Grand Palladium Select White Sand: Very good resort

The service is 5 out of 5. My room needed a slight fix of the safe deposit box. The technician came in 5 min and fixed it. The stuff was polite and efficient. For the people who decide to go to this resort - bring water shoes with you. Long areas of the beach have rocks and in windy day, when water is murky, it will save your feet. When water is back to clear, you will see where to go, but in windy day you'd better have it. If you prefer pools - pools are very clean and well-maintained.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Beautiful place

Great place for families, pools very clean. The grounds well Maintained. Staff was very helpful. In the dining room we got to know David , always had our favourite table waiting for us , and our morning beverage order ready

Riu Santa Fe: Amazing view, noisy at times

My view was spectacular. The rooms are big and cleaned daily . Some restaurants were great, breakfast buffet had lots of fresh food choices, fresh omelets, smoothies n juices, etc. The restaurant serving steak n salmon entrees was well received by our group. Some of their many buffets were mediocre unfortunately. The waitress and bar service was great too. We enjoyed the various theme parties, although four is a bit much.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Excellent Family Resort

Our recent stay at Bahia Principe Grand Tulum was amazing! The newly renovated Premium Superior room was well appointed, clean, spacious & had adequate storage for our clothing, suitcases, pool floats, etc. The grounds and facilities are well maintained. The pools were clean, the restaurants were spotless, the staff went above & beyond to ensure guests were satisfied & happy. The resort offers many activities during the day & evening. The entertainment staff make sure everyone is having a gr [... read more]eat time! The fantastic kids club is great and has various activities for children ages 4-12. There’s also a teen club. Food was great whether it was from one of the many a la carte restaurants or the buffet. The food truck was handy being near the kids pool & water park. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay & would highly recommend to anyone looking for a fun, family trip to the Riviera Maya area.

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Hideaway at Royalton Riviera Cancun

- Common area is big, airy, and lots of space: very good - Entertainment=0:not good at all. Besides that,the show begins too late at 9:15PM, others place at 8:00 or 8:15PM - Mini-bar is not filled at all, have to ask at bar in downstair for water. - No salt & pepper on table, no spoon at soup, yaourt or ice cream place in buffet, have to ask for every meal. - No paper napkins available for coffee, ice cream, donuts, or cake,... at all places in the hotel, even in the reception office. - Foo [... read more]d is good in some restaurants in resort, but in the buffet place, food is not varied enough, almost the same every meals.

Bahia Principe Explore Tulum: Family Friendly

The resort is beautiful and the pools were amazing. It is only steps from the ocean so you have the best of both world. It is very family friendly with lots of activities and fun things for the kids to do. The food was OK - not great and mostly because it is not very hot - they serve it in warmers, but most times it was almost cold by the time you get to your table. This left us only the buffet to eat at for meals and after a few days it got kind of monotonous. The music at the main pool at points got very loud (but that might be because I'm old) lol I do have to say, we were there for Halloween and Day of the Dead Celebrations and they were phenomenal! We really enjoyed the decorations, the dancing and the costumes! The main criticism I have for this resort is on their events. We were there for my daughter's wedding and it Rained - they have NO event tents to set up and as a result, the décor my daughter spent weeks and weeks creating, got ruined, the guests had to sit at tables that had soaking wet table clothes - we managed to get the meal almost eaten before it started to rain again and they made us walk in the rain to the nearby restaurant verandah where they changed the reception to. If they had simply set up an event tent (they knew there was a 30% chance of rain) we would have been able to enjoy the evening without everyone getting soaking wet. Most of the staff were great and very accommodating (especially the cart transfer guys at concierge) but I did experience some very negative staff when calling the front desk. Overall it was an excellent trip with family and friends.

Buenaventura Grand Hotel and Great Moments: In four years since we were there last This resort has gone from a four and a half star to barely a three star resort

The rooms were nice and well kept. The breakfast were the only good meals served. The rest were often cold and some barely edible. The front desk couldn’t or wouldn’t help or provide simple basics such as providing bottled water or converting large currency to smaller bills for tipping the bar staff and servers. The pools were not clean. The water smelled bad and was way too warm. When we needed medical help the staff took a long time to arrive at our room and didn’t have basic medical su [... read more]pplies (glove) to provide help then gave completely wrong information to the doctor and ambulance. There was no need to call ambulance services. We found booking excursions through WestJet was way more expensive than vendors we met on the beach. Twenty-five percent more for exactly the same trip. The beach was left a mess after an event. They’re plastic lock straps and pieces of wood with screws protruding through it. Overall it was disappointing to see the decline in this resort since 2019.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Barcelo Maya Palace

This is a resort that lives up to it's 5 star rating. The Grounds, Rooms, Pools and Beach were all first class. The Food was the best I have ever had at an All Inclusive Resort. The 3 Specialty restaurants had great food and service. The Buffet for breakfast and Lunch, usually gets old fast. Not this one, such a huge selection and both my wife and I remarked that we had enough choices to change it up everyday. Thanks to Jessica B in guest services who explained it to me and provided the letter. Huge resort great for walking and felt completely safe.

resort was just ok grounds and pool areas good food was good dining area was not good birds flying all around in the dining area very disgusting also rodent running all around in dining area tables were not cleaned off before bird got into leftovers on plates

Riu Tequila: Meh!

