Sol Palmeras: Awesome Beach!

This resort has a wide expanse of beach. It is an emaculate space with plenty of loungers and shade. Just a short walk to an excellent variety of shops. Close to the golf course. The staff are genuine, the resort is clean and the rooms are an ample size. I travel alone and always feel safe. I return to this resort everytime because it feels like a second home.

Melia Cayo Coco: Great resort

Considering the hardships that are happening in Cuba right now. Melia Cayo Coco is still a great resort. We have been to MCC 6 times now and always recommend it to others. Beaches are great and the staff are outstanding!!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Going down hill fast!!

I have been to this resort three times the first time was 10 years ago. The second time was last year and this will be my third final time. They had no towel exchange so you had to use your same towel your whole visit. The only juice that they seem to have was guava juice for mixing beverages no pop or anything else. Often times the water was turned off so we couldn’t shower or flush the toilet or even get a coffee. The Wi-Fi was terrible. The cleaning staff only came in one time during my trip and only brought me one bottle throughout the whole trip for my water. The power went out a couple times, and the air conditioner worked once in a while.

Sol Palmeras: Resort was good

Stayed in a one bedroom bungalow which was very comfortable. Hotel public area well maintained lobby bathrooms very clean. Food was plentiful with variety. Staff were very friendly and strived to offer good customer service

Hotel Rancho Luna: Lovely resort

We have been here many times before. Every effort is made to upgrade this resort. Despite shortages and challenges efforts are made by staff in all areas to make the stay a pleasant one!!!! One thing that was missing was the bus transportation to the city. IN the past we found this feature very convenient and certainly missed it on this visit,

Melia Peninsula Varadero: 2nd Time

My second time coming to Melia Peninsula Varadero was another amazing experience. From the amazing staff at Reception (Melissa and Jany) and many others making everything perfect for our arrival, ensuring all our rooms were close together. Going above and beyond making my 40th Birthday extra special with Champaign and Chocolate in the room, a dinner reservation for my birthday. We also had the best housekeeper Yenis who always went above and beyond making sure we had everything we needed in our room. We didn't have to ask for extra water she always made sure we had lots. Most mornings were spent on the beautiful beach where lifeguard Luis would help get enough beach chairs ready for our group,drinks served by the bar staff on the beach. Nothing was any trouble for them. Everyday there was beach volleyball, water aerobics, and interaction with the entertainment staff. The entertainment staff go the extra mile to spend time with you ensuring you are having a great time (Christian,Jean, Chocolate Nutella, Karmen, Elio, Jenny and many others) you are an amazing team that works so well together to keep the guests happy. In the afternoon the entertainment moves to the main pool providing music and entertainment. They went above and beyond to make my birthday extra special with cake at the night beach party. The pool staff/lifeguards Leisser, Eduard, Yariolkis were all great and joined in our fun. Special shout out to all the pool bar/24 hour snack bar staff that always made sure our drink cups were full. Daniel, Yoyo, Sergio, Isamary, Lianet you guys are the BEST we can't thank you enough for taking great care of us. Luis Miguel at the 24 hour snack bar looked after us at night making sure we always had drinks and food. Thank you for putting up for us. Everyone always worries about the food in Cuba, we had no complaints we all found something to eat every day. The a la carte were all great! Special thanks to Bruce Willis for always having a big enough table ready for our large group and to the food manager Victor for the special gesture he did for our group. We all had a great time at this resort and I will not hesitate to go back again and again. It's 100% the staff that make this resort what it is!

Hotel Playa Paraiso: 7 Years - No let-down

We've been visiting this resort for 7 years now. A great wide beach, all amenities are very close, food is just outstanding. Seafood, shrimp - every day, langoustes, delicious pork, chicken, beef shank, sausages and cheese of many kinds - anything. Service is great. Very friendly people. 15 mins from the airport. This September of 2023 there were broken shells on the shore (probably after a storm) but they cleaned it quite fast. Gran Muthu Almirante Beach Resort: Amazing resort

Nice and clean. If the lobby and theatre installed the ceiling fan may be better. Come to the self-service restaurant buffet, I hope that the servers will be with the same person at the same time and they will not have different services for the sake of tips. If the servers are well serve definitely the clients will left you the tips.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing Vacation!

This is my 3rd time staying at Memories Caribe! It is a beautiful small, older resort with a traditional Cuban feel. The beach is by far one of the most beautiful in Cuba! It is simply stunning with soft sand and turquoise, clear water! The rooms are comfortable with good air conditioning and updated bathrooms. Shower pressure was good although water was on the "warmish" side. This was fixed towards the end of my stay and I finally had hot water! Food was fine.They make wonderful omelettes for [... read more] breakfast as well as pancakes, bacon, cold cuts, fresh fruits, breads, cereals and yoguort. The Italian and Mediterranean restaurants were my favorites for dinner but the buffet also has a great selection! There is a wonderful coffee/ ice-cream cafe called Beans that makes great spanish coffees and others and has a good selection of ice cream right behind the pool. The pool is also sparkling clean and there is a swim-up bar with lots of activities and games in the afternoons. For the evenings, there is an enclosed bar near the lobby called Bellinis that has a nightly Cuban band! Lots of fun! There is also a disco/sports bar called Route 66 which stays open until 1am and serves great specialty drinks. This time there were lots of mosquitos so bring bug spray. It's Cuba so keep an open mind. They don't always have everything like butter, ketchup or even Coke or Sprite some days. Relax and enjoy the beautiful people, ocean and beach! Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Can't wait to go back !

