Incredible resort

This place was amazing. The staff, the other guests, the food, accommodations, pools all excellent. One staff member in the buffet area, Janette was very helpful and outdid herself! Would highly recommend this place and look forward to our return! Bartender Danny was also incredible!

Beyond expectations

My mother and I spent a week in March in this little corner of paradise. We could not have been more happy with our choice. The resort is immaculate, set on beautifully kept grounds right on the ocean. The white sand beach is postcard perfect with crystal clear turquoise water. The staff were all above amazing. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and entertained. Every day was different with themes, special dinners, a fiesta with local artisans, a beach party, shows and more. It w [... read more]asn’t over-the-top though and it was easy to opt out and find a quiet spot to just chill. The food was plentiful, with lots of selection. The outdoor restaurants El Jardin and Sendero offered special experiences for lunches. The resort was only about half-full, but that did not deter the staff. The rooms were well appointed, very clean, and comfortable, although with a few signs of wear. There was a blackout in the community during our stay but the resort was not at all affected. We only found out because some of the staff mentioned it. We would love to return and would not hesitate to recommend this wonderful place to anyone looking for a relaxing, safe time in a beautiful setting with lovely people.

Our second home

My wife and I have made this our second home. We just returned from our 11th visit to this resort and we love it. The beach is amazing, as well as the staff. Already looking to book our next vacation! Sure, there are the odd supply chain issues, but if you know that going in you will not be disappointed. Cayo Coco has their own power supply that is not attached to the mainland. There were no power interruptions all week.

A great resort.

Nice hotel, well kept grounds, very good food, friendly staff, good size pool. 24 hour snack bar, very convenient. Good entertainment at night. Buffet had a good selection. A La Carte restaurants were very good.

Superbe complexe

Nous avons été absolument charmé par le personnel, la propreté du complexe . Rien au niveau nourriture n'a manqué. Nous prévoyons déjà y retourner l'année prochaine. Même la plage était très accueillante !

Amazing resort

This was our 5th time at this resort and again was an awesome time. From the workers, to the food it was great. There were no shortages and excellent service. They go beyond to make sure you have a great experience. Will be back again

Good but not the best food

The hotel itself was very beautiful and the rooms were nice and got cleaned everyday. Most of the workers were nice. Amazing pool and beaches. The food had no good taste to it. Overall the hotel was nice but not good food.

Great resort

Hotel clean, rooms look up to date. All three Pools are great. Food is ok very small buffet and not much variety at all. Entertainment is ok. Did not see any shows in the theater which they advertise per day on the wall. Beach is good but the public beach not far has white sand and is beautiful and water so clear you can see so clear to the bottom. Staff very friendly and helpful. Some don't speak much English. Bring your own sun block as it's hard to buy over there and they ones they have no [... read more]t in english and they one they do is and does not work good. Kiddie pool and park good. Lobby is beautiful. Overall had good time as I went to relax and enjoy the beach and Pools. Alcohol is ok they don't have much variety. Disappointed they don't have Piña Colada at all.

Great resort

We went during low season but we still made the best of it! All the a la carte were delicious. Snack bar was good! could have more a bit more. Buffet was ok we never starved. Employees were amazing and fun! The beach is amazing!

Great trip!

Rooms were really nice and updated. Resort and rooms were very clean. Staff were pleasant, especially Danny in the lobby bar. Awesome pools and lots of loungers. Beach was a bit of a walk from the main resort and had lots of seaweed along the beach. Went to playa Pilar beach twice which was a short taxi or bus ride away for $5.00 Cdn per person. One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve seen. Food was not great but that’s Cuba for you. The snack bar had good munchies like hamburgers, hot do [... read more]gs, sandwiches, and French fries. I would recommend this resort.

Better then expected.

First time in this area. Room and grounds - near excellent. Pools well maintained a very clean without chlorine smell. Beach very long and wide enough with sufficient amount of shade structures. Food - not all to my taste but plenty to choose from. Lamb and fish in the menu almost every day?. On the fruit side - all good. Veggies - could be better. Not many options for vegetarians - I am not one. Many vegetarian looking dishes seem to contain some sausage cut into tiny pieces which are are hard  [... read more]to spot. You want to swim in crystal clear water - take the bus to playa Pilar. You want good snorkeling experience - then this is not your place. Staff very nice and friendly, especially when you show respect as one always should. Two bad things I can't just skip. The door key cards work when they want and whe way they want. The ones given as replacement of the original ones performed even worse. Could be just our door!? The worst thing - the jejenes ( skinny sand flies) that won't let you be too relaxed. Study the matter before you decide on the trip especially if you are allergic to bug bites. My wife suffered quite a lot. Will we go back - No. The only reason - the jejenes. Absolutely recommend this resort if you don't have problems with the little suckers - the jejenes.

