Just got home from a great trip.

Grounds are very nice pool is great food was good in the premium section they would run out of things at the bar but move on too the next one and you would find it . The animation team is great as well as the bartenders gardners maids everyone makes sure you are having fun . It was my third time at sanctuary white sands and for the price you pay and what you get is amazing . If you want too eat and drink five star spend double and go somewhere else. But if you want a great deal and good serv [... read more]ice and a beautiful white sands beach with turquoise water go here . Get the premium for sure .

New and Beautiful Hotel

This was a fantastic hotel. Service was exceptional, the beach was amazing, the sand was fine and soft and the ocean water was always a beautiful turquoise colour. As this is a new hotel, everything was in great condition including the grounds, the rooms, and even the bed was exceptionally comfortable. A fantastic experience overall.

We Love This Resort

This resort was incredible! The beach was stunning, the food was delicious, and the service was beyond amazing. We had a wonderful stay and don’t have a single negative thing to say about our experience. We truly loved it and will definitely return. So so resort

The hotel was not bad but too long of a bus ride. When we arrived and asked for a room close to the front lobby, one was not available. I have trouble walking and walk with a cane so I was not too happy. The front desk gave us a new room the next day but we had originally asked for a pool view but was given a room with trees and no view. It was closer to the lobby but no view. The service at the snack bar was awful. Very slow and if you don’t tip they just ignore you. The food was very poor i [... read more]n the buffets, the same thing every day and a lot of empty spaces. The a la carte dinners were not so great either. The entertainment was awful. Was given a wheelchair on the second day and had to return it after 2 days because the paint on the handles ruined my expensive skirt with black paint. Showed it to the front desk and they did nothing about it. This was the worst trip I’ve ever been on. The only good thing was that the pool was clean and the resort was clean. The staff was not nice and if you don’t tip, they ignore you. Not nice at all, since we already pay enough for the trip.

Rooms ok service was poor to far from the airport for what you got didn't get the room we payed for West jet poor service weather was good nothing around the hotel workers all ways expected tips. In general clean resort

Great Resort

Everything is easy to access, lots of food, beach is nice. Staff are very friendly. Big pool. I would return again. We were there for 2 weeks, nothing bad to say! We did not go to a la carte restaurant, the buffet had everything we needed.

Plesently Suprised!

An honest review, hotel was clean, staff were very attentive, you could see they were trying a lot to make your experiance memorable! I would go again if the prices for 10 days were in around $1100 CND, with premium service! Beach and ocean were amazing! grounds were well kept pool was clean and refreshing, If I had something negative to say it would be the quality of food and availability of said food! Adult Only Resort-Santuary White Sands

1) Upon arrival April 29, 2025 Bedsheets were found very dirty and visibly dirty. 2) Top bed cover was also very dirty. 3) Left 2 x notes for maid to provide new clean ones. 4) The resort design is perfect as many paths to your room, pool, etc. 5) With respect to staff during Buffet for Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Too many staff try to offer you water, etc. (5-6 different people) this means too many staff and not organized by section of seating. 6) Staff Meeting required with [... read more] all staff regarding common sense and to pay attention before speaking. Example: I placed food and drink on my table. Then I was told by female waitress - good bye, good night. I then showed her the food at my table. No response from her. This happened 2-3 times a day. 7) All seating at buffet dirty/soiled/greasy. The chair pads need to be washed daily or change the pads to plastic so staff can wipe with soapy cloth at each meal time Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. 8) Hotel Staff at front desk pleasant with a smile each day.

Beautiful beach nice pools

Beautiful resort only 14 months old the Cuban people are wonderful people and appreciative and I would like to thank Sandra DeFaria for keeping us in the loop through our trip booking .Will be in touch Sandra D for our next booking.

Sanctuary White Sands

For an almost new resort the grounds and resort were clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms were clean but the frig was not stocked on a regular basis..it was hit and miss with water bottles left on the counter. I was told I would have a garden room but room 1301 only had a view of roofs. The main dining room had soon any flies what is was impossible to enjoy anything. For me that was uncalled for. I had never seem that is any other resort. This was my 4th visit to Cuba and hope to return again but never to the White Sands. Good hotel for the price

The resort itself is absolutely beautiful and clean. The beach and ocean is definitely the star of the show at this resort. The food is very good at the a la carts however the buffet food was always cold, it's like their heat lamps didn't work. There is very little shade by the pool so instead of the chair game at this resort you will be playing the "shade" game so prepare to get up early if you need shade. The main negative is that it is horribly unorganized. I know it's a new resort and they h [... read more]ave to work out their stuff but having one bartender at the lobby bar making all the drinks and 6 servers does not make sense. The premium upgrade was worth it (if the price is right) strikly for the extra a la carts you get however your sapose to have special seats at pool and beach and no one monitors them so they are not premium. Overall I would go back for the right price.

