Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Great time

I thought this place was pretty fantastic for the price I paid. I did not expect 5 star, but I certainly wasn’t disappointed st all. I had an amazing room, great maid service, always something really good to eat... and lady but not least? Sand, surf, and sunshine.... how much more do you need.

Melia Jardines del Rey: Sub standard!!

Grounds, room, pools and beach really nice, food was unedible, awful, cold, same every night, staff not very friendly... ridiculous issues with getting a confortable chair at beach.... people were putting towels on them in the middle of night, I got there one morning at 530 am... and still couldn't get one.... hard plastic chairs that will kill your back, one bartender at beach bar, line up down the beach to get a drink.. crazy for 2000. People, 3 bartenders at swim up bar in pool and no one the [... read more]re.... never saw any management in the week I was there, garbage at pool overflowing, not emptied for 3 days... staff said not their job... difficult to get bottled water in room.

Melia Cayo Coco: Amazing resort,amazing staff

My wife and I just returned from a 10 night stay at this beautiful resort.We have gone to many resorts all over the Caribbean and can say that this resort was one of the best we have ever experienced.Beach is beautiful,Food in buffet was great always fresh....Charles the omelette guy is awesome..This was our first visit here but we now understand why people keep coming back....if your looking for quiet and relaxation this is the place for you!

Sol Cayo Coco: Very nice resort on a budget

Friendly staff, clean rooms, good food, foam party, ok entertainment, beautiful beach. Excellent resort and vacation for the price. If you want high end drinks and food you may want to look elsewhere, but if you are not fussy with local drinks, grilled food, wood oven pizza and pasta station then this is the perfect place.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Wonderful!

This hotel is great for families and couples alike. There was always room in the lobby, on the beach and in the dining area. Service with a smile at the lobby always. Beautiful beach, peaceful atmosphere, well cared for rooms. I would go back with my family for sure!

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Great resort

First time we stayed at this resort. We had a great time. The beach was amazing and they had great entertainment. We would definitely come back for another visit. The check in was easy and quick. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Hotel Camino del Mar: BEST BEACH

We just returned from 1 week at Melia Cayo Guillermo. Beach was absolutely beautiful, you could have along walk in either direction. Hotel room clean , but dated. Pool small. We enjoyed the food, could always find a clean table. Drinks were just okay. Service was very good. Activities in daytime was very good. Entertainment not so great , just okay . We would return.

Hotel Playa Paraiso: Amazing Resort

The whole resort was great. Rooms were well maintained, beach, grounds, lobby, shows and food were excellent. Staff are very friendly and helpful, If we had a concern it was addressed promptly. No long line ups always someone there to assist you.

Melia Cayo Coco: Melia in March

The resort was very nice - very clean and the staff were friendly. A little more information from the desk staff regarding the restaurants and facilities would have been good. The food was better than we expected however the coffee and wine were not great. The ala carte restaurant experiences were excellent! Very quiet and relaxing...just what we were hoping for.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Fabulous Vacation!

My husband and I returned home from Memories Caribe on Wednesday, March 7, 2018. We had a lovely, clean end room (balcony) looking over the lake. Gorgeous sunrises. The sliding door lock was broken but we brought door stoppers which did the trick. Beautiful large bathroom but no door. Took a little getting used to but fine. The staff from every position were wonderful. Front desk, housekeeping (lovely towel displays everyday), servers, gardeners and beach chair helpers. Ola's from everyone. R [... read more]AUL and JANET at the buffet treated us like royalty every breakfast and lunch. They always saved our table and put flowers on them which was a lovely touch. I hope management reads these reviews and lets them know how much we appreciated their friendly service. The food was pretty good. A lot to choose from but lacked spice. No peanut butter or maple syrup so bring your own if possible. Great selection of deserts!! The cooks at the stations were fabulous and we especially enjoyed the pasta station at lunch. The beach was spectacular and you could walk for miles along the shore when the tide was low and walk back along the sandbanks. That was so cool!! We picked up some lovely shells. There were always lounge chairs available. The gardeners are working hard to restore the beautiful gardens. We liked the "village" feel with the chalet like buildings spread out with lovely paved pathways winding around the property which we walked every night. The entertainment was top rate. A lot of talent with vibrant costumes. The hour or so of karaoke prior to the shows were super fun to listen to. We hope to return next year.

