Great resort - Definitely a 5 star

The grounds are very clean. Staff constantly cleaning and sweeping. Staff is super friendly. The food was excellent and lots of choice. We never encountered any waiting lines. The pools were great especially the infinity pool very relaxing. Plenty of chairs available. Only downfall would be for anyone wanting to swim in the ocean. The beach is well maintained but the water is very rough . Resort is close to the town and Marina. Great views of the Marina and cruise ships.

Amazing Resort

This resort was beautiful. The rooms were very nice and clean - had every amenity you would want, including your own Bar!! Spectacular view from our room. Restaurants were nice, just wish we were able to access the other restaurants (besides buffets). Overall would recommend, had a wonderful stay! The RIU parties were a huge bonus!!

Excellent Resort in Cabo

The resort was beautiful and had every service and ammenties avaialable as expected. We booked a standard room which was beyond expectations with the size including full bath and balcony. Service was excellent and rooms and hotel cleaned daily. Food was five star with many vegetarian options.Overall location wa stunning with views of the Arches and close to Medano beach.

Wonderful Times in Los Cabos Riu Palace Baja California!!!

We love Cabo....and the new Adults only Riu Palace did not disappoint. We stayed at the first Riu Palace there in 2017...so we loved visiting for a whole day there to enjoy the same wonderful food. The Riu Palace line is a wonderful getaway....I highly recommend to anyone! The grounds, the food, the pools, the wonderful Mexican Staff....the entertainment....all perfect. We are so rested and refreshed from our vacation. Of course, all sanitary precautions of covid were followed.

4 star resort, 2 star food

The hotel was nice but nothing spectacular. The room was large and well appointed, the pool areas were also nice but pretty basic. Nice that there were 2 full size pools and 2 swim up bar pools as it's a fairly large hotel. We managed to find loungers each day but if the hotel was full I bet it would be a lot harder after mid morning. The staff were good in general with only a few that seemed to just be going through the motions. The buffet was random for sure and it was rare to get anything fresh that hadn't been sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The specialty restaurants were first come first served which is fine if they have enough seating but even with the hotel at maybe half capacity there was an hour wait for most if you got there any time after 7pm. The Japanese restaurant and the Steak house were the only 2 we visited. The gyoza was mushy, the sushi was unidentifiable and the Yakisoba was dry and tasteless. Huge letdown for someone from Vancouver where there are more good sushi restaurants than starbucks. The steak house was also underwhelming, Both of our steaks were served under and had to be sent back. At least they weren't over and needed to be thrown out. Under seasoned and lack of creativity with sides. All in all I would not recommend or repeat as we could have had an equal or better experience for half the price in a less expensive resort town than Cabo. Cabo is pretty and I would go there again if I found a less expensive vacation rental but we'll be heading further south again next time for more bang for our buck.

Fun time but not 5*s

The Riu Palace Baja California is a good resort but should not be rated 5 stars. We had a great vacation due to meeting great people and the proximity to the marina. Pros - all staff were very professional about the Covid guidelines and the process for the PCR test was easy just expensive, it was nice to visit all 3 sister resorts, proximity to marina, rooms r nice and new, breakfast buffet is good. Awesome

This was our second time in a row to this resort. Love everything it has to offer. You can head to the Santa Fe for the amazing and entertaining afternoon an evening pool parties. Room service got a lot quicker this time around. The food is absolutely amazing. Buffet’s, snacks and restaurants. Will for sure contemplate a third stay.

Worth it, would stay again. Buffet food is aight, specialty restaurants less so. Older crowd, but they definitely like to drink. Nightly entertainment is aight too, but goes on for too long and is too loud. You can hear it blasting at night.

Resort offered great dining but activities were limited.

We enjoyed our stay despite the unseasonably cool temperatures. We were initially disappointed with our room allocation given my fiancé is a gold club member. After 3 days we were upgraded to a larger room with an ocean view. Unfortunately, two days into our holiday the resort was without water for 12 hours. Not sure how often this happens? We were not aware that there is no swimming on the beach so our stay felt a bit restricted regarding walking and enjoying the beach.

Impressive Resort

Excellent facilities and design with beautiful rooms, 5pools, 2 swim up pool bars and 3 others, 4 A La Carte restaurants plus outstanding Buffet restaurant. Food overall is excellent. Unfortunately, I had $400 cash stolen from my room by housekeeping staff and even though the security investigation pointed clearly to 1 housekeeper, the hotel management did nothing to recover the money or compensate me for the loss. Excellent free shuttle service to and from the airport.

Average

Food was really bad. Same good everyday for seven days. This is not a RIU standard. Drinks were a three start dating Facility is great . Clean. Staff was doing their best. Management was not around to see. Not that what we were used to with a RIU.

