Iberostar Selection Varadero: Very Good Resort

Iberostar Varadero is a very good resort. I have decided to stay only in Iberostar group of resorts whenever I go to a destination serviced by this resort. Everything from the rooms, food, bar and the employees was excellent. I give a 5 start review. Raj

Villa Marina: Loved our stay!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. If you are going to party this isn't your place but if you enjoy a very relaxed, quiet, inexpensive holiday this is the place. We have been to many resorts in Cuba and I would say this is our favourite. It is relaxing, private, food was great (not a lot of selection but everything was delicious), service was the best as Juan is amazing! You can take a 10 minute bus ride to the sister resort (Playa Blanca, 5* for free and also a catamaran ride to the gorgeou [... read more]s beach but honestly, 6 out of 9 days we ended up just relaxing by the salt water pool. I absolutely recommend this resort if you aren't picky as this is Cuba. There is only one thing to get used to and is a negative, the water in the rooms is salt water and it stinks but it didn't bother us. I wish I was there right now:)

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Not a 5 star

The resort looked beautiful from the outside but once inside you could see it was falling apart. The people that work at the resort are friendly and helpful. The food was just ok. There was only 3 choices for al a carte restaurants and it is hard to get into because they have limited seating. The buffet staff were amazing but the food I find was recycled. No air conditioning in the buffet restaurant so it gets quite hot in there. The rooms were ok. The maid was attentive to my families need [... read more]s. The towels and sheets are laundered out of the resort so some days they didn't have towels to exchange. The entertainment was average. These are the people who are there to get you involved in the activities and poolside music was the same songs on replay. Throughout the resort you can see signs of disrepair. For resort that's fairly young, it shows much older. I have been to other resorts in Cuba with fewer stars and they faired better. In regards to this resort I don't think I will be returning. Cuba is a beautiful country and the people are hard working and friendly. It's a shame that they don't maintain their resorts a little better.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Very basic and very crowded

The hotel caters to families and it was quite crowded. The beach is not very inviting, rocky, darker hot sand. Food is very repetitive, "travels" from dinner to lunch and from lunch to dinner. Rooms are small and basic but AC works well. WiFI unpredictable and internet off most of the time. It was our second time at this resort and will be the last.

Iberostar Selection Ensenachos: Wonderful vacation

This resort its good for families with children. This was our fourth stay in this resort. We love it very much its a amazing place amazing beaches and as always stuff is wonderful.We come to this resort for relax. Cant wait to go back again.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Amazing Resort

The staff here are above amazing. Beautiful resort. Gardens are superior. Meals are fantastic, with Sandos our waiter you couldn't ask for better. Evening shows are great, The Lion King and Michael Jackson wonderful. Very large pool, always clean. Beach fantastic with a bit of coral to attract the fish. Security always on the beach. Rooms always clean, Maria was the best. Any problem in the room was fixed immediately. Overall I would rate Iberostar Costa Dorada above a 5 Star level.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: Wonderful resort, as expected from IB!

Well maintained resort. Beautiful grounds. Lots of pool chairs with shade available. Nice to be able to access a la carte restaurants on demand. Upper deck lounge a nice option to sit and watch the wonderful sunset. Staff friendly and helpful. Resort great for those seeking a quiet experience. Would return and definitely recommend.

Iberostar Selection Playa Mita: 2nd visit- great resort!

Great resort! Travelled as family with a 2-year old. Amazing hard-working people, very friendly. The only issue I had was not too many vegetarian choices at the buffet. We had a standart room, bathroom was a bit small.

Iberostar Selection Varadero: Amazing Resort with wonderful staff

We were there week of June 4, the resort is very nice and clean. The staff are all very friendly and always willing to help. The entertainment staff are amazing. Always kept us busy. Great selection of food.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Average resort

Although the staff was extremely up beat and helpful, it could not detract from the fact that the resort is dated and in need of a facelift. The food was decent and the buffet had a selection for everyone. I strongly reccomend that you try the Japanese restaurent at least once. The rooms were clean, however every morning I would wake up witha sore throat and believe that it is due to the cleanliness of the AC unit's filters. My major problem was with the pool. There was a continuous oily film on the water and debris that never seemed to leave...almost as if the filteration system was not working. The employees tried their best to clean the pool, but it never worked. In all, for the price I paid, I expected more.

