Dreams Huatulco: Love this Resort

This is our second time at Dreams, 3rd in Huatulco. The resort is very clean, the staff is awesome, and the food is good rooms are spacious and clean. There’s Entertainment every night. We did find however that the resort needs some work as a lot of the floor tiles have lifted in the hallways and the World Cafe, could be tripping hazards to the elderly. The food is good but since Covid the variety has changed a lot. Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Dreams resort a dream

DREAMS CAPE RESORT COZUMEL I FOUND THE RESORT TO BE CLEAN AND RPOMS VERY LOVELY. OCEAN FRONT IS DEFINITELY WORTH IT.IF U ARE THERE TO SNORKEL THEN THIS RESORT IS FOR U.LOTS OF FISH RIGHT OFF THE BEACH.GROUNDS ARE IMMACULATE.BEAUTIFUL LAYOUT OF VILLAS.MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS THERE ARE NOT ENOUGH RESTAURANTS IN THE DREAMS SECTION AND NO COFFEE BAR IN DREAMS.THE STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL WHEN WE NEEDED A ROOM CHANGE DUE TO A NOISE ISSUE FROM THE POOL PUMP.THEY CHANGED OUR ROOM BY 12 THE NEXT DAY TO AN [... read more] OCEANFRONT IN A VILLA RIGHT BESIDE OUR ORIGINAL BUILDING AND WE HAD NO ISSUES WITH NOISE.CHECKIN WAS VERY SLOW.WE WERE TOLD NOT ENOUGH STAFF.LATE CHECKOUT WAS NOT AN ISSUE.ALLOWED TO STAY IN ROOM UNTIL 3 OVERALL A GREAT STAY.

Dreams Huatulco: Nice Hotel

We all had a wonderful time. The room was very comfortable and clean, the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Golf course nearby was also excellent and convenient. We enjoyed the buffet restaurant the most but also the à la carte restaurants. Steven pools plus a nice beach. Would definitely visit again. Park and Fly voucher was an added bonus.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Very Good Resort

Onyx is a large complex but its layout leaves a lot of space. The well designed, low architecture does not overwhelm. This is a family resort. We enjoyed the presence of happy families with cheerful kids. The beach is long and wide with sandy access to the water. There are waves practically every day but this allows great body surfing and water play close to the shore. For good swimmer there is about 500m distance to cover along the shoreline. All restaurants in the Onyx complex do not require reservation and some form of dress code adds to the ambience of this resort.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Beautiful resort

Entertainment was really good and bands were excellent.pPools are beautiful and well maintained. Grounds are well kept. Bar staff at pools are amazing. Bar staff at piano lounge is extremely slow in the evening.drink selection is varied. Daily newsletter is informative although it would be nice to have it slipped under our door every day like on the many cruises I have been on. The company who run the excursions both in the hotel and at the beach side seem disinterested and not very helpful. Th [... read more]erefore we booked an excursion from a fellow on the beach. Massage prices at the spa extremely costly and therefore booked a beautiful one hour massage right on the beach unrelated to the hotel. The food was just good. I can’t believe reservations are not allowed at any restaurants. The Italian restaurant was our favourite. The French restaurant was an embarrassment-its just tables in a hallway with no views. It’s like they just added it with no thought. Tried to get in Saturday night and no tables, went back Sunday night to find it closed. Returned Monday night at 7 and told to return at 8 even though there were some empty tables. The hostess ignored us for some time then seated us. It took one hour for salad and appetizer. Waited ten minutes for a top up of wine , our entree had not arrived by nine o’clock and we left without saying a word. We were extremely disappointed. The 1 and 1/2 hour ride to the resort was long and bumpy and not picturesque. The transport from the airport to the hotel left without us and we contacted the Air Canada rep Rose Gomez and filed a miscellaneous clients report, she said the other passengers were transported. We searched at the airport and saw no signs of Air Canada or of Dreams. There was a long customs line at the airport, we ended up taking a private taxi to Dreams for a cost of $100USD.The resort rep said she would follow up with a superior and email me which she never did. Overall it was a relaxing and enjoyable trip. However, I will never book a resort so far from the airport and any excursions.

