Grounds were nice, food at buffet below pár but beach is beautiful and staff are very nice and helpful. Hotel itself is a bit outdated bút clean and offers all amenities. Next door to altlantis. Short cab ride to downtown Nassau. Jet ski is 5* Enjoy

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Worth Every Minute

I enjoyed every minute of my trip. I enjoyed both the ocean and pool every day. Now the food is amazing not even including the 24 hr all inclusive service! I really couldn't think of one bad thing about my experience and I can't wait till I can't afford this type of vacation again! Costa Rica didn't want me to leave lol my flight got delayed due to mechanical issues in Toronto and we stayed an extra night! I felt so lucky to get checked back into the hotel one extra night:)

Riu Palace Aruba: Escape to paradise!

My husband and I were at The RiuPalace Aruba January 14-21/17 for our honeymoon. The resort was absolutely amazing! Our room was very clean and we were very impressed with the size. The fully stocked bar with full size premium alcohol was awesome! All of the restaurants on the resort were great. We didn't have any meal that we didn't enjoy! The staff were very friendly and helpful, although I would have liked a little more of personality from all of the pool bartenders. They were extremely bor [... read more]ing and didn't interact with the guests. :( The beach was amazing as well. The Rui Palace is so close to Palm Beach we could walk there everyday. I would highly recommend staying at this resort we would definitely stay there again!

Riu Republica: Great vacation

The resort is well laid out and easy to get around. We were there from Jan 6 to the 20th. Check in was quick and all of the resort staff were friendly and eager to please. The food was very good and the buffet was always full of choices. You could easily find a sunny or shady spot either on the beach or at the pools. Our room was large and I would recommend paying a little extra for the courtyard room. Riu Reggae: Great New Resort

Just want to start by saying this was a great hotel. The resort was brand new, the bars well stocked and the staff very professional. Check-in was very smooth and the staff very friendly when explaining the hotels facilities. We stayed in a ocean front room. Room was beautiful, bed very comfortable, bathroom large, balcony facing the ocean although the view was obscured by palm trees is was very relaxing being able to listen to the ocean. Food was also very good with lots of options. Breakfast was served at the outside dining area, lots of fresh choices along with an omelette station, eggs cooked your way station, it would have been hard to not find something you liked. Lunch the Jerk Chicken shack was a popular spot, along with the outside dining area. Dinner there were several choices, Italian, Asian, Steakhouse, Fine Dining and the regular dining room. We took advantage of the dining room great food and many choices, the Asian restaurant a favorite of mine along with the Italian restaurant. Nothing negative about the food or the service provided by the staff. Night time entertainment was very good with a variety of shows. Entertainment during the day was very well planned out and the entertainment staff were always full of energy, friendly and very easy to talk to.

Riu Emerald Bay: Great resort but not enough buffet!

This was our second time traveling there. We loved everything about this resort except we were not that happy with the food and buffet! Compare to other resorts that we've gone to, this big resort does not have enough eating area. I talked to several other people while there and everyone was saying the food quality has gone down since 3 years ago. Riu Emerald Bay: Nice resort but food isn't great

This is a nice resort in Mazatlan and we enjoyed our time there. The food was below the quality I would have expected. Towards the end of our stay, the only thing I would get on my plate is fries with ketchup. I'm not a picky eater at all but I found most everything to be either bland or too salty/sweet. Meat and seafood was overcooked beyond recognition. Worst of all, there was NO Mexican food at this resort. I found that ridiculous. I love Mexican food but I could not get a simple taco there.  [... read more]They have a so-called Mexican restaurant at the hotel, which server some bizarre concoction of Spanish/Western that I think any Mexican would laugh at. The cocktails were very good and the servers did try to make the best they could with the things they had. Overall the service was quite good with a few exception, especially with the reception staff, some of whom tend to be rude and dismissive if you complain about something, such as the premium paid internet not working properly. The beach was nice and very sandy, not rocky at all. That's a plus. Overall the resort was ok, but I would not recommend it to friends and family. Normally, when I come back from vacation, I feel nostalgic about the food I had access to. This time, I could not wait to get back to Canada and eat something that had some taste. Some of the people in our group had been to this hotel 2 years ago and confirmed that the food quality has gone down.

Riu Republica: Beautiful Hotel, great staff

We had a wonderful vacation at the new RIU in Punta Cana. Staff were excellent and very happy to be there. Entertainment was great, food was great. My only complaint was that the pools all closed at 7, being an adults only resort we were surprised that there wasn't one pool that was open later. Overall it is an excellent resort, beautiful, fresh and everything you need is right there

Riu Flamingos: Beautiful beach

Enjoyed the beach either in the sun or under palm trees shade. Plenty of room to chose a spot on beach or by the pool. Good entertainment. Hotel grounds are well kept and refreshing touches can be seen on daily basis. Staff very friendly and helpful. The all inclusive has a good variety for every taste. The alla carte is good, interestingly open to all without reservations. Though Italian restaurant no espresso coffee available. The room was well kept including Mini bar. Excellent shower and hot [... read more] water. However, ventilation controls didn't allow for good nightly comfort. We Almost froze first night, and had to request a blanket. Required to turn off ac at night. Good mattress, but pillows uncomfortable. The towels at times had a bad moldy smell, soiled sticky glasses not replaced with clean ones. Besides some of these negative comments, we did enjoy our stay.

