Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: very nice

very nice resort very friendly people food is the best we have ever had down south beds are even comfortable to sleep in the only bad part about the resort is it has a vey small beach but there is pools everywhere so we didn't really miss the beach too much

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Wonderful resort!

It never felt overcrowded here which is incredible considering it was at capacity. The staff was fantastic, weather gorgeous and the food was amazing. I would visit this resort again in a heartbeat and would recommend to friends and family.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Fantastic resort

We loved this resort. It is huge. It was at full capacity when we were there and you would never know as the places you went had no line ups and no crowds. In the room category we had unlimited room service and fully stocked bar and semi-private pool. Our own private paradise away from the rest of the resort. The pools were fantastic however we wouldn't consider this to be a great beach resort. Not that it is an issue as everything else makes up for the lack of beach. Sandals Royal Plantation: Resort ok

Felt the resort old and tired looking and the 1 bedroom butler suite needed renos. Beach and the water very disappointing. Butler service was also disappointing didnt get the "wow" factor that we are used to.

Sandals South Coast: Great resort.

Lovely grounds. Friendly staff. This resort lived up to its reputation. The beach is great but not nice for swimming. I love the ocean but it was weedy. Do not choose Whitehouse if you enjoy a clear ocean. It was nice to not have to make reservations for dinner. Never a long wait, if any. Bar service in the evening, is especially slow. I enjoyed the morning aqua fit class and the included water sports.Overall, a nice relaxing vacation.

Sandals Regency La Toc Golf Resort and Spa: Def 5 stars but....

La Toc was nice, very clean and as advertised the water was yellow or red flagged everyday. Dont bother with any scenic tours unless you never watch TV. Nothing new to see in St Lucia really. Its not worth the money to be driven to where vendors wait for tourists. The food was generally very good. Steak night was EXCELLENT. The Sushi restaurant Soy is much bettervthan most reviewers give it credit but the staff there are the least attentive and friendly. The Carribean restaurant was very good. I [... read more] personally didnt enjoy the Italian rest. The street party was fun. One of the best parts and we shouldve taken more advantage of was the shuttles to The Grande Sandals. The water was very calm there and the beach nicer. I have nothing Negative to say other than I wasted my money on a tour I knew would be a waste but thats my fault. Not a real WOW factor place but good food, friendly people and a clean hotel. Cant complain

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Very good resort

The only very disappointing feature of the resort was the food and restaurant service. The resort did not compare at all with other similar resorts which hold themselves out as high end. The food was adequate at best.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: fantastic vacation

We had a great time. The drive from the airport to the resort was 1 1/2 hours which was disappointing but it was worth the drive. The grounds and pools were amazing. It was a tropical paradise. The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. All the restaurants were very nice with great views of the resort especially the outside dining. We had a villa up on the hillside with the butler service and private pool. The private pool was a disappointment. We had to call for someone to come and ski [... read more]m the pool and the ratan furniture around the pool was broken with holes in the tables and lounges. We never used the pool area because it was depressing to look at and uninviting, but yet our two neighbours, their pool area was great. We regret not complaining about this but it did not lessen the great vacation that we had. We would definitely go back again but would book in the Riveria Seaside in one of the small villas. They are very private and are surrounded by a tropical paradise and it is very central in the resort to everything. We would also never have a butler again. Nothing personal, we are just private people and like to do our own thing and not be bothered.

Sandals Royal Plantation: enjoyed resort

Thought overall view if resort was really nice, scenery was breath taking and staff were amazingly friendly and helpful. A bit dis appointed with beach but that's hard to control, just like the rainy weather. Trip was relaxing and got to enjoy time with my sister and sistet-in-law!!!!

Sandals Royal Plantation: Sandals Whitehouse-excellent

This is our second time a Whitehouse, overall it was as great as the first trip in 2010, the staff, resturants, club room accommodation, and pools were excellent as before. We did notice a difference with the beach, but were advised that storm errosion has damaged the beach significantly over the past few years.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: Very Good Resort

We just returned from a week at the Sandals Ochi (formerly Sandals Grande Riviera). Sandals is doing a great job of improving the property - there is some construction going on, but it did not interfere with our vacation at all. We stayed in the lowest category of rooms in the great house, and opted to not have butler service. The room size and layout was comparable to a higher end North American chain, with nicer furniture and a balcony - not especially luxurious, but the it was clean and comfo [... read more]rtable. The view was not great - looked over the golf-cart parking. We were almost over the lobby, and initially we were concerned about noise, but through the night it was fine. We are early risers, so the early morning activity did not bother us. If we wanted to sleep in, it probably would have. The food was very good in most of the restaurants - Reef was our favorite spot for dinner. We also really enjoyed the French restaurant and Soy. Transportation between the 2 sides of the property was quick and easy - we never waited more than 5 minutes for a ride. The watersports were amazing. We never had to wait for a paddleboard, kayak or sailboat. We did the snorkeling tour once - we are experienced at this and were a little disappointed with how little there was to see, but we ventured out by ourselves from shore (near the Ochi Beach Club) and had an enjoyable time. I would recommend that only strong swimmers go beyond the roped off area. The beach is divided into 3 areas - we spent much of our time near the watersports centre where there were always chairs in the shade, or in the water near the beach club - not much shade at that end. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. Almost everyone was friendly, helpful and very pleasant. Unfortunately I cannot say the same for many of the guests - many of them were rude and demanding and displayed poor manners. The employees never showed anything but professional behavior when dealing with those guests, for which I applaud them.

