Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful beach, fantastic times!

This hotel/resort itself was decent, a tad outdated but it's Cuba. Oceanview suite was the way to go! The BEACH was incredible, warm water, cold drinks and smiling people. Great value - would go back.

Hotel Los Cactus: Relaxing & quiet

Nice resort, grounds very well kept, clean. It is a little dated, the rooms were clean. On our first day the air conditioning was not working and we requested a move to another room which they accommodated. It is hit and miss on the hot water. Hotel Bella Costa: Awesome Vacation

Clean environment, very friendly staff, really good variety of food. When visiting Cuba, people should not expect the same type of accomodations as visiting the USA..Be sure to carry your electricity converters.

Hotel Los Cactus: Not so all inclusive

The good: The beach, the weather, and the people. The bad: The food. The ugly: power interruptions, hot water shortages, toilets backing up in the dining hall. Scuba and snorkelling NOT included & very expensive.

Rooms on the Beach Negril: Great location!

Small resort right in the middle of the beach. All the staff were friendly. The rooms were very clean. Make sure to see kelvin at the bar. By the end of the trip everyone knew your name. The continental breakfast was nothing special but itwas enough to get you to lunch

Memories Jibacoa: Wonderful Vacation

This was our first visit to Cuba and we had a wonderful vacation. We were with another couple who had been to Cuba on a couple of other occasions and they said that this was the best resort so far. Always something to do (or not if you chose to just relax). We all agreed that we would definitely return to this resort as it was perfect for what we were looking for.

Rooms on the Beach Negril: Good resort. Great location. Great staff.

Hotel was kept very nice. Grounds, beach, staff was great. Beach access was wonderful. Grounds were always being worked on and were very tidy. Any concerns you would have were address quickly by staff. Would suggest refrigerators be available for all rooms.

Hotel Bella Costa: Comfortable relaxing resort

Hotel needs some TLC. Grounds were well kept. Beach needed some attention to remove debri. To catch the double decker bus to varadero it was at least a mile walk. Food was good and there was plenty of choices. A La Carte excellent. Great indoor lounge area. Rooms kept very clean

Hotel Los Cactus: We had such a great time!

My husband and I had an excellent time at a good resort. It was our first trip to Cuba and it didn't disappoint. This resort is older than some, it's small, clean and has nice gardens. There are many repeat customers. You see the staff hugging people they've clearly been seeing on and off for years. We made some great connections with staff members while we were there too. This made for a nice quiet resort in the evenings (we still partied at the lobby bar and disco so there's evening fun to be had if you want it). Our room was nice. The beach was great. Lots of pelicans. The food was better than we expected given reports of what food was like in Cuba. The only minor complaint was that sometimes the food in the hot trays at the buffet wasn't exactly hot. We visited all three a la carte restaurants. They were all a bit different but all decent. I enjoyed the Cuban one the most. The Italian one would probably be the closest to tasting like home. Make sure you have room for all the food they provide at this 4 course meal. The beach grill has hot dogs and hamburgers if you don't want to go up to the buffet at lunch. Who knew shredded cabbage was as good on a hamburger as lettuce? You can also sit on a shaded deck that has a great ocean view from there. Another bar with a hot tub also has a wonderful ocean view. There's a sandwich place in the lobby that opens at 5:00pm if you're hungry before the 7:00-7:30 dinner seating. I especially liked their chicken sandwich. You can get a fancy coffee (Spanish, Irish, Breezes etc.) at the coffee bar before you go to dinner. My husband went snorkeling. There's a reef not far from shore you can get to via catamaran. Lots of fish to see including barracuda. We did the historical Havana day trip. It was super informative and gave a good overview of the area and some important sites in Havana. A bit more time on the bus than I'd have liked but well worth the trip in to the city. We've been to other places that had more bells and whistles but I we had just as excellent a time at Superclub Breezes.

Hotel Bella Costa: Beautiful beach and amazing staff

Bella Costs is a grand old gal that, like many places in Cuba, could use a little sprucing up. But it is clean and the staff are super friendly and very efficient! The pool was a little chilly (colder than the ocean) but very well maintained. We mainly stayed on the right side of the beach which meant fewer people (beach is a little "narrower" there) and the bathroom, bar and restaurant were very close. It  [... read more]didn't vary much from day-to-day but there was a lot to choose from and after two weeks I was still trying new dishes and combos. The beach was gorgeous! 95% talcum powder sand and crystal clear waters. If I had one major complaint it would be that the sheets didn't fit and there were no mattress covers. The maid actually added an extra sheet after I remade the bed one night to ensure the top was well tucked in. The service makes up for the shortcomings!

Breezes Bahamas: Lots of fun

This Resort is a lot of fun for adults, lot's of daytime activities and a very active night life. The food was great and the daytime pool side awesome! The rooms were outdated but definitely functional. All in all we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend for a let loose kinda vacation.

Memories Jibacoa: Very Nice and ´cozy' resort

The grounds were very well kept with a lot of matures trees, very nice. The factures that it is a small resort, everything was close by, so you did not have far to go for meals, or the beach, or the lobby, etc...