Riu Reggae: Good value

This resort was 2 months new at the time of our stay. The grounds are well kept and it's just minutes from the airport which was a huge plus. The beach is a bit small but there was lots of beach chairs available by the pool and sea. One downfall was the absence of any shade on the beach. The food was good and the drinks were good. No room service which is too bad. There is 1 bar open 24 hours with some nacho snacks from 10pm-7am but we were never hungry and never partook in any of the late night [... read more] snacks. There is one rowdier pool and a quieter one. No hot tub. The spa was nice and decently priced. The gym looked small but didn't use it. The room numbers seem to be falling off but the room itself was clean and we enjoyed the large walkin shower. Bed a bit hard. We had a nice partial ocean view room. We spent time on our balcony and it was nice to hear the hotel reggae music or even the night entertainment. The bar tenders were slow at times and would not remember who was first to be served. The entertainment staff was awesome and the shows were decent. Didn't realize there were some shops within walking distance which would have been nice to explore. The locals will paddle their kayak right up to the swim area and try and sell you their hand made crafts or marijuana. Overall we had a great kid free time and we would go back to Jamaica in a heart beat. We might try negril next time for better beaches.

Riu Playa Blanca: Fantastic Resort

Enjoyed our time immensely staying at this resort. A Goldilocks kind of resort in that it wasn't too large or too small; it was just right. Large selection of food during meals, no problems finding a seat. No issues with noise from the night life. Entertainment was fun to watch or educational (one night only).

Riu Palace Cabo San Lucas: Top notch!

A great hotel and great location. The service was impeccable and so was the food. Lobster served several times during our stay. Amazing for an all inclusive resort. This was our second exposure the the Rui Offerings but won't be our last.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Lovely resort and staff

Beautiful hotel, the staff was very friendly, very hospitable. Good variety of food everyday, very clean! The only issue would be the beds. We were three adults sharing what seemed like two twin beds pushed together...the hotel would do well to bring in proper, full double beds. Other than that we had a wonderful time!

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Enjoyed my vacation

This is a place that one can really enjoy their vacation. However it has its good, bad, and ugly sides: Good: Beautiful views of the pool and beach from our room. Excellent variety of foods; friendly and attentive staff; plenty to drink; less than 5 mins walk into Atlantis and its entertainments; plenty of things to do off the hotel grounds, easy ride into downtown for shopping or sight seeing and local food in the fish fry area. The beach  [... read more]is awesome and so clear you can see school of fish swimming around you without having to use goggles Bad: The daily and nightly entertainment needs some upgrading; the gym could use a room with a view to outside Ugly: At first glance our room looked very good. Then the details started been visible... carpet is shredding and has holes in some places; furniture and doors are badly banged up and worn; green stuff growing on pipe fixtures and towel hangers in bathroom and floor constantly wet from some leaking; TV and phone issues; cleaning staff forgetting to remove dirty pillow cases and towels from the room after changing them. The place needs some upgrading badly.

Riu Palace Costa Rica: Great spot, Highly recommend this resort

Could not be happier with all aspects of this location. Food, service, rooms and facilities all top notch. All staff super friendly and helpful makes you feel they appreciate having you around. Great vacation and loved how clean & safe Hotel and surrounding villages are. Do yourself a favor and stay at this Hotel and visit Costa Rica.

Riu Flamingos: Very nice resort !

We enjoyed our stay there in the second week of January . Rooms are clean and the beach is great. Food is good too. We had wifi but it is only accessible in the public areas. One had to pay extra if you want one in your room. Rates vary depending on how long you want it (1, 3 days). One can go to Puerto Vallarta proper by taxi and in our case by bus (a lot cheaper) which you can catch at a corner just outside the hotel. We went to Malecon - a tourist spot in P. Vallarta proper riding the bus. St [... read more]aff are friendly and helpful. Premises are kept clean regularly.

Riu Merengue: Above Average

We were there the week of Jan 10-17 weather was rainy and cool which is out of our control. The resort was at full capacity which made getting chairs by the pool impossible if you weren't out saving them by 7:30 am. Stormy weather also caused excessive sea weed on the beach all week which wasn't dealt with in a timely manner. We had 5 rooms booked with our group and the problem we had was we were all split up all over the property and they wouldn't move us closer together for 3 days. There was only one themed night which was Mexican and it was good. No shrimp or other types of shelled fish. Went to the Italian restaurant which took way to long and food was OK. Doesn't sound like a good review but weather had a lot to do with our unhappiness.

Riu Emerald Bay: Amazing trip!!!!

Such an amazing vacation. The hotel was clean. the service was amazing. the staff was amazing. the hotel isn't to big so you don't need to walk far for anything! good drinks! will definitely be going back

Riu Cancun: Superb

The Riu Cancun was fantastic. The staff were so much fun, we didn't leave the resort at all and we were never bored. The food in the buffet was pretty amazing. Great selection (and I'm a picky eater) and always fresh. The a la cartes weren't anything to write home about but they were still good. The evening shows were also really entertaining. Rooms were clean and modern. I would definitely stay here again.

Riu Emerald Bay: Great resort!!

The hotel was a bit dated but very well maintained and very clean. The grounds were well manicured and beach was great. All the staff very friendly and helpful. The restaurants were closed a few nights and weren't true a'lacarte (still buffet style) The main buffet and Italian buffet were excellent!! Great variety! Would definitely rebook and recommend.