Sandals Royal Bahamian: Stunning!!!!!!!

Wonderful staff, amazing food, great views- overall amazing! The beaches were beautiful and the private island was a wonderful getaway- there were no pushy vendors which was a nice treat. We were not made to wear wristbands so everyone was treated the same.

Sandals South Coast: Beautiful Resort and Excellent Service

The Sandals experience came through once again! The resort is clean and well maintained. The room was the nicest of the Sandal's resorts we've stayed at. Food was fantastic and the staff worked really hard to accommodate dietary restrictions. The resort is a bit more isolated that I like, but that was a very minor thing.

Sandals Emerald Bay: A truly wonderful vacation !!!

Our stay at Emerald Bay was amazing!!!! From the moment you first drive up to the resort and see the beautiful grounds, pools and ocean, it takes your breath away. Duvann and his grounds crew take great pride in the resort- it is spectacular. Our butlers Trevor and Alvin did everything they could to make our stay stress free and relaxed. She takes personal pride in her work. The restaurants were amazing, especially the French and Italian. Breakfasts at the Bahama Bay were always delicious and we looked forward to the daily" theme buffet" as well. We enjoyed our afternoon treats at the Cafe. The beach and ocean were amazing!!! We really enjoyed the quiet pool where you could have quiet chats, read or have a nap. The staff made us feel like we were very special and did whatever they could to make our stay wonderful. The Soon Come Back evening was wonderful !!!! We loved our stay at Emerald Bay and look forward to going back again.

Sandals Negril: amazing honeymoon

The booking of the trip was flawless and so convenient. The trip itself was amazing. We will be returning. It's beautiful and the staff are so amazing. I would highly recommend this resort to anyone!.

Sandals Inn: Perfect Getaway Oasis

Sandals Carlyle is a unique gem in the Sandals chain of resorts in Montego Bay Jamaica. Having stayed Sandals Montego Bay resort in our "youth" some 25 years ago, we wanted to return to the area to at least partially relive the memories of that time and to create some new ones in a slightly different but equally luxurious environment. Sandals Carlyle did not disappoint . Sandals neighboring Montego Bay and Royal Caribbean resorts, however, have suffered from some over-development that has taken  [... read more]away their attractiveness for us as places to base ourselves on vacation in Jamaica. The Carlyle "Inn" unlike the others, provides a wonderfully intimate (50 or so rooms) and relaxing place from which to base exploration and enjoyment of this and the two much larger and more fully "equipped" luxury-inclusive couples only resorts at Mo-bay and the Royal Caribbean. Both of these resorts are less than 20 minutes away on the free hourly shuttle to and from the Carlyle. At both you enjoy all of the luxury included features, and facilities, beaches, restaurants, bars, water sports and excellent services that all resident Sandals guests enjoy . We spent 10 days taking advantage of all three resorts including more excellent evening gourmet dining opportunities at all the resorts than we could possibly do in that time. After 25 years away we found the Mo-Bay resort to be as equally luxurious , and providing excellent dining, activities and services , but much more "lively" than we remember or would really want to experience all day and all evening now. There are many more rooms, more restaurants and expanded facilities to accommodate more guests today, but less "room" on the beach, at the pools, in the more casual eating areas and around the bars and other facilities. Sandals Royal Caribbean is somewhat smaller, equally luxurious and well-serving, but similarly more busy than it was in the past. Unlike 25 years ago we experienced waiting for seats at beach-side dining facilities and bars , some scrambling for available beach and pool lounges and general overcrowding around the larger resorts in comparison to our earlier experiences. That is not to say that excellent service, quiet dinners in the excellent restaurants cannot be readily enjoyed at these. It's just that you have to make reservations ahead of time and search out the very few quieter areas that are available at these larger resorts . The Carlyle is for us a much more attractive Sandals option providing the highest quality in all-inclusive services. When not venturing out to the bigger resorts during the day or to their restaurants in the evening, we really enjoyed the quiet relaxation of a day by the pool and around the grounds of the Carlyle. While the beach is a tiny public one across the street, which can be busy with local residents particularly on weekends and holidays, the Carlyle's pool area was never crowded and we found to be very quiet, well serviced and much more enjoyable than the busier pool areas at the other resorts. The two Carlyle on-site gourmet restaurants, the Nibbles lunch and late night snack restaurant.and the wonderful "Sunset Bar" were always welcoming and excellently served by the friendly staff. The meals and bar services were always exceptional and served with a personal touch that the other resorts didn't always provide because of their size. No problems finding a seat here, even though the hotel was fully occupied . Carlyle staff at every level are simply magnificent . Whether it was a friendly chat with the gardener about his amazing floral displays or with the chefs about their delicious international and Jamaican creations, bartenders about special cocktails , service staff, resident photographer ,or security guards... all made sure that everything was just right all the time. It was a wonderful vacation. 5 minutes from the airport,10 minutes by free shuttle to all-inclusive facilities at 2 other Sandals resorts in Montego Bay. Great value great fun and true relaxation. We will be returning to the Carlyle as soon as we can.

