Grand Oasis Riviera: Beautiful Resort

This hotel was great. The food was good, the view was amazing, it was very clean. The one downfall I experienced was a lack of willingness to accommodate reservations for dinner. There were three restaurants we were unable to get into and the ones we did were after 9pm and the resort was not busy. Besides this, the waitstaff were amazing, kind and caring. The beach was spectacular and the games and shows were fun!

Everything was nice and clean. Service was great. Food was different but ok. Rooms clean but could still use some updating. Other than that everything was ok.waiters and maids were very good.i could go back.

Brisas Del Caribe: An Amazing Trip

It was my first trip anywhere "tropical" and I enjoyed every minute. I would go back again. Thank you Brisas Del Caribe for a memorable time. My friends and I had so much fun and many memories were made for a lifetime.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Nice Resort

A great hotel with lots of facilities. Beautiful ocean view but room and balcony are too small in size. Restaurants and food are good. Staff are nice and helpful. Regular maintenance work seen ongoing.

Grand Oasis Palm: ok spot for families

I did not overly like any of the buffets. The sushi was great at the suchi bar and at maki taco. I dId not like the reservation system for booking a la carte dinners. Having to wake up early to wait in line for an hour daily to not even be guaranteed a spot was kind of stupid. Didn't like how rooms didn't have balconies. Room service should be included. Lots of options for kids to do. Kids buffet looked kind of gross. OVERALL NOT BAD Still enjoyed our holiday lots.

Grand Oasis Cancun: Great vacation

Motel was good service in restaurants was excellent and the beach excellent the swim up bar smelled like urine and they washed down the patios at night with pool water which made it all smell like urine I would never get into that pool again

Brisas Del Caribe: Renovations since last visit

We were there 3 years ago. Since then, they've renovated the south section with new bathrooms-tiles, sink, paint etc.; the lobby terrace with an outdoor bar, pergolas and lots of tables and chairs; new planters and decor. There's new loveseat swings in the front entrance and the terrace-love the wrought iron claw legs! Baby ducklings in the pond were a hit with all ages.

Brisas Del Caribe: Good resort

The grounds were impeccable. Beautiful pools, well maintained. The most of staff were very friendly and helpful on average. I notice we had better service when we were tipping. I spent $400 on tipping alone to get excellent service. Once staff kbew you were tippers then were on you like bees to honey. We thought food sucked. Need better variety. He had about 20 people in line. He gave 2-4 steaks to the first 3 people than called his friends up for the rest. There should be portion limit of 1 then return if you want more. Everyone was angry and there was no more steaks. He was very rude and did same thing at other sitting. They need a manager to watch quality and portion control. Lots of wasted food. Maids did great job daily. Also, we bought Vip package but never got bottle of rum in room. No one seem to know anything about this. All in all, we like resort but no the barage of tipping for great service or the food and food grill cook.

Brisas Del Caribe: large resort

the resort was nice but too big to make it personal. Most of the staff were great, although a couple of them could have been more pleasant, after all, we were on vacation!! We did not pay to be barked at!! Food was good, room nice and maid was very pleasant.

Brisas Del Caribe: good value for the money

I have been to Varedero eight times, my first time at the Brisas Del Caribe I was pleasantly surprised,stayed in room 363 it was close to everything, you take the elevator down to reception where there is a bar, and a terrace to have cocktails, and the best cappachino! I updated to VIP package for an extra $100, that gave me late check out and lobster dinner and a better room, well worth the money, but no coffee maker as offered. Keep in mind you are in Cuba, there was a few issues with toilet s [... read more]eats, they don't have any on the pool bathrooms! and the main pool is very busy and noisy but they other pool was very quiet. I paid $700 would not be the same rating if I had paid $1100

Grand Oasis Riviera: Amazing location!

The hotel is located on one of the best beaches. The resturants were wonderful . I really had the most wonderful time! The only thing I would have change is the rooms need upgrading. The are a bit dated... And the typical mustiness was present.the staff is wonderful , issues were resolve quickly! Overall a good hotel can't wait to go back!

Grand Oasis Cancun: The potential is there!

The grounds are well kept and the is lots to do. Bars, restaurants, lounges and beache were a very decent etc...the pools especially the party pool was toxic. They need focus on the pools everyday. The staff were all very nice as and surprisingly the timeshare agents did not harass us at all. The lows, room was so basic it had no dresser for clothes, bathrooms were grungy to say the least, had to pay for very bad wifi, had to pay for a room safe, our fridge didn't work so why keep giving me warm [... read more] pop and beer? Lastly the hallway noise at night really detracts from the ability to get sleep when you're tired and just want an early quiet night. By early I mean 11pm-12am the yelling and door slamming has to be controlled in room areas, big issue! They need stiffer security.

