Ocean Coral Spring: Amazing Resort!

My husband and I were just at Ocean Coral Spring for a week! It was the best vacation! The resort is absolutely beautiful! We didn't have a bad meal all week, food was amazing and so many options!! Before we left we were already planning to go back next year and bring the kids! Everything is within a close distance, lots of entertainment and stunning location & property!! Highly recommended!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Great place

A very comfortable and stylish complex of buildings, pools and walkways. Rather narrow, but pleasant beach with umbrellas and sun beds. The water at the shore not very transparent due to waves stirring the sand. Some floating seaweeds. The coral reef about 1 km off the shore, available by motor boats on snorkeling trips, around U$ 65 per person. Also kayaks and catamarans for rent (free). Can be reached on a excursion form the hotel, taxi or a rented car.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Loved almost everything!

Great staff, beautiful pools and lovely rooms. The beach is nice, but the water isn’t great for swimming because of the seaweed, although the staff tries their best to clear it. The only disappointment was the food at the Mexican restaurant. I would recommend this resort and would go back again.

Ocean Eden Bay: Fantastic vacation

The resort was very nice overall. The room was beautiful and clean. The pool was nice and big with lots of lounge chairs available. The beach was small but beautiful. You had to get up very early to get a good spot. The restaurants were good if they were open. Unfortunately we didn't get to dine at the Italian because without notice they decided it was reservation only. When you tried to book...it was booked up. A big thank you to Alicea from the Marlin restaurant bar for all her service on the beach. Everyone works very hard to make you happy. Mike's coffee shop is a must...great coffee and desserts.

Ocean Maya Royale: Nice resort

My son and I went on a week long trip together at the Ocean Maya Royale. The grounds are beautiful, the beach was great to the right of the pools. (In front of the volleyball net). We found the other part not as nice due to the seawall that they have built I assume to protect the beach. The food was fairly good. I enjoyed getting a nice cappuccino from Mike’s coffee house each morning. The store had nice shopping. We didn’t see the shows. Only issue we had was we got pretty bad food poison [... read more]ing from the excursion we booked from Margarita at the resort. It was the Isla Mujeres excursion- do not book this one!!! My son threw up on the catamaran, in the cab home and in our room. I didn’t get sick until our plane ride home it was just awful :( . If we forget about the excursion we had a nice stay. Our room was not in good working order. Each morning the shower seemed to leak into the floor. We had to use our towels each time to sop up an enormous amount of water. We loved the Japanese restaurant. The Italian was beautiful, right on the ocean and was our favourite. I would stay again!

Ocean Coral Spring: Met all the expectations

I went in to this trip looking for a kids centred hotel and resort and Shannon at west jet really Delivered. This place did not disappoint. From the water park, to the lazy river, the bowling alley, movie theatre , video games and more. Food was great and staff were amazing. My 6 year old absolutely loved it.

Ocean Coral Spring: Resort was fantastic!

Amazing resort, perfect for families…so much to do with water park, lazy river, massive pool and beautiful beach. Food was amazing and no major complaints at all. Would recommend to anyone looking to go to Jamaica on vacation.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Food poisoning

Whole family got food poisoning from the buffet. Will never go back to this resort. The only enjoyable experience was the daisyclub for the kids. The teachers were attentive and caring. Carla is amazing.

My husband and I stayed at OceonCoral Sring-- jamaica the week of February 6 for 7 days.Thiswase our second time at this beautiful resort. On our arrival we met Latonya at the front desk she introduced ANDRE' the manager..they're both so welcoming, helpful and professional took care of everything we needed. Ocean Maya Royale: Expectations Exceeded!!!

Our vacation at Ocean Maya Royale couldn't have been anymore perfect. All the reviews we read prior to going were spot on. The front desk was very welcoming when we arrived and even called to check on us in the middle of our stay to make sure everything was okay. The food, service and music were excellent and the room far exceeded our expectations with the marble floors, clean linens, stylish bathroom and private balcony. Having the ocean always in view and close proximity gave you options to spend more time on the beach. There seemed to be lots of seaweed but was always being cleared so it never interfered with your time spend on the beach and in the water. Always enough loungers, clean towels and bar service on the beach. Atmosphere of the resort was calm and relaxing. The grounds were spotless. Everything was so clean. The staff were amazing. I honestly can't say enough. We loved that it catered to people 18+. This resort comes highly recommended.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Bad management

