Excellence Riviera Cancun: Great place

This resort is as good as it gets. From the time you first arrive, to the time you leave, you will be well taken care of. The rooms are very well set up. ( I would recommend a swim up). Views are all good. Bar fridge well stocked and refilled daily. The grounds at Excellence are very clean, well looked after. And all restaurants are first rate. There is always something to do here. Nightly shows, games at the pool and beach, you are never without something going on of interest. Excellence Playa Mujeres: Beautiful Resort

The resort was just beautiful. The white sand beach was amazing. The grounds well kept. Fun activities. The nightly shows were very entertaining. The service and friendliness of the staff was out of this world. We would go back next year in a heartbeat.

Excellence Punta Cana: Gorgeous Beach and Fab Resort!

Had a great time at this fabulous resort - the beach was beautiful and long - rough waves but that's okay with us. Lots of place to relax here and no fighting for chairs at beach or pool. Staff were friendly and helpful, always with a smile. Premium liquors, great martinis! A wonderful relaxing time here, would def. recommend!

Excellence Punta Cana: Perfect Resort

It has been our third year at The Excellence so I don't think I need to say anymore. Would I go back, absolutely. The service, food and atmosphere are very relaxing. It is a great place to get away and everyone is very friendly.

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellent Resort

This was our first trip to the Excellence. We have travelled many times to the D.R. and this was by far the best trip that we had. The food and service could not have been better. Can't wait to go again.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Wonderful, relaxing, fun vacation

We were a group of 4 female cousins who travelled to the Excellence from January 15-25, 2016. We absolutely loved the resort and the staff! We have vacationed at the Excellence Punta Cana and the Excellence Riviera Cancun, and while all of the Excellence properties are wonderful and offer similar amenities, the Playa Mujeres site was my favourite. Our rooms were in Building 7, Floor 3 – and this was perfect for me. Yes, you do hear the music from the Café Kafe, but that ends at 11pm. On the evenings when we did not attend the show, we enjoyed sitting on our balconies, having a drink and listening to the live music. We booked the catamaran/snorkeling tour to Isla Mujeres through Seasons Tours (located onsite) and had a great day. We did not rent a golf cart to tour the Island, but just stayed in the downtown area doing a bit of shopping, sitting on the amazing beach and sampling the local food. The Excellence resort offers many daily activities, but I was there to relax and only participated in the bicycle tour and poolside bingo (low skill games match my skills :)). I meant to try the rifle shooting and archery, and I had planned on touring the Kitchen but I just never got around to it. One of my cousins booked the water treatment at the Spa and she loved it. I always enjoy breakfast in the Buffet restaurant, but we did try breakfast at The Grill and through Room Service. The food was great and varied. The Aroma (coffee) Bar is new and was extremely popular. We were given wonderful service everywhere, but these people made a special impression on us. Vilma, Hotel Concierge – promptly answered all of my questions and emails prior to our arrival. Byron – the Porter who helped us with our luggage on arrival and departure. Amerani and Erick – Concierge for Building 7 were both helpful and attentive – excellent customer service. Cesar and Hugo at the Martini bar – always smiling. We nicknamed Cesar the acrobatic bartender  Diego, Vivianna and Cecilia at the Café Kafe bar. Jose, Oscar and Julianna for their great service at the Sol bar. Freddie and Angel at The Grill. Alberto and Rigo at Toscana. Marco at the Mediterranean restaurant. Hostesses Andrea and Monica at the Buffet always remembered our names. And Sofia from the entertainment staff who led the bicycle tour and provided our tour group with interesting historical information. All in all, we had a terrific 10 day vacation, ate too much, tried different drinks, met wonderful people, were the recipients of great service – and we hope to make a return visit to the Excellence Playa Mujeres !

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Incredibly amazing resort!

The junior suites are beautiful, the food was exceptionally good, the staff was incredible and the grounds are stunning! The layout of the resort was very nice. The bars and entertainment were very, very good! We had an amazing two week vacation and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellence it is!

So much more relaxed than a family resort. All a la carte restaurants very good (no reservations necessary). House wines good quality Chilean, with a decent list of extra-priced wines. All bars serve premium brands by default. Entertainment geared to adults and mostly very good. Rooms very nice and well maintained. Wi-Fi free but a bit spotty. Swim-up suite worth the extra cost. Staff excellent and friendly. Lovely beach, excellent pools. WestJet Vacations and Best Day Travel (on site) very help [... read more]ful. And no one tried to sell us a time-share... that's a first!

The food was great.. Washrooms where always clean and well suppled ... Grounds beautiful .. Staff very friendly !lots of bars.. Lots of activities to do... Beaches where always clean and lots of walking to been done in the beaches .. Golf close by

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Amazing time

Beautiful resort. Amazing food and drinks. It was like eating at the keg for every meal. We really liked that it was a la cart for every meal. Lovely resort, beautiful beach. Loved the amount of beach/pool beds they have.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Amazing Resort!!

