Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Beautiful new resort

Beautiful, modern, family friendly resort. I’m a foodie and even I was impressed by the resorts food. Favourites were Rio and Hunter. Never a dull moment lots to do at the resort really enjoyed the lazy river and flow rider. Unfortunately our swim out was not heated but still enjoyable to lounge around while the baby was napping. Beach was well kept and the softest sand I have ever felt. Ocean however was very wavy difficult to swim in. Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Great resort!

We stayed at the Aquamarine last week for 7 nights and were very impressed. The resort is huge but we found it easy to walk around or use the frequent shuttles. The food and service were very good. The Aquamarine had a dedicated beach section that was also adults only which made finding chairs and relaxing very easy. Beachside bar service was good with ready access to the beach grill and washrooms. Nightly entertainment was good plus you could go to the other parts of the complex to view other entertainment. Overall a great resort that I would definately return to in the future.

Catalonia Bavaro Resort: Wonderful Vacation

We went as a group of 10 people with 2 babies in January for 7 days. The beach and pool were amazing. The weather was very warm. Feels like 31 or 32 degrees all throughout our stay. The food overall was good. The Italian, carribean and statehouse restaurant offered excellent dishes. The buffet was good as it gets for a buffet. The beach bar at the beach offered drinks and coffee, nutella and cheese crepes. The privilege beach bar was worth the upgrade amazing seating and view and opens till 12a [... read more]m. There is entertainment at the lobby every night from dancing to karaoke. The romantic room I stayed in with my husband had very lovely and romantic touches.

Lopesan Costa Bavaro Resort: Wonderful Resort

Being a new resort there is some work to be done, but overall I enjoyed my stay and the resort has everything to offer. The grounds and the water features are beautiful. The view from the room was everything we expected.

Bahia Principe Explore Esmeralda: Great resort

Very nice resort with lots of entertainment and great ela cartes. I recommend Brazilian and gardin grill. Love how close it was to the beach. Rooms are clean but need a small update. The staff is very friendly and very accommodating.

Impressive Punta Cana: Great Resort

There is nothing much to complain about at this resort. The rooms and facilities were extremely clean and maintained. We were really pleased with the clean bathrooms close to the beach area. The entertainment was good, staff was always friendly and polite. Manuel in the buffet is awesome. The workers were diligent in maintaining the beach and cleaning the seaweed. Our only complaint is that smoking is allowed in the dining facilities. We have recommended this resort to friends.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Great Family Resort

We just returned from 2 weeks at the Royalton Bavaro and had an incredible time. We traveled with a group of 9 people ranging from age 2 to 95. This resort literally had something for everyone and we covered the age spectrum. Wonderful beach, best food I've had at a resort, amazing activities. Probably wouldn't recommend it to couples but definitely great for families.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: First timer

The hotel itself was nice and clean. Some stuff needed updating but nothing that was detrimental to our stay. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and the beach was beautiful. Although there’s nothing specifically to complain about however we wouldn’t do this resort again. The pools are a little too small as is the resort.

Catalonia Royal Bavaro: Great time!

The Catalonia was a beautiful hotel. Well kept very clean but the best part was the staff. I travel a lot and the staff at the Catalonia was the best!! Erik the entertainment coordinator by the pool and piano bar made our trip! He was so fun and outgoing! Also Moses aka “pineapple head” was great! The pool bar staff was fun and attentive. Great Place, great food, great time!!!

Riu Republica: Beautiful modern resort

Resort was beautiful service was good but could have been better Reims were always cleaned and spacious very comfortable the alcohol was not the best but the most disappointing was that there were no À la cart restaurants all buffet food was decent but in Besides all that they had the best jerk Chicken on the resort by the beach !

Ocean Blue and Sand: Good, not great.

So let's start off with the drinks, unless your a premier member, top shelf drinks are NOT included. However being the avid partier that I am, the drinks that the staff made were delicious anyways. The grounds were very nice, with a few exceptions. In between building 8 and building 9, there's was a disgusting smell of raw sewage that you literally passed through unless you walked the exterior of the building. At one point we all got notices on our door of whether or not we wanted to ha [... read more]ve fumigation done. Thinking it was just a standard practice in hotels, I didn't give it much thought. However one of our friends who stayed on the lower floor walked out her door one night to see huge cockroach scattering. Talk about the heebie geebies. Be careful with the massages you book, they fail to tell you, but on contract you sign, if you miss your appointment or cancel, they try to still charge you half the amount. My wife argued until they gave in, but for someone not as assertive, they will sucker you. The food? I thought the food was great in the buffet and restaurants, I will say however that one of our friends got sick after eating in the Japanese place. 2 days later, another person (she hadn't eaten at the Japanese yet), then out last day, I also got sick. I mean stuck in the room as if I had the flu with severe pains in my upper abdomen. We found out that day 7 people were admitted to the hospital for food related illnesses. The excursions were a blast, but the people who actually work for the hotel, and stay in the lobby, although they say they give the best deals- that's false. We've found much better deals with guys on the beach, or guys floating around the resort. Our experience was alot of fun, mainly because of the company, but I definitely will not be returning to this hotel.