The resort was absolutely gorgeous. Perfect view of the beach, delicious food, many restaurant options. The service was impeccable. The rooms were clean and well maintained. Not far from the party life.

Lots of pools and restaurants. Always well kept. Staff friendly but overworked. Also, we experienced less attention from the staff(bartenders) because we were not wearing V.I.P bands thus year.Telaphone in the room didnt work but we had a jacuzzi. Cest la vie!!

Grand Oasis Sens: Repeat customer

The hotel seemed to downgrade its shows and food selection from last year. Still a beautiful place but in need of maintenance. They gave us a ocean view with a jacuzzi which was thrilling on the main floor. More of a relaxed atmosphere, love the beach, usually wavy waters. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

Overall not a bad vacation spot. The reviews for this resort in the weeks leading up to my trip were absolutely scathing. However, I found the resort clean, comfortable and pleasant. The staff were friendly, and the food much better than expected, not spectacular but you can find something worth eating. Every night the main cafeteria had a good dish on the grill, and the morning omelette bar was always tasty, The room was a bit musty, and there wasn't really much in the way of evening activitie [... read more]s, otherwise for a first time vacation in the Caribbean I have no real complaints.

The resort was ok. Food was not good! Beach was Great! The staff were very friendly and service at bars was very good. The location of the resort was close to Varadero. The night life in Varadero was great. Had alot of fun at the Beatles bar and the Cave. Over all it was a good trip!

Brisas Del Caribe: very pretty resort, fabulous beach

We were pleasantly surprised after reading some of the previous reviews. Eight of us, including 3 little ones went for 11 nights. Our first rooms were Not acceptable, because of location and bed placement. They couldn't move us that first night. We went back the next and the next days, and did get exactly what we wanted. But we did persevere. The food was just as expected. Not fancy, but good variety every night. Salad bar fresh, home made bread, assorted expensive cheeses. Kids loved the pasta  [... read more]and of course the ice cream and Desert stations. No one had upset tummies. We did go to the A la Carte Restaurants. You get 2 reservations per week. They were never crowded. Beautiful, attentive service, different food. The pools, and beach were superb. Good drinks at the abundance of bars. Watersports were easy to use. Catamaran, snorkle trip extra money, but worth it. The kids club was the Best. The gal who runs it, Margarita...is a real sweetheart. The kids loved her and looked forward to going. We travelled with Hola Sun. Our free day tour to the Belamar caves was Fantastic. Did not take the little ones, not suitable for elderly or very young. Also we really enjoyed Cubana Air. No luggage fees, or weight restrictions and a box meal included. Bonus. All and all, this was a great vacation at a budget price. If this is what you are looking for, then you will be pleased. If you have more expensive tastes, then pay more and be satisfied. One last thing, for us the shows started too late. 10pm is too late if you've been on the go all day. 9pm. Would be better. Grand Oasis Cancun: Grand Oasis - Won't be going back

If you're shopping around for a resort, don't go to the Grand Oasis. There were some pros - which was mainly the grounds of the resort, which were beautiful. Everything else fell short of expectations. The actually room was dirty and smelled of mildew. The food just didn't taste good at all. The hotel is a true "party" spot. The music was blasting at all hours. This would be a good place to go if you're 18- 23. Otherwise, spend the extra cash and go somewhere nicer.

Brisas Del Caribe: Just an ok resort

While most of the staff was amazing there were a few that were very short and rude. When asked for help, some got angry and walked away or shooed us away from them because if the language barrier and lack of understanding. The 24 hour snack bar was a joke. We didn't have to use it very often but when we did we had to wait almost an hour for food. Not something any patent wishes to go through when traveling with 3 kids. Not the answer I was looking for while on an all inclusive trip where you aren't supposed to drink the local water. We all know nobody goes to Cuba for the food but we had very little selection at our buffets. If and when we needed an Internet card we either had to wait anywhere between 20 minutes and hour or go to a neighboring resort to purchase one. The entertainment staff was great. They were constantly engaging with guests and making sure they had a great time. Our sunwing representative was awesome!!! She helped us through a lot and was very good at her job. She truly went above and beyond!
