Kaanapali Maui at the Eldorado by Outrigger: Amazing resort

We really enjoyed our stay at the Maui Eldarado resort. The condos were very spacious and was well equipped with all the utilities and well maintained. The view to the garden and the ocean was very scenic. Special thanks to the resort staff who are very polite & courteous. We were very happy with our stay at the resort and will surely recommend it.

Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa: Fabulous resort

Hotel view of the ocean was great, location was central and close to the beautiful town of Lahaina, service was great and staff were very friendly and helpful, beaches were fabulous and lots to do in the area

Maui Kamaole: Excellent Condo/great location

Perfect for our family of 3 (2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 3 Balconies with views of the pool, gardens, mountains and ocean). We took advantage of the kitchen facilities and huge living room. It was a nice touch that the condo included beach chairs, umbrella, etc. There were 3 gas BBQ's in the pool area. A number of beaches and many Restaurants were within walking distance. We definitely recommend this property (close to Wailea plus a short drive to Lahaina and the other attractions)

Grand Wailea Resort: Incredible Resort

The Grand Wailea is absolutely beautiful. We were greeted with Lei's and the entrance was incredible. The gardens throughout the property are well maintained and so pretty to walk through. We were asked if we wanted to upgrade to an oceanview room for an additional $50 per night and we decided to splurge. We had a huge bathroom with a separate shower and tub. The balcony had a double lounger and we had a beautiful view of the gardens and sunset each night. The property is very large [... read more] and my only complaint is that it was extremely difficult to find chairs by the pool. What we did instead was get chairs and umbrellas on the beach as those were included in the resort fee price. The service at this property is amazing and I liked that they always had at least 3 or 4 people at the concierge to help you. We were able to snorkel a one minute walk south of the beach and swam with 6 turtles at one point and saw some beautiful fish. The breakfast buffet is quite pricey and you can walk to the shops at Wailea for other breakfast and dinner options. The grab and go café was also a great option and close to our room. Overall, it was a fantastic room and property and a trip of a lifetime!

Aston at Papakea: Unexpected Delight

I personally work for a major hotel brand so my expectations were high and doubtful. First time in Maui so didn't know what to expect of the "Condo Resort" lifestyle and my expectations were completely exceeded to say the least. Upon arrival, we were surprised to see that the front desk was closed! We arrived very late, after 11pm so this was a little startling. We booked a One bedroom ocean view suite and the unit was beautifully appointed with traditional Hawaiian luxury. Although the property itself is older, the unit has been nicely kept, with new appliances and probably the nicest patio furniture in the whole building. The kitchen was outstandingly well stocked. I was pleasantly surprised by all the extra amenities we didn't expect including the slow cooker, rice cooker etc. All the items you wouldn't think you would have access to so this was a really nice bonus. All the extras allowed us to prepare a lot of meals in our room, keeping the overall cost of our trip low. Our suite was located on the second floor which provided a great view of the courtyard, koi fish ponds, pool and of course, the spectacular view of the ocean. There is really no bad view in any room at this property but you never know what to expect with an "ocean view room" as some hotels market their views this way even if its only a partial view. Our room was fully stocked with all appliances including a washer and dryer which was a nice bonus! Only two downsides were: No full size bath tub and the hotel in general was not overly sound-proof as there were some noisy kids in the unit above us which made for some very early mornings as we were woken up by their excitement. Location in Kaanapali was GREAT, close to grocery stores, restaurants, shopping and attractions, very very convenient. Staff were incredibly friendly and hospitable. As the resort is not truly full service (no on-site restaurant or fitness centre) they do provide some favourable alternatives to not having some of these options. We were pleasantly surprised to be offered complimentary Yoga-lates on the beach in lieu of the fitness centre and they also through a mai tai party for all the guests to come and have some beverages and snacks. Overall, we were thrilled with our stay and will definitely be back!

Aston at Papakea: View was amazing room not so much!

Aston at Papakea The Ocean view was amazing from our room and the area where the resort is located was great to be near Lahaina the one bad thing it was like i was in my great-grandmothers apartment it would need some remodelling and you can't walk in the ocean from the apartments theirs a rock wall.

Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa: Fabulous hotel and vacation

This hotel was perfect for my 3 year old daughter. She loved the lazy river pool. The grounds were beautiful and so peaceful. The Sheraton has the best beach in Kaanapali - great for scuba diving, wading, and shelter from the sun. We had the breakfast buffet one day and it was excellent!

Aston Mahana at Kaanapali: Beautiful resort.

We found the resort absolutely beautiful. So clean, the room was a five star. One of the nicest places we've ever stayed. Everything was what we expected ******************************************************************************

Andaz Maui at Wailea Resort: Andaz maui great resort

This place had everything you needed, right from restaurant's to beach blankets. The staff were there for your every need. The shopping was within walking or if you wanted they also had a courtesy car that would drop you off or pick you up 5 stars.

Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa: Great trip

We had lovely time at the Hyatt. The hotel is located right on the beach which was very convenient. The pool area is very nice but quite busy. Staff were very pleasant. However we found the resort very expensive and there were a lot of additional costs.

Aston Maui Hill: Relaxing and peaceful resort

We enjoyed all the amenities Aston Maui Hill had to offer. The grounds were very well kept which made it very enjoyable sitting on our balcony. The condo was kept clean and the staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed being close to the ocean and away from all the busy tourist areas.

Sheraton Maui Resort and Spa: Way overpriced!

