Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Great Resort

we started our stay off in the tropical room. Pretty basic with a view of the parking lot. We upgraded to the ocean view which was much better for 5 peso. staff was friendly. Would not recommend the Italian restaurant.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Good and Bad

The beach was beautiful! The pool area was nice! The food was ok. The 2 rooms we had were awful! Although there were other buildings on the resort that looked like they maybe nicer at least on the outside. 20 % of the staff was good 40% of the staff was ok 40% of the staff were very slow and not friendly. The staff on the beach were very hesitant to help people with paddle boats and kayaks. Too many panhandlers on the beach and parts of the resorts. It was cheap so I guess you get what you pay for :)

Club Amigo Mayanabo: RESTFUL PLACE

This hotel is a 2.5 star hotel. Food is Cuban and basic. The property is kept very clean. Constant attention is given to the grounds and they are always adding little extras too improve the property.. All amenities are central here so you can not get lost and don't need too go far for anything. All of the employees are very helpful and kind. The pool is large and there is a kiddie pool as well. You can get alcoholic drinks until 2:00 AM. 24 hour snacks are not great and there is not a great  [... read more]variety but there is always something too eat. There are local public discos/clubs next door so if you are a light sleeper, bring ear plugs as the music plays until 3 or 4:00 AM every day. I have been close to 40 times and will keep returning because of the low key atmosphere. If you are a foodie and like large elegant rooms, don't go here. You pay for what you get. If you want 5 star, pay the price and go 5 star. This is home away from home. Very quaint hotel.

Club Amigo Mayanabo: Nice resort. Not for the young.

The resort is older but slowly being upgraded. Everything worked in my room. The water was hot enough each day for a good shower. The pool is clean with plenty of space for everyone. The food is plentiful and decent. The fruits are fresh, the deserts are tasty and fresh as well. The staff is very good and very friendly. However this is typical in Cuba. When you go to Cuba don't have high expectations and you won't be disappointed. It's not been ruined by North American culture. There is always lots to do. Spend time at the beach or go snorkeling or try your luck at Sail surfing. Leave the resort and go back in time. All in all I had a good time and experience again.

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Okay Resort

The resort was sold as 3.5 stars. It was not! The few problems I had, the staff was very cooperative. Food was what Cuba offer, but, I did not loose a pound! Coffee? Nothing like Cayo Coco or Santa Maria. I was very disappointed with coffee. Weak! They did not use good quality coffee. Beer, chips, hot dogs? They ran at least 4 times (or more) while we were there. One day it was for the w [... read more]hite ones without cover no pay...the next day 2 pesos no matter which chair we picked! Drinks at the beach? You pay! Excursions? Great staff and lots of fun. Did I enjoy? Sure. Will we go back? No. For the first time it was okay. Was it what we expected for the money we paid? No. I've paid same amount last year for a 4 stars - 100% better looking and coffee. A few staff with an attitude but overall pretty good.

Carisol los Corales: Very Nice

Really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff was very pleasant and the bathrooms were very very nice in the rooms. Food is pretty much what you would expect from Cuba though the à la cart restaurants were not too bad. Beach was OK. The pool area was awesome the DJ play great music . Really enjoyed the nightly show us and there are always opportunities to take tours to see Santiago de Cuba as well as other places in the area.

Lots of good improvements been many times this time noticed lots more servers in bars.. New lobby bar is very nice. The bar staff very friendly .food was good lots of places to eat maids are wonderful..more fun entertainment around main pool cant wait to go back next year see what else is new as lots of work continuing definately our home swsu from home..travelled outside resort several times people are friendly and its very safe

Carisol los Corales: Excellent resort

Its our first time to visit Cuba. Hotel are clean some employees are friendly. Except for the bed that give us too much bites from ticks. Food are not bad, nice pool and beach. Bring Extra old clothes

This was our third visit to this hotel. Go with an open mind and you will enjoy. The beach is beautiful and the staff wonderful. Our villa room was always clean and the ocean view is spectacular. Met some people that have been to this resort 48 times😀

Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Very disappointed with this resort!

My daughter and I was placed in a room the first night that was a DUMP!! (We could not get moved to another room till the second night.)The tap in the shower wouldn't turn off, and it took staff hours to come fix it. The bed looked like it was 40 years old, the mattress was lumpy. The walls were dirty. We woke up to birds trying to get in through a hole at the side of the AC in the window. I won't mention how bad the food was since I'm aware that this is common in Cuba. Don't let the affordable price for this resort sway you. IT'S NOT WORTH IT.

Carisol los Corales: 2nd year at Carisol Los Corales

We have just returned from our 2nd trip to this hotel. I can not begin to express how Great the staff at this hotel have made our vacation again. From celebrating my grandsons birthday to the wonderful Valentine's dinner. Meladie.. Francisco... Yolanis.. Just to name a few should all recieve awatds for how they treat people. Thsnks so much... Carisol los Corales: Great time

Even though this a three star resort, the service you receive is 5 star. The staff at the resort will go out of their way to help you. The grounds are beautiful. Don't expect a lot of the food. It is Cuba and their selection is limited. We woke up every morning to an omelette freshly cooked. Try the Cuban a la carte. The beach is a natural beach so a lot of rocks, coral and sea grass. It is a 5 star resort show. Overall one of the best vacations for the money.

This was our fourth vacation at los corales and we had a great time as always at the resort. Staff are always pleasant and willing to help in any way. We will be back again next year. We did find the mosquitos to be very bad this time so bring lots of insect repellent

Everything you would expect from a resort in Cuba. Good food, typical room. Lots to see and do here. Great coffee. Get out and see Cuba while you are here. Lots of pools, bars and restaurants. A la carts are great.

The resort as advertised, a 3 star. Food was ok. Grounds were ok. Disappointments were, hard bed, felt like sleeping on a box spring. Nothing stocked in the fridge like water. Had to pay for the safe. No iron. But I guesss that’s why it is a 3 star.

Club Amigo has the wonderful staff , we feel very welcomed there. All employees are friendly always a smiles , great beach, beautifully kept grounds, very safe, always something good to eat and drinks. We never had any issues at all with our room, food or drinks. We stay in villa section, view from balcony was amazing, Maria our housekeeper is wonderful person. Thank you all for a beautiful vacation!

Hotel Caracol: Resort was great but the people make it spectacular

The overall grounds and room was fairly clean people hard working,friendly also entertainers was phenomenal so friendly, l would definitely recommend to my friends and family.l would like also to give a big thanks to Sanchez,Lizette ,mishele,Juan Carlos for making our vacation extra special they are just the best. Will be going back for sure.

Great place to put hole into our winter. Great value for price. Beach needs clean up more often, lots of plastic debri and weeds. Friendly staff with special shout out for Santiago for exceptional service and personality.

The room was clean, everything was working properly, but there was no mosquito net on the window. Nutrition is normal, good milk, fish, burgers, but the tea was just mint and linden, there was no black. The sea is shallow, the beach was not always cleaned from sea grass, but perhaps it was useful for natural inhalation, it contains iodine.
