Grand Palladium Jamaica: Awesome resort

Only changes required more staff for drinks and upgrade in bathrooms ... not enough bars open line ups long for food and drinks... hotel was nice bathrooms need renovations as they are older and new mattress

Riu Reggae: Not for us!

Very disappointing stay. Other than a staff who do their very best we left wondering why RIU even bothered to build this resort. Such a small footprint there is no room to get away from the loud noise-- music, people, airplanes-- other than going to your room. Beach is tiny, water murky, sand everywhere,no shade, crowded loungers. Went for breakfast and headed for the RIU Montego Bay 5 minute walk to spend the day. Wish we had waited for reviews and would have known beforehand.

Iberostar Selection Rose Hall Suites: Amazing resort

The Iberostar Rose Hall suites Amazing place to stay. Booked with Sunwing The hotel was very clean, the staff were very friendly, the food was very good. I would definitely go back to Montego Bay Jamaica and definitely stay at the same resort IBEROSTAR ROSE HALL SUITES.

Secrets St James: Secret's St James

Surprised at the mini bar, only had a few beers, pop and water. Mini bar wasn't working (warm) and no bathrobes in the room. Called the front and they put in new fridge. Had to talk to the cleaning lady to get bathrobes.They tried a hard aggressive sell on packages for other resorts. There was 15 of us and we felt a little rushed at some restaurants even though they were half empty. Sent food back a couple of times to be warmed up.The bartenders at the pool bars were excellent.

Sandals Jamaica South Coast: Sandals South Coast Vacation in Paradise

This resort is the nicest we have ever visited. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are so friendly and welcoming. The resort accommodations are labelled in three Villages - Italian, Dutch and French. Each block of accommodations has their own pool and beachfront access. The food is amazing and the nicest part about dining in the speciality restaurants is no reservations required. The resort was full when we were there but it never seemed crowded. We loved that. Riu Ocho Rios: Good time

Everything good. Staff very good. It would be even better if you could go to the a la carte restaurants without waiting in line, but no a big deal since the buffet food was good. I found the flooring very slippery so I walked carefully. A piano bar would be a nice addition. Some of the evening performance was very good.

Fun Holiday Beach Resort: Awesome resort

Although this resort is a little dated, the staff are absolutely amazing. They do everything they can to make sure that you are enjoying your vacation. We arrived before check in time and they accommodate us right away. The food was very good for such a small resort. It is an all inclusive resort and if you are hungry between meal times you can order from the menu (at no extra cost!). Security was excellent. Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Overall, Great Experience!

We arrived at the hotel at 10:30 pm, the hotel had just experienced a massive storm. Our acceptance was welcoming however they were experiencing issues with food at that time because they had had no power all day. We arrived at our room which was delightful, beautiful view, very clean large king size bed, absolutely no complaints there. The beaches and pools are stunning, beautiful sands and lots of space. While there were many weddings going on this week there was always a chair by the pool or beach and you never felt the need to have to try to reserve a space. We attended with a group of about 54 people and nevery struggled to sit with a large group by the pool or beach. The hotel did have some issues as a result of the storm just prior to our arrival with rolling blackouts and water loss perodically throughout the entirety of our trip. With this being said we feel they made the best of it and did all they could to ensure we still had a good time. We ate a candlelit dinner at the buffet one night as a result of the power loss, but they always had food available. We also experienced loss of ac when the power was out but it was never uncomfortable. We had a wondeful time at this resort attending our friends beautiful wedding. While there were some hiccups along the way it was overall a great experience.

Nice staff and grounds, beautiful pool and nice restaurants. Bad experience overall due to frequent power outages causing no a/c , no water for shower or toilet. Also no windsurfing equipment available.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: We were ripped off!

We paid for an all inclusive trip but we didn't get that. The power was out all week from Saturday Dec 3 when we arrived right up until the last day Dec 10 when we left. Water wouldn't turn on, toilets wouldn't flush, couldn't take the elevator and he stairs were death traps at night as they were pitch black. No I wouldn't recommend this resort to my worst enemy. Oh ya and a security guard called me a piece of shit and pulled his baton on me for fishing in the ocean.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Great Time

The resort was dated and the power outages/no water for a few days was super inconvenient and irritating. Not impressed with that but the sun was shining and the drinks were cold, which made for a great week.

Grand Palladium Jamaica: amaising

I like the quality of the rooms, restorants,,bars, beaches. Only one suggestion. The deserts were not good. You need to offer fresh skuise juices at one of the bars all the time. Children and healthy eating people like me are used to do this in our dayly breakfast . You need to have honey too available for breakfast. Rest was grest I am happy with the gym.quite beaches.

Jewel Runaway Bay Resort: Terrific trip!

