Nice resort for a one week stay

A nice resort for a one week stay. The dining experience was great with a lot of variety to satisfy even the pickiest eaters. The resort boasts beautiful gardens and the resort is extremely clean. The rooms resemble IKEA inspired furnishings. Bed comfort was okay, yet bed linens and towels were rough. Beach was magnificent. Awesome Resort!

Extremely clean Resort with very friendly staff. Excellent menus in every Restaurant. Great variety every day at the Buffet. I would suggest more garbage containers on the grounds. Other than that, it is an Excellent Resort!

Nice but not a 5 star

Riu's are predictable for a comfortable vacation. Should not have palace statis. Staff and food is always good. Has a great beach where you can walk for miles. Once a 5 star I believe it is in need of some upgrading. Costa Mujeres feels cold with its pure white artless hallways, almost hospital like. Clean, but basic rooms. But all in all its always a good time at a Riu

Amazing Resort

Family trip to Mexico was an amazing experience , we stayed for one week at Riu Palace Costa Mujeres,everything about the resort was perfect .So well organized the staff is very friendly . The front of house, cleaning, landscaping, food/bar service staff, and party teams were all fantastic . I would strongly recomend this resort ,the beach was nice there was no seaweed as usually people complain about . Great time @Riu!

Stunning & Friendly Resort! Even with the hurricane

Amazing! We stayed at the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres. We were a family of four with two teenage boys. I can't say enough about this beautiful paradise and its friendly staff. The layout of this hotel is stunning. Warm beaches, clean ocean, on the shore the sand looks like smooth paste and feels like sponge. There is a 24 hr buffet in the lobby lounge, 3 restaurants for dinner to choose from and a large buffet area - all delicious! and a beautiful stunning lounge. The hotel/beach/pools was a b [... read more]it overcrowded there were alot of people and many kids but plenty of food, chairs and beach chairs to go around. They also serve you drinks along the beaches and pools. We loved Pepes Food along the pool side it was our/my boys favourite since you get hungry fast. The hotels are very clean, free mini bar, service for hotel towels were always delivered promptly, Although, bring your own facial soap . All the workers serve you with friendly smiles. My husband and I were happy we had our own rooms and our boys were right in the next room, just close the door, turn and knock, everyone got their privacy. We arrived on June 27 and were supposed to depart on July 4, but we couldn't because of the approaching hurricane. Despite this, we were informed in the early afternoon that our flight was delayed and we were allowed to stay that day/night. The resort staff treated us wonderfully, allowing us to stay an extra day and a half. They continued to allow us access to all the restaurants, lounges, bars, desserts, coffee, internet, pools and beaches before the hurricane hit in the late evening to early morning July 4 & 5. The staff took every precaution to ensure our safety. They notified us about moving furniture in our rooms to block the sliding doors, informed us of the restaurant hours, and stationed security with sandbags in the hallways to prevent water from seeping into the rooms(we were on the first floor, no water came). They also worked incredibly hard to clear and remove all the pool and beach chairs, which was no small task given how many there were. We appreciated everything they did, we felt very safe and comfortable and we will definitely be going back in the future! Please do not forget to tip them, they work hard! We loved the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres. Thanks again!

Absolutely Beautiful Resort

This is our second visit to this resort and once again it did not disappoint. The cleanliness is on point and then some . The rooms are beautiful with everything you could need . The ala carte restaurants are very good, all of them ,and the buffet always have many many delicious options. The beach is very nice but was quite windy this time so water was very rough. My only negative would be it is quite far from any and all activities so do anything at all is a full day affair. Which wasn’t awful I’m just saying. Excellent resort

The site is kept very good, food excellent we try buffet and all the à la carte, yes we had to wait at 2 à la carte but not a big deal we are in vacation so we had a drink ( we had a buzzer very handy). The staff very professional and very nice. House keeping excellent. We will go again and recommend

Decent Resort

Grounds clean Specialty Restaurants difficult to book and food is mediocre. Buffet - lots of options but nothing special. Rooms - Great - keep an eye on your personal items everyday Entertainment - daily - okay, Night - usual AI parties, I enjoyed the silent party Beach - some seaweed, Windy most of the time, Water rough most of the time.

Awesome tesort

The resort itself was lovely. It was very clean and the people there were very helpful and friendly. I had very high expectations as this was my first time being in a place like this, and it was met.

Very Nice resort.

Unbelivable clean inside and out. Rooms were very spacious and bright. Staff were very friendly and helpful. I loved the landscaping too. Entertainment was pretty good. Enjoyed the silent music wearing headphones.

Love the Riu Palace Costa Mujeres

We absolutely loved this hotel, our 1st time at a Riu & we will ? return! The staff was extremely helpful & friendly, the hotel was very clean & inside and out. The food in the buffet was plentiful & the choices at the A la carte were great. Having 5 pools to choose from was a bonus.

Good Resort

Wonderful resort and amazing experience

Riu Palace Costa Mujeres is a great resort. Super clean, food is great, service is very professional, the entertainment activities are constant and the staff is excellent, beach and pools are amazing. I had a great experience at this resort and definitely will come back

Amazing resort !

The resort is very clean, the people are very nice. The food is nice, no complaint. The activities on site are very nice too. It’s a very nice place if you want to disconnect. There is one big buffet and 5 other restaurants that are very nice except the n italian one

The worst resort ever

First day the flight was day delayed x 12 hrs 2- thé room was not cleaned x 2 days out of 6 we had to call them after 8 pm to get towel and clean the room 3- some of waiters in the resort were very rude and snapping when u ask for table 4 -it rained 2-3 days never moved the water and my wife slipped and fell down injured her R hand and wrist

Was alright, was not my favorite vacation spot

friendly staff, hotel entertainment is not great. There is a good amount of restaurants and pools however pools are all very small and very close together so the hotel feels small. family oriented so don't expect a party.

RIU-PCM

It is a RIU 5 star establishment... but it is nowhere. It took 1-1/2 hour to get there and the same back to the airport. Everything is perfect all the services, food, beach etc. But next time I'll go to RIU Palace Maya Riviera. It is also 5 star. That is only 15 minutes walk to Playa del Carmen. Because of this I would not recommend this RIU...

New & spacious

Our stay was fantastic. I don’t know if it was the time of year (shoulder season) or what but we never had to wake up at the crack of dawn to reserve beach or pool chairs. This is the most annoying part of all inclusive resorts IMO, and this resort had plenty of lounge chairs at the five pools and all along the beach. The entire h [... read more]otel was modern & new, food was fantastic. The grounds keepers & cleaners were constantly working to keep the place top notch every day. Staff everywhere were very friendly. Highly recommend this for family vacation. The only complaint we had was the rooms with two beds were not queens but rather double beds. A little tight for a family of four but we made due. They do offer a cot style bed but we didn’t bother with it.

Wonderful Resort

Great resort with wonderful amenities. Amazing international buffet. Spacious rooms, nice staff Walking distance to the most gorgeous beach. Great entertainment. The most clean resort we have ever been to. Many swimming pools to enjoy.
