Occidental at Xcaret Destination: Awesome Vacation

The Occidental at Xcaret Destination is an excellent vacation getaway - we spent 7 glorious days here and enjoyed our time immensely - restaurants were great, grounds were great including the wildlife on this property. Most of all, the staff were so amazing - they could not do enough for us.

My sister and I were in building 22 ( top floor. Back of building). We had monkeys on our balcony every morning. Wonderful experience. At one point our keys didn’t work any longer so I went next door to Royal level. Thankfully they fix the problem with the keys. If you don’t feel like taking the trolley ask for shortcut to lobby. I wouldn’t recommend this resort for people that have problems walking a lot. Everything else was great. Bon voyage

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Fabulous destination

We had a family wedding as part of our vacation. every detail of our special day was looked after perfectly and professionally.this is a world class destination. The food was delicious and the meal for the wedding was exceptional. Thanks to all staff and any one involved.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Royalton Hideaway

Rooms and resort amenities are beautiful i.e., modern upscale decor. Food quality and service at a la carte restaurants was very hit and miss. Portions were small overall. Room service menu choices were very limited, delivery was slow and good quality was just mediocre if that. Guest services staff have poor attitudes - unfriendly and less than helpful. I will not return or recommend the Royalton to my friends or family.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Never disappointed

Many trips to this resort and hopefully many more to come. Great as usual and value for your $ is second to none. Great staff, good food, drinks and amenities. Having been many times and knowing many of the staff is a bonus. Always amazed how you can go up to one of them a year later and they remember some personal detail from the year or 2 before. Great animation teams to keep you entertained. Barcelo Maya Riviera: Better than expected

This resort is much better than i expected. The staff were amazing, friendly and very eager to help. The advertisement pictures dont do it justice. Also much bigger than expected. The food was absolutely delicious. I cant think of anything negative to say about our experience. Such a beautiful and magnificent place to stay. Just dont forget your water shoes, not a place to run some into the water full steam.

Platinum Yucatan Princess: Disappointing

There are no towel bars in the shower area. Only place for towels is on the floor. THe shower floor is EXTREMELY slippery - be sure to wear water shoes or risk falling. The patio area at the swim out pools has deteriorated to the extent you have to wear shoes or risk injury. They had the red flag out every single day - so no swimming. Service was fantastic, food was good but not great. We saw quite a few wildlife - We even managed to feed the coati!! On the whole not a bad place  [... read more]but not the 5 star we were led to believe - probably more a 3.5 to 4. I would recommend but with caveats.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Beautiful resort!

Short review about our week at Blue Bay Grand Esmerelda in Riviera Maya January 2020. All in all a good vacation. Resort is very nice, with well maintained grounds and gardens. All personnel were friendly and gave excellent service. Food was excellent. One or two drawbacks: line up for food at the main buffet. You can only serve your self from one side of the buffet setup, resulting in a wait of 10 plus minutes for food, not to mention all the budinskis. Very inefficient. The beach:  [... read more]some sort of dredging operation going on in the water. So the water looks brown and dirty. No one is swimming in it. Your view is platforms and the wave barriers. Thumbs down to that. Also, some major ,very loud renovations going on so the quiet pool was not quiet. I think they played very hard driving nightclub music all day to cover over that. Wasn't ready to listen to that at 7:30 in the morning at the quiet pool buffet, so asked them to turn it down a bit. Was actually hard to find a quiet spot anywhere. So for those reasons I would not return.

Iberostar Waves Paraiso del Mar: fantastic resort

This is one of the best resorts we've been to. Every thing is so clean, the grounds and the rooms. The room smelled so nice after it was cleaned. We love that they are into recycling. All the staff are extra friendly. The management personal were always checking on everything. The food was extra special. We like to see the Staff sitting down at meal time and eating, laughing and just talking to the guests.

Barcelo Maya Caribe: The best vacation...EVER

We would like to thank Bismark for referring us to this amazing resort. We were truly blown away at all of the unexpected features presented there. We loved absolutely everything about this resort....nothing bad to say except we should have stayed longer. What a treat! Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Fantastic Vacation!

We recently stayed at Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun and can tell you that it is an amazing resort. We loved every moment! The staff was incredible, immaculate rooms, non-stop drinks and amazing food. Would definitely recommend to anyone debating this resort, worth every cent!

great rooms with nice view great food great pools and beach with lots of beach chairs available great restaurants and a great buffet with lots of meal choices the buffet should be open longer and alcohol should be served earlier

JOIA Paraiso by Iberostar: Very elligent and food amazing

The only issue I had was the coffee in our room— Hard to get cup into slot until shown. Other than that amazing except for weather Thanks again Rod. Scriver Ok 200 words Let’s see lounges amazing, food was amazing , room was amazing, the design of the resort was amazing I found that the extra events SCUBA Was way too pricy. What else can I say. Barcelo Maya Caribe: Beautiful huge resort

This was an awesome resort, well maintained clean grounds. Restaurants were superb and service was excellent. We were guests for 2 weeks and enjoyed every minute. Pools were very clean and beautiful with a nice little adult pool also. The beach was kept up nicely. We enjoyed our excursion to Coba and swimming in the underground cenote and meeting a traditional Maya family.

Iberostar Selection Paraiso Lindo: A nice & relaxing resort

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Modern, clean, swimming resort !

It felt like we entered the future when walking around the inside of the resort building. It was amazing. Spacious rooms with huge King beds, double sinks and rainfall shower in bathroom. Oceanview rooms is the way to go. We stayed in an Oceanview room on the top floor and had the most beautiful view of the ocean! Service everywhere on the resort was top notch and even without tipping. Gourmet, delicious food at the buffet and a la cartes. The French restaurant was our favourite. Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful resort

This resort is smaller but has great food, the best service ( thanks Poncho for making our day start off with your smile and serving us breakfast) and I can't say enough about how clean it is. We will go back again and would recommend for families or just a couple.

Grand Sunset Princess: Beautiful and nice hotel

Very clean and quiet nice beach last place and i like the pool the buffet is good and Many différent something to eat i have like my vacancy and many souvenirs stay in my memories The agencement is so nice i like thé place because i make some promenade

Barcelo Maya Palace: Great resort!

Grounds , restaurants and room are very well kept. Food was excellent! Staff are constantly working hard to ensure guests are kept happy! Lots of options for food and dining can be inside or outside along the waters edge if preferred. I would return and recommend this resort to friends. I should mention that you do need to pay to have wifi throughout the resort which we didn’t find necessary but always good to know so there are no surprises for those guests requiring the service.

The resort was very pretty and we had a great beach. I think it was one of the best beaches. However there were a lot of screaming kids, so maybe its the wrong time to go. We went from Jan 8 - 10, 2020. There were 3 connecting pools and kids were at all of them. I think one of pools should be designated as adult only The adult pool was great but a small area.
