the airport. No stopping at other hotels. Yay!

Memories Jibacoa: Our Favourite Cuban Resort

The hotel is situated between the mountains and the beach 45 minutes from the airport and has beautiful gardens and palms throughout. A short swim out in the ocean reveals long reefs that are an excellent spot to snorkel. If you are a walker the beach is a lovely stretch to enjoy. It is an older hotel but well laid out with easy access to all amenities. The pool is large and well maintained.Rooms are clean, housekeeping is excellent. The staff are warm, friendly and accommodating. Several à l [... read more]a carte restaurants were onsite: the buffet is clean and well stocked.The food, coffees and drinks are above average; we were pleased with the choices and quality. Water was provided daily. Activities were onsite and entertainment was varied; musicians played many evenings.WiFi was a bit sporadic. Information for tours, taxis and attractions was easy to access; a Sunwing rep was present six days a week and was very informative. The appeal for this hotel is the quality of food and the lovely, caring staff.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Great time again

It is a nice resort. Found room cleanliness not as good as before. The food was okay better selection then last time' but you don't go to Cuba for the food. My only complaint really was the evening lobby entertainment. You get tired of the violin 4 out of 7 evenings' especially when a couple were not very good.

Valentin Cayo Cruz: Quiet resort

We thought the resort was very nice. It's a very quiet resort. We really enjoyed the a la carte restaurants. And we love the beach and the sunshine. There was always beer and water in our fridge in our room which was nice. The towels weren't changed everyday but as long as we hung them that was fine with us.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Excellent resort

The service, food, and overall condition of the resort, pool and beach were all excellent. We were not disappointed at all despite the economic conditions in Cuba at the time. There was nothing we went without the whole time we were there and had an amazing trip. Would definitely recommend this resort.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great trip and Resort

We visited Memories Caribe during the week of Feb. 8, 2026. We were repatriated back home to Canada on Feb. 16. Aside from the geopolitics with Cuba, the resort overall, and resort staff continued to do amazing work to ensure we were always satisfied and happy. At no time did the stress of what was taking place outside the resort for these employees play a role in how they went about their work with us. I witnessed strong, dedicated, resilient people. We were well aware of the conditions they fa [... read more]ced at home, and even while we enjoyed the resources of the resort, it was never far from our minds of the challenges they faced when they went home. Many of them working 16 hour days, more than 7 consecutive days in a row. We travelled to Cuba for many years, and this is the biggest challenge and hardship they will ever face, by far. Our hearts go out to the people of Cuba and when the time is right we will return to Cuba and to Memories Caribe.

Starfish Jibacoa: Wonderful Staff

Very helpful with any questions, I will return! I love the reef off the beach, I saw lots of different fish while snorkeling. I saw a puffer fish, a barracuda, many smaller colourful fish. I even saw an octopus! I certainly hope the country opens again soon, I wish the world could see the wonderful people of Cuba and experience a nice, safe vacation.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: AMAZING STAFF BUT HOTEL NEEDS PEST CONTROL

THE BEACH WAS BEAUTIFUL ALTHOUGH HOTEL STAFF MADE NO EFFORT TO REMOVE EXCESS SEAWEED AFTER STORMS. THE HOTEL IS STYLISH ALTHOUGH OLDER AND KEPT CLEAN. THE ROOMS WERE NICELY LAID OUT ALTHOUGH WE DID SEE ROACHES AS DID OUR FRIENDS. WE WERE MOVED TO THE NEXT BUILDING AFTER 2 DAYS FOR SOME CHEMICAL WORK THEY CALLED IT WHERE WE SAW MORE ROACHES WITH A SEWAGE SMELL THAT SEEMED TO COME FROM PLUMBING. THE BUFFETT WAS ADEQUATE BUT THE ALLA CARTE MENU WAS MUCH BETTER. THE PORTIONS WERE VERY GOOD AND THEY  [... read more]OFFERRED STEAK AND SALMON WHICH WERE COOKED PERFECTLY. ALL THE STAFF WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND WORK VERY HARD .WE WERE NOT HAPPY WITH THE SUNWING REP WHO REFUSED TO ACCEPT OUR INITIAL TRANSFER REQUEST TO NEXTDOOR HOTEL DUE TO THE ROACHES. SHE WANTED MORE MONEY REGARDLESS OF PRICING FOR NEXT DOOR ACTUALLY BECAME CHEAPER. SHE REDIRECTED OUR COMPAINT TO JEANETTE WHO SEEMED TO BE THE HOTEL TROUBLE SHOOTER. JEANETTE WORKD VERY HARD TO TRY AND MAKE IT UP TO US ALTHOUGH THIS DEFERRAL WAS NOT FAIR TO HER. SUNWING REP SHOULD HAVE DELT WITH US. I WOULD RATE THIS AS A FOUR STAR AT BEST IF THEY GET RID OF THE ROACHES

