Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Chic Punta Cana Vacation Feb 2020

Just returned after a 10 Day stay at the Chic resort in Punta Cana .. The Resort was Well maintained . Rooms very clean.Bathrooms were in need of a little update . The Food was the best We have ever had on any of our Caribbean Stays . There was So much to choose from ..A La Carte restaurants were Great especially the Sushi Pescatore , not only did they have sushi ,but the baby back rib was yummy. No complaints about any of the food , the buffet had So many choices ,from breakfast menu ,lunc [... read more]h and evening dinner . The Staff were All So friendly and happy to help all the time . Our entertainment team was FIRST Class ,also the fitness program was lots of fun , aqua fit and yoga classes . Our vacation was perfect from beginning To end . Highly recommended.

Caribe Deluxe Princess: Wonderful resort

We found the service was great! Never waited in line for a drink or a table at the buffet. Lots of room around the pools to have either sun or shade. Could walk the beach for miles. The crepe house and Brazilian restaurants were our favourites! Audelina and Rosa always had a smile!

Bahia Principe Explore Legend: Amazing resort

The service and quality of the resort was exemplary. Definitely an amazing destination for families with kids under 8. Every aspect of the resort caters to families with small children. You would almost think you are at Disney.

Riu Republica: Great Resort!

Many thanks to Bill Gentry from Trip Central in Hamilton who recommended the Rio Republica Resort in Punta Cana. The resort was beautiful, the rooms were clean, we enjoyed the food and the staff was friendly. A week went by very quickly and we can't wait to return next year. Ana & Steve, Brooklin.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Beautiful resort!

A beautiful resort with gorgeous and well maintained grounds. Rooms were wonderful and clean. A good variety of food at the buffet. Al carte restaurants were good - I would recommend the Steak and Japanese. Service was top-notch. Beach was perfect, busy during the morning, but always manage to find a chair. I would recommend this resort to anyone. There is an option to upgrade, but we found that there was no need to do this.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: AMAZING RESORT!

Catalonia Royal Bavaro was an amazing resort! Great atmosphere and fantastic staff, very attentive. My husband booked this vacation as a surprise and to be honest I was a little hesitant. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff where fantastic! Our room was beautiful, spacious and close to all the amenities. it was just a sort 3min walk to the "family side" if you wished to go and explore. Eric and his crew made our vacation one to remember. Loved this place, we would definitely recommend and will return to Catalonia Royal Bavaro Resort.

Breathless Punta Cana Resort: Best time we've had on a trip so far

This was our first time at an all adults resort, didn't know what to expect. But wow! it was an experience to remember. Majestic Elegance Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!!!

The Majestic Elegance (Club) is probably one of the best resorts we have ever been to. We loved everything about it! The staff our superb (our designated butler Guzman was a delight and the other staff Pastor, Carlos, Francis, Jose, Andres, Jennifer, Masiel, Ismael and Mary) made our stay extra special. The staff are all very courteous and made you feel very special!! We are definitely coming back to this resort!!!! A big thank you to Maya Maceka for booking this memorable trip for us!!

Secrets Cap Cana: Terrific Vacation!

We had a terrific week at Secrets Cap Cana. The staff were extremely friendly and went out of their way to greet us at all times. We didn't see one staff member who seemed unhappy to be working there. The food was very good and the hotel facilities were outstanding. This was one of the nicest resort rooms I have ever stayed in. Being 15 minutes from the Punta Cana airport was an added bonus.

Secrets Cap Cana: Expected more

On arrival we were greeted warmly and registration went quickly and smoothly. Our room was beautiful and comfortable. The beach was truly magnificent, gorgeous white powder sand and ocean has sandy bottom. No rocks to step on in the water. The resorts beach area is large and the lounge chairs are far apart from each other no crowding. However, there were some things I found disappointing. First, the pools, while quite large had decks overcrowded with lounge chairs. There was only about 6 in [... read more]ches between chairs and they lined the edges of the pools. Felt like you were back on the plane. Second, the food was just average. Although you didnt need reservations for the alacarte restaurants, service was slow and food unexceptional. The buffet was always pretty much the same and uninspired. However the hamburgers from the poolside grill were delicious. One of the best burgers I've ever had. Also, the attention of staff was too much at times. I am capable of carrying my towel, thank you.. All in all I would rate this resort 4out of 5.

