Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Had a good time!

Beautiful resort and beautiful walk to the beach. amazing staff. Could use some updates and cleaning. the pictures of rooms look more amazing then they are.The beds were quite hard but the pillows were amazing. Placed in nice and safe area. Food was alright. buffet was good however the mexican resteraunt was a big let down.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Great spot!

My partner and I really enjoyed this hotel. It’s beautiful, modern, small and adult only! We had a lovely time for our week long stay and came back very very relaxed. The food at the beach front restaurant was the best of the whole resort and after a night of pina coladas and mojitos, the 24/hr room service was a nice touch. The mattresses were a bit hard but the pillows were great! The entertainment team was also great, very friendly and the nightly performances were full of talent! As two le [... read more]sbians, we were slightly uncomfortable at times because of some of the male entertainment staff but I suppose this is to be expected in the Caribbean. Otherwise, great spot and would recommend anyone to visit!

Viva V Samana by Wyndham: Very Zen Resort!

Very clean everywhere & well maintained; rooms, restaurants, toilettes, sidewalks , grounds, pool & beach! Relaxing resort; soft, music at the pool / no loud music at the beach. We always choose an all-inclusive / adults only resorts the week between X-Mas & New Years so we have a great party to attend! This one was no different; it was a great party! Points to improve; staff at lobby should be more knowledgeable /aware of what's happening in their resort. ie: New Year's Eve party - on the 30th NO Lobby Staff knew what kind of party it was going to be, where, how , start of festivities.....Finally on the morning of the 31st they put up a board with menus ...but that's it....huuummm! asked for activities & if the TV/Screen wasn't working no one knew or had the info ...you finally figure it out if you happen to pass by - good thing this resort isn't big! Aside from Lobby staff in need of being more in tuned with their facilities, everyone was pleasant, polite and respectful with smiles! p.s. I would recommend the Person in charge of room cleaning take time to check their staff work. EVERY DAY in our room either a glass was missing on dirty! if you have a coffee machine, it needs coffee & not 2 cups & 1 saucer ??? sometimes we had 1 face*towel & sometimes none. We asked for the patio screen to be fix 3 times - each time they came right away to fix it BUT never check what happens when you open the glass door!.......it didn't fit! and last, the cleaning lady NEVER broomed the patio - she would place the couch pillows but nothing else.... Doesn't need much for this resort to become a 5 star ! simply better follow-up with staff!

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Outstanding Resort

The Grounds and beach were amazing and entertainment was great. The rooms were just like the picture that you see from sunwing. We had the Amnesa Jr Suite which super clean every day. The foam party that they on Saturdays is crazy fun and great food. I wish we would have booked for two weeks instead of just one.

Hotel rooms are nice, not wow but ok, Food was good, Entertainment are awsome, friendly nice and fun, The beach party was the best , so much fun, The foam party also lots of fun We took a zip line tour that i wouldnt go again, almost all day in the bus , 3 stops but very short

The resort was great. The activities group were amazing. The food was good too. Loved the a la carte and no reservations The rooms were spacious and clean. Only downside would be the fact that no rooms have beach view or really much of any view Keep in mind it is a small resort. My type but not everyone’s. Also the resort is back from the beach. We landed at 1115 and as we had no checked baggage we opted for the 35 Usd cab ride and were in our room by noon. Also keep in mind it wasn’t prime time. Not all restaurants were open which made total sense for the occupancy level also not sure how pool area would be at full occupancy. Golf course right across the street if that’s of interest

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Had a Great Week at Viva Wyndham!

We really enjoyed our stay at Viva Wyndham. Our suite and the hotel grounds were clean and well maintained (although the beds are very hard), restaurants, bars and buffet were delicious and well stocked and we had no significant issues to contend with. Staff are not as friendly/smiling as other places we have been to but very attentive and polite. LOTS of great activities everyday at the resort and the Animation team are amazing - so happy, energetic and friendly. We did a bike ride, yoga, aqua-sizes in the pool, beach volleyball, fun group activities and went to the shows at night. Beach and pool were clean and have lots of chairs available plus access to food/drinks. Was quite windy with strong waves the whole week so we didn't utilize the kayaks/paddle boards. Only complaint would be the constant hawkers trying to sell you things every 5 mins...we understand it was low season and it would be nice if there was a section they couldn't come into on the beach! Front desk was a bit disorganized and we weren't sure why we couldn't confirm our late checkout until the day we were leaving (they should know who is coming to the resort days in advance right?) but finally Jose was able to take care of us so we had a great last day! Nearby Mall (5 min walk) is great and very convenient. Prices were very fair and negotiable and we bought our souvenirs there.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Amazing Resort