Sandals Grande St Lucian: Beautiful Resort

LOVED the resort and the staff. The only thing that REALLY put me off.... was upon arrival having to fill out an ipad with all of my particulars...flight #, passport, departure date etc. etc. quite lengthy) Very frustrating! When I arrive, I expect all the details (with a few exceptions that I would be happy to provide at the front desk)to be already entered at the front desk. I just want a welcome drink and to be able to soak in the new atmosphere. Paper work or computer work... NO!!!!! That is [... read more] what I left behind. It started the vacation off on a very negative note for me. Perhaps have these stupid ipads as an option for those who love them, but for me, I want to simply check in with the front desk and begin my holiday sipping on a drink no where near any computer device! Also....live music is needed in the lobby especially during happy hour. The lobby is a bit of a dead zone which is a shame because it is quite beautiful. Still...a really lovely place and I would go again in a heartbeat.

Sandals South Coast: Birthday in Jamaica

Celebrated my wife's birthday in Jamaica, Sandals Whitehouse resort. It was truly a excellent resort, that lived up to my expectations. We had a walkout room in the Italian village. (excellent location, close to the beach, pool and all the restaurants.) The service was excellent, An effort by most staff to really make our stay as enjoyable as possible. A special thank you to O'Neil, a lifeguard on the beach who set me up with beach chairs near our room, and made a "Happy Birthday" message for my [... read more] wife at our chairs. Really demonstrated excellent customer service, and great character. The airport and the drive in are time consuming. Customs at the airport was over an hour by itself. Sandals has a private room for arrivals where they collect baggage and offer drinks, very nice greeting. The bus ride is long. 1.5 hours!! Personally It's too long. After 3.5 hour flight, 1 hour in customs, you don't want to spend that long in traffic and on potholed roads. From the moment you arrive, the staff make a special effort to ensure your comfort and satisfaction. The room was clean, comfortable and well stocked. Well Done! The grounds were very well maintained, and for myself I enjoyed the well equipped gym. I arranged a private dinner on the beach, where we were personally escorted to our table in a Cabana and waited on exclusively. What an great experience. All around an excellent experience, I would definitely recommend it to any couple who wishes some private time and be treated like adults.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: When the renos are done, this will be 5 stars

It was our second trip to this resort but we stayed on the hillside, not the seaside. The jack hammering was intrusive and downright awful at times. Other work includes painting and woodworking which of course are not really a big deal. If I had to do it again, I would go to the seaside. It's an individual thing, but I didn't find the butler service to be exceptional; we used it mostly to get around the resort which is not an issue if you are staying on the seaside. I suspect the renovations wi [... read more]ll be done by mid-May and it will look spectacular. The food is delightful; lots of healthy options, including for a Ceiliac. Top shelf liquor is available without extra charge (to an extent), you just have to ask for it. If you are looking for high-end wine, you will have to pay for that. If you are a golfer, bring your own clubs; you can play three times with a cart and caddy for $150 per person. Renting clubs is expensive though; approximately $50 per round. The golf course is about a 20 minute drive away and the shuttle goes every hour. If you are a quick player, you can get a round in 3 hours. (so, get up early, go play and be back on time for lunch and then beach/pool time) The beach is non-existent (almost) other than the Ochi Beach club which is really fun.

Sandals Ochi Beach Resort: An absolute beauty....

This resort is absolutely gorgeous. It is a 90 minute drive from the airport which to us was a fun ride but I noticed some people clearly had not done their research and were moaning and groaning about it. This is not the resorts fault, it is your own :) We stayed in the butler village which felt like a little home in the hill. The room was clean and we had a little patio to sit out on. There is definitely no shortage on places to eat. I liked that there wasn't a typical "all inclusive buffet" with mediocre food. All of our meals were amazing, but we didn't bother with the Japanese or French restaurant. When in Jamaica, we love caribbean food so we preferred dinner at the Manor. The portions aren't too big so you can try a lot of different things. At night there are a lot of things going on, loved the beach party and another night had a chocolate buffet party. If you go in with the mindset to have fun and enjoy yourself, you won't be disappointed.
