Occidental Caribe: Paradise Revisited

After spending a very relaxing holiday at the Occidental Caribe I have decided this is one of my favorite resorts to visit. This was the sixth visit here. We found all the staff very friendly and they seem as though they enjoy their jobs. The food was good and fresh. The maid service kept our room very clean and we always had a fresh supply of towels. Thanks Juana. The grounds and the lobby were kept very clean. The beach is one of the best. No garbage lying around and not too many problems [... read more] getting a lounger at the beach or pool. I highly recommend this resort.

Bahia Principe Explore Punta Cana: The good and bad

The good: the resort grounds overall, most of the staff, food, drinks and location. The bad: the resort has a few newer complexes, which are much better then the "Puna Cana" side with respect to smaller crowds, wi-fi access, food and alcohol choices, and cleanliness of room. The latter was a major disappointment and the resort did nothing to address our concerns other than to relocate us to a newer portion of the complex which we already intended to do and pay for personally. They did however [... read more] offer to give us a free meal ...lol it's an all inclusive...not sure how that is any attempt to make it better for a bad experience. While I will think twice about this resort....it is not bad. Have a blast the sun, beach, food/drinks and most staff are great.

Occidental Caribe: Older resort

Our bathroom was in disrepair, our room had no towels at check in and we had to request our room to be cleaned by day 2 as it was not done on our first day. Most of the resort staff were great, the buffet restaurant is seriously understaffed. The reception staff spend too much time conversing with each other instead of the guests.

Royalton Hideaway Punta Cana: Wonderful resort

The Hideaway at Royalton in Punta Cana was everything that we expected from a Royalton resort. From first rate service, great food and extremely comfortable accommodation, our week away from home was first class. An added bonus was that we also had privileges at Grand Memories Splashworks as well as the Royalton Bavaro. A special thank you to Luis at the Dorado restaurant as well as providing beach service in the afternoon. He made a wonderful week that much more special. Occidental Punta Cana: Overall a good experience

The hotel itself is well maintained and clean. The ala carts served great food but were cold, ladies bring a sweater. The main buffet and the beach buffet had a good assortment of food. Two things that upset us was the slowness of the room cleaning staff (twice in 14 days our room was not cleaned) or not finished until 5pm. The other thing was that some of the staff catered to the locals before us standing in line. Other than that it was a nice 14 day trip. The beach was great.

Grand Sirenis Tropical Suites: Great Vacation

It was an amazing vacation. Clean. lots of activities. excellent for families with kids. highly recommend. will be back next year. Only negative is that the Banana Boat was too close to shallow water, almost hit a couple on the beach. we got out of the water when the banana boat got too close.

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: I have stayed at this resort many many times in most of the sections - I have to say that this was the second time in the amber section and I have to say what an amazing job on the up grades

Overall an amazing resort!!!!! Can't say enough about how this resort is maintained. All staff are very welcoming and attentive to the guest. The pool entertainment staff were amazing and keep the guest engaged. I did enjoy the entertainment in the lobby and Sports bar at the amber location whoever is was very difficult to see the full performance due to the layout. My only negative comment would be the main theater - the volume of the music is so over barring that I could not enjoy my [... read more]self or the presentations or hear the words or songs spoken and had to plug my ears the volume resulted in causing a headache and had to leave before the end of the show and as a result did not return for other shows during my stay.

Apartments Punta Cana by Be Live: Resort review

Considerable improvement compared to my visit last year. New owners more visible and attentive to guests, in control of day to day operations with only guests comfort in mind. Several positive changes , free wi-fi, more attentive staff, overall service improved considerably however food quality even though good could use some improvement. Overall, new owners are in control of this resort.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful resort!

Our family vacation at Melia was fabulous. The resort is clean, the rooms are beautiful, the food is great. The beach is amazing. My grandchildren loved the Splash Park. We all did!!! I spent an afternoon at the spa, it was lovely and so relaxing.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: 3rd time ended up a charm

Started poorly...flight was delayed ~ 5 hrs, middle of the night arrival, escorted to a room not even close to what was requested (close to ocean- facing the pool) and no keys (seriously) ...just ushered to a room and said keys would be avail in the morning...not a happy spouse Next day - early start and was on the whole team' case for about 3 hours ...move to a new room in the early afternoon, perfect, just what we had initially requested, and with keys! also included a banner acknowledging [... read more] 'rtn mbr' Colonial Club is so worth it - beach chairs and pool tents...enjoyed them both Food - VG - Evening restaurants, French 1st choice, and Japanese a close 2nd (but portion size at the latter was way too large) One blouse also seems to have gone missing...but otherwise can't say enough +ive things about the staff in every role they fulfill

Majestic Mirage Punta Cana All Suite Resort: Second Time Around!

Loved it. Gorgeous beach with very little seaweed. The service was exemplary everywhere. The Concierge was actually very helpful and a nice touch. The food was varied and well-prepared. The resort is approximately two years old and very modern.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Another great stay but also a con alert ...

