Wonderful experience. Great staff. The layout and grounds are very comfortable as was my room. I found many of the guests had been there many times resulting in a warm family like atmosphere. This is an adult only place and most did their best to behave like one. If possible in this quickly changing world I would be happy to return.

I had a fantastic time! The beach was beautiful, the resort was lovely, staff were so friendly, the food was great, my room was comfortable and I felt well looked after. I would definitely recommend!

Memories Trinidad Del Mar: Excellent choice

The beach is superb and the other amenities quite acceptable. The staff is excellent and helpful. Recommended as a good choice for a holiday. The only downside is spotty internet access if you need to stay in touch. Not the fault of the resort but a consideration

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: terrific resort.

We went from January 13th to 20th. We picked the perfect week. Only had one cloudy breezy day in which we went to the pool instead. The rest of the week was average 25-27 celcius. Our room was good and clean each day. Nice balcony view from building four. We very enjoyed the buffet. Lots to pick from with four grills going .The dessert tables were very good. The resort looked only about 60% full but the staff everywhere from bartenders to maids to the guy on the beach who always had the perfect lounges for us were extremely courteous. In a nutshell we had a great time and look forward to going back in April ( if Trump don't screw up their oil supply from venezela )

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Pleased overall

The Butler service was amazing. They went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of everyday. The ocean view from our room was spectacular. The pool was pretty great. Not amazing but still great. The staff goes above and beyond so 10 out of 10 for them. We were very happy with most of our drinks even though they often ran out of stuff but it is what it is. I wouldn't rate lower because of that. Honestly the only thing I will say is that the a la carte restaurants were all the same s*** that you get at the buffet. (Meat , Rice, beans) The only one a la carte that was amazing was the Italian cuz you could get a great pizza which us Canadians love night!!

Memories Cayo Largo: Beautiful beach!

This was our first time in Cayo Largo. As always the people are wonderful and the beaches are spectacular. The food was good, the bed was comfortable, the shower had no pressure. The pool was good, the bars ran out of vodka and lacked basic mix like club soda and tonic but they always had cerveza (so that was good!).

January 13th - 27th vacation Our first time visiting Sanctuary at Grand Memories Holguin and am pleased to say our trip was fantastic. The Premium upgrade with butlers was outstanding. We were assigned Dariel as our daytime butler and Alvaro José Blanco Pupo for the evenings. Wow!! What a pleasure to get to know these two young men. The dedication and care we received was incredible. I received Good morning texts from Dariel asking how we are doing and if anything was needed. And a [... read more] how was our day from Alvaro in the evening. They booked all our a la carte dinners and coordinated together as a team. Each would randomly show up to say hello at breakfast or lunch and dinner. We always felt cared for. Breakfast was ordered in advance from Dariel and always delivered for our Aunt Jeannine when she decided to sleep in. They took great care of us and her as we celebrated her 82nd birthday on this trip. We asked and received extra pillows and blankets thank you again as our room air conditioning worked to well at times. Water to our room was always working, shower pressure was as good as home. I have to mention the whole butler system at this resort is one of the best teams I have encountered in our 22yrs of travels to many different island resorts . I have had butler service in many places but nothing like this dedicated group. A few more to mention that would stop by wherever we were at the time to see how we were doing Yosbel Zaldívar Sarmiento and Pablo who is also is attending university and Michel. Michel was assigned to my brother who surprised me at the resort at the start of our second week. I was sending photos of the resort pics of the food. That helped him decide to book two days before flying out to join us for our last week. I’m sorry so many others names I can’t remember. I was ask by guests why upgrade you don’t get much more than a few extra a la cart dinners. I can say we received much more than that. Never having to go to the front desk to ask a question or make a reservation or request or to report being locked out of your safe lol Alvaro called technicians and they were prompt to arrive. Using WhatsApp or Messenger was perfect to communicate. Room service for our aunt or ourselves. Extra anything they could provide they did. And so much more to mention but it would be a book. Our breakfast and lunch in the premium section restaurants was sit down service and a game changer. No line up to wait and the service staff was so friendly and over the course of two weeks those we interacted and spoke with often would remember us and specific things we mentioned about ourselves. This resort is not lacking in wine , soft drinks or food. Our fridge was stocked daily with water, two soft drinks and 2 beers (Crystal) All our meals were large portions plus always options for staters. Every soup I tried was delicious. I’m a little scared to try on my work pants My favourite and most consistent meal was at the Creole restaurant. The pools are beautiful and clean. Our ocean view was absolutely amazing. Building A 1311 Mila and Glenise our housekeepers work very hard always clean towels, floors clean and shiny coffe maker cleaned coffee packets left for our use and took the time for some beautiful extra little touches for me in my room. Always looked forward to coming back to see what they did. The ground’s gardening staff work incredibly hard to keep it looking beautiful. I can only say from our experience we would definitely return here in the future. Same room ? ?. This resort was a bonus to find but people of Cuba are what keeps us coming back.

