Very nice resort

We were at the resort Sept. 30 - Oct 7, 2019. Service: Service we experienced was in general very good. Staff, from butler to restaurant staff was very attentive, and no complaint. Only place where we weren't impressed was on the beach. We were on the beach for almost an hour before somebody come to provide service. By that time we were tired of waiting as was packing up to go. I realize this is a problem for a lot of resorts. really enjoyed the pool entertainment. nothing loud and crassy, very good quality. Food: no complaints re food quality. good cuts of beef for steaks, even had a tomahawk. lobster for dinner in TRS restaurants, although sometimes it tends to be overcooked. some inconsistencies to how dishes are prepared. the same restaurant, same dish can taste quite different on different nights. best and worst lobster dinner both at El Goucho. Grounds: impeccably clean. Room: no complaints whatsoever. whatever was missed (face cloth for one day) was quickly brought to us when we called. same as mini fridge items. One serious suggestion: this is the only 5 star resort we went to that doesn't provide a single malt scotch. as I am a scotch drinker, that was a big disappointment. Conclusion: over all, we've enjoyed this resort. Biggest + for me is lobster dinner almost every night. biggest - for me is they do not have single malt scotch. Others, like consistencies in the dishes they serve in the same restaurant, would be good. improvement in the drink service on the beach would be nice. I would go back if I come across a good price.

Amazing Resort

We went there for our annual "girls" trip. Every year we decide on a different hotel and often in a different location. Hands down this had to be the best up to now. The property is beautiful, the rooms comfortable and well appointed, although they could use some more shelves or drawers to store one's clothes. We had a swim up room and used our pool area a lot, especially on the days when the weather was a trifle unselttled. Everything is very clean, and constantly being cleaned. The food at the [... read more] La Boheme was absolutely amazing, and the other restaurants were very good as well, (we went to Helios, El Gaucho, and Tapeo). The other restaurants were on the family side, so we decided to skip them this time. The Chic dinner and show will entertain and amaze you. We had excellent service for the staff at all venues. Say hi to Jose Luis at the pool, he'll bring you wonderful drinks all day, or you might see him in the Lobby bar or the Gravity Bar. All the staff rotate. We were in Building 01, bottom floor, swim up suites and our Butlers, Santiago and Josue were excellent and couldn't do more for us to make our stay pleasant. They made reservations, brought us anything we needed or wanted and assisted us with any issues that turned up. Can't thank them enough for all their help.

Fantastic resort, relaxing stay

We really enjoyed our honeymoon here, we were very well taken care of. The resort as a whole was stunning and the a-la-carte options were outstanding. We enjoyed every dinner we had. Room service food was ok but thats to be expected. The pools were awesome, we spent most of our times our semiprivate swim out room and the main pool versus the beach, though it was nice as well. We lucked out with the rainy season, it only rained 1 day on our trip, though mosquitos got quite bad on the overcast day [... read more]s. We really enjoyed the spa and we went 3 times in the week. Only negative thing was I got food poisoning at the resort and was sick for a day. One of the highlights was the chic cabaret show that was included in our stay... it was fabulous entertainment, so much fun and great food! Will recommend to anyone

TRS Mexico

Upon first appearance the place looked Great!. Modern touches, fresh, clean, neat and tidy. Check in was quick. Room "key" was in the wrist band, which was very handy. Rooms clean, fresh white sheets and bedding. Bathrooms modern and clean. Food, well that was another experience. The BBQ beside the pool was less than good. Uncooked food- burgers, chicken kabobs. Fresh food out in the open, not cooled at all! This may have been the source of making numerous people, including myself sick for 4 da [... read more]ys. And sick to the point of some going to the hospital for medical attention, some calling in a Dr. to receive antibiotics and many spent several days in bed. I myself have never been this sick in my whole life. That being said, the breakfast a la cart was good. Some of the restaurants at the 'attached' Paladium were satisfactory. The staff were friendly, and willing to help. The mini bar snacks were never replenished. The mini wine fridge was not cold, thus the wine was not cold or cool. It was hit or miss to get Ginger Ale. I will not return. I am just very thankful that I got better, maybe not 100%, but almost there.

