Good vacation

Nice hotel very friendly staff .hotel is clean and you can always find something to eat Diana the rep for the prestige works very hard to keep everyone happy. She is always moving and working hard.The rep for air transat is also very helpful she is very informative.and easy to talk to.we had a wonderful week.

Great resort

We like this resort. Rooms are big and comfortable. Location is great, very close to the airport. Only 20 minutes ride from the airport. Beach is amazing! Only problem with the toilet paper … Staff is very friendly

Amazing Resort

Must try Star prestige rooms. Where one can get personal swimming pool, amazing restaurant. One thing I like about the resort is they have 24 hour snack bar. Hardly 10 meters away from the beach. Resort even have water activities which are included

Amazing resort for families with young children! Beautiful beach!

The food was the best we have ever had in Cuba! The 24 hour snack bar was a hit with my children, many options, including pizza, pasta, hamburgers, hotdogs! They also had an afternoon outdoor beachside, barbeque grill, with fresh chicken, and pork, it was such a delight. The buffet also had quite a variety, including grilled shrimp, and different options for seafood and a variety of meats. Cuba definitely has the best beaches in the world, and we were so blessed to have experienced the Varadero beach front property here at Iberostar. It was GORGEOUS!

Trio Feb 29 to March 7th

Cuba getting worst resort wasn't bad what made it worst was the shortages of beer and drinks they only had rum food was same everyday shortage of eggs and same for toilet paper yet cleaning ladys in lobby holding out wait on tips for toilet paper disgusting i told Director of resort I'd rather use sleve of shirt to wipe ass rather then tip bad all around not same cuba.

Well designed place

Unfortunately, this Cuban place is plaqued like the other resorts with who i refer to as a Mr ShoutyPants whose job is to use loudspeakers to deafen guests in poolside activities most retired folks don't want to be bothered with

Very nice and clean!

As soon as we entered into the lobby there was a good vibe. Everything was clean lots of seating and very comfortable. The room was quite spacious. Had a little trouble with locking and unlocking the safe but I think it was due to batteries needing to be changed. It was great to have the option for room service as my granddaughter used it often for ordering from the snack bar. Drinks were good. I enjoyed the food. Even though there was plenty to choose from, for me it was quicker to have salads [... read more] and already prepared food rather than wait in line for meat, chicken or fish to be cooked fresh in front of you. The grounds were well cared for and all staff were very friendly and hard working. The beach was absolutely amazing. I have travelled quite a bit over Asia, US, Caribbean, Jamaica, DR and this was my first trip to Cuba and I found the beach with its clear and turquoise water was absolutely stunning. I didn’t attend most of the events because my granddaughter only wanted to do the beach and we loved the beach. Lots of loungers and shade if you wanted shade or full sun if you wanted full sun. Amazing resort

Amazing resort BUT !!!!!!!!!!!!! Terrible service you wait for simple cappuccino and glass of water for 15 minutes or more special for kids for glass of juice Terrible service!!!!!!Batroom only one open and no paper towels onside hotel or by the pool !!!!!!!

If you want to be treated like s@#t this is the hotel for you.

The only good thing about this hotel was my cleaning lady. Five stars for that women, she was kind, considerate and did and amazing job. Now for the hotel…..rudest front desk people I’ve ever dealt with in my life. Right from the second we got there the women behind the desk treated us like we were an irritant. I paid extra to have th [... read more]e prestige package only to find out that gets you NOTHING. The concierge I was supposed to have didn’t come in due to illness. (I completely understand being sick not mad about her health) when I inquired about her because the number they gave me to get a hold of her wasn’t being answered I was told she was out and nobody would be filling in for her???? The hotel itself was clean, run down and elevators not working but over all the hotel wasn’t bad. If they could fired everyone and start over maybe it would be a decent resort but DEFINITELY not worth the money

Will not go again

The Rooms where moldy . No evenings or night divertissement such as shows ect.. Staff were a bit rude at the bars, they were talking on the phone while serving beer . The elevators malfunctioning, I personally have gotten stuck on the 6th floor in the elevator for about half an hour.

Iberostar Bella Vista

We stayed at this resort 5 yrs. ago when it was new. It has gone downhill since then but was still good. Our room had a beautiful ocean view, the food at the snack bar was always good and the bartenders at the beach bar were fantastic. When guests leave and they change the bedding wash the bedskirt to or remove it all together it was so disgusting. The food in buffet wasn’t the best nor were some of the drinks but we did fine and had a good time overall.