Dreams Curacao Resort Spa and Casino: Lovely island but resort is looking a little tired

The rooms were very clean but lacking in personality/decor. The hallways and stairwells almost seemed institutional, they were so plain. We had to request additional shower gel as it was not replenished. Pillows were lumpy. The chairs on the balcony were very uncomfortable. One night we had to wait over 90 minutes for our dinner at the Italian restaurant, and then one dish was unpalatable. Another night, the service was excellent and the food delicious, at the same restaurant. The ribeye steak a [... read more]t the Bluewater grill was less than a centimetre thick and cooked well done. We were not asked how we would like it cooked. The fish tacos at the Oceana lunch restaurant were awesome. The food at the limited buffet was repetitive but quite tasty. We enjoyed the croquettes very much. There was never bacon at breakfast, though there were usually 3 kinds of sausage. Service in the buffet was less than stellar, as it was hard to get a refill of beverages. The wait staff spent most of their time clearing tables. There were perhaps not enough staff. At the pool bar, pours were generous, but the plastic glassware was so old, it was opaque with wear and scratches. They often ran out of bottles of water. Beach chairs under the palapa in the shade had to be reserved with a towel by 7 in the morning. There were sections of the beach that were rocky and hard to navigate in bare feet. Staff were always very friendly, even when they were working very hard. We had a pleasant week but would not return to this resort.

Dreams Karibana Cartagena Golf and Spa Resort: Great Resort!

Very clean room, beautiful lobby, amazing view, good restaurants, kind and caring staff! Pools need to be maintained and cleaned more often. Just make sure you have your black tea with you, they only serve coffee in the morning.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Not as Expected

My wife and I both got food poisoning at the resort as well as another couple we met, cleanliness is subpar, pools filthy and glasses only rinsed at pool bars when they have dishwashers on site. Night life is terrible and main bar closes at 11pm only leaving dance club available for drinks, we will not be returning to Deams in Costa Rica or any other.

JW Marriott Costa Elena Resort and Spa: Good Family Resort - Lots of Weddings!!

Beach/Pool 3/5 The Pool is absolutely beautiful but there were a few concerns. There are lots of stairs throughout the grounds so many of the pool areas are inaccessible for those with accessibility concerns/strollers. We found ourselves very limited in where we could access and enjoy our time if we had the stroller with us and our little one was sleeping and we could not remove him. The pool area will be almost completely overrun with saved seats/towels by 7 am. If chairs are left unattended the resort, unfortunately, does not enforce any type of policy regarding the removal of items for other guests. We also noticed the pool concierge saving seats for other preferred guests which just did not sit right with us. Service 4/5 The service at this resort was exceptional. From the concierge to the bartenders. Everyone always went over and above to make sure our experience was positive. The only thing I had any concerns over was that there were particular service employees who would ignore you if you did not tip/give a large enough tip compared to those around you. Food 3/5 The food was mediocre. The buffet had limited choices for picky eaters/kids and seemed to be the same for lunch/breakfast daily with only rotating a few different nights throughout the week. The restaurants were fantastic however the wait once seated was very long. Meals would take approx 90 min from start to finish and takeout was unavailable at the restaurants. The room service was great. Rooms 4/5 Housekeeping was amazing at what they did. They were consistent and kept up with every request we had. There were some concerns with the cleanliness and when we brought it up they fixed it right away. Beds were comfortable and the TV channels were great. Value 4/5 Overall the value for this resort was fair. We felt like we had phenomenal service, good food and we were able to relax and the resort gave us what we wanted for a vacation. Location 2/5 Unfortunately the location of this resort was not researched enough and if we had known what little there was to do around we probably would not have chosen this location. The ride to town is a very long and bumpy 35 minute ride and town does not have much to offer.

Dreams Cozumel Cape Resort and Spa: Beautiful setting

The resort is physically beautiful size properly for our taste. It is experiencing a learning curve in terms of service and English language skills. The food is the service restaurants was excellent quality and interestingly prepared.