Great for Honeymooners

This will be long so to summarize I will say it’s an amazing resort with fantastic service with good but not great food. We have stayed at many resorts across Mexico and also in Jamaica( best food ) and this was by far the nicest. We stayed in the loft suite and had an amazing view of the ocean and of Isla Mujeres. When we checked in we were offered a tour of the resort which is actually just a sales pitch for the travel club, which was kind of annoying, but after that we weren’t appr [... read more]oached. Our room was in the adults section which has its own pool and four adults only restaurants. The pool had a decent amount of live entertainment including synchronized swimmers and musicians. The restaurants were mostly satisfactory, the French being the best and the one on the beach being the worst. The Spanish tapas was very confusing but the service was extremely good. The Argentinian had good food but the entree platter we ordered had some meat that tasted like it was spoiled. The rest of the restaurants are on the GP side, which is not adults only. We expected the food to be as amazing as the resort itself, but it missed the mark. The beach was very nice and the water was crystal clear but be careful because the are some bitey fish in there. One bit my wife and drew blood and they like to swarm you. Wear sandals until you get past the vegetation or you will probably step on a bur, but we never experienced that after getting to the sunbeds. There’s a decent amount of sea weed but the resort cleans it up every morning. The waiters and on the beach were great and you could even access the wifi. The spa had free hydro-therapy which included hot and cold tubs, steam room and sauna, salt room, “snow” room, a large indoor pool with many types of bubble loungers and water cannon massagers. The spa has other services as well but we didn’t try them because they were expensive and we were turned off from being hassled by the spa staff for massages almost every day. You have access to the rest of the resort which could easily be walked to or you could take a golf cart shuttle or even take an electric boat through the channel. Our butlers were Hector and Francine and they were very helpful and friendly. They surprised us with rose petals and filled our jacuzzi for us a few times. If you are planning on doing excursions, prepare for a long day. The resort is North of Cancun and most excursions are south; this meant that we were always the first ones picked up and the last dropped off. (Travel time was about 2 hours each way). Overall TRS is a great resort and we would come back!

Luxury!

We loved the luxury, service, and beautiful pools and beach at this resort. The food was great except room service was unreliable. Excellent entertainment team. Staff is very well trained and you can tell they are looking to anticipate your needs and also to provide anything extra that they can.

TRS Coral, Absolute Luxury

This is most likely the best hotel we have stayed at, and we have been to a lot of resorts in Mexico. We were planning to book another hotel in the Mayan, but thank goodness our travel agent Marnie got in touch with me as she had just returned and asked us to consider the TRS Coral. It is the adults only section of Palladium hotel group in the Playa Mujeres area of Cancun. Amazing resort

TRS Coral was beyond expectation. Our room (Swim out Junior Suite) and the food were top notch. We would not hesitate to go back to this resort, but will likely not be able to afford it, as this resort will likely be popular in no time. It earns its 5 star rating.

AMAZING RESORT

AS WE FIRST DROVE UP MY FIRST IMPRESSION WAS WOW IT WAS SO BEAUTIFUL WE HAD A SWIM UP ROOM AND I CAN NOT STOP TALKING ABOUT IT. WHEN YOU FIRST WALK IN THE ROOM ALL THE LIGHTING IS SENSORED THAT WAY YOU USE ONLY THE LIGHTS YOU NEED. THE DECOR WAS AGAIN WOW THEY PUT A LOT OF THOUGHT INTO THE DESIGN. Very nice resort

The trs coral hotel is a very beautiful and modern resort, it’s grounds are very clean and well kept. The rooms are amazing and the swim out suite is a must. The beach is long and clean and very beautiful. The staff and service is phenomenal and so their best to keep you happy and entertained through our your whole trip. The food is also exceptional, everything I ate I enjoyed! I would totally recommend this hotel to anyone!