The resort is a short 20 minute ride from the airport. The shore is safe and ocean amazing turquoise. The hotel is well laid out and the landscaping gorgeous. Live entertainment is excellent. The staff are doing everything they can to offer an enjoyable stay under very challenging circumstances. Children can use the kids pool and the kids club area. ( Not Disney glitzy tho') Food is basic, but let's be honest, we don't go to Cuba for the food ! And sometimes there is a water supply problem to the showers, but the ocean is just down the boardwalk..... I felt very safe there. Pack your bathing suit, ketchup and patience, and you will have a fabulous stay.

Blau Varadero: Best in Varadero

I have been to this resort many times, it is a quiet adults only resort. If you choose the SELECT option, you have unlimited alacarte restaurants, the VIP lounge with premium alcohol, cushions on your chairs by the pool. The beach is beautiful. The food is actually good at this resort. Shortage of breakfast foods which all of Cuba is at this time. There is a 24 hour beach bar that can be quite fun at night time. Staff is very friendly and remember you when you return. 20 min taxi ride from the a [... read more]irport. Highly recommended.

Hotel Playa Coco: Better than expected!

Although this resort is older, it was spotlessly clean and everything was easily accessible. The staff were exceptionally helpful and bent over backwards to ensure that you enjoyed your stay. The only downfall to the whole trip was that the bugs were atrocious! I will never go mid-September again

Starfish Cuatro Palmas: Lovely adults only resort for sunseeking

Lovely resort for adults only. The resort has a certain "Dated Charm" that is really what Cuba is. It encapsulates the sense of the old eras and therefore appeals to an older crowd. We found it well suited to what we were looking for, relaxation, comfort and there was enough food and drink for everyone. Some things about the place need some work. We had issues with our A/C for three of the 7 nights we were there - finally it was resolved. Cuba Time as apposed to "Standard repair time". The pool was wonderful, the ocean gorgeous, the atmosphere delightful. Someone needs to get new drapes or fix the old ones......

Roc Barlovento: Terrible Experience

This hotel used to be good. It was good to stay there in previous years. But now it decreased in quality tremendously. First of all, to many mosquitos in the room. Secondly, The food wasn`t good, and worse than that there was cockroaches in the kitchen and all over the restaurant. On the day of the return our bus did not show up. After waiting for almost 4 hours we had to pay US$50 to a taxi to take us to the airport so we wouldn`t miss the bus. Terrible experience

Hotel Mojito: Amazing resort

Last minute decision to vacation and couldn't have picked a better resort. Grounds /pools/hot tub and our room was spotless everyday. Service impeccable. Staff was fabulous cannot wait to return! Freddies cigar liunge was amazing and comfortable. Hotel located approximately 20 mins from airport. Sunwing flight was great!

Coffret de sureté dans la chambre, frigo, séchoir, fer, serviettes propres et bouteille d'eau à chaque jour. Eau chaude rare... Longue file pour la viande grillée. Aucun fruits de mer, 2 repas où le poisson était offert. Buffet peu garni: concombre, gombo et courges pour les légumes. Mieux pour les fruits. Pas de fromage, ni sauce tel que mayo ou ketchup. Barcelo Solymar: Very disappointed

I want to start by saying I love Cuba and the people. I have visited over a dozen times and have never experienced these issues. This last visit was very disappointing and has discourage me from ever going back. From the time we got to the resort it have been nothing but upsetting. The rooms were dirty, no towels were available until the 4th day. I kept getting the run around from staff. We had to change rooms three times due to issues. Valentin Cayo Cruz: Wonderful Resort ! I recommend!!

The hotel and staff were wonderful. Top notch! I was pleasantly surprised! Everything was as expected and more. I had a great time. The facilities and beach were amazing. The hotel and staff really delivered. I will return and I definitely recommend!!

Resonance Blu Varadero: Changes not for the better

After spending many years at Memories (15) we found that things had changed for the worse. We know you don’t go to Cuba for the food but the food at the buffet was not up to its usual and always cold. The steam tables were not turned on. It appeared short on staff. They run out of alcohol, they had no coke cola very poor. We did a day trip and stopped at a highway bar for a rest stop that had better food and selection of drinks that the all inclusive hotel did not have. I know things are [... read more] not good at the moment but since the main source of income is tourism you have to wonder why things are so poor at the resorts. I don’t see a positive future. For the first time the resort was overrun with Russian tourists