We are a 60ish couple that have stayed at this resort 7 times in the past 14 years. We have always had a great experience but as with any resort there are pros and cons. The Iberostar Punta Cana is a traditional style resort that is well maintained, everything is clean and the staff are great. The common areas are updated, the rooms are clean with excellent housekeeping but do show signs of age. If you are looking for that trendy brand new feel then this probably isn’t the resort for you bu [... read more]t if you like a well maintained old world Spanish feel then this place is great. Food is above average, never a problem finding appetizing stuff to eat here, never a problem getting a drink either, staff are attentive. The beach is on one of the nicest stretches of Bavaro in my opinion. Lots of sandy area and the surf isn’t as high here as other sections due to the proximity of the reef. You can go for walks in either direction, lots to see and many people doing the same thing, a great way to spend time in the sun. Shows are varied and the enthusiastic animation team do a great job to keep you entertained. This is not a party resort altho there is a disco as part of the complex away from the main accommodation area. At nights the pool area is quiet. Beware tho … Back in the mid 2000’s there used to be timeshare salesmen lining the walkway to the buffet, you had to run that gauntlet every time you went to eat which was tiring to say the least … then for many years all that stopped, clear sailing which was awesome. Well, it has returned, but not in the way you would expect … When you check into the resort you are assigned a concierge who sits with you and gives you information on the resort as well as takes your à la carte reservations. The next day when you pick up you reservation slips and they think they have your confidence they sneak in a request for you to attend a 1.5 hour “presentation” on some kind of deal they have cobbled together involving discounts on the premium services at this and other resorts in the area. Oh, and there is a $100 gift (a useless one) for attending … humm, sounds a lot like a variation of the old timeshare scam to me. When the concierge saw I was less than interested he even tried to guilt us into attending with “oh, will you just do it for me …” how pathetic is that … I abruptly ended our relationship at that point. NOTE TO IBEROSTAR MANAGEMENT … people don’t travel long distances and spend a ton of cash to get hustled on their vacation, you are a chain that I always considered above this kind of conduct … stop it! Bottom line tho is this is a great 4 starish resort with high standards, great food, great staff, great shows, great beach, two thumbs up on all that … just beware of the concierge …

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: The Resort was everything we wantef

We had an amazing time mostly because of the staff.. Yvonne and Flavio were Amazing at Auqafit every day. Tony Shelby and the Entertainment group were Fabulous also The presentation and the taste of the food was Great!!!

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Wonderful staff

Beautiful resort, excellent restaurants, generally quick service. My husband uses a walker and found it difficult to get around. When we called for golf cart, several times we had to wait a long time or had to call because the dispatcher forgot. Sandro and Edgar were very helpful when they got the call. More variety needed in Rumba buffet.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Lovely resort

This is a very clean well run resort. Food is wonderful at the buffet and also at the a la carte restaurants. Staff are always taking care of the manicured grounds. Beautiful beach near by. So easy to get around this large property.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Relaxing holiday

Great week at the Iberostar Grand Bavaro. The staff are fantastic without exception, always a friendly word and smile and there to assist. The hotel, property, amenities, pools, and the beach are all top of the line. Unfortunately had some issues with food on this trip but a great week in the DR despite this.

Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Majestic Vacation in February 2020

Our vacation at Majestic Elegance Punta Cana booked with Rachel was amazing. Thank you everyone for making our stay one of a kind. A special thanks go to Tony, Trinidad, Edwin, Maria and Sofia for an outstanding service during our stay. Walking the premises of the resort everyday was quite relaxing. We also enjoyed the Suprebowl entertainment. Staff went above and beyond to ensure everybody had a great time. The main restaurant has many stations for both vegetarians and meat lovers of wide variety-fish, lobster, shrimp, chicken, beef pork and other. Cleaning service was very accommodating and qualitative. Amazing service overall…would go back anytime 

Impressive Punta Cana: Amazing resort

The resort was very clean,The restaurant food was very good. The spa was amazing and amazing price. Very nice beach and amazing sun rises. The one thing that we didn’t like was there was not enough chairs at beach or pool.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Wonderful beach, lots of critters

The Caribe Club Princess is a wonderful place to spend a week. The staff, food and drinks are all great. The grounds are well kept and the buildings are in fair condition. The beachfront at this resort is awesome and we never had trouble getting a chair at the beach or pool. There are vendors at the beach peddling wares. They respect a firm no and will leave you alone after it if you aren't interested in buying anything. However, our first night at the resort a flea market was positioned dir [... read more]ectly in front of the building my room was in and the vendors were extremely aggressive, trying every trick in their book to have you buy from them. It was a bad first impression. This is an ecological resort with a mangrove and wildlife. There are many birds lizards and turtles around to view and enjoy. I see no reason not to return to this resort if I travel to the Dominican Republic again.