Do not book with Sunwing - Hotel is still having growing pains

When you arrive the grounds are absolutely breathtaking. They are so well maintained, spotless, and modern. I would give the aesthetic of this hotel a 11/10 if I could. There is plenty of restaurants to choose from, some better than others, but we discovered Caprecio is best for breakfast, Helios by the pool and beach is your best bet for lunch, and the Mexican, Japanese, and Steakhouse are the best for dinner. Unfortunately due to what we believe a new resort, their are some key operational aspects that need to be worked on significantly. We were told by our EButler that she had noted that we wanted an ocean view room and worded it as though we would get it when we arrived - we did not to our disappointment. we were also told something special would be done for us for our romantic trip - nothing. The two bottles of alcohol were no existent the whole trip. After a very rude front desk experience, we finally got from absolutely no oceanview rooms being available to one being available the next day. We had already lost a whole day due to Sunwing delays (AVOID SUNWING LIKE THE PLAGUE RIGHT NOW.. the are using Eastern planes which are death traps. Before becoming the charter service they are now, they received one of the largest safety fines in aviation history), so another day moving rooms, unpacking etc. was upsetting. We arrived to broken air con, damp sheets, mouldy smelling pillows, no water in the fridge, and moisture dripping from the bathroom ceiling in which I slipped on. A cockroach ran out from under the bathtub over my foot. Stunning room, but unacceptable for the amount people pay for the Loft Suite. If it weren't for our Butlers (Alicia and Andres), our trip would be ruined. Our trip only turned around after the 4th day because we were finally able to get our pillows replaces (not just the sheets changed), our air conditioning fixed after three nights of calling, and 24 hours to just get water in the room. We already dealt with the Hotel about this, but beware that they will want you to sign an agreement upon checkout if they offered you something to rectify the situation, so that you cannot seek any compensation elsewhere (luckily I read the fine print because I work in the industry). This really put a sour ending on our Trip. As I said before, Sunwing is terrible. Their customer service rep was not around for 5 days when they said they would be in the office. I called and called, no answer. I had to email sunwing cares to get a someone to finally call me early enough to wake us up on our last day and they said that we should deal with out situation when we get back to Canada. We were so put off by our experience with the safety issues of the aircrafts the were using, the lack of customer service, and the major delay, that we actually spent $1000 dollars (not including the $400 we lost for buying the earlier flights on the first day) to fly back with WestJet who are on time, safe, offer great customer service and very reputable. When we were pulling into the gate on our WJ flight, we saw an Eastern plane being pulled out of the gate we were going to with a mechanic truck behind it - the irony! I think the hotel is stunning, the line staff are so kind and hard-working, but the management needs a serious crash course in customer service and operations. I would probably recommend this resort in a year or so when it has time to work out these kinks, but I will never recommend Sunwing ever again. Pay that little bit extra and go with Westjet or Air Canada. It will save you down the line.

