Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Beautiful Resort!

Having stayed at the Bahia Punta Cana before, this was our first time staying at Esmeralda. What a nice change, the place definitely has a classier feel to it, lounge chairs are all clean and creamy white. The place has a more intimate feel compared to other parts of the Bahia. The trend continues on the beach area as well with less people and more availability of seating. Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Great resort !

True luxury resort , service was perfect , food too , xhale isnt really worth it . You get too little extra for what you pay for ... The butler who wont do much will ask you to write a review on Tripadvisor in front of him so of course you will find tons of great review about xhale and their butlers but they dont much at all ... But the resort itself is great , all the restaurant are perfect and there is no wait or reservation needed . They keep asking you for drinks either on the beach or at p [... read more]ool . Your always taken care of . ! I recommend ! Great place to party ! Only downside is that the people are leaving towels to reserve chairs everywhere around the party pool , so unless you dont care and will dump them and take their "reserved seat" like i did you will have to stand or do the same really early . Only annoying thing . Everything else was perfect !

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Upgrade to the Ambar

I would suggest if you are looking for a real 5 star resort to upgrade to the Ambar. Most photos on the travel websites are actually of the Ambar, which the security guards will not let you to walk around if they see your different colour bracelets. We first checked into the aquamarine and the ceiling in our room visibly cracked was leaking water, no shower curtain so the washroom was soaking wet after a show. As we have stayed at Ambar prior we decided to upgrade at this point, the difference between food, service, drinks is unimaginable. We would never stay at Aquamarine again, I would say it is equivalent to a 3 1/2-4 star hotel.

Occidental Caribe: Sunny location Sandy beach

Beautiful location. Large Buffet with multiple choices. A La Carte restaurants were very good. Pools warm but music too loud and competed with swim up bar music. Ocean warm but waves with red and yellow flagging.Our room was comfortable but complex is needing repairs and updating. Children's pool was well used by guests. Quiet pool frequented by families. Evening lobby entertainment most nights too loud to enjoy or hear conversation. Missed the target audience age group. Theatre entertainment fa [... read more]cility has poor acoustics and sound level too high. Contract Water Aerobics instructor was fantastic. She does 6 weeks only at the resort tho.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: The ultimate vacation spot!

The resort is beautiful! The food is amazing. I think I gained 10lbs after only being there for 7 days! The staff are super friendly and welcoming and you will probably pick up a bit of Spanish during your stay! lol The excursions were planned well and a ton of fun - we went on the party boat and dune buggy tour of Macao. I highly recommend them both as they were a really good time. I am making plans to come back again next year!

Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Beautiful Resort

For the most part, we absolutely loved this resort. The grounds are amazing. The staff are amazing. The food and drinks were plentiful. The pool is HUGE and although there was a lot of people at the resort, the pool or beach did not seem crowded. The only 2 complaints I have is the amount of vendors that were set up throughout the resort. We were there 6 days and the vendors were set up strategically throughout the resort 4 of those days. Also, Dreams...an all inclusive luxury resort. Ho [... read more]wever, if you want premium liquor or you want "imported" beer like Bud or Coors, you have to pay extra for that "luxury". Other non luxury resorts in Punta Cana provide guests with premium liquors and imported beer at no extra cost.

Occidental Caribe: Best vacation in a long time!

We only had a week but our experience was fantastic. The room had cozy beds and great service. The grounds gave plenty of opportunity to explore. The nighttime entertainment in the lobby was superb. We saw only one show in the theater and found it okay. The service at all points was excellent. We ate at several Of the a la carte restaurants, which were beautifully decorated and professionally managed. Sosa in the casino was a fantastic host and we enjoyed the Texas Hold Um three nights. I  [... read more]almost won once. Darn river! Michael, Carlos, and Jose were on point for the whole week. I have already recommended this resort to many of my friends.

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Relaxing and Amazing Resort!

This was our first family vacation - 3 kids, 2 parents, 2 grandparents. This hotel catered to all ages and everyone enjoyed themselves. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the food was nothing short of excellent with lots of variety. We did pay to be upgraded to Diamond Club, and that was well worth the extra dollars. You were guaranteed a spot on the beach, had a personal concierge (to book dinner reservations, ensure you had everything in your room, provide suggestions for entertainment, [... read more] etc.) and Diamond Club Members had their own private bar. I've been on many all-inclusive vacations, this was the first time with children. This resort is not for anyone that is looking to escape children, it is designed for families.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Incredible

I thought everything was amazing the staff was so nice, the food was great, the restaurants were so easy to book. The grounds themselves were so very easy to figure out, the pool and pool bar were very nice and well maintained and the beach was just a one minute walk away my only complaint is I wasn’t there for longer!

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort Spa and Casino: Sorely Disappointed

Nice room. Lovely pools and beach. Couldn’t get reservations 2ngts for anywhere. Where we did only the Italian and Mediterranean were good. Poor service and the sewage smell through out the resort was unbearable. ☹️. I would not recommend

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Very nice resort.