The hotel was small and intimate, got to know many staff members, who were always pleasant and helpful. The rooms are very big compared to other resorts i have been to. The pools were clean and well maintained and the beach was lovely and very long. The food was varied and plentiful, with 4 a la cartes and the main buffet, I felt like I was going out to a high class restaurant every evening. The entertainment group did a good job, we really enjoyed the Halloween performance and the young lady who sang so beautifully on our last evening.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Quiet amazing resort

Very clean all over. The rooms are spacious and very clean. Didn’t see a bug out there. They had new beach lounge chairs. The a la carte restaurants are very good and the buffet had a good variety. This is my second time too this resort and planing again to return next year for 2 weeks again.

Delta Hotels Anaheim Garden Grove: Amazing experience

The hotel was clean, staffs were very nice and helpful. Over all experience were great. The pool was very clean, and enjoyed the hot tub. Very close to Disney land, surrounded by target and CVS. Great value.

Viva Heavens by Wyndham: Fabulous resort

We went on vacation to this resort our first time in Puerto Plata the hotel staff are very friendly and treat you like family, the Annimation team was by far the best entertainment we have seen they are very good at getting people to engage in the games and the night shows were phenomenal , the food was great , the grounds were kept nice the bathroom and rooms were very clean. Viva Heavens by Wyndham: A tropical paradise

My boyfriend and I booked this trip at the end of summer to relax and enjoy after a crazy summer of working, and I am so glad I choose this resort to do so. For someone who travels to a lot of all inclusive resorts I did enjoy how welcomed we truly felt here. You can tell this group loves their job and has passion. Without the animation team our experience wouldn’t have been as memorable. The performances they put on every night showed their talent and dedication to making people entertained and happy! They deserve lots of credit For all they do at the resort. As for the beach I was a bit concerned based off of other reviews stating how far the walk is and how there is a lot of seaweed. But I didn’t believe both to be true at all. The beach is taken care of and had excellent shaded areas due to the palm trees. Although at times there are a lot of vendors, as long as you are nice to them they will treat you with respect. For someone who loves beaches I can say It was picture perfect scenery with the famous mountain within the distance it makes you never want to leave. The water wasn’t as clear as a usual tropical spot but did enjoy the waves and long walks. The food we thought was great! Highly recommend the tuna at blend. We got to try all the restaurants and enjoyed it all, our only complaint was portion sizes could be a bit bigger. The buffet offered a good amount of selection, if you aren’t a picky eater you won’t have problems. We were big fans of the snack bar at the beach. We had nachos, fresh fruit and wood oven pizza on the beach while enjoying the beautiful view almost everyday! Our lovely friend Agusto was another great experience we had at the beach, he was always pleasant and happy to serve drinks at the beach bar! Loved his personality! As for the rooms the amnesia suite is a must! Originally booked the bliss room to only find out there was no balcony and the room was very small in comparison to what was shown in pictures. But overall upgrade made a huge difference as seemed to be more maintained and fresher looking and actually had a balcony! The whole property was kept clean from early sunrise to sunset. The workers were constantly cleaning the facilities and it definitely showed. Very pleased with the standards they had. Overall Viva Heavens did live up To our expectations. Already missing it and hoping to go back soon! A great place that gives you that “home away from home” feel! Such a beautiful country with amazing people, Puerto plata is by far one of my favourite spots now as well as Viva heavens!

Beautiful area, staff is really interactive and friendly. Food is amazing 5 different restaurants that have different cultures food. Excursions are fun and exciting. Would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a fun time!

The room and the grounds were very clean and constantly being looked after - well maintained - the service was excellent - the beach was a 10 minute walk but was good to exercise with all the good food and drinks we had - only down side was they would never call us when we asked for a wake up call - thanks to our agent - she was helpful in helping us make this decision - we were hoping for Punta Cana - she recommended this resort - so glad she did - excellent decision

The resort was very clean & the staff & entertainment was very good.The staff at the pool kept us entertained & were very pleasant & warm towards us.The beach area was wonderful & lots of chairs available.Having terrific weather also made our stay much more satisfying.This was our 1st all inclusive resort and we will probably be back.
