Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: amazing location - plenty to do
we stayed at the club Amego - in tropical room which was awfull. Mould on the white washed walls, damp smell and damp bedding. There was no balcony and the partiers stayed in the hotel, so you had lots of noise in the early hours of the morning. I encouraged my husband to smoke a cigar in the room to cover the odor. We asked for another room in the villas, every day we are told to come back and every day there was none available, at the end of the stay, another client had said I should have tipp [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Cuban Paradise
We found Playa Pesquero to be beyond our expectations. Our room was located close to the beach, the pool and one of the buffets. It was clean and bright. The staff at the hotel were always smiling and doing their best to make your stay an experience that would encourage you to return..
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: amazing resort
As this is our fourth time in club amino we have found the staff to be amazing with us .we have also found the food to be good as well.the rooms were big and clean.we go to relax and enjoy ourselves and make do of all situations whether it was sunny or raining. Yes it was sunny the whole time so if your looking for a cheap place to go and enjoy relaxation then I suggest club amigo for your holidays.
Playa Pesquero: Great trip to Cuba
We had a great room that had been recently renovated. Food was better than expected. The beach was beautiful, and the Cuban people were really nice! Pool was nice but could use more cleaning. Great trip!
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Fantastic resort for a 3 star in Cuba
The staff is what makes us keep going back. Have been 4 times. Love everything about this resort. We are welcomed home each time we go. It is clean, food not too bad, very friendly place. Flea market is beside the hotel, which is great.
Sol Turquesa Beach: Great resort!
Staff were very nice and accommodating. Grounds, room, pools and beach area were all quite clean. Our room (500 section) was close to just about everything. Always had hot shower water! Despite what I've heard of Cuban food, it was surprisingly quite good; best calamari around. You could tell they tried to switch things up and keep things new. Would definitely go back to Memories Holguin.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Beautifu holiday
We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere of this hotel. The view of our balcony was amazing, we enjoyed looking at the ocean, the boats and even the dark skies before a rain shower. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Our beds were made up beautiful and the girls were very friendly also. The gardener worked very hard to make a new flower bed at our building, one of the beds that made the grounds look even more beautiful than they were already. Overall a very nice relaxing holiday.
Sol Turquesa Beach: Welcoming Experience
The rooms were clean, the staff were helpful and always pleasant. Since I understand that this was recently taken over, I hope to go back and see what improvements are made, since I found it a nice place to stay. There were things to see and the reason I went was to unwind and relax and that is exactly what I got to do. I felt safe and secure, I never worried about wondering the resort day or night, there was always a security person around or a smiling face to assist you. It is off the beaten p [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Quiet, beautiful, relaxing resort.
The best features of this hotel are the pool and the staff. Very pleasant. Great for families. The buffet is average but the restaurants " a la carte" are excellent. You need to reserve them in advance. The room was very clean. I would recommend this place to anyone.
Playa Pesquero: Was expecting more
The appearance of the resort was amazing as well as the food ...However, everything else needs alot of improvement. The service in general was below average, resort is tooo big and wide spread that golfcarts were needed to get around (interrupting your walking space), timming of restaurants and buffets were unusually late, no alarm clock in the bedroom or anywhere in the resort for the exception of the front desk, entertainment needs alot of improvment, no bar at the sports bar. Nevertheless, it [... read more]
Playa Costa Verde: Great to have been back
Our second time at this resort my husband and I were amazed at the up keep and clean and friendly staff we will definitely be returning ... we were also very happy with the returning guest specials we received .
Sol Turquesa Beach: Enjoyed our time there
Grounds well kept, rooms clean and spacious, meals good, public washroom near the beach not that clean, large beach but not that good for swimming and weedy at times making walking the length of the beach not that easy, great pool areas. Procedure booking theme restaurants needs to be improved. Staff really excellent.
Sol Rio de Luna y Mares: Amazing resort!
The most beautiful grounds, gardens and beach, rooms are modest but comfortable, dining at the Buffet - delicious , good variety of entertainment at night and activities during the day, friendly and helpful staff. My best vacation!
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Favorite place
This has been my 2nd visit to this resort after referral from my father who has been there more then 20 times. The resort is very clean and the staff are amazing. Contrary to belief the food is top notch and the restaurants are amazing. Many people that you talk too on the resort are return guests, if that doesn't speak for itself. I would recommend and have recommended this resort to many people and plan to return next year. The resort has a lot to offer many people free scuba diving, aerobics, [... read more]
Club Amigo Atlantico Guardalavaca: Best winter getaway
This is a great resort for a winter getaway. During our stay (Jan 2015) temperature was between 28 - 30 C with lots of sunshine, just enough wind and an occasional midnight rainstorm. The grounds are in excellent shape with a lot of variations and hidden corners. The beach is large, sandy, and great for all kind of activities, including swimming in the ocean. Our room was spacious, clean, tidy, and well-maintained, including a hair dryer that actually worked! Being one of the oldest resorts, it [... read more]
Playa Costa Verde: Beautiful place, lovely staff, but big
Really a lovely hotel, nice grounds and buildings, beautiful beach. It's big, though, so you have to be okay with bustle. (Awesome for people-watching at the buffet.) The staff is friendly, warm and helpful, available to you without pushing you to have "fun! fun! fun!" all the time. The food is good, just - as per the general rule in Cuba - stick to delicious local foods (beans and rice, pork, fish, yucca, guava desserts) rather than being disappointed by their weird burgers or lasagna. People s [... read more]
Playa Pesquero: Amazing Resort
The hotel was great, the service was amazing and people were simply great. I will definitely go back there! I really enjoy the food, the beach was excellent, and the service is just amazing. The restaurants were well staffed!
Playa Pesquero: Good Resort
Everything is ok. Just couple of problems: No paper towels or dryers in the bathrooms. Instead it was bath tissue. Internet only in the lobby, very expensive and very slow. Missing beach showers. They are located at the pool which are pretty far from the beach.
Paradisus Rio De Oro: Nice resort
Resort provides excellent food and has a nice clean accommodation. Resort is for adults only and is very quiet. No children are allowed. Beach is nearby and is very nice. Evening entertainment only so-so.
Don Lino Hotel: Great quiet intimate resort
I traveled here with 5 other people , 4 of whom had been here before. They noticed the improvements in the food for sure. Service was great and staff friendly. Watch out for Junior the bartender though he may try and con you into a free excursion to his home in St. Lucia but try and charge you for it after changing plans to include a restaurant. The beach is unswimable due to coral and rocks but it does not make up for it with good snorkeling as some might suggest. I saw nothing of interest in t [... read more]