This resort has ruined me for travel anywhere else. My husband and I travel at least a couple of times per year. This resort far exceeded any other all inclusive we have traveled to. What takes this resort to another level is the staff/customer service and the food. The staff were amazing. My favorite was Tonatich who brought a paper to our table in the morning and often carried our plates to the table. He went above and beyond to meet our every need. That is impressive with a full hotel of guests. The food in all of the restaurants was amazing. My favorite was Spice, but all of the restaurants were amazing. We didn't get to the Lobster Grill or the Mexican because we had to eat again at Spice, it was that good. The rooms were beautiful and very clean. The fridge was restocked daily and if there was something we needed, it was just a phone call away. When we called and asked for something it was delivered immediately and they followed up within minutes by phone to make sure that it had arrived and was satisfactory. There were no negatives. I can't say enough about this amazing resort and the staff. Thank you for an amazing vacation.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Perfect Vacation

Without a doubt the Playa Mujeres Excellence held up to its name. Fabulous vacation, beautiful beach and pools. Food was outstanding and the staff always attentive and professional. This was the vacation of a life time. From the moment we entered the gates your made to feel special with the landscapes and tropical paradise. Upon our arrival we were met with cool face clothes and sparkling champagne. Concierge Amurani and Erik were also very accomidating with ensuring that our stay was perfect and that all our needs were met. The restaurants all served amazing meals with a 5 star flare that enhanced the atmosphere to make each guest feel special. At the grill we were met with Martin, Freddie and Angel who made our dining experience enjoyable. Toscana restaurant Alberto and Rigo made our evening with an amazing Italian dinner served with style that befitted royalty. The morning and lunch buffet if you choose to dine there was also just as classy, you were met at the door by Andrea and Monica who again escorted you to a special table and ensured that you had a great dining experience loaded with outstanding choices. All the bars at this resort we were met with friendly smiles and attentive staff. We throughly enjoyed the Martini bar with Hugo and Cesar, each delivering a special form of entertainment with their amazing talent of bar tending and Cesar's acrobatic movements and service. From there we would head for the Cafe Kafe bar outside to be met once again with Diego the bartender, who would always remember your likes, and be served by Virginia or Cecilia the waitresses with quickness and smiles. The Sol Bar near the pool was my favourite, near the hub of the daily entertainment. We were served by Cindy and Julianna the waitresses, bartender Jose. There was never a moment that we didn't enjoy being pampered by the pool. Entertainment was perfect, there was not a day of our 10 day visit that was not for filled. Each area of this resort had something to offer, the elegance of the evenings was my favourite, weather sitting at the theatre or any of the bars music was always outstanding. Events throughout the day could keep you busy if you chose or a pampering at the spa just to relax. I have stayed at the Excellence chain in another country, but without a doubt the Playa Murjeres is the place to make memories and treat yourself to the best vacation ever!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Loved this hotel chain! Riviera cancun perfect!

Hotel service is "excellence" in all ways, from the staff to management, they made us feel special from the moment we arrived until we sadly had to leave. Great food, 1 heated pool and great beach for swimming and walking to the little town.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Excellent Resort.

This is our second time here. Highly recommend. Wonderful friendly staff, beautiful beach, clean rooms. Excellent food. Have been to Excellence in Punta Cana twice, Excellence Riviera Cancun twice and Excellence Playa Mujeres once. Very happy with the Excellence Hotels but prefer Mexico. Have nothing negative to say. We are so happy in fact we are bring our children and grandchildren to the Finest Excellence Hotel in Cancun April 2016. Hoping they are as good as their sister hotels.

Excellence Playa Mujeres: Amazing resort and staff!

The resort is amazing from the very beginning till our sad departure. We were greeted with friendly staff and shown to our amazing rooms! The rooms are not done justice by the pictures. Everything is in close proximity and the restaurant selections are the best I have experienced in any resort setting. I'm very glad to have spent part of my holiday at Excellence Playa Mujeres and I would do it again with pleasure! Isabel was an amazing waitress by the pool, that needs to be known!

Clean room, friendly staff, wonderful pool, good food, fantastic beach, average entertainment.... One of the best adult only resorts in Mexico. I have been different places last few years, but this is the one I would like to go again...

Excellence Punta Cana: Above Exceptional!

This facility is the most amazing resort we have ever been too. My husband and I celebrated our 25th Wedding anniversary and it was most amazing to the food, the cleanliness of the resort and our room. The staff was most attentive and I must say that Yazury Moreno at the Grill Restaurant provide excellent and amazing service. Say hi to her if you go there!

Excellence Riviera Cancun: Amazing Resort - Must Go

The hotel was perfect. It was just what we needed to to get away and relax. The lazy river was awesome. The food was delicious and the drinks were right on point. We had a swim-out room and I would definitely recommend upgrading to that room. We didn't upgrade to the Excellence Club level and we didn't feel left out. The nightly entertainment was great. Loved the fire show.

Excellence Punta Cana: very consistant over the years it is our 6 visits

You just ask and you get.The staff is very accommodating and friendly. Adults site with a very relaxed atmosphere,no rush,no line up,no pain (8/9 restaurants on site. I walk 6/7 km a day on the beach,the closest hotel is abount 2 milles on each side of the EXCELLENCE resort.

Excellence Riviera Cancun: first class all the way

The food was exceptional. Many great restaurants to choose from and no reservations needed. The hotel was clean with top notch service. They provide every comfort you can possibly want. My only complaint would be about the beach. Much sea weed is tossed on the shore by the waves. A tractor drives up and down the beach all day, hauling away the sea weed. The tractor is loud and smells of diesel, and is very annoying. There is a lazy river and the hotel provides many mats to float along its path.  [... read more]Many activities are available, such as kayaking, beach volleyball, food and drink preparation lessons, dance lessons, etc. You can be as busy or as lazy as you like. For the most part, this is a resort of those who like a tranquil experience. The few hard-party hounds we saw were the exception. The evening shows were good for the most part, especially the singers in the square in the early evening. We have visited this resort three times and have never been disappointed. The guests seemed to be mostly a mix of British, Americans and Canadians.