Dreams Huatulco: FANTASTIC staff

This is our 4th time to a Dreams resort ( first time here) and 1 Secrets. They all have their own charms and this resort definatley does as well. I think COVID has taken its toll on this one though. This is the first time we dont really think we got value for the money we spent. The resort is really showing its age, Its all the little things, peeling paint in the hall ways, the pools are all missing tiles, There is next to no entertainment on this resort, In the past at every other resort we [... read more] have been to, there has always been something going on. Not here, is this a direct result of the impacts of Covid? I hope so. The food, IF you went to one of the resturaunts was pretty good, but the breakfasts were , for the most part a dissapointment. Our room had a fantastic view, that is the area though. Huatulco is so beautiful! The beach was certainly differant than those on the Gulf side, but the water is warm, the pools are warm and the drinks are cold!

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Great resort

2nd time at this resort it did not disappoint. There are some minor things have changed since COVID as the hotel may be cutting back to save on expenses. The only item that I didn’t like was that the Pool towels are no longer readily available on pool chairs or on stands. You now have to pick them up from a towel hut and you can only get one per person after they verify your room number. Food was good we stayed at the preferred club and really enjoyed the food and service at the beach  [... read more]restaurant. Room was clean however we did not get the preferred club amenities despite having paid for preferred. Beach is great the the pools are beautiful. We really enjoyed our stay and will return.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Amazing

Amazing Resort. Dreams Dominicus in La Romana is the best resort we have been so far. Everything was perfect. Room, food, entertainments, drinks… most impressive things was the cleanliness of the resort and in particularly the rooms. We will definitely recommend.

Dreams Dominicus La Romana: Ok resort

We were at the preferred club part and the beach was nice but if not for that the beach on the other side was crowded and no shade. We had booked a room with pool view and did not honour that when we got there. Rooms were cleaned late in the day and not cleaned on 2 days of our 7 day stay. Food was overall good and so were drinks. Service on the beach was terrible bringing us warm bear and leaving it there with the lid on the bottle. Beach was nice, ocean was rough for 3 days out of the  [... read more]seven. No seaweed which was nice.

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: This resort is stunning

The grounds, rooms, pools, beach, restaurants/bars, staff are all amazing. We would definitely start at this resort again. We travelled as a group of 12, agre range 4-59. *********************************

Dreams Sands Cancun Resort and Spa: Great Resort

The resort is one of the best on the strip in Cancun, in particular the beach. The food was excellent. We ate at both steak places, Mexico has perfected steak, the Hibachi, excellent and the Italian restaurant, also excellent. Service was very good as well. Staff was very friendly and made a point of getting to know you. Only issue, is rooms are not very sound proof

Dreams Huatulco: Great resort, amazing beach!

Service overall was excellent, very friendly and the rooms were clean. COVID adaptations in the restaurants were well executed, although of course nothing beats pre-COVID ability to serve yourself at the buffet but that's no fault of the resort.

Dreams Natura Resort and Spa: Very pleasant resort close to the airport

We stayed at Dreams Riviera at the end of Dec '22 and we liked the place. The double junior suite was clean and comfortable with the spacious balcony facing the ocean and the central courtyard. The courtyard was green, nicely lay-outed and perfectly maintained, the beach was spacious and seaweed was under control. We ate breakfasts and lunches at the big buffet, on the pleasant, sea-facing patio. The food was plentiful and mostly good (we loved the fresh breads). Can't comment on the room se [... read more]rvice because we much preferred the restaurants, especially the Bordeaux (the steak!), The Asian and the Italian places were also good. Less so the Mexican (too big servings) and the best located Grill but that's our opinion. Unlike some of the comments, we didn't notice any smell from decomposing swamp plants, there were zero mosquitoes, the service was helpful and friendly. Mind you, if you want to venture outside, this is not the place for you as it is cut off from the road by the vast swamps extending to the Hwy 307 and the access to this and the neighboring resort is surprisingly bad, along the narrow, busy road used by workers, delivery tracks and tour buses with cars parked along the way. On the other hand the proximity to the airport is a bonus considering the monstrous traffic jams around Cancun. Overall we would recommend it as a family place for 4-7 days visits.

Hyatt Vivid Punta Cana: amazing resort

The resort and staff were amazing in every way. Food was always great. If anything the beach was constantly filling up with seaweed as it washed ashore overnight. They generally cleaned it every day but cant keep up with it. The water was usually filled with it also so swimming in the ocean only happened on one occasion.