Amazing Resort

Loved the Riu Palace Baja California! We came as a family of 6 on a long awaited trip. When we arrived we were immediately checked in. Rooms were spotless, very nice and modern. The resort was beautiful, the grounds were manicured and lots of flowers. The food was great, no complaints. The staff were all very nice and friendly. Riu's Best

The Adult's only did not disappoint! The whole place was kept immaculate from the grounds to the rooms and washrooms and all food areas. Front desk service was the best I've ever experienced (in over 30 years of travelling to the south) The food in the buffet was better than most, and did not even tire od it in 2weeks.Even the house wine was better than most other all inclusives. Especially the Linaji Sauvignon Blanc, and some good Cabernet Sauvignon as well. A better steak could be had at the [... read more] Japanese Ala Carte than the Steakhouse. (no need to book in advance was the best) Pools were great with plenty of loungers. Only used the Spa for steam room as massages were pricey as usual. (good quality massages available in town for $17-30us dollars with professional service) the beach is clean, a bit hard for walking and not ideal for swimming, but the pools were excellent.

Amazing Resort would definitely return

Everyone was friendly the resort was kept clean at all times. It was more than I was hoping for beautiful scenery and gorgeous resort. We were very well taken care of and felt comfortable at all times.

An amazing resort

I would give this resort a 5. Pools were all great and huge and clean there were 4. Dining all good and the buffet was tasty and plenty to choose from. The rooms were nice and big and cleaned daily. The view from this resort was very beautiful to look out to the ocean and see the ships from a distance and the sun sets as well. Couldn't walk the ocean beach a little hard to do but manageable.

One of Our Best Trips

Everything went smoothly and both Tripcentral and Sunwing service was great. The hotel was less than a year old and the facility was modern, clean, beautiful in every respect. Very simple design which appealed to us. The pool area is spectacular with great ocean views. Sunsets are beautiful. Beach is walkable and wide but beware of undertow if you go in the water. September weather was very hot and sunny every day. Bar service was excellent and by the pool service was outstanding. Great drinks. [... read more] The Capuchino bar mad excellent coffees. We used the buffet and enjoyed every meal. Good variety and always found plenty to enjoy. Terrific service there. Show area in the evening was comfortable and no bugs! Room was very nice with a great shower. We liked how quiet and low key the place was. If you wanted party action the Santa Fe is a 5 min walk.

A five star experience!!

This resort exceeded our expectations! My daughters and I were very impressed by the facilities, the food, and the exceptional customer service. The whole experience was fantastic! We would definitely consider going back. The facilities are beautiful and impeccable, the location is great, close to the airport and right next door to the other two Riu properties and their amenities. In particular, the staff of the hotel made it an unforgettable experience as they went above and beyond the [... read more]ir duty to make us feel comfortable and to provide an amazing service. From the staff at the beach and pool, setting up our chairs, umbrellas, the towel personnel, the bartenders, chefs walking around to make sure the food was to our liking, etc. in sum we would 100% recommend this resort. The only hesitation would be the beach; however, we were warned ahead of time that we could not swim in the ocean, therefore, we needed a hotel with a "good pool" and this was for sure the right choice fo that!

Overrated

The resort is new and the rooms are very modern which is why I wanted to stay here. The pools were pretty nice as well with many lounge chairs and no shortage of umbrellas. However the service was pretty bad from the moment I got there, no welcome, no champagne and then put in a room where all I could hear were the outside a/c vents which are super loud. We got moved to another room which was across from Riu Santa Fe so it was loud all night as well from the pool party. The food was terrible as  [... read more]well as the drinks. We ate at the resort buffet once and a restaurant before getting ill. We left the resort every day to eat at the marina or at medano beach. There was also a bad smell kind of like sewage every so often in our room, room service was terrible and house keeping was as well! I paid over $1600 pp. no more Rius for me! I recommend anywhere on Medano beach- preferably non all inclusive although sandos is lovely!

We just spent 7 days at the Riu Baja Adults only Resort in Cabos and loved it, I can’t say enough about the friendly and consistently great service at the restaurants and pool. The food was very decent, especially in the speciality restaurants. The rooms were awesome, Nicely designed and. spacious. The Pools had tons of seating both sunny and shady. The Activity team were lots of fun and if you weren’t into their activity there was another pool nearby that was quieter. The views were s [... read more]pectacular. The only regret was the fact that the ocean swimming in front of the hotel was too risky, However we knew that when we booked. Hard to look at that beautiful ocean though and not go in!!! The only thing this hotel could use was an bar with air con, All the bars were outside either at the pool or on the terrace. I would recommend this hotel.

Amazing Resort, Love Cabo !

Definetly would go back to this same resort. Never been to Cabo, and I wished I had not waited this long to go. The resort opened in Dec 2018, I usually give it a year. But not this time, we went June 27-July 4th, 2019. Absolutely nothing to complain about. We don’t like to lie on the beach, we walked it. High undertoe so no swimming in it.
