LOVED IT

Amazing resort first time in cuba an loved it .Only sore point on the weekends locals on the beach are loud drink rum from the bottles throw stuff in it .At brisas the ocean is full of rocks after a few meters so you need aqua shoes. We went June 20 TO JULY 13 2014

Fabulous vacation!!!

One of best vacation ever! Great snorkeling! Lots of fish, only the reaf was damaged by the storm in 2012. I loved the food, great choices, too much to eat! The loabster was great! we had fabulous time!!

Great value for the price

Travelled April 2014. Stayed in the hotel not the villas. Rooms were dated and run down but clean. Everything else was fabulous. The beach was beautiful, the food was very good, the staff were gracious. The included activities were great (especially the wind sailing). This is not a high end resort, but for the price, the value is exceptional.

Brisas Guardalavaca - Our home in Cuba!

Been to the Brisas 10 times - since it opened. We love it! The hotel ocean view rooms are amazing. There is always a beautiful ocean breeze and the view is spectacular. You can keep an eye on the action, even when you are on your balcony at night, as you are always facing the main stage. The villas offer a quieter stay, but are only steps away. The resort is flat and accessible, even for those with some mobility issues.. The resort has lots to offer, and it's all within walking distance. You can [... read more] even walk into town on the ocean sidewalk, to visit the craft market and spend time on the public beach. The rooms are clean. The food is good (it's not 5* - but we always come home with a few extra pounds on our bodies, so it can't be all bad) and there are a variety of a la carte restaurants to choose from. Make sure you book them early in your stay. Suggestions: Bring a cool cup for your drinks.

Good value for the price

Grounds clean,people great,beach great,the only problem with beach it is public. Food depending on day could be good.At dinner time at buffet you have to go early or else they mat run out of certain foods.But overall i have a good time.

Awesome Trip

Hotel staff are amazing as usual. This was our third trip and we were treated l like Royalty. The Villa room was the best , clean, spacious and a great view. We will return. The staff are top notch and the location of this resort makes it a popular destination for many return guests.

FABULOUS RESORT

Love everything about this resort,the staff are super friendly,felt I knew them all personally after our 2 weeks there.(Did have my favorites!!!!) The grounds are beautiful and all the facilities,rooms, dining areas,lobbies,are all clean, bright and organised.Did,nt go in the pools as spent all our time at the beach,white sand and clear blue water. Food in al-a-cartes very good,service excellent,dining rooms,plenty of choice at all meals.Have been to Brisas twice now and will be going back

Best resort ever.

Love this resort. Have been there 5 times. Planning on going back next year. Can't ask for better staff, always so nice and helpful. Only resort I would recommend to a first timer to Cuba. I have been to a number of other resorts, but always go back to this one,

Only so so

The resort is ok. The pool is nice and the food is pretty good for Cuba. The whole place just seems old, dated and run down including the rooms (especially those on the first floor). The staff are only nice to you if you tip them (my hubby did the tipping and if they didn't see we were together they were rude to me), or are a returning guest. If you are not a returning guest your a second class guest. Resort does have good value if you are looking for a cheap get away

Pleasantly surprised.

I had stayed at this hotel years ago and was pleasantly surprised to see the upgrades and the excellent choices for restaurants and pools/beaches. This time my friend and I stayed in the Villas--quiet and out of the way and close to the beach and the Villa pool. Well worth the $40 per week extra cost if you want a quieter spot. The show at night were ok overall, but the water gymnastics show was spectacular--best I have seen in a while. Food was much better than I remembered for Cuba--big improv [... read more]ements here. Bar and restaurant service was excellent and staff was very friendly, with the exception of the front desk blonde lady at the Villa check in counter. Other reviews have commented on her curtness and unhelpful attitude and we found this as well. Our flight left for home late at night, so we had the whole day at the resort. The allocation of one room for all of us to change before we left the resort was terrible! This definitely needs improvement. Other resorts now have a shower and locker room especially for this purpose and this works very well. There were cats on the premises, and since I am allergic to cats and don't want the anywhere near me, this definitely put a damper on my stay there. Guests were feeding them which encouraged them to hang around the dining areas. Most resorts I have visited do not have animals on the premises--not everyone likes them. Otherwise a great and relaxing stay.

14 had a great time!

This spread out resort has a ton of ocean frontage. Everything about it was great. We spend most of our time at the hotel pool but we were staying in the villas. The rooms were good sized and it was a short walk to everything. Food was great as was service. This is the best resort of the 3 we've been to in Cuba.

Our home away from home

we are so comfortable when we stay at Brisas, it's a very safe place for the kids to be out and about independently. The staff there show pride in their work and they treat you like family. As soon as we board the plane to come home, we look forward to the next vacation at Brisas

Good resort

Everything is good -food,rooms,entertainment except the locals ppl.The beach is overcrowded with locals. The restaurants are very good ,the bars ,the rom-bar .Only the location is minus and the locals ,
