Very nice resort

The grounds of the hotel are very well manicured, lush and clean. The rooms are also a very good size ( we had a junior suite) and the cleaning staff did an excellent job. The resort is very big and there are a lot of steps in the grounds from the pool area to the reception, bars etc. Food was good but fairly consistent with very little change from one night to the next. The a la carte restaurants were very nice and service was excellent. Service in the buffet restaurants was very hit and miss [... read more]. Some staff were extremely pleasant and helpful while others had to be constantly asked for the bare necessities e.g a glass of water, cutlery, and when they did so, it was very grudgingly! Beach was lovely, sand and clear water and good snorkelling along the rocks. Beach bars were well stocked with liquor but it would've been nice to have somewhere near the beach to grab a quick snack. Overall, we enjoyed the vacation. The only negative aspect was that we paid extra to upgrade to the Royal Golden programme. Definitely don't do it because it was a waste of money. Almost everything we paid extra for was included in the regular cost.

Wonderful resort

Beautifully landscaped resort with clean comfortable rooms, and well kept main areas from lounges, pool area, washrooms, and buffet. Food was good and staff were all very friendly and always inquiring if everything was to our satisfaction. Will definitely be going back to this resort. The only downfall we found was the beach. My husband and I travel to Cuba quite a bit, and the beach was very disappointing in comparrison to the beaches we have been to there.

Amazing Resort

Honestly everything was amazing, the grounds, pools, beach. buffet food was unbelievable good, we had four picky kids and they loved the buffet there was so much to choose from they always found something. Entertainment and the pool and at night was very nice. Good Family Resort

The Grand Bahia Principe in Jamaica is a good resort for families. The distance between buildings are closer than the map shows. The Water Park is an excellent feature at the resort for both kids and adults. Very limited standard food options for meat or poultry as there is a lot of seafood and stewed/seasoned meats. Need to clean their shoreline from seaweed for paths to clear waters. Also need to clean pool waters with chlorine more often than once a week. Awesome Trip

Snorkeling on the beach was awesome couldn't ask for better the beach was also in walking distance. Pool looked nice didn't use it once due to the snorkeling. Buffet had something for everyone and the staff was great. Italian restaurant had the best steak tenderloin I ever had. Stayed in the room with the ocean view the balcony was nice to sit on at night where you could watch all the activities which were shut down at 11. Love Jamaica!

This is not my first trip to Jamaica. But first time at this particular resort. It is HUGE! Beach was my least fav part about the place. But it is totally somewhere I would take my kids. They have so many things offered for families with children it made me miss mine even more!

Amazing family vacation

Perfect vacation. The food, pool, beach and entertainment crew were awesome. I can’t wait to go back. We had an amazing experience at the grand Bahia principe Jamaica. A special shout out to Malik and Kevin from the entertainment crew. You guys made our stay that much more special.

Amazing resort!!

The grand bahia principe was an amazing resort. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The grounds were Immaculate, food was amazing. Entertainment was never ending. Would definitely go back to this resort. Loved it all!!!!

Absolutely Breathtaking!

Everything about this resort was perfection. The beaches, the food, the friendly staff, the room, the pool.. honestly couldn't get any better than Grand Bahia. I've been to several Caribbean Resorts, and this one has impressed me the most with the outstanding staff that makes sure our trip is one to remember. We're already thinking of coming back next year. To anyone who's looking for 5 star service, this resort is the place for you!

3rd time a charm

Third time at this hotel, great chain. Good upgrade for repeat guests as well as champagne and chocolates in our room for anniversary. So much has changed since our last visit in 2014. They’ve added some really great amenities like a kids waterpark, which was fun for both adults and kids alike. Service was excellent, everyone smiled and said hello. Front desk was quick to attend to any issues, they even call you to see that everything is good. Great snorkelling on the beach, or nice white sand for swimming...would I return for a fourth visit....absolutely!!

Another successful visit

We have stayed at this resort in the past. This being our 3rd time. And once again it didn’t disappoint. The beach was nice as always. The new kids water park was a lot of fun for the kids of the friends we were travelling with. The only real issue which wasn’t the hotels fault was the out break of flying ants(they call them rain ants) in our room. They came quickly. It’s funny now but my wife was a little freaked out. The staff were friendly as always. The food was good. We will definitely be back again especially if the price is right

Amazing resort

The resort is beautiful, the room are very nice and the house keeping did a great job cleaning our room, the food was nice they had a lot of variety to choose from, the pool was great that’s where we spent most of our day swimming and drinking at the pool, the beaches was nice, the wedding day went great and it was beautiful, they did a great job putting the wedding together, the only thing that wasn’t that great was, when you call front desk for anything, they take a long time for them to b [... read more]ring you anything, for hours. The fight home sucks, we were stuck in a hot plane for two hours because of a malfunction to the plane. Overall we had a great time in Jamaica.

Great Place

The whole place was lovely - including the grounds and beaches. Staff was great and we had a great time. Lots to do - the pool was absolutely marvelous!! Meals were good and the waiters and waitresses were very hospitable.

Grand Bahia

Loved this hotel. We just got home two days ago and we had a blast. The resort grounds were clean and beautiful. People on staff were friendly for The most part. Front desk staff could of been a bit more Friendlier. The hotel was very accommodating and we did NOT like our first room as we requested to be close to The kids water area. So they loved us closer. We are hoping to Book for October.

Amazing resort

Hotel and grounds was well kept. Food was amazing this was one of the best top five hotel i stay at Would stay here again and the staff was friendly helpfull. I have no complain what so ever My trip was great.

Amazing Resort

I loved this resort. I honestly couldn't say enough good things. The food was excellent, the service was okay but they do base service based on tips which I hate and will not participate in. The resort, in general, is so beautiful, amazing pools, the beach is fantastic. They do however, need to supply blankets and fitted sheets as these were nowhere to be seen during my stay

Fabulous vacation!

Had a wonderful holiday. Food was amazing, staff very friendly, rooms very nice and entertainment was awesome. Would definitely recommend this resort and would love to come back. Thanks for such an awesome time!

Would not return

We had the most wonderful time with family and friends at my daughters wedding. We chose the Italian restaurant for dinner, drinks and dancing and can’t say enough about the wonderful food and staff. They went above and beyond. Of course we paid $$$$$ for dinner and drinks at an all inclusive, lol. That being said the rooms could use a good cleaning. They only seem to do surface cleaning which does not include glass on tables. Carpet in the hallway is filthy with stains and elevators sm [... read more]ell of sewage. Staff at pool bar are rude and talk a good talk for tips only. Towels go missing on a regular basis and if you ask for assistance expect to be sent in 3 directions for help. Any request for help is met with a disgusting look and they have no intention of helping. We stopped asking after a few days. Luckily our group made the trip the best time. Shame on Air Transat for supporting this hotel.

Great resort for all ages!

The resort was amazing. Great daytime shows along with evening shows. We had an excellent room with a great view. The only downfall was the resort was so big that you spent a lot of your time walking around to get to your destination. I personally wouldn't recommend the luxury side as the difference in price I didn't think was worth it. We stayed in the main grand bahia side. The difference is a more updated room and some different events but everyone travels along the whole resort so it doesn't [... read more] make that big of a difference.