Overall, a great experience. Good food, friendly staff, and peaceful. Beautiful beach, I felt very safe which was important and I really enjoyed the entertainment. The adults only areas including the pool was in small sections. But that being said, fantastic trip and resort.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Beautiful Resort...but some things to consider before booking...

Beautiful resort, grounds were impeccable, terrific amenities, children’s attractions, and a la cartes. Resort is VERY large...difficult to move around with small children or ppl with mobility issues.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Fabulous vacay!

A meticulous resort with friendly and courteous staff, always willing to help. The golf course was in excellent shape and the weather complimented every day we played. A good selection of restaurants and good variety of foods at the buffet. Recommended vacation resort for all ages!

Grand Bavaro Princess: Did not meet my 5 star standard.

Nice hotel, good food but terrible service from maid to restaurant staff. We are very forgiving people but after our first complaint in regards to the staff and how loud and noisy they were we were told it would stop. It didn’t even after the second complaint. We decided not to mention it again not worth our time trying to fix something they were obviously not concerned about.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: Bahia customer service could use some improvement.

The resort is quite large so you need to use their tram system if you want to go to the beach or to your room from the main building. Food is very good and in abundance. Resort is lovely and clean. With the exception of the maids who cleaned our room; the staff only do the minimum that's expected of them. Customer service is not their forte. Information is very difficult to receive as staff is not knowledgeable of what's going on in the resort. I had a fall in the lobby and even thou [... read more]gh a couple of staff members helped and took my room information; no one called to see if I was OK.

Excellence Punta Cana: Excellence

It was the best resort ever in all my trip give this a 10 in all occasions the staff was extremely good and the rooms are all excellent so was the food at the pool bars they got amazing drinks and if they didn't have it they would call and it was there asap they made are holidays so relaxing thanks

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: feels like going home

the resort is beautiful and well maintained...........the food is fabulous but the wait staff were not as attentive this year as previous years...........on the beach the waiters and waitress were great and very friendly but most of the ones in the lobby bar and garden bar seemed to be more interested in chatting, dancing with each other or on their cell phones than wait on tables........bar service has always been slow but this year the lobby bar was very slow..........2 waiters and one waitres [... read more]s at the beach restaurant stand out as knowing their jobs well and caring about the tourists........Fransisco and Ramon took good care of us in the morning and at the a la carte restaurant Tequila............the a/c in our room was not very cool and neither was the fridge and the bed was the worst part of the holiday.........I am still suffering from sore back and hips from sleeping on that mattress for 2 weeks............all in all it was a great vacations and we will be returning again next year..........hopefully they will have fixed our minor inconveniences and have someone come to train their staff........big thanks to our room maid .......she did an excellent job and always greeted us with a smile and hello

Royalton Punta Cana Resort: Very nice resort ! Beautiful Beach !

The Resort was very nice (unfortunately they were doing some construction which made it appear a bit less clean in some areas BUT it will look really nice when it is all completed ) The grounds and rooms were very nicely done and the staff was very friendly. Our favourite part of all was the beautiful beach for sure. !! Spent most of our time there. The one disappointment we had was that we had pre-paid for our rooms several weeks ahead of our vacation because we wanted to be in a certain a [... read more]rea and to be next to our friends and have a great view of the resort But they gave our room to someone else even though we paid $70.80 US for them and we ended up on a different floor in a different part of the building from my friends with no view. Our friends got their room OK and every time we walked by I looked at the room I was supposed to have and I was disappointed Because it would’ve had a fabulous view of the whole resort and we would have been with our friends. When I talked to the reception about it they just said we will give you money back and they didn’t seem to be concerned at all So I would recommend when you get that email that says pre-pay your room don’t bother because you’re not going to get it if someone else is coming for a longer stay and wants that room. We were told we will get our $70.80 US back in 10 days so we will see. It was not the best way to start the vacation but we did really enjoy ourselves. The food was very good but I would recommend that you not waste your time trying to get into the restaurants Every nite because they rush you through the meal and there did not seem to be a whole Lot of ambiance. The buffets were just as nice and the staff were very friendly.

Sunscape Coco Punta Cana: terrible vacation

the hotel grounds are very small,however if you have a walking disability not for you as there are no carts to take you around.If you want to go and swim and drink alchcol and soda only its okay If you go you should book the VIP or adult only,this is the only place to get your mixed drinks like pina coladas,caesers,dirty monkeys or champagne,your can go to any bar if you are VIP you can not get these drinks otherwise. Had to phone to get our room cleaned 2X and we had left a tip everyday appa [... read more]rently they start maid service by 8:00 so if your not up and out of your room they go right on by. They have a steak house restaurant but you have to pay extra for the steaks(starting @$22.00 american,The same at the lobster house @$20.00 a lb. the only good thing I can say about my trip is the weather was great 29/30 degrees everyday

Secrets Cap Cana: Amazing Resort!!!!!!!

I strongly recommend this resort to anyone looking for that extra special place ....beautiful grounds, spacious , super clean rooms, unbelievable room service, incredible food and staff, great nightly entertainment. A large number of activities offered throughout the day..well organized by competent and entertaining staff.