Relaxing Adult Resort

The TRS is a beautiful, well manicured resort. The grounds are very beautiful, always maintained and very clean. We found the service to be hit and miss, seemed most venues were very short staffed in comparison to other resorts we have been at. The staff themselves were really great and tried very hard to service everyone. We only had one negative experience with our server at the Chic Cabaret - he was rude, not personable and did not make our experience that night very good. Luckily this w [... read more]as our second time seeing the show and our first night's server was amazing. The adult pool was heated?? It was way too hot to cool off in after sitting poolside in +35 degree temperatures. The adult pool also had no fun daily activities happening at it. If you want a place to read a book and listen to elevator music...this is the place to go. Not a bad thing but just not what we had expected nor wanted. We ended up going over to the main pool at the Grand Palladium as it had some DJ music and activities each day, we opted to put up with kids to get away from the adult pool for a few days. Dolce our pool server was outstanding! Daily room servicing was very inconsistent. Some days we would get full restocking and others nothing. Some simple misses - housekeeping not giving towels or replenishing amenities. Air conditioner in room - issues in our room and my brothers room as well. Butler's in our building were always attentive to our needs and tried their best to meet our requests. Angel was awesome! Limited choices on the adult side for breakfast and lunch - only al a carte options available. One buffet choice which was at the Grand Palladium side (with a million kids). The grill at lunch at the adult pool was just mediocre - one can not eat burgers and nachos everyday. There needs to be something poolside other than the grill, which by the way stunk up the entire pool area starting around 10am each day. Most al a carts are located on the Palladium side (with kids). Night life on the TRS side - only 1 bar (gravity bar) which was on the top floor outside - super windy every night, it was hard to enjoy anything up there. Lobby bar is set back in a corner, I don't think many guests even knew it had anything going on at it. Which is a shame as it is a beautiful spot and could be a great nighttime area - if something fun and upbeat was happening. Yuri at the lobby bar was great! The beach area is beautiful! Not manicured great everyday but the water and sand were amazing. Service at the beach was very good. Paty and Isreal were amazing! The food was just ok overall at TRS and connecting Grand Palladium. A few al a carts were very good - Chang Thai (went to twice), El Gaucho steakhouse and Helios (on TRS side). Buffet was not great at the Palladium, our bfast experience there was less than stellar. We had 1 dinner there and it also was nothing I would want again. Room service ordering is through the app on the tv which was pretty cool. The food for room service was also inconsistent in the quality we received. It's not bad but we ordered the same thing a couple times and each time it was different? The spa was absolutely amazing - having access to the pools/salt room/ice room and infinity pool on the top floor was great! Best part of booking at TRS is the ability to use this facility for free - just wish it was on the TRS side and not the Palladium side. Honestly, I would give this a 7/10. If you are looking for a place to just simply relax by a very hot pool, listen to soft elevator music and not participate in a lot of daytime or nighttime activities then this resort is for you. Its a beautiful new resort but for us we wanted more activity than this had to offer. I would recommend this resort only to those that want a few days of relaxing - 2 weeks was way too long here.

Lap of Luxury!

TRS Coral is a new resort, having opened about 6 months ago. These folks have built a beautiful resort, top notch in every way. The manicured grounds, the infinity pools, the spa (especially the hydra-therapy treatment), the Cabaret (fantastic show - entertainment for three hours!), the staff (very friendly and helpful)....the experience was wonderful for all 6 of us (family). Great Resort - still some bugs to work out, but Beautiful

The staff are tremendously friendly. We made friends with many of them. Shout out to Aurelia & Yuri, they are the best! So friendly, willing to help and genuinely happy to see you. The service over all was very good. Restaurant food was 8 out of 10 and room service we good too. We had the loft suite near the ocean. It was beautiful. We found the music a little to mellow. The beach was nice, clean and lots of area to get shade if wanted. Same goes for the pool. Plenty of lounge chairs! The boat taxi was a nice touch. Overall this is a great resort. I imagine in time it will be right up there with the best of them!

TRS Coral

My wife and I were guests at the new TRS Coral in Cancun, Mexico starting March 25th,2019. We were on our Honeymoon and it was amazing! The room, service and our Butler's Angel and Chris were the best.

I had a fantastic relaxing vacation at this resort! I cannot say enough about the service from Israel at the pool. Wow, he was amazingly on it....from the best drinks I ever had at a resort, exactly when we were just ready for them, to bringing fresh fruit and the best guac, salsa and chips! The beach was gorgeous and this resort had soft fine sand, the least seaweed, and the water was a tropical tourquise. The best I've seen in Mexico. They even have a little dolphin area at the end of this strip of beach that we stumbled on the last day. The restaurants were very nice... We loved Helios... Awesome service, and food. I'm not a seafood lover but the grilled bass was amazing and I loved the fillet mignon. The French restaurant French onion soup was awesome and my friend loved their surf and turf. The steak was a different cut than I was used to and the lamb had a unique flavor that I didn't love, as I really like rosemary thyme flavored lamb and mint sauce. Totally loved the French restaurant's vibe though with the French music, long curtains and French provincial dishes. The rooms are amazing. I especially loved the loft suite with the bar, and modern decor. The beds were comfortable and it was really nice to have options of pillow loft. The outside balcony overlooked the pool and was really nice to eat breakfast on as you could hear the tranquil music in the morning. The single rooms are very nice...still modern and beautiful, but just not as outstanding as the loft. The balcony chairs need pillows to be comfortable. The opposite side in building 1, not overlooking the pool was really quiet and I could see the ocean. It was so nice to wake up to! All the people we met on the resort were super nice. The spa was awesome. I loved the variety of the rooms and the salt and snow rooms were cool unique touches! I heard positive things about their massages, as well! We wanted a relaxing vacation and this was it. We're all going to go back. I think in a few more months they'll have all the food down even more as well! I actually really liked that this resort had it's own osmosis water filtration system, so the water was safe to use. You also, have to see the Chic show when you go. It's awesome. Amazing singers and dancers! There wasn't a ton of night life, but they did have a beach party, nightly live music and dancing in the courtyard. There's also a little shopping mall area and a great bar where you can play pool and foosball. They had little boats and carts to help make travel easy around the resort as well. We had a wonderful vacation!