Amazing Beach

Beach was beautiful, staff was fantastic. Rooms were average but clean and tidy Food was typical Cuba, a bit bland but plentiful. Lobby Bar staff was great and entertainment in the theatre was good

Mediocre resort

This hotel was nice and big but wasn’t very clean and there was mold everywhere. The rooms were damp and the bed and everything else was always damp. And the towels always smelt bad. The food was pretty decent considering it was Cuba. And the coffee was amazing. The staff was super friendly and very good at their job, always went above and beyond to help out. The lobby bar closes very early at 10pm. Wish it was open a little later. There is a 24hr snack bar though. Other than the show there is n [... read more]o night entertainment.

Nice resort

We have been in this resort already 4 times, it is a nice place with great people. But this time it looks kind of rundown. Elevator did not work, problems with toilet paper. But in general we still like it and enjoyed our vacation

Iberostar Belle Vista Varadero

This hotel is about 30 minutes from the airport. First impression walking into hotel lobby was wow! Beautiful view of ocean with a large upper deck. Friendly staff. Beautiful beach, Two large swimming pools, one with swim up bar. Great kids area with two pools. The grounds people keep the place looking great. Lots of lush, beautiful plants and trees. Snack bar, one main Buffett and three a-la-carte restaurants. Room was large, bed was pretty comfy, free safe in room. Bar fridge, but they donâ [... read more]€™t stock it. You do get bottled water in your room everyday. Room smelt a little musty but I brought air freshener and after having the air conditioning on the smell was gone after a day or so. After reading reviews and first time to Cuba, I always found something to eat and I didn’t miss ketchup or mustard, haha. Would I go back, maybe but I think I would book the prestige with a swim out room. You also have access to an 11th floor buffet and bar area, which I heard from other guest was very good. Overall this hotel is good value for your money

The service makes this resort so worth it!

Pros Star prestige swim out is a definite must - personal concierge, private dining area, late check out, discounts on spa services and room service. The beach is beautiful (although too rough the week we were there due to weather) The panoramic restaurant and floor has a breathtaking view and nice to just hang out, socialize, enjoy the view, etc. The resort is the perfect size so you’re not walking miles to get from one place to another. Check in was efficient considering only two people there that late at night, the wait wasn’t too bad. The food at Panoramic restaurant was buffet and a la crate for breakfast and lunch and fully a la crate at dinner with a different menu daily. The rooms are immaculately clean and very spacious. Our king size bed looked more like a bed for two kings - it was gigantic. The grounds are well kept and quite beautiful with lush trees and vibrant flowers. Always someone maintaining the property and ready to hand out flowers to all the ladies. One of my favourite things about this place was all the Spanish music everywhere you went. Felt like you were on vacation in the tropics vs having silence like most resorts do in certain areas. I The #1 pro of this resort is the service. Everywhere you went, you were greeted with a smile and greeting. Everyone at the ready to serve and remembering the small things, making you feel truly valued as a guest. Although we were Star Prestige, we did venture to the general buffet and a la cartes and the service was equally incredible regardless of where we went. Our concierge Diana was simply the best. Check in daily to make sure we had what we needed. She was super helpful when I needed medical care for a sciatic nerve outbreak and went the extra mile to get us a later checkout due to my lack of mobility. Super friendly and always ready with a smile. She really made our week all the better. No idea how she manages every star prestige guest with the same level of amazing service and a smile. Cons While commendable for Iberostar to go green, no paper access to menus or daily activities caused some hiccups although not deal breaking. We had some rain while we were there and floors had to be squeegeed but unfortunately done down the elevator shaft, making the elevator to the 11th floor inoperable. There was a shortage of pop (all over Cuba) as well as some of the beer kegs. This is not on Iberostar as the entire country is suffering shortages. The food was repetitive on all vegetables - the exact same vegetables cooked the exact same way, leaving zero variety to try something different day over day. The Italian a la carte was not Italian by any stretch. Tomato based pasta was made with barbecue sauce and not tomatoes. It was disgusting. While Cuba does suffer shortages of food, there is always something to eat. It would help if they knew some other recipes to bring more variety to guests. The lounge chairs need to be tightened as most had a gaping drop in the middle making them super uncomfortable. The huts on the beach are plenty but they’re super close together so be prepared to get to know your neighbours. Overall: The service at this place is the main reason people keep coming back. If you’ve been to Varadero and had terrible service, you may want to transfer to this great resort where they treat you like family.

Poor

No good service, they never have towels , in the bathroom the door could not be closed , …… the food very poor . This hotel is not recommender , .. the person who puts the chairs on the beach is very rude and has bad manners

Nice vacation

Very nice beach. Nice and helpful staff. Good hotel. Entertainment and theatre performances were good. Bars and service was good. Enough choices in the bars to choose and drink. Food was just ok. We had a good vacation there.

Great resort 5 stars

The hotel is great very clean.. nice views.. open concept spacious .. great staff and services ... variety of food and entertainment.. The only complains is lack of cooling system at reception/ lobby during hot and humid weather Elevators bit slow in some areas

Resort is beautiful, people are friendly happy smile kind polite