Club Tropical: club tropical 1 ave Varadero

This is the 3rd time at this hotel. Very well managed, personnel always cleaning outside. Very clean, rooms as well. Very good beach and pool. Activities also. Management always around checking everything. will go again.

Melia Las Americas: The beach and resort absolutely beautiful!

I wanted to share my feedback about the stay Eliana arranged for us at Melia Las Americas in Varadero this February. The beach was absolutely beautiful — soft white sand and clear, clean water. It never felt overcrowded; there was always plenty of space and we could easily find available chairs and umbrellas. The same was true for the pool area, which was quiet and relaxing with very few people. Although the rooms are a bit dated and could use some refreshing, they were clean and had every [... read more]thing we needed. The hotel itself, however, was fantastic and very well maintained. The long terrace running the length of the property was impressive, furnished with beautiful seating and offering a beach view from almost anywhere. There was plenty of space for everyone to relax comfortably. We were pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of the buffet food — there was something for every taste. There was also a wide selection of alcohol, including wine that was quite drinkable. The à la carte restaurants were good and reservations were relatively easy to get. Service throughout the resort was very good, and the Sunwing representative was especially helpful, patient, and friendly. From our perspective, this hotel offered more charm and better views than the other resorts along the same stretch of beach. Most guests seemed to be golf groups, since the hotel is within walking distance of the golf course. Entertainment was minimal during the day and limited in the evening, so it may not be ideal if lively activities are a priority. Overall, we would definitely return to this hotel and we highly recommend it. Thank you again for arranging a wonderful trip.

Playa Pesquero: Beautiful place, beautiful people

We’ve been to this resort many times. This visit we treated ourselves to the Luxury section. We have never been so pampered and cared for. The staff and management are warm and attentive. Because the Luxury section is smaller in size we were able to really get to know the staff and this was one of the best and memorable parts of this visit. The food was delicious. The room was spacious and clean. The grounds were expectable. We cannot wait to go back.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo: One of our Top Cuba Experiences

We were pleasantly surprised with this location. A great layout to access and enjoy the various features and exterior spaces. Pools beautiful and clean. There are some buildings a few moments away , we were in building 4 - a short 10 minute walk to the as expected BEAUTIFUL beach. One of the key features was the exception food. The main buffet was very good, many thoughtful touches. The Italian and Indian alacartes were fantastic. Our room was very good, comfortable bed and everything you need [... read more] and very clean. Great beverage variety. Another key feature was the staff and customer service. Everyone was very nice and welcoming. The evening entertainment in the theater and lobby entertainment very enjoyable. I would describe this location as accessible. There were numerous ramps in and out of the main lobby as well as among the pool levels. The public washrooms were always very clean and well stocked. I would definitely return to this location.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Overall great resort

Lots of amenities; excellent beach. Ok staff, not too friendly. Ok bars, pool and drinks. My room did not have toilet paper regularly. My room did not have power or light on some days. My room did not have a tv remote and it took 2 days for staff to get a different TV.

Grand Aston Varadero Beach Resort: Amazing reaort

I have been to this resort again and again. All of the staff are amazing and friendly, the management system is top notch, the food is always the best no matter which season I have been there. Rooms are clean and functioning. Safe and quality people attending. It's very close to Santa Marta, can walk there in 20 min for culture And just. 10 min tour bus ride to Varadero.