Awesome vacation

We returned home April 24 from this beautiful resort. There were 6 in our party. Thank you to management for the attention to my email for our rooms. We required a W/C room and two rooms on second floor close to the beach! The rooms were perfect! Food was good and lots of it. Remember you are in Cuba. We enjoyed the El Jardin at lunch time. The beach is beautiful as well as the pools. Lots of chairs. We so enjoyed the seafood hut just down the beach called Macomba! Delicious seafood and great prices. We visited the beautiful Pilar beach on the double decker bus. The bus picks you up at the front entrance. If you require a w/c resort this one is very good. Hope to return!

Nice resort.

This resort was quite beautiful. The staff works hard at keeping things clean as far as the lobby and public bathrooms go. The groundskeepers really work hard at keep the resort looking nice with beautiful flowers and greenery. The 3 pools were sparkling and clean and even tho busy, there were lots of loungers to choose a spot. The beach was absolutely beautiful and nice and long for walking on. Staff overall was very friendly. The coffee bar in the lobby was amazing! We were very grateful we packed extra toilet paper as they were very stingy with that! We slept in the same sheets all week and used the same bathroom towels. Not the end of the world but even one change might have been nice???? There is a “lobster shack” a couple of minutes down the beach that is a “ must try”! Overall is was a very nice resort and I wouldn’t hesitate to go back.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo

This resort was very welcoming the staff was absolutely wonderful friendly and appreciative of all the guest. The rooms are very spacious and clean housekeeping did a wonderful job. The beach was absolutely gorgeous lots of lounge chairs and tiki huts. The pool area well there’s 3 pools and another area removed from these for kids. The food was plentiful and somewhat repetitive but remember this is Cuba and they are a hurting country we lacked of nothing and were served with a smile every day. You won’t get fancy dinners and steak never had bacon and never missed any of these things. I would recommend this hotel as best value for your money shop around you’ll see.

Grand Muthu Cayo Guillermo

Beautiful hotel with ocean views from many parts of hotel. Clean rooms and hotel in general, one of the best places I been to in Cuba. Hard working pleasant staff. Food was good always found something delicious please appreciate this hard working young people and tip them. We are returning to this resort in near future.

Second stay. Beautiful!

Friendly, safe, and clean. The staff are amazing. Always lots to do and plenty to eat at the buffet as well as a snack bar. There are four other restaurants to choose from. The lobby is wide open with lots of seating to read a book or play a board game. Beautiful beach to play volleyball, watch the boats, or take a long walk to collect shells. Plenty of seating around the clean pools with a view of the ocean. Good bang for your buck

This resort was worth the money we paid for the vacation. The food was above Cuba standards. The rooms were clean. grounds kept neat and tidy. Liquor (rum and beer),pop and water were available all day every day. Nightly entertainment was good (2 shows in particular) The 24hr snack bar did run out of snacks throughout the day. There was no washroom near the beach. Bar service in the lobby was not as efficient as accustomed to but pool bar was great. Nice Resort

The resort was nice, well kept. Beaches and pools were beautiful. People super friendly and helpful. Downside for a family friendly hotel was dinner times were late. Only option for buffet or al la cartes was 6:30pm. Had 3 small children in our group so meal times at dinner was late. Should have had a 5:00pm option. Also basketball court on site, but no ball. Pool table on site but no cues.

Great vacation!

My husband and I were at this resort during the Ontario March Break. We had a great time. We were treated very well, the staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and well stocked. The beach was raked daily. The pool areas were well maintained. The shows were very good. The buffet and restaurants were clean. They did run out of a few things and that’s to be expected with Cuba’s situation. But that didn’t prevent us from having a very good time.

Amazing resort

The vacation was enjoyable, the hotel is beautiful, and the seaside is wonderful, but there is a major lack of services, such as the service at the bar, which is very slow, and the workers lack experience in dealing with customers and lack a smile. Also, the room services are not cleaned well, and also the problem of sanitation in the bathrooms is also weak, and at peak times the bathroom water is weak.