Melia Costa Rey: Great Resort

The hotel is ranked a 4 star but don't expect a 4 star in comparison to hotels say in Mexico. However the hotel is clean and the rooms are descant. If you go I would recommend staying in the adult side if you have no children.. Pools are nice, we mostly stayed at the beach, The beach is amazing, great for a good walk in the morning. The staff there are amazing. I haven't heard good things about the food in Cuba, I found it not bad actually. Stick to the cooking stations...eg. omelette, fish [... read more], stirfry. The only complaint I would have is the WiFi is brutal, good thing it's cheap, a peso per hour and the bars are a little slow.

Memories Flamenco Beach Resort: Awesome

We had such a Great time at Memories Flamenco. The staff and entertainment was awesome, the food and drinks were great. The beaches are amazing and the water spectacular. The rooms were good but never spent much time there. We really loved the night entertainment , they are great performers and dancers. The temp was between 27 and 30 all week with no rain. Couldn't of asked for a better trip all the way around. Definitely good to return.

Hotel Playa Coco: Amazing resort

Our recent stay was nothing short of amazing, the staff were wonderful and the beach was beautiful. We look forward to our vacation next year. The only down fall was there was no staff around the pool to come take your drink order you had to go to the bar

Hotel Camino del Mar: Perfect beach!

This resort was exactly what we were looking for. Having visited Cuba a few times before, we knew what to expect food wise, but everything was very edible. Had breakfast at the pool bar everyday and lunch at the beach bar where they grill fresh fish. The beach was very spacious with lots of chairs available. Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Had a great time, again

We travelled to the Iberostar Daiquiri 27 Feb - 06 Mar with our family, 8 adults and 3 children. This was not our first trip to the hotel, we had been there in 2016 with our friends and really enjoyed the facilities and staff. We booked prior to the hurricane hitting the area and were concerned about the conditions we might find. I contacted the hotel and they assured us things would be up and running when we arrived. The staff at this hotel are the best, we had outstanding service. Food is a step above other Cuban hotels we have stayed at, you will not go hungry. The beach is huge with lots of papalas for shade, the pools are clean with a swim up bar Would we go back ? Absolutely

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Amazing resort!

I had booked my vacation for 1 week and ended up staying for 2. The manager, Edourdo was very helpful as were the Sunwing rep and the resort doctor who helped me get an extra week of meds that I needed. The food was generally good and exceptional on seafood night. My room was clean and the maids were awesome about leaving extra water, towels or toilet paper if asked. To the people who complain about this place, I would like to remind them that this is Cuba. They are very poor and are  [... read more]trying very hard to overcome the devastation of the hurricane that hit them a few short months ago. I applaud them. ''They don't have a proper pasta bar'' was a complaint i heard often... get over it!!! The pools were kept immaculately clean, as were the grounds, the restaurants and the beach. The bar staff, desk staff, maids and even the gardeners were friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be back.

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Great vacation

Really enjoyed our stay, the quality and variety of food was good (some steam tables were warmer than others) , Staff were all very friendly, good recovery from the hurricane but you could tell some of the drywalling and painting was done in a hurry. Entertainment team take their job seriously. Resort needs to repair walk ways because of trip hazards. Lots of nice extras like beans cafe, 24 hrs snack/drink bar, bbq and pizza at the beach

Melia Costa Rey: Good resort

Very clean, staff always pleasant, they will do anything for you, grounds looking good considering last storm. Food acceptable many types of meat, deserts are very good. Fruit a little scarce. Great pools, beach good, quite windy on some days. The desk will not convert pesos back to Canadian. Entertainment very good. Resort minutes from the air port.

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Wonderful and Friendly

Very well kept. Aside from the plastic cups and straws sometimes found in the sand by other guests. Could have the ladies and gentleman who work on the beach keep an eye out while they are down there. They as well are wonderful tho. Very kind and fun and not pushy to do excursions and games.