Gorgeous Resort - Service Not So Great

The resort itself was absolutely stunning. We stayed in a loft which was really lovely. We had a partial view of the ocean and a lovely view of the TRS section of the resort which is the main pool and buildings. The service however was pretty awful. Our butler Cesar was awful. He didn't bring us a bottle of champagne when we requested it on our first day or book our reservations for the a la carte restaurants. He ead the worst. Loved it!

From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the whole team was ready to impress. The room was impressive and the attention to detail was staggering. The restaurants were full of great food. Pro tip: order the Piacere coffee cocktail at the coffee house. Couldn’t get enough of it! The guests were super friendly, too. I’d go back tomorrow if I could.

Amazing

This hotel is just everything I was looking for! Beautiful, calm but not too calm, Great service, amazing rooms, restaurant with servers who will go out of their way to get you what you need/want . The beach is perfect white sand , no rocks,no seaweed with real good Service! The spa... just perfect !

Beautiful Resort

Beautiful resort, very modern with all amenities in rooms that you need and then some. The staff were extremely friendly and tried to be helpful where they could. Butlers are not true butlers, they are concierge like roles that have multiple rooms to assist. The beach is beautiful with soft white sand. Chairs were available in the TRS section,but not enough umbrellas on those days with no clouds. Bar service on the beach was good for the most part. They need to put in washrooms on the be [... read more]ach somewhere. Its not that far to pool washrooms, but you have to leave the beach. One staff member said that was in the plans down the road. Rooms: Wonderful. Only complaint would be that the bar fridge took all day to be stocked and some days we had to call room service to bring water as we were running out, but not that big a deal. Balconies in the south facing junior suites are huge, but not comfortable furniture for lounging. Would recommend that 2 loungers be provided. There is plenty of room. Most rooms have some sort of oceanview. We had a room on the side facing the Secrets resort in building 1. Great views and sun most of the day. Sunrises were beautiful. Food: Food was good, but a la carte restaurants were very slow on the TRS side for breakfast. Would love to see a breakfast and lunch buffet on the TRS side. If you wanted quick buffet instead of average 1 hour in an a la carte for breakfast and lunch you had to go to the family side buffet. A bit of a walk, but not too bad. A la carte reservations were frustrating. Never available at the time you wanted or day you wanted, then if you went and took a chance on a walk in, it was no problem to get in and half of the tables were empty in some restaurants. Recommend that they just do first come first serve and staff up to serve the full restaurant. Was told that tables were empty due to staff levels, not capacity for seating? Helios was open for lunch every day, but some days not enough staff. Turn that restaurant into a breakfast and lunch buffet - problem solved. CHIC entertainment was well worth the confusion around getting tickets from our butler. They automatically schedule you for the night before you leave, but when you have an early flight its not ideal. We managed to get tickets for another night, but not without a lot of run around. Finally went to the front desk and they resolved and got us tickets for an alternate night within 15 minutes. Pool bar entertainment was really good in the afternoons. Singers, violin player, jazz ensemble. Overall a great experience and we would return to this resort next year or a couple of years from now to see if some of these things have been ironed out.
