Peaceful and beautiful

Resort was incredible, grounds are gorgeous, lush and very well kept. Beach is quiet and sunsets are gorgeous. Staff all very nice. Rooms well appointed. We stayed in building 8A which had a Beira of the ocean but very private. A bit of a walk to the main lobby and most restaurants but very close to pools and beach and oceana restaurant. Food was absolutely outstanding. All the seafood is fresh, presentation incredible. Cant say enough about the food. In fact best food we have ever had at an all [... read more] inclusive specifically Oceana, the Sushi at the Japenese restaurant, Mexican restaurant and the pool grill was also amazing. Would def recommend to anyone. Preferred club allows you access to a lounge where they have a small buffet and also top shelf liquors. Well worth it for us! Only downside is the 2 hour drive from airport but we knew that going in. Take a trip to the rainforest- def a highlight of our trip.

Dreams Costa Rica

Fantastic all-inclusive resort, if you don’t mind things a little quieter and lots of privacy. We stayed in preferred near the beach with an ocean view, well worth the upgrade. The food and restaurants are very good, the seafood is outstanding! No signing up for restaurants, pagers are given if you have to wait a bit, no more than 20 minutes for 2 ppl. Service was good and gets better when you take the time to get to know the staff. Be prepared to travel a bit (1-2hrs) for off resort excursio [... read more]ns but the sloth jungle trail we did was a highlight. Gorgeous grounds and new clean and spacious rooms. Lots of pools and activities. Beach is clean brown sand and water clear. It is the only resort in the bay. I would recommend this resort to anyone, and we’re not all-inclusive lovers. Who doesn’t like seeing monkeys on the beach:). Great selection at the hotel souvenir shop however I must complain that the prices were the worst price gouging I have seen, worse that the airport even.

Comfortable and enjoyable vacation

We found our vacation at Dreams Las Mareas very enjoyable. The room was large and had many amenities to make our stay delightful and the view of the tropical greenery very relaxing. The hot tub on the balcony was invigorating and a plus we did not expect. The attention to detail in all the food areas made for very delicious and appetizing meals with service second to none. We enjoyed the beach, rather than the pool area, since lounge chairs in cooler and shaded areas were always available.  [... read more] We were pleasantly surprised that the hotel made a fuss about being there for our 61st anniversary by placing a large banner on our room door, housekeeping made a large decoration on our bed and sending, and room service placed a fruit tray and a bottle of wine with glasses, bottle opener, etc. to celebrate the occasion. There was always a shuttle service cart to take us to distant parts of the resort and the entire staff made sure we were always satisfied with the service we received.

Great spot if you are looking to just kick back and relax.

The hotel facilities (rooms, restaurants, pools and employees) were exceptional. Everyone was very friendly and made sure our stay was as pleasant as could be. Food choices and quality were excellent. It might not be the best choice if your interested in doing a lot of excursions to see Costa Rica as the resort is fairly isolated, so most excursions required a considerable amount of time being spent on tour busses.

What a dream!

What a great week we had at Dreams! This hotel is 1:30 h away from Liberia airport and the ride was very pleasant. Costa Rica is a beautiful country with incredible nature. The staff at the hotel went above and beyond to make us happy. We had a small problem at the check in however was easily solved and we got an upgraded room with a great view. Amazing Stay at Dreams Las Mareas

My wife and I stayed at Dreams Las Mareas for our 31st anniversary and had an awesome stay. The pools were amazing and our swim out room was beautiful. We like all the restaurants but in particular the Portofino and the Oceana. We would definitely recommend this resort and are looking forward to going back again.

Had high hopes, BUT

THE GOOD The resort is large and the grounds are beautiful, the pool area is kept immaculate and is very large with a variety of pools. Above expectations!!!