Having stayed at a variety of places at different places in the world, there was nothing about this resort that I would recommend. Pricing was extreme to say the least, and the state of repair of the room wasn't very good and not attended to after letting them know of the issue. Beach was non-existent, weather related apparently, which I understand can happen, but the price should be adjusted accordingly. We traveled there with another couple and they agreed that the rating for this hotel would  [... read more]be about a 2. Resort fee didn't seem to have any value other than wifi which is expensive. Front desk staff not overly friendly, didn't even ask how our stay was when we checked out. I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and I wanted to form my own opinion, however, other negative reviews were pretty spot on. The other point worthy of noting is Trip Central's gimmicky $100 prepaid card, it wasn't usable at any of the places we were at on this trip. All in all, a pretty disappointing use of my money with all of the choices that are out there.

Royal Lahaina Resort: Beautiful Beach

The Garden Cottages were very clean and had lots of space. We were close to the beach and had a lovely patio to sit out in the morning and in the evening. Mauii is a very beautiful place. The food was the only thing that was not so great.

Royal Lahaina Resort: All around solid resort

Quality room. Nice restaurant. Good food. Nightly live Hawaiian music. Good beach. Helpful staff. Hospitality suite access to help get ready for late flights after checking out. Good gym. Free exercise classes.

Royal Lahaina Resort: Fabulous Resort

We had an Aloha Garden Cottage Rm (spacious with two queen beds) ground level with a beautiful golf crse view off our patio. Great showers! Easy quick access to the pools and ocean sandy beach. Super beach fun had by all. Restaurant, Cafe etc all very handy. Your normal coffee machine and small fridge in rm. Staff Super friendly from the time we checked in to the time of departure. Terrific time.

Honua Kai Resort: Great Resort!

We enjoyed staying at this resort! It had all the ammenities and most of the luxuries you could wish for. Excellent restaurant on site and good service from all the staff! We would definitely recommend this resort!

Royal Kahana Maui by Outrigger: Relaxing vacation

We are a mature couple who was looking for a relaxing one-week vacation in Maui. It was our second visit to Maui. Last time, we stayed in Wailuku and so this time we wanted to be more out West closer to the beaches, Lahaina and the North West shore line. We liked the Royal Kahana building. It was easy to find, the Reception desk staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. There was plenty of parking and the building was well maintained. It was very comfortable and it had a great view. We enjoyed having breakfasts on the balcony every single day. Upon check-in, we learned that the beach access was closed due to the shore line erosion since this spring. To access the beach, we had to walk three hotels south to the public Kahana beach, which was quite disappointing and defeated the purpose of selecting a beach front resort in the first place. Even more so because we asked our travel agent about the beach access before making the booking in August. We were informed that the beach is quite small but there was no mention about the fact that it is not accessible from Royal Kahana at all. We didn't use the other facilities - the pool or the fitness center. If the beach was accessible, I would give it 4 starts.

Royal Lahaina Resort: Will be back

We arrived here last Friday August 19th late at night not knowing what to expect. I booked this trip with some doubts after reading a lot of negative reviews but the location and the price for what was advertised as a 4 star hotel, I could not resist. We arrived here with a very friendly welcome, so impressed with the person who checked us in and I was immediately impressed with layout of the front lobby. Very inviting. I knew that rooms would be fairly small from reading other reviews and watching YouTube but I was more concerned about the up keep as there was so many negative postings. Great to report room was great. Shower was amazing( great water pressure), beds were comfy, air conditioning worked great. We had one lamp that wouldn't turn on and that was it. But the view to the ocean was heaven. We woke up to the sun shining bright and it was a great start to our vacation. Housekeeping has been fantastic, another item that kept showing up that they are a hit and miss. In fact the first clean up we left a tip and the maid didn't take so I found another maid later that day and asked her to pass it on to our maid. Well I ran into our maid the following day anc she was so thankful and said she wasn't sure if she should have taken the money. I was so impressed and thankful we were in good hands with hardworking honest people. Having the beach in walking distance was also great. I brought my own snorkeling gear so I had the freedom to jump in and snorkel and not worry about renting. The downside is there is no coral so there is next to nothing to really see other than rocks sand and the odd fish. Although a sea turtle did swim by bumped into my teenage daughter in the shallow water which made her scream. That was the highlight of our trip. It stayed a bit for all of us to view and it headed it's way to black Rock which is just a ways up the ocean to the south. We did breakfast once at the restaurant. It was good but way too expensive although my husband and daughter loved the eggs Benedict. We did royal scoop for treats once. It was good. Self parking is 10.00 a day so we went with valet for 5.00 more. I really like the convenience and they are quick to get your vehicle. And extremely polite I might say opening your door so you feel well taken care of. The pools were good for my teenager girls as they are fairly deep. They weren't spectacular but they entertained enough that the swam a half dozen times. I hope this helps future vacationers. Would definitely come back! Aston at the Whaler on Kaanapali Beach: Wonderful resort by the beach!!

We stayed in Tower One and it was lovely. We had a view of the beach and the gardens (and fish ponds). The service was great and the shops close by were extremely handy. There were also many great restaurants in the area. Waking up to the sound of waves is a GREAT thing!!

The Kapalua Villas Maui: A little disappointed

The resort was beautiful and the views were awesome from our balcony. We even saw a pod of whales! Loved that there was a pineapple waiting for us in the fridge. Downside: The air conditioning was inadequate and our condo was VERY musty and milddew smelling, especially the bedroom. This did affect our sleep. I would be a little more forgiving if we didn't pay for an upgraded room. If this is a gold standard room, I would be cautious on what a standard room would be. The concierge desk was not v [... read more]ery helpful in suggesting things to do for those with some disability challenges. I felt that if they couldn't make money they weren't keen to help.
