Awesome time and resort!

My husband and I celebrated our honeymoon and anniversary over the past week. It was our first time at Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres as well as our first time in Costa Mujeres. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to the Club package (adults only) complimentary because we were on our honeymoon, which we so appreciate and definitely made our experience so much better thank you, Adilene! Our butler Gloria was fabulous and ensured we had everything we needed for our stay as well as set up a lovely celebration in our room for our honeymoon. As part of the club package, you are able to have a la carte breakfast and lunch at their Italian restaurant il bottaccio, and both Martin and Luis (servers) provided excellent service every time. They definitely made our meals so much more enjoyable and were always so polite and courteous. I loved that the majority of the restaurants did not require reservations and that our butler Gloria was able to help us out with resos for the Japanese (shout out to Carlos the chef) and French restaurants. For our anniversary dinner, our server Carlos at Bistro brought out champagne and a special anniversary dessert. We appreciated his efforts to go above and beyond. We enjoyed the lobby bar, especially with Diego, the bar tender, who always made it a point to make you feel welcome and entertained. He and the staff also made the most amazing drinks and had top shelf liquor available. Grey goose and Hennessey lol! Above all we enjoyed our stay it was super relaxing and we also enjoyed our meals. We would 1000% return just based on the service and the ambiance. I highly recommend Majestic Elegance and hope to return again! Thank you to all the wonderful staff who made our trip so memorable.

Great Staff and awesome facilities

- rooms were greats - great buffet selections - all a la carte were amazing except the Japanese restaurant - room service food quality needed improvement - great for kids 4+, however they do not have plastic cutlery for children - kids clubs was amazing

Nice hotel

We thought the hotel was nice. The rooms were nice. The beach is amazing the hotel staff were fantastic. The food not so great except the Japanese restaurant was awesome. The room cleanliness could be improved on.

Amazing resort and service

Very well kept and lots of activities for kids. Lots of food options for all ages. Pools were good, but could be warmer. Nice beach. Options for parasailing and other water activities. Check in process could be better, as we arrived 2 hrs early but room was ready 40 min later

I do not recommend this resort

Positives: food was good; nice beach; new building; good drinks Negatives: bad service; tip is expected by everybody; we did not get the room we paid for for the first 3 days; worse entertainment I’ve ever seen at a resort; AC in our room could not be set to a specific temperature- it was super cold

Love this resort

Everything about this resort was excellent, food, staff, beach, entertainment. Love the majestic chain! Staff go out of their way to make you happy. Resort is very well laid out, everything is in walking distance. Will be back for a third time next year!

Fantastic Resort

Very impressed with how clean and well taken care of this resort was. Fantastic restaurants and lovely beach and pool areas. We had a wonderful time and will definitely choose Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres next time we are in cancun!

Very Relaxing Vacation

The Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres was a beautiful resort. The grounds were very nice, atmosphere very laid back, food was awesome, and service was top notch. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 day trip here and would come back for sure. There was one mix-up at the check-in as we were going to be put in a room that we thought was a different category but they actually ended moving us to an oceanfront room instead so no issues there, they made everything right. We had butler service and Felipe was amazing he was very attentive and ensured we had the best possible time while in Mexico.

Heaven on Earth!

Was looking for a perfect weekend getaway and found it! 2nd time at Majestic and it just keeps getting better and better! The staff is amazing. Entire resort is so clean. Food like nothing else with lots of variety! Definitely my go to place in Mexico and can not wait to go back! Always a great time at majestic whether it’s for 3 days or 7! Thank you to all that made this happen!

One of the best by far!

Not to give every detail away so I’ll try to give the gist of our experience…. I’ve been to many resorts before but this one was by far THE best! Very clean and the service was TOP TIER! We stayed in the adult only section and we had our own butler (Henry was AHHHHmaazing!) the room was massive and we had our own outdoor jacuzzi which added a great additional touch to the room. The beach was never crowded and there we [... read more]re plenty of chairs available (unlike other resorts I’ve been to) no need to wake up extra early to reserve your spot on the beach. A few seaweed along the shore (blame Mother Nature) but nothing that was overly excessive, they ensured to clear it out regularly with their tractor trailer; we spent everyday at the beach so that speaks volumes. The pools were cleaned daily and well kept. Lastly, the food….THE FOOD!!!! The steakhouse particularly was one of the best steaks I’ve had (Medium well done) it was *Chefs kiss*… they had food available at all hours via room service. There was a wide variety of food so you will not be disappointed. I’m a foodie, and I was more than satisfied :) the entertainment crew was great! They respected your space and didnt force you to join their activities/games etc; so if you wanted to have your space to relax, you were able to do so… the music and all the extra loudness was not at all overpowering or distracting. overall, if you’re looking for a resort to relax and just be at peace - this is the one! Lastly, you HAVE TO TRY THE SPA! and I’ll leave it there…you just have to experience it to understand what I mean. Three words: Refreshed, Rejuvenated, & well needed!

It is a very nice resort

We loved the hotel, very well laid out. Unfortunately I fell when I tripped on a curb and fractured my hip. I’m still in the hospital in Cancun recovering . I’m hoping to be able to return to Canada very soon. The paramedics at the hotel were very helpful

Amazing resort

The resort was amazing the food was all very good the service was on the dot the beach is beautiful the rooms are beautiful there well air condition nice fans in the rooms the swim up rooms are very nice all the workers and Butler‘s go over and beyond to make you happy. Will definitely return to this resort!