There are signs all around the pool not to reserve the chairs every one dose it in fact they put clothing at night witch i found out late in our stay and no one does anything about it. Why have the signs out there.there aren’t enough chairs out there, theirs holes around the pool for umbrella but no umbrellas.the same with the beach area now for reservations for restaurants it’s a joke my wife went there at 8:30 to book the steak house she was told 9:30 was the only time left they had,after bre [... read more]akfast I went to cancel it was to late to eat there was a couple asking for reservations at the steak house and they were given a choice between 6:00 or 7:30 and that was at 10:30 so i complain and was given 6:00. Entertainment was good the grounds were nice and most employees were great but would not recommend or go there.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Descent Resort with 4 Sections

Rooms were spacious and clean. Mini fridge was stocked with 2 beers a day per room!! If you wanted more you had to pay for it. All inclusive?? Grounds were very well kept and clean. Restaurants were of descent quality and lots of options to choose from. Liquor was descent but bartenders needed a lesson on making shooters ?. Staff was generally friendly but a lot of staff seemed disgruntled. Beach was not bad but chairs were very limited. Pool lounge chairs need to be replaced. A bit far from  [... read more]Playa del Carmen, cab ride was approx. $25. US one way (approx 20 minutes) Wasn’t impressed with the Spring Breakers overtaking our adults only facilities!!!! There are 4 sections to the hotel…. Daisy for families with small children, with a large water park and slides. El Beso for adults only. Eden was closest to the beach and was for families. Privileged section. There was also a little train that went from lobby to beach and back all day. That was nice.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Relaxing Resort that made for a great vacation

Overall, this was a great resort, however, they missed on certain things that could make it an incredible resort. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, with the mini fridge stocked daily and housekeeping doing an exceptional job of cleaning our room - however, the AC failed to work for most of the week and this seemed to be an issue with multiple rooms. Most restaurants were great, especially the Teppanyanki, but certain restaurants had limited service, long waits, and mediocre food. The staf [... read more]f across the resort were incredible, with service being the number one priority, but they seemed to be lacking quantity in many locations, which was the blame for the slow service from my perspective. The grounds were incredible with a beautiful lobby and flora, and a huge amount of space to explore - if you like large resorts, this is a great place to go! However, this is not a beach resort - lots of pools, but beach is extremely rocky! Avoid the timeshare salespeople at all costs - they'll indicate that it'll only take a certain amount of time, but you go through a chain of people who don't communicate with each other and it is impossible to get your 'promised voucher' without spending minimum 3 hours. We did and they still did not follow through on everything that the first person promised and they wouldn't even share the pricing for the timeshares as we were not serious enough about purchasing - again, a big waste of time!

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Good value

View from a 75 year old. Check in is slow. Hotel package offer is time share offer in disguise. Easy to say no. We stayed 2 weeks Feb-March. Junior Garden suite near kids pool. Rooms are spacious and very well equipped with soap, shampoo, shave kit, toothbrush kit etc etc. King bed was firm and comfortable. Lots of storage and a safe. Decent coffee maker. Bar had 4 soft drinks, 2 light beers and 4 bottles of water. Restocked daily. Separate bath (top rusting from salt) and good shower with lots  [... read more]of hot water. Decor was dated ie orange tiles, mirror could use resilver. Nice patio furniture. Lounge chair used as a desk chair was a bit irritating. Free WiFi with good connectivity. Cleaning staff excellent. I found restaurants above average. Never had a tender steak in Mexico before. Good buffet with lots off variety. An oddity, need to ask for salt and pepper at all restaurants. A plus, food not allowed outside restaurants. Staff varied from excellent to indifferent. Typical entertainment, with not enough seating for all to view. I enjoyed some of the shows. Great beach. Seaweed constantly removed by tractor. Pools clean and a boisterous party pool for the younger set. Good kiddies pool. Usual issues with towels claiming spots on beach and pools. Go before 8. Expect to see iguana, gecko, feral cats, agouti, coati, racoons and even alligators in a contained wild area. Pelicans and frigate birds abound and you may see an oriole. Birding fair at best. Grounds are well maintained. 1 hr walk to Puerto Morales, or take a free 25 minute bike tour to town.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice clean resort w/ great food!

The resort was very clean. Rooms were always clean. A little dated, but clean. Food was great. Did not have 1 bad meal. Japanese and Steak House were both excellent, and the Marina for lunch and buffet for breakfast did not disappoint. Staff were always se friendly and helpful. Only thing I would not recommend is going to the shopping market. Very overpriced merch and it took over 1/2 to get our ride back.