Amazing beach!

We booked here because we stayed here last year when the resort was 4 weeks new. The ground's are well laid out and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. We thought that the wrinkles of a new resort would be ironed out and some were . The food was much better but still average. The staff is very young and inexperienced. We were a group of 6 and had a great time but there were to many "no's" to things we asked for. The liquor selection was sparse and they didn't have the mixes needed for those  [... read more]nice drinks. Serving drinks our of paper cups at the main lobby bar is inexcusable. The resort was at full capacity and they aren't ready yet for this. The beach is awesome but it's jammed at peak times.

Awesome resort!

Sanctuary White Sands provided a wonderful stay. Clean, comfortable beds, quiet rooms, decent food, fun activities, and awesome staff that did their very best to respond to any concerns. The beach is stunning and kept super clean by the staff at the resort. Loved every minute of our time there.

Nice stay

Beautiful resort. Food was good for Cuba. Beach was gorgeous! There is a very big problem with beach chairs and shade areas. People save beach chairs very earlier in morning (430am). They may use them or not.....I hope the hotel can correct this problem.

Really nice resort

It's Cuba, we were expecting lack of food but was quit good !! Service amazing even with lack of personnal at the restaurants and bars. The butler in building 8 was amazing, she was going really above and beyound all of our requests (5*+++) Amazing beach, endless white sand !! Will be back with friends for sure. Thank you for the 2 beautiful weeks.

Nice stay

New resort which has its own pluses and minuses. Rooms are clean, beach is beautiful but the landscape is not fully grown but nice. I was missing the tall palm trees a little. It’s a large resort and requires a good service but unfortunately the staff was young with a little training and very slow. The long lineups were everywhere and they were not very friendly neither, very dismissive a times especially at the snack bar. Also very often you don’t receive even thank you If you tip them or not due to numer of people and shortages of staff. Also the reservation of the beach chairs was so ridiculous! You had to be at 6-7 am to get your spot otherwise you will have to walk some distance to the entry to the beach…to be honest it was too much stress trying to get comfortable and be on time between the booking the beach and trying to avoid the lineups. More experienced staff would solve a lot of frustration for sure!

Good resort Nice rooms

Liked the decor of rooms, the bathroom was of great size. All very clean. Food quite good, loved the menu, large variety of dishes. Staff adequate, polite even courtious. My B-Day fell in during my stay in the hotel and how surprised was I to see room service knocking on my door with a gift of bottle of Havana Rum! Super nice! ——- Maybe 2 things, one: if the towels in our room got changed every day, the picure would be perfect. People were getting up early to reserve the chairs /beds under shades early morning hours. A bit of a hustle.

Beautiful new resort

This beautiful new resort has lot's of potential with some minor tweaks. The beach is beautiful with almost enough chairs and they were building more shade areas as we speak. Although you need to get up early to reserve them . We traveled as a group of six and had some minor issues ,one room had no blankets which was corrected quickly,my brother had no beach towels which took unfortunately three days to get his towels. The food was good for the most part with some shortages mostly with green vegetables such as green beans,broccoli ,brussel sprouts and fruit. The food in the serving trays are typically cold and this is the area that this resort needs the most work at to improve to get it to the next level. I found if you wanted hot food you had to go to the grilling stations. The cooks at the omelette and grilling stations did a excellent job. The drinks were good but limited and had some shortages with mix such as ginger ale and other mixes. The service for the most part was very good other then the snack bar which was very slow. We had a pool view room was a nice large room well equipped with a very comfortable bed, a huge shower with tons of water pressure and no issues with hot water with a nice big balcony. it was the best room that I had so far in Cuba . Overall we really enjoyed this resort and would return .

Amazing time!!

Beautiful resort ,awesome staff, rooms are clean , no shortage of food ,drinks were plentiful and the most beautiful beach I have ever seen. The only thing negative I can say is they need blankets/comforter for the beds , if you ask for a blanket they just give you another top sheet!! I will definitely be going back!!
