An Amazing Resort

We were there from Feb 27th to March 4th and it was absolutely lovely! And we would go back in a heart beat!! We stayed at the adults only section of the resort and the service was fantastic. The staff were friendly and ready to serve you. What I really liked about this place that you didn't need to set up reservations at any of the dining places. Just walked up and we were seated. They had a variety of delicious food, any where from seafood, pasta, pizza and steak. Our favorite restauran [... read more]t was the Steak Rodeo Restaurant, where my husband was quiet impressed with his beef tenderloin. The resort itself was very clean and always kept up. There is a garden that I enjoyed in my morning walks. The beach itself, well what can I say better than walk in snow! To bad I couldn't take it back with me. This resort was perfect for us for it wasn't an overly large resort it was a perfect size. We very much like to meet with other guest(s) and get to know them during our stay which makes for a pleasant vacation. Yes, I would go back not for a seven day vacation but for a ten day vacation!! Thank you for making our vacation a pleasant one.

Wonderful vacation at a great resort

The hotel was fantastic. The ground were beautiful, unique and perfectly taken care of. The facilities were practically brand new. Food was great. Service was really hood especially the beach. Perfect!

Perfect Get Away from Everything

We just came back from 11 days at the Catalonia La Romana. It was a wonderful vacation. We needed to get away and have nothing to do and nowhere to go. The resort was perfect for us. We were given a room in the central courtyard area and asked to be moved somewhere off the beaten path. The next day we were reassign and paid a small amount for an upgrade. With this we also got two massages (one for each of us) and dinner on the beach (which we declined). The women at the spa were terrific. We eac [... read more]h had the 25 minute back-shoulder-neck massage and liked it so much that we returned a few days later for a second treatment. It took the tension and the knots in our shoulder areas out. Ahhhhh. Francesca has the magic touch. The resort is VERY clean. Staff are always sweeping, cleaning and picking up after guests. We loved it that, no matter who on staff passed by us, each person smiled and said hello. We felt welcomed and valued. Our room was perfectly air conditioned and always clean. You have to get to the beach between 7 and 7:30 to get the loungers in the the shade. Be ready for a walk (about 2 blocks long) from the resort to the beach either through the two resorts or along the side road. There is a cart that goes every 20 - 30 minutes back and forth. We will consider returning to the Catalonia in the future.