Dreams Royal Beach Punta Cana: Beautiful spot

We returned from our vacation at the Now Larimar rested and relaxed. There are a few things that could have made our stay better. Three days in a row, I asked for water with my breakfast. Three days in a row, I didn’t get any water. Breakfast is a buffet, so after the waiter brings coffee, they just stand around. It was very frustrating. Wow! The second thing would be the smell at the Now Garden pool bar. Whether you were at the main bar or down at the swim up bar, you would often get a whiff of vomit. It was rather gross. Lastly, if you are scent sensitive, Now Larimar would be a concern. In the lobbies and main washrooms, the scent was nauseating. It was extremely strong and the 1st day you think it smells fresh, but as the week goes on, the scent just becomes over powering. They need to find something less over powering or not use anything at all. All that being said everyone was friendly, the service was good, as was the food.

Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Punta Cana: Amazing Resort!!!!!

Great hotel. Clean and excellent service throughout great selection of restaurants with excellent food. I cannot recall any other resorts that took care of us like Hard Rock. From picking us up at airport till the very end. First class Bravo!!!!

Ocean El Faro: Very Large Resort

A very clean resort everywhere, grounds, lobby, rooms are well kept and maintained. Front desk staff appeared not to be very well trained, and not prepared to registered new arrivals. (A lot of confusion when checking in. We were unexpectedly told to go to the bar after waiting sometime and that they will bring our room key to us which did not happen. After a while we pursued a front desk clerk and asked the whereabouts of our key.) The in room fridge was not stocked as advertised. We had to  [... read more]chase down housekeeping personnel to get it filled. The pools were very nice with sturdy lounge chairs but lack of umbrellas. Pool bar service was also very good. The food was generally very good. Lots of variety, lots of fruit a good selection of desserts. The buffet was well serviced by the hostesses and bus staff. They were very friendly and accommodating. Hotel staff went over and above expectations for a Super Bowl Party with food, beverages and a 25 foot outdoor TV set up in the main plaza. Excellent job! Beach was a huge disappointment. It is basically the width of the hotel property and the water is very rough due to the nearby coral reef. Not like the Bavaro beach where you can walk for miles. The H10 Time Share representatives were quite persistent and annoying but if you quickly set them straight they do back off.

The Hotel was amazing The Staff were just great right from the Towell Person to all the rest of the staff I loved every minute I stayed with you I Know it is a New Hotel but since I travel to a lot of different places you really need to get some stores in there no place to buy anything that people might need , also maybe another 2 Restaurants like most people that travel we would like a place down close to beach that does hamburgers, hot dogs and Natchos with cheese just small stuff to have  [... read more]in afternoon rather than going into a restaurant It is a learning curve for you being new lso the rooms are beautiful I was very comfortable in my room , You just have to fix a very little problems that I have suggested to you

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Melia Punta Cana Beach February 2020

The resort and the grounds were beautiful. The food at the buffets was good however the hot items were on the cooler side on most days. Having upgraded to the Level was nice as we could eat all three meals a la carte. The bars all had a really nice selection of premium alcohols. Some staff were friendly and helpful and others not so much...it was pretty much a 50/50 split. The pools and the beach were nice. I would recommend this resort to a friend only if they were looking for some quiet time. We prefer a bit more buzz!

Bahia Principe Escape Ambar: Fabulous resort

We are repeat vacationers to the Luxury Bahia Principe Ambar resort. We love the service, staff and the whole experience. Dining at the al la cartes are excellent. The particular building we were in, offered a butler service, Ligia was amazing, always on the ball, never disappointed. The Manager of the resorts restaurants Yulissa Acosta was always available and assisted us when required. Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Beautiful resort but very, very, very poorly managed!