Memories Paraiso: Memories Paraiso January 2026

The main lobby was nice, the staff are very nice and grateful for any gifts. The beach was beautiful. Overall the hotel was not as advertised. The booking was for Pool view. We did not receive the PREMIUM CLASS JUNIOR SUITE POOL VIEW. The room needed repairs, the tub moved when you moved and felt unsafe. The hotel appeared to be doing some renovations to some buildings and one of the pools was closed. They advised of the pool closure days before departure. The concierge did assist i [... read more]n getting us the needed items missing from our room (towels, beach towels, fixing the safe). Bring your own toilet paper and carry some with you at all times as often the public washrooms did not have any. There are no face clothes or hand towels so bring your own.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Nice resort

NO HOTWATER ALL WEEK !!...but the entertainment was good..staff very friendly....they just have to fix the hot water issue....food was ok...the beach is great !!!..pizza at the beach was awesome...they bars were good too..

Grand Memories Varadero: Old and not maintained

I had an extremely disappointing stay at this hotel. From the moment I arrived, it was obvious that cleanliness and basic maintenance are not priorities here. The rooms are dirty and outdated, and housekeeping barely does anything. Changing the bed sheets seems to be the extent of their cleaning. The staff were consistently rude and unhelpful, which made every issue even more frustrating. When my door broke, I was repeatedly told maintenance would arrive in five minutes. That turned into near [... read more]ly two hours of waiting. There was no apology, no urgency, and no accountability. Because of constant problems, I was forced to switch rooms multiple times, which was exhausting and completely unacceptable. Instead of relaxing, I spent my stay dealing with one issue after another. Overall, this hotel is old, poorly maintained, and badly managed. Between the lack of cleanliness, misleading wait times, rude staff, and nonstop room changes, I would not recommend staying here. Save yourself the stress and book somewhere else.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful beach

Enjoyed our stay at Memories Caribe. Great beach beautiful grounds. Only issue was lack of hot water on some days. Route 66 sports bar was a great place to hang out and the access to the bus for the cave bar made the trip. No issues with shortages or bugs.

For the money ,this hotel was excellent. Was it a luxurious 5 star?.nope but for a very reasonable price it offered a clean air-conditioned room with a fridge and a balcony.an incredibly beautiful beach,clean pool and a good variety of food..excellent beach pizza and "bites bar"had very good sandwiches..animation team did a good job keeping it fun around the pool as well..I'll go back??

The resort is an older one but you don’t even noticed that. Its grounds are kept nice. The food was amazing! The best part is the staff! Kind, helpful, beautiful and so friendly. Bar service was top notch.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Cuba Is Suffering

I can’t say enough about the people. I’ve travelled to many islands and the Cuban people are by far the most appreciative, hospitable and this trip was no exception. Rooms were typical but clean. Beach was AMAZING. I wish people wouldn’t “cool off” (pee in the pool). If you sit and watch how many people actually leave to use the facilities you would most likely spend more time at the beach!! So we did have to ration for the week. I would have liked to change my beach towel at least once. Unfortunately they were only open the first day we arrived.

Sanctuary at Grand Memories Varadero: Awesome

I was in unit 30 and had no issues. Clean towels, garbage taken every day. Water, beer and sprite left daily. The butler was visible frequently throughout the day and was very eager to assist. Grounds were beautiful. The beach and pools were fantastic. Everything was clean. Staff were polite and helpful. I am allergic to peppers and still found plenty to eat.

Enjoyed Sanctuary Grand Memories. Owners have changed last time here was Riu. Glad to see many old staff still there. Roxana, Nancy Melys Yami all staff still at restaurant/pool bar and Jacob Manager of restaurant all did fantastic job Our Premium suite was awesome nice having 2 toilets comfortable bed. My husband and I stayed at this resort from January 7 to January 14/2026. This was our second vacation at this resort and we will definitely be returning. The last time we were there was in 2024 and imagine our surprise when we entered the lobby of Sanctuary and saw the faces of workers who were there in 2024 and THEY RECOGNIZED US and greeted us with a huge smile, big wave and hugs. We were so touched by this. We felt we were back with family. Our butler Odlanier did everything in his power to ensure our stay was great including obtaining reservations for us at à la carte restaurants each evening. I also have to give credit to the director Cesar for keeping everything running in a very organized way. We found there was an abundance of food with an excellent variety. In fact, we did not notice any shortages of anything at this resort. We even had one of our favourite types of Scotches to drink in the evening and we very much enjoyed their Spanish Coffees. The grounds at this resort were very well kept, the pool was very clean and of course the beach is one of the most beautiful we have ever seen. With all this said we will be returning to this resort in the future and one of the main reasons for saying this is how we loved the Cuban people working there. We truly felt with many of them they were part of our family!!!