Can’t say enough good things about this hotel! The grounds were spotless, no garbage anywhere, empty dishes were picked up immediately. Someone was always cleaning tables floors and bathroom. They went to great lengths to keep the property clean. They enforced mask rules during buffet dinners, food handlers always wore gloves. Rooms were spacious and very clean. We stayed in the adults only club side ( elegance package) comes with a personal butler. This was well worth the upgrade as Alexa our butler was absolutely amazing. She took care of everything and I mean everything. large number of bars and restaurants, food and drinks were amazing in every restaurant. I recommend the steak house and Italian. Never had a problem getting a pool chair as staff brings them to you and monitor towels without anyone there, I loved this feature! Pools were great and lots of them and very clean. The day and night entertainment were amazing. Always something going on but you only had to participate if you wanted. If you are looking for fun in the sun or a relaxing vacation away, they offer both. But what makes this resort the best I’ve been to ( I have been to 7) is definitely the staff. The resort is 5 stars the staff are 10 stars. From our personal butler ( Alexa), bartenders ( Rogelio, Abby, Isai and Limbeth), entertainment star (Andrea) to night time server (Ever), yes I remember all their names, they are that good! I would highly recommend this resort, you will not be disappointed.

Amazing resort

We went to the Majestic Costa Mujeres for 2 weeks returning Feb 14. The resort was beautiful , people amazing , beach big and clean , food really good . Masks were mandatory to enter restaurants and when up to use the buffets . Every staff member inside and out were masked at all times . About 50% of vacationers wore them in the lobby . They encourage social distancing but vacationers did not always comply . We felt very safe and didn’t worry at all about getting covid . Amazing resort!

Friendliest resort we’ve been to. Easy to get around. There were always chairs and day beds available by the pool, and we never had to wait to be seated at any of the restaurants. The view from building 1 is a little rough(undeveloped), but we could see the ocean, which more than made up for that.

Great resort

The hotel was wonderful. We had an amazing stay at Majestic. The staff were very accommodating friendly and always greeting us with a smile no matter the day and time. There was a great variety of food, endless drinks and entertainment. The only downside would be the state of the bathroom in the suite. While the sink and tub areas were spotless, We were disappointed to see that the toilet and shower area were quite nasty. No matter how many times we had them cleaned, it just looked old crusty an [... read more]d dirty, not worthy of a 5 star hotel. I hope they get to revamp them soon.

Fabulous Resort

The hotel was beautiful. The staff friendly and efficient. Food was outstanding. Especially liked the fact that you didn’t need to book for most restaurants. COVID protocols were straightforward and well adhered to, keeping us safe without too much inconvenience. Beach was incredible. Pools were a little bit lacking, although the one by the Sky Lounge was decent enough.

Lovely resort

Great resort, lots of activities, food was fabulous, staff amazing - it also has a stunning beach with white sand and lots of tables and loungers, umbrellas. Only complaint is that if you are not staying on club side there are limited choices for pools (only two, very small). The one with the swim up bar faces a concrete wall, no view at all.

Fantastic Resort

Resort is very nice and clean. Great public area and lots of places to relax and enjoy the day. Food was very good as well as drinks. Spacious rooms and overall, a great resort. Staff are so friendly and polite.

Great relaxing stay!

You won’t need to read another review after this, trust me. Full honesty from a pretty picky person… Just returned from a quick 4 day solo trip here. Overall great. Had an oceanfront suite w jacuzzi on terrace. Rooms are very big, decent shower and the bed, pillows and linens are awesome. I had the best sleeps every night. Cleaning staff- 10/10. The resort is extremely well maintained. I did not hang out around the pools as I’m a beach person BUT I have to say the other reviews are accurate- Brandon Kardashian is freaking hilarious and extremely energetic. If you are a pool person, you’ve been warned, you WILL be entertained. Walking around the resort- for those bringing children: the family section is actually just as awesome as the adults only section. Full of activity but not over the top. The swim up suites look gorgeous as well if you don’t want to spend the extra on an ocean view room. Honestly they’re just as great. Covid protocols- I was actually surprised at how many tourists were adhering to masking recommendations and there are hand sanitizer things everywhere. Very safe for travel. Food- hands DOWN the best breakfast buffet I’ve had at any resort (they serve you you don’t serve yourself due to pandemic of course) and it’s great this way. Lunch buffet at Mar House has just about anything you’d want and it’s good. Nothing spectacular but more than average for sure. There was a blue cheese risotto one day at lunch buffet and it was ON POINT. Better than the Italian resto. Mar House dinner- great. Good seafood and big grilled Caribbean lobsters. Snack room (club members)- great variety of quick sandwiches/bagels/snacks/cakes etc (lemon pies are awesome) and I took something from it daily. Prosciutto Brie arugula sandwiches here are awesome, take 2. Keep in mind should it happen to rain- get to the club room quickly as it’ll be emptied quickly. Italian resto- it’s just ok. Nothing spectacular pretty average esp if you happen to be of Italian descent. Try something else. Steakhouse- awesome decor and atmosphere. The French onion soup is GREAT. Ordered the strip loin…when it came it was this pretty thin dry steak. I was kind of put off. My server took it away and returned with a THICK steak cooked to perfection. And it was delicious. My only question is why that wasn’t brought out the first time. Go eat here it really is good. Service awesome as everywhere else. Great selection of top shelf booze (grey goose, remy etc etc) and more than decent choices of tequilas at most bars. Beach- ok, here we go- you have to keep in mind where this is located. It’s a new development area (45 min from airport and about 25 min from hotel zone) this area of the ocean is deeeeep so you don’t get the more beautiful colours of the water as other areas. Seaweed (early sept) was pretty present and they DO clean the beach. It’s nice but if you’re an ocean person like I am, it wasn’t great for swimming at all. No fault of the resort of course just saying. Spa is a must as well. Very nice. Overall I would def come back here for the warmth of the staff and quality of the rooms.