Traveled to Jewel Runaway Bay with my husband and 2 children (4&7). This resort came highly recommended and in most areas didn't disappoint. Food was very good. Stone oven pizza. Italian and Japanese restaurants. Buffet has A LOT of seafood and I'm allergic so there weren't many buffet choices, but there is no limit at the a la carte restaurants. Pool service was great. Buffet and restaurant service quite slow. Beautiful beach with on site snorkeling, but it isn't huge in case you want to go  [... read more]for a long walk. Several bars, including a swim up. Waterpark was terrific and is unlimited. Art hut with Clive at the beach was awesome and the kids loved it. The ride from the airport was 1 hr and 10 minutes, but the airport/ shuttle was so unorganized we didn't get to the resort until 3 hrs AFTER we landed which made for a very long day for the kids. No duty free store on site. Pasta bar only at the Italian restaurant. Would have been nice to have one in the buffet. The steel drum band was the best nightly entertainment. We didn't go off resort as the kids were too small for any good excursions. However, my husband and his friend walked past the beach/ property line and had conch for lunch one day. They said this was the best meal they had all week, despite being charged far too much. All in all, we had a great trip and would return.

Riu Reggae: Great Resort

The hotel was new, clean and very modern. The rooms were a bit small and the mattresses and pillows were very uncomfortable. The beach was small but being able to walk through the other resorts made it more enjoyable. The food was very good. The salad bar was well done. I love all Jamaican people and the staff was trying but still need to learn some skills. The shows were entertaining especially the Michael Jackson show.

Riu Reggae: It's Average

The Riu Reggae is overall an average hotel. Public areas are modern and sleek, but the rooms show signs of being rushed. Our room was cleaned between 4 and 6 pm every day, when we were tired and wanted some time to get ready for dinner. They either need more housekeeping staff or a better schedule. Pluses were the staff and the food - both amazing. Great selection of tasty offerings for all meals at the buffet. Roger at the jerk hut was great! Beach is small, man-made, and the "sand" is mainly c [... read more]rushed shells. Wouldn't stay here again as there is better value to be had in Jamaica, but if you get a good price go ahead and book! Good location close to the airport in Montego Bay.

Sandals Jamaica Dunn's River: Amazing Beauftiful Wonderful

The grounds were beautifully landscaped and grounds were constantly swept. We found the resort was very compact - not far to get from point A to point B. We were upgraded to concierge - Diamond acccommodation. The service was excellent. We were assigned to Sapphire accommodation. We asked to see these rooms. They did not hesitate. The view from the Sapphire rooms - gardens and ocean were nicer than our view. We did have the view of the ocean- but no gardens. The night we arrived we enjoy [... read more]ed outside Italian dining watching the super moon! The Japanese dining will not be forgotten. Food everywhere was excellent- especially the soups. We did not participate in the activities as we were there to relax. Last but not least - the staff - the staff - we were hoping that some of them would kidnap us!

Riu Reggae: Ok resort for the money we paid

Grounds very congested. Too many chairs in a small space. . Spent most of our time at Riu Montego Bay. Rooms were ok but followup from management re issues were not followed through i.e. 3 days to get blanket, mini bar filled once in 7 days . Some rooms made up some not at all. Food staff and bar staff were excellent. Food was ok buffet was as good as a la carts. Other than premium drinks at Reggea we enjoyed our time at Riu Montego Bay better as they had drink service around the pool and on th [... read more]e beach. Beautiful foyer and sitting area at Montego Bay as well as casino (small but fun) and excellent staff . Its new and hopefully they will work the bugs out.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Huge resort

I Brenda, found the resort to be very large(as I have a disability)but overall was very nice. Had a few days of mishaps, no AC for 2 days, and 1 day no hydro. There should be some generator backup, had to walk up 4 flights of stairs Food was good but restaurants where way to warm (complaint by most). Great beds.

Bahia Principe Explore Jamaica: Amazing resort with some hiccup's

The resort itself is beautiful, the staff are very friendly and accommodating. However, our week didn't go without a few hiccup's. When we arrived we needed to move to a different room with working air and one bed instead of two doubles. We were in our new room within 24 hours. The second and bigger hiccup was that we were without power for three days. One of the days turned out to be a rain day so we were left very limited activity options, the staff set up games in the lobby etc.though. The bi [... read more]ggest issue with no power for this long is washrooms and food. Washroom were not working and began to smell, and food was very limited. This was our second time to this resort and we had an amazing time and will go back again, as long as the power issues get sorted out.

Royalton Blue Waters: Amazing honeymoon and resort!

This hotel was just constructed and completed a couple months ago so rightfully so we were expecting some hiccups along the way. When we arrived it was like the place had been doing business for years already. The smallest hiccup was when checking in the front desk didn't have our diamond club and honeymoon package on their account. This was the only real thing close to an issue we had all week. The rooms were amazing. The resort was amazing and kept very clean the entire time. They had security guards almost everywhere so the place felt very safe. They had security even making sure the wrong people on the resort didn't go into other people's buildings. The beach was so nice and always clean. The water was a bit rough most days but that was minor to us. The food was amazing and we never got sick of it or sick from it. One very nice thing we noted was the quick 25 minute drive from the airport to the resort. Overall an amazing week and we couldn't have asked it to go any other way.