All-in-all an okay resort, good food, service was always good, if not a bit flat. I didn't find any of the staff to be overly friendly, and were very curt, other than Rafael that lead the Spanish lessons, he was great. The white party was a lot of fun. I honestly wouldn't return because of the many negatives I experienced. I may have enjoyed the resort more if I had gotten a full night's sleep and not been mortified by a thoughtless act.The worst thing for me was the disco where I was slipped so [... read more]mething in my drink. When I told someone at the front desk, they radioed over to the club and the whole thing was broadcast throughout the lobby area, I was mortified and felt afraid for retaliation for telling staff, I felt like I was being shamed. If you do go to the disco, watch your drink like-a- hawk. Further, we had a room on a second floor of a bungalow and all I would hear all night would be doors slamming and people yelling. It echoed so badly that I was woken up many times throughout the night, and then the furniture moving and balcony doors slamming would begin first thing in the am. We finally had to put white noise on my phone so we could sleep through the night. Worth a note: We couldn't get a third device to work on the wifi even though it says you get up to 4 devices per code and we only had two, even after speaking with IT. There were more things I liked but the negative far outweighed the positive IMHO.

Blue Bay Grand Esmeralda: Don’t bother with this place

Garbage!! Rooms are filthy, pillows are disgusting… food is pathetic. Customer care is non existent. We had no towels for 24 hours. And for the rest of the week the continued to have a shortage of towels. It took my asking multiple times for them to bring the crib. They assured me they would have a new room and a crib in the room for us the next day… no surprise, our names weren’t on the list for a room change. We had no drinking water in our room for over 24 hours. Don’t  [... read more]come here period… but especially don’t come here with a baby, their cribs are Dangerous I can not in good conscience put my 4 month old in it to sleep. This resort is not child friendly. Go anywhere else but here. Due to the size of the resort, they are dependant on golf carts.. but don’t charge the batteries. Be prepared to walk everywhere. Also, if you are not part of the circle club, they only have 1 cart for the rest of the guests. Our room only getting cleaned at 5:15 pm right whilst we are trying to get ready for our dinner reservation… so we asked for the bare minimum to be done. This happened several times during the week. I even approached them for an upgrade, no such luck. Guess the fancy rooms are for members only.

Grand Decameron Complex Bucerias Trademark: Mexican ambience

We had a 3rd floor ocean view which was great. The hotel offered six different pools and we utilized the adults only one and were glad of this as there were a number of young children present although this did not affect the dining areas. The grounds were neatly kept and the area certainly had a Mexican ambience. The main dining area was large and open that made it possible to be breezy.. We were  [... read more]impressed by the wide, long sandy beach that reached for some distance and to our amazement, the ocean water was rather warm and pleasant. The breakfasts were great as we usually had the omelets, papaya, croissants or sweet buns. Although there was a variety of fresh salads and cut vegetables, we avoided these as we were considered the possibility of contaminated water (which didn't seem to affect those who used them). The special dining opportunities were better than the main hall and we considered the Japanese one to be better than the rest. We walked up the hill to the large grocery store where my husband purchased a 10 litre jug of purified water weighing 22 pounds and this lasted us for over five days although he maids did supply us with 3 half litre bottles of water. . The Day of the Dead performance was great! We found that service of the servers and maids was commendable while main desk personnel were helpful. We were happy with this resort considering the price.

Wyndham Alltra Playa del Carmen: Each year, NEVER disappointed!

This is our third year staying at this resort~ it was Panama Jack’s for the first. Each and every year, the Wyndham Alltra in Playa del Carmen is improved upon, and their standards are impeccable. The beauty of the rooms, the cleanliness of the pools, the delicious cuisine, the little ‘extras’ provided, the entertainment, and the sheer effort to have the highest standards for the guests, is impressive. YOU make our Dia de los Muertos week sensational. Every year : ) It is perfectly situated also~ two blocks away from Cinco Avenida restaurants, shopping and festivities. Riu Flamingos: Amazing resort

The food/drinks/rooms were awesome!!! Food was so good…rooms very clean…overall staff was awesome and considerate…everything was great. We would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. RIU is an awesome brand..best ones we like

El Cid Hotel Marina Beach: Fantastic place to stay

This resort was a 10/10 for me! Fantastic food, beautiful pools, lots of great drink choices and our kids loved the slide and rock jumping pool. We can’t wait to back! I saw lots of bad reviews about the beaches but they were fine for us. The resort works so hard to make them as good as possible.

Ocean Coral and Turquesa: Great employees

Beach: The beach is very nice to go for a long walk. Food: In general the food is good to very good and the employees are dedicated to giving customers a good service. BAD: They have closed 2 outdoor restaurent/buffets and have limited access to one of the best outdoor ones which included a quiet pool area that is now part of the beso/priveledge group. We ended up eating most meals in the general indoor buffet area except for when we were able to get reservations for the restaurants.  [... read more] The bathrooms need to be redone (especially shower), same for the beds although some rooms have new mattresses and they seem to have started renovating a few rooms. The beach is now reduced to approximately 20-30 feet wide when the tide is low and can rise up to the beach chairs which are now right in front of the flower bed area. There is only one row of palapas available due to the loss of beach frontage.

El Dorado Seaside Palms: Fabulous resort

We loved everything about the Eldorado Seaside Palms. The resort is immaculate, staff are super friendly, the food is excellent other than lacking in choices at lunch. Dinners are great. The entertainment during Halloween and Day of the Dead was beyond spectacular. The Bali beds and loungers are plentiful and one never had to get up at the crack of dawn to “reserve” one. We will be returning for sure.

Bahia Principe Escape Sian Ka'an: Last minute trip!

All said this hotel was very satisfactory. It was a last min. Deal so for the price it was ok.I wouldnt call it luxury but beautiful weather and of course their employees were very helpful.good trip.🌴🌞🍦☕️🍺🇨🇦

This was the first time we booked vacation through trip central, very happy with the service from Beth & Manuela, thank you. The resort is beautiful, huge but very clean, the staff are really nice, helpful. Foods from buffets are tasty & lots of varieties. Room is clean but a little bit dated. Beach with white sands, no seaweeds, so amazing. Overall such a nice vacation so relaxed & happy. We recommend this resort.