Staff was incredible. From front lobby to servers to maintenance staff, all of them knocked it out of the park. Resort is perfectly laid out and beautifully landscaped. Even though it's not an adults only resort, there is till large pool area designated for adults only. We used this area quite often. The swim out pool was very nice from our room. The only thing we could say non positive about it was the fact there was no privacy wall between our room and the next (Rm 2105 & 2104). One could very [... read more] easily be installed and it seemed every other room had one. Perhaps it was just a missing during construction. Room was very nice and cleaning staff did a great job keeping that way without even knowing they were even there. Beach was ok. We spent most of our time near adult pool area just for simple fact that the beach is public and there are vendors on the beach that sometimes just can't take a hint that you are not interested even after repeating yourself several times. As stated before, resort is perfectly laid out. The trees and bushes dampen the sound from around the resort and is very relaxing place to be. World Café buffet offered something for everyone and the restaurants were decent enough. Only non positive thing to say about the restaurants is that we felt the service was slow even when it was not busy. Had to ask several times for the same thing from several serving staff until we got it. Not a huge deal, but when you are really hungry/thirsty, it would be nice not to have ask several times for the same thing. The Preferred Club lounge was very nice and we were quite impressed. Premium liquor and personalized service with a small snack buffet available just to get away from the majority of the resort and chill on their patio. I have already highly recommended this place to others and if/when I ever return to Costa Rica, this place made a lasting impression and would most likely return. It's a very large resort but feels small at the same time. Does not have a franchise feel to it and we enjoyed that. The resort is quite remote, so going on excursions involved a lot of travel. We wanted to go to Coco Beach for a half day or something to go to local bars and shops but was far too expensive to get there and back. Also....my wife lost her favorite hat on a Tuesday, reported it on the Thursday and the staff returned it to her on the Friday. She was thrilled and was shocked at the same time. Excellent service by the staff.

Dreams Las Mareas

Fantastic vacation,me and my wife enjoyed the week with excellent food ,beach pool,Etc.The trip to Nicaragua Volcano was amazing experience ,365 Island by boat good one Thanks to the Guide Ramano.This is our first trip to Costa Rica, we are planing a trip next year with our kids and grand children. fruits are tasty and sweet.

Beyond amazing

everything was beyond amazing, no complaints. we wish we could have stayed a bit longer. Staff was extremely friendly. Food was excellent, and the guest were very well behaved. Activities were awesome. will do it in a flash anytime.

Most incredible vacation!

Nothing but amazing things to say about this place. Food is beyond incredible, staff is always ready to help and WANTS to help. Rooms are gorgeous and very clean. Views are spectacular! 100% best resort we've ever stayed at! Only thing to note is the beach isn't your typical beach, a little rocky. The pool and sunset make up for the only small percent it's lacking!

Highly recommend

My husband and I just returned and we had an amazing time. Loved the resort but the beach is not the greatest because of volcanic sand and the ocean was cold and we are ocean swimmers. Having said that the pools were very good so it worked out. Food was plentiful and fairly good. Rooms were very clean and staff friendly.

Wonderful Week!

My wife and I spent a week at Dreams Las Mareas commencing April 8, 2019. We had conducted research on the resort prior to our visit and found the experience to be absolutely excellent. The staff were great, the food was excellent, the resort clean and tidy. The beach was also very clean and great for swimming. We found that there was plenty of things to do and therefore we had an active healthy vacation in spectacular weather. Special thanks go out to Gaby and Maria at Swiss Travel: Morela and [... read more] Nolan at Amstar, Mauricio at the Entertainment Centre and Dennys at the Oceana restaurant. All of these individuals excelled in customer service and made our visit that much more enjoyable. Improvement Opportunities: The hotel provides free Wi Fi. We found it to be very inconsistent. It is great that it is free, but it also needs to work. The hotel sales effort in regard to the Spa and also Wine. Guests do not desire a hard sale on this minutes after checking in. Good resort

The hotel is set in a beautiful place but far away from airport and other attractions. We really liked the pools and beach activities. Food was amazing, had many many options!! Would go there again. Service was awesome as well!!

Amazing hidden gem

Great resort, great food, the buffet was just as good as the a la cartes, clean rooms that are very nice and spacious. Enough pool areas for everyone and lots of greenery to keep it feeling private and quiet.

Amazing Resort

Staff were friendly and courteous. Facility was top notch and a beautiful property. 1hr and 45 mins from airport so a bit far but worth the wait. Beach area small but nice. Great place and would definitely go back again.

Stunning

The whole hotel experience was amazing.... The food was wonderful Nice that we wheren't being nickel and dimed for this extra and that....all included meant that... Although the 200.00 voucher thing is a bit misleading.... All the staff where great especially a few of the guys in the entertainment end... Jefffery was especially great...positive ... a lot of fun...was clearly having fun himself.. Beautiful resort, great service and wonderful amenities. My family enjoyed a fabulous vacation at this property and would definitely return for another stay. We absolutely loved Costa Rica. Pura Vida!

Couldn’t have been better!

No complaints. Beautiful resort. Excellent food, internet everywhere. Fabulous! Loved the activities at the resort and off resort. Highly recommend it. We got upgraded to preferred too! Rooms were beautiful.

Awesome resort!

Beautiful resort! Food was amazing.. I am someone who gets a stomach ache from all the food I eat at resorts, but I was completely fine with everything at this resort. Pools were spectacular and all the staff were amazing. The rooms are so well kept. They will mop the entire floor each day and clean the room so that it is sparkling.