I would rate this resort 3-4 stars. And we are not picky. It took us a long time to check-in because we had to change the room. Got to our room and it had a horrible sewage smell. Sewage smell is one of the biggest problem at this resort, not everywhere but in some parts of the resort. Finely got a beautiful room with ocean view. No problem with reception, they understand the problem and trying to help. - I don't know if its a poor management or cleaning lady think that all you need is 1 t [... read more]owel. You have to look for them every evening after the beach to get towels. - The staff is poorly trained, especially on the beach. They will get together 3-4 people, stay near you on the beach or pool and talk loud right beside your chair like you don't exist, you try to get around them, they won't move. - And now, the WORST part. No chairs on the beach available unless you are up at 5-6 am. The beach is packed and you will not get a chair. I don't understand, they spend so much money on this beautiful modern resort and created this problem. Buy extra 100 chairs and let people relax, it's supposed to be a 5-star resort and you pay for it. People fighting every day. The manager, young girl that was called on the beach to help sort it out has to be fired. Couldn,t get her name. We've never seen anything like that. They say that we are not supposed to reserve chairs on the beach, it's their rules, I understand but they created this problem, because not enough chairs. It is a 5-star resort, for goodness sake. She was taking peoples belonging and putting them on the ground because someone came and asked for the chairs. Staff was running around, throwing towels on the ground, stealing pretty much chairs and giving to other people for tips. Our neighbor on the beach went with his wife for a walk on the beach, A staff member came, decide that it's being reserved, put their stuff on the sand and took chairs away. We tried to tell them but nobody listened. Unbelievable. They don't ask for money but they know they'll get good tips. Management pretty much created business there. Unbelievable. 5 or 3 stars hotel it doesn't matter. They have no right to touch my stuff. It creates a lot of tension on the beach. UNPRECEDENTED. -The bars are always busy and the service is extremely slow. - The Restaurants Do not eat at the Mexican, smells like sewage. Japanese, Italian is Ok. The buffet food is good. No complaint. Overall the resort is beautiful, modern. Potential to be a luxury 5 star. Need a lot of work, train stuff, managers totally lost. I hope the owner is reading our reviews and fix it fast. I am definitely not planning coming back to this resort. For a lot of people, the vacation was ruined.

Iberostar Selection Bavaro Suites: Problems needing fixed

Holiday started off rough. This is not our first time here so we expected no problems. No water in room for two days, air conditioning problems, too much emphasis but on coral and prestige level that average Joe's felt part of the scenery. The animation staff never new what was happening that night when asked in the morning.. Junior and an older animation staff who i forget his name right now, but his son works in wait staff were great. Need MORE PROFESSIONALISM FOR SURE, Arielis looked exhausted trying to babysit these bafoons. Tables were always dirty and placemats, never new if your cutlery, or glasses had been used before. Seemed to me overall the place has gone down hill after their renovations. So sad as we always used to enjoy it. Stop trying to push out your average traveller for snobbery, and focus on those who made you what you are....your repeat average customers!! Shout out to Orlando, Baylaise, and kaysie who were fantastic. Oh and Pantara was the animation man I was thinking off.

Dreams Onyx Resort and Spa: Family vacation

My husband and I traveled with our 6-month-old baby to this resort and we were relatively pleased with the service. Just like most resorts, staff could be hit and miss - some staff were very helpful and some just doing the bare minimum. Beautiful hotel grounds and kept exceptionally clean, especially the pools which I saw them scrubbing every morning. The buffet is pretty good, the only negative was that it was extremely repetitive. Other resorts we've been to tend to do themed buffet nights so  [... read more]that food is switched up so by the end of the trip I was tired of the selection. There are restaurants but we only tried one (the grill) as we did not hear positive things about the other ones. Room service food isn't great quality so I'd definitely stick to the buffet. The daily cleaning service was great and most of the staff were very friendly and happy to help us with anything we needed. The only other thing that I would say negative about this resort is that because of the way that the washrooms are built, they hold condensation and humidity from the shower so I saw mold in the shower which was gross. And a few of the resort staff kept asking how old we were - and one even made a comment about 'babies having babies' which annoyed us to no end as we aren't actually that young, we just look it. But of course, our age is no one's business.