Iberostar Waves Costa Dorada: Great resort

We stayed here May 31 to June 7. The hotel is very nice. The grounds are well maintained and the staff are very helpful. The food is excellent though we ate mostly at the buffet and only tried the Asian restaurant. The only place for improvement would be the quality of the beach which had lots of seaweed. Overall, you can't go wrong with this resort, especially for the price

Iberostar Origin Daiquiri: Cuba 2016

Smaller hotel that is right on the beach and has a lovely swim up bar pool. The food is decent and has lots of selection. For the rooms you will want to request an remodeled room. The snack bar does not exist anymore it is in the hotel lobby bar where you have a selection of sandwiches after 11pm.

Iberostar Waves Punta Cana: Awesome Place, Awesome People

An absolutely awesome resort! The food options, accommodations and staff were the best I've ever experienced! Even all the clouds and rain couldn't overcome my stay at Iberostar! I arrived last minute to surprise my best friend and family of almost 30, and celebrate dad's 90th! Mistakenly, I booked the Punta Cana and the group was at the Dominican. Without hesitation reception staff were willing to get me transferred to the next resort over. It was splendid. Fabulous week of family joy! And  [... read more]I was so lucky to experience it all at such a beautiful and accomodating resort! Slight issue on departure day when my ride to the airport didn't show. Many conversations with the bell boys, then suddenly realized my pick up location was never changed to the Dominican from the Punta Cana....where I checked in! Bell Hop guy quickly made a deal with another driver to get me to the airport as soon as possible. Just on time! The gardeners, cleaning staff of all kinds work hard and do amazing jobs throughout the resort. I definietely want to return with my family

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Better than expected

After reading several reviews before our trip, we weren't sure what to expect. Beautiful beach, pools, great entertainment, buffet food wasn't bad (just repetitive), a la carte at Japanese restaurant was really enjoyable. Most staff were friendly, but we found a few to be quite rude. We were disappointed with our room; the bed was hard and lumpy, the closet doors were broken, lock on bathroom door was also broken, the sheets on the bed and towels were not changed for the entire week, but mi [... read more]ni fridge was restocked as promised. Fortunately, the maintenance issues did not ruin our fun and we had a great week overall.

JOIA Bavaro by Iberostar: Over the top

I have never written a review but this resort is amazing, in every way. The rooms were so clean, I'm very picky but everything was super clean. Room service 24/7, order anything any time of the day and it will be warm and fresh. They don't expect tips and are super generous and kind to the guests. Dining was excellent, make reservations the day you land. Gomez the butler was spectacular, took us to the little village to get some souvenirs. Iberostar Waves Paraiso Beach: Very large and very clean

Friendly staff, asked for room close to lobby and was given room in Del Mar hotel so had to walk even farther to lobby. Great pools and beach. Average buffet, slow service. Lots of mosquitos. Well kept

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Ibero-mazing!

beautiful hotel...amazing staff...food soooo good!. have zero complaints...we will be back...stayed mid may for a week...amazing beach ..pool... and a lazy river...what else do you need???...easiest transfer we have ever had...we travel to all inclusive hotels every year for the last 23 years...i would recommend to all couples and family's...you can go cheaper but well worth the extra few bucks totally!!

Iberostar Origin Playa Alameda: ok for the money!

While the resort has aged, the people that work there are great! Food is actually better than most resorts I been to in Cuba as this was my 6th time. Facilities can use a refresh, some rooms have that wet smell but aside from that, place is great. The only con is how far it is from DT Varadaro!

Iberostar Origin Laguna Azul: Nice stay

This was as good a stay as I've ever had in Varodero. The pools and beach are beautiful. My only concerns are with the overall condition of the resort, I think "worn" is a good descriptor. The food is comparatively good for Cuba. The location is a bit far from downtown if that's important to you, a $20 cab ride.

Iberostar Waves Cozumel: Beautiful island

The hotel was good. Pool was great. Rooms were small and had a musty smell but overall a great vacation. We would love it if they added a bigger kids play area. There is only a small park and no water features.