Memories Jibacoa: Very nice scenic resort

This is a small resort in a very scenic setting: small mountain range on one side, ocean on the other. The easy connection from the main building with restaurants and lobby bar is one easy straight path. As the rooms ( on 2 levels ) are on either side of the path ( garden or pool side ) nothing is very far. The grounds are well kept, and we ( 4 persons ) were in large newly decorated rooms which were kept very clean. The dining room and centre and side outdoor terraces are also well kept and enj [... read more]oyable for dining. Our favourite for a fish lunch was the RANCHON beach restaurant . Possible drawback: At the JIBACOA the strong winds can bring up the red flag ( too often ) and the Portuguese Man of War onto the beach from the ocean. This happened and kept us out of the water for too long. A huge plus: For a secluded all inclusive resort it is easy to arrange a private trip by classic car with driver and guide to La Havana - only 1 hour one way. Also enjoyable: the "mountain" climb with resort view and hike led by resort staff.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Good resort.

The beach was very nice, however if you want a long beach to walk on this is not it. There is not enough shade on the beach or pool area. The sun is intense, thank goodness for the trade winds. The food was average, the a la carte restaurants were really good one night not so much on another. The rooms were renovated three years ago, however do not look like it. The service was on and off. There is lots of room for improvement which apparently they are working on. The Sun Club is not worth it. T [... read more]he rooms are identical to the one I was in and even smaller, your romantic dinner is a few feet away from the rest of us. The so called $200.00 bonuses we did not use due to limitations, $60.00 towards dinner on the beach which was $150.00, four $10.00 coupons towards wine at $30.00 a bottle and $100.00 at the spa but only $40.00 at a time towards services priced at $125.00 or over. This was an average resort which we all feel we paid to much for $2076.00 per person the week of Feb. 21-28/16 (travelled with another couple and met one there). We made the best of things and enjoyed our week thanks to great friends.

Hotel Bella Costa: Wonderful!

We just spent 10 days at Hotel Bella Costa. Food was plentiful, lots to choose from. Beach absolutely amazing. Rooms are older, the only complaint would be the bedding used. Queen size sheets on King Bed. New comforters should be purchased as well. Met many wonderful people who are repeat customers and hopefully this will be the case with us in the upcoming year.

Hotel Los Cactus: Okay resort

We just got back from Breezes. It is an older resort and rather tired rooms but they are kept very clean. The people are extremely friendly and very eager to help in any way. The food was very, very bland and I found a hard time finding something to eat that I liked except for breakfast which was very good. The other meals in the buffet were very, very unappetizing. I realize this is a very poor country but thought I would be able to find something to fill up on. I was hungry a good deal of the time. A word of caution when changing money at the front desk. Make sure you double check your money before you leave as we heard several stories of people being overcharged. One couple changed $200.00 twice and received only $100.00 pesos back. That is a charge of $100.00 for exchange. I also changed $155.00 and only received 78 pesos. The math doesn't add up and it is a total ripoff with no recourse.They will never tell you the exchange rate, only what they will give you. I have nothing good to say about our Air Transat rep there. She wasn't there half the time and when she was, she was only there to push tours and excursions on us.Not helpful at all!!! I would not go back...at least not in the next few years. Maybe if the Americans get there, things will greatly improve.

Sunscape Curacao Resort: Disappointing Stay.

My husband and I started off this vacation with high expectations. We had heard wonderful things about Curacao, and the Sunscape Resort. We have travel extensively and generally only consider ourselves particular about food. The highlights of the trip included the terrific weather daily and a number of great staff at the resort. This resort provided a less than average food experience. The buffet is small with limited selection each day, and sadly the options available are mediocre at best (wit [... read more]h the exception of the abundance of Dutch cheeses on the buffet at each meal, which was a saving grace). The a la carte restaurants also provided a less than enjoyable experience. I understand the intent of a no reservation policy, however, this led to long waits for the restaurants or early lines for an early sitting. Neither option is really ideal. Once inside the restaurants the wait for average food was long. We did not have a single remarkable meal all week. The Grill menu include a good filet, which I would recommend, and a less than decent chicken dish with a canned mushroom sauce of some sort... not good. The most enjoyable meal was the beach bbq lunch which we enjoyed from our beach chairs. We did enjoy the Asian restaurant, however, this experience is very dependent on the person working the grill table you are assigned too. All in all, the food experience alone will guarantee that we do not return to this resort. The other most disappointing issue was the evening entertainment. Less than average, limited options, ends early etc. However, the most challenging piece of this is the lack of seating in the common area "core" of the resort where entertainment is held. More than one night we found ourselves missing the entertainment because there were not enough seats in any of the common areas including the Core Zone, Cafe or lobby bar. Frustrating. Sadly this resort did not live up to its billing. We will not be returning or recommending this experience t others.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Short trip but amazing staff

Front Desk people need to improve on people skill and smile , the rest of the Staff were amazing, just my Son and i went for only 4 days to strictly play golf and thanks to Laura Spry from trip central organizing this trip on a very short notice (2 days) took some amazing pics , showed them to my wife and now we are planning our next trip here. Hotel Los Cactus: Great to escape winter

All facilities are close. No great distances to walk. Appealing pool. Interesting animation. Good shows every evening. Good meals, but after two weeks they may become repetitious. Still, great variety of food, likely to satisfy all.

Memories Jibacoa: Very Nice, Quite and secluded resort

This is a very nice resort if all you have in mind is to kick back and relax. Mostly mature people, no "Loud" music or rumpus teens getting drunk and making big scenes. Great swimming/snorkeling and as always - "Great" "Cuban" "Hosts" who seem to always be smiling!