Ocean El Faro: Enjoyed

Modern, very well designed resort. Grandiose lobby, followed by promenade, surrounded with restaurants, shops and entertainment area. Spacious rooms well equipped with all necessary furniture. Surrounding gardens very well maintained.. Beach was not up to our expectations, rocky, it was windy at time we were there, Atlantic ocean can be wavy and not cozy for swimming. There is a small Laguna nearby where swimming is safe and easy, however this is not in the sight of hotel, therefore not main [... read more]tained. Side of Dominican that faces Caribbean see likely has better beaches and calmer see for swimming. We visited Saona island, it took about 8 hrs. driving and boating back and forth to spend about 4 hrs. on island (not the best organization of the trip), however it was worth, the island is beautiful. Service at excellent level and very friendly in all areas (restaurants, rooms, etc,), Entertainment group puts a lot of effort to keep us well entertained. Their English is much better than our Spanish. It took about 7 hours flight from my country, and about 1hr. drive from airport to this hotel.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing resort

Fantastic atmosphere , very friendly and clean resort. Very well maintained rooms, nice personnel ( koodos to our beautiful and lovely lady Rosalba who took care of us during our dining at the breakfast/dinner buffet ??). Entertainment at the resort was incredible ( Blue Team - you rock!!! ? ). Food was everything we could think of , delicious, lots of variety for everyone. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: First Time! Amazing Trip!

Ocean Coral is an amazing resort! Beautiful gardens, walkways, beach setups and relaxing areas. Easy to get around, many restaurants, snack spots and bars, that are clean and ready to accommodate. Friendly staff, always around and ready to help get you whatever you want.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Excellent Vacation at Ocean Blue

This was a great resort! Check-in: Simple, friendly and quick Rooms: Clean, spacious, of course there’s a bit of a musty smell, it’s a crazy humid climate. We turned the dehumidifier on and it was fine. AC worked great. A bit of staining on bathroom floor from leaky shower but who cares. Building was quiet. Food: Delicious! Great variety. Get in line at 7:15 am at the left hand buffet entrance to book the Steak and Japanese restaurants. For the rest, just be in line around 5:40 pm and you’ll get right in at 6. Food in all of them was great!! Arancini Balls in Italian and Chicken Flautas in Mexican are a must! Serve yourself soft serve ice cream at second pool or beach buffet. Yum! Or ice cream parlour for waffle cone treats. Mike’s coffee makes a fantastic frozen cappuccino and hot French Vanilla cappuccino. Chocolate martinis at the lobby bar are delicious! Plenty of drinks available everywhere. Just see Manuel and Joneiry at the first swim up bar for the best Mojitos and if you’re brave, ask Melfi for a Sammy Sosa!! Grounds: Immaculate! I doubt any fallen leaf is down for more than a minute! People- pleeeeease don’t make a hard working gardener pick up your cigarette butts when there’s an ashtray 20 ft away!! Seriously! The resort has concrete, cobblestone paths and all the buildings are marble/ ceramic. We found this to be really hard on our feet and legs. Take the little carts that go around regularly! Staff: Friendly and hardworking. They sometimes didn’t speak English well enough to understand what we were asking which ended up in extra nachos and bizarre shopping trips!! Remember they get paid a fraction of what we do for the hard work they’re doing. Tip well! Beach: incredible! Chair Situation: Get up early if you want chairs. On the beach, a few bucks can typically get you a chair from somewhere. Vendors: Fairly pushy, just be ready to say no if you don’t want something. Photographers accompany people with parrots, iguanas offering to take pics of you and then you’re out $20! Other: Watch out for the white shirt smiley ladies hovering at your building entrances. They just want to give you your “welcome package” or “a little bit of information”. It’s a very aggressive time share meeting that will take 2-3 hrs of your vacation. Entertainment: The animation team does an amazing job during the day but we found the evenings a bit lacking. There were two shows in the theatre but they were so loud!!!! Often just bingo in the lobby. There is a digital screen in the lobby that has all of the info on it. We didn’t find it until halfway through. It is mostly correct. Overall: We had a fantastic vacation here and would come back in a heartbeat!!

Ocean Coral Spring: some good - some bad

The hotel was nice and clean. The food was phenomenal. The beach in front of the Ocean Coral wasnt nice at all, the other side the Ocean Coral had a better beach, which we finally found out we could walk over and use the water, but couldnt sit on the beach. I have never been to a resort where there is a premium side and non premium side where the entertainment was exclusively on the premium side and that the whole resort couldnt partake in. I was very disappointed to see that I couldnt eat a [... read more]t the steakhouse either, that was for premium or ocean eden only. We found alot of the bartenders not very friendly. One bartender was extremely friendly though, Rincan, kudos to him. The resort is five stories high and the elevators were very subpar. They could only take about 2 people at a time. Room was great, housekeeping and filling of things like towels and water, was hit and miss. Big thing to point out too, the lazy river was nice, but they didnt have enough tubs and people either had to wait long, or get out early.