Impressive Punta Cana: Nice resort

Resort was clean, and the food was good. Only drawback was the aggressive time share employees that keep bothering us all week to the point of making us be rude to them. Fridge didn't work when we arrived and had to tell front desk 3 times before they sent someone so we didn't have cold drinks in our room.

Royalton Bavaro Resort and Spa: Wonderful vacation for 2

just returned from a one week stay, stayed ocean front in building 20, with fabulous view and sounds of the waves from our balcony. Resort was very clean and well kept, lots of activities and endless dining options to suit your carvings, from food trucks of convenience, and the fabulous smelling grill near the lazy river, lunches at the beachfront restaurant and the fine dining experiences of the a la carte options in the evenings. Lots of nightly entertainment and great atmosphere in the evenings, tons of seating for people watching or enjoying the lobby singer/entertainers. Many bars to serve your needs as well throughout the resort, as its a big resort. They loved shaking the margaritas up! We have traveled south over a dozen times and this resort would rate as one of the best, loved the no towel card and the room key wrist bands, there was lots of seating around the pools, no towel reserving chair game, however I do think this happened with beach seats. The beach is beautiful and you can walk for miles, with the warm breeze and hot sun, clean beach and waters. We loved the closeness/proximity of the pool and the beach so you could easily switch up from one to the other to cool off or split up your day, The lazy river was also a beloved option, Jhonny the bartender at this river pool bar was always smiling and happy to see you. Waiter service at the beach and pool was regular enough, restaurant service could have been a little quicker in some places but we didn't mind as we were on vacation time and no where else to be, just have another drink while you wait. It is a heavily populated resort for families, we knew this when we booked, it didn't hinder our trip by any means, but with the multitude of available pools , my only suggestion would be an "adults only" designated one, it is hard to nap poolside or chill in the water with kids jumping in and diving or screaming lol, not a deal breaker by any means but it may be a welcome change for the adults, such as us whom are travelling without our children. Overall I would, and already have recommended this resort to others!

Riu Republica: Party place

For those who like to have dance and party this one for you. I was here for a week and had great 4 dance parties (I skip disco part9at pacha) namely beach party, jungle party, white party and pink pool party. They really know how to trough a great party with great music. Food was ok for me, could be worse. My personal favorite is the jerky chicken near the beach and the steak restaurant. Could be too noisy for those who happen to have room near the big show place but all done by 23.30.  [... read more] Clean room but the fan in my bathroom was not working dso when take shower bathroom turn into sauna. Bring your own shampoo... Check what parties they have so you will have the right outfit to wear for the party.

Bahia Principe Escape Aquamarine: Amazing Girls Trip

What an amazing resort! The beach is stunning and kept very clean if seaweed. The property and pool areas are beautiful, service and food were beyond excellent. Felt very safe and staff were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely go back and recommend.

Excellence Punta Cana: super fantastic staff

This resort is beautiful. Not alot of stairs or walking to get from one place to another. Beach is close to hotel as well. The ambiance in the restaurants could be a little more suited to each theme, but the food was great, so nothing to complain about. The best note on this property would have to go the staff. there was not one face that did not have a smile. Staff happy to help in any way they can. Wyndham Alltra Punta Cana: Wonderful relaxing week

The grounds were beautiful and impeccably kept. Pool was great and very short distance to the ocean. Food was excellent, the rooms need to be updated but were still very comfortable. We had asked effulgence time in our mini honeymoon moon with our daughter . Everything was in short walking distance. We would go back!:)

Hyatt Zilara Cap Cana: A wonderful stay

This resort was wonderful. From the food quality to the stunning beach I would highly recommend it. I have been to a lot of 5 star and the Hyatt Zilara is one of my favourite. I would recommend to book Club Access and enjoy the perks of breakfast and lunch at their club member only, access to the Bongo Lounge with high end liquor brand and to the Pool area which is really relaxing and less crowded than the activity pool. I have booked a club access Junior king swim up suit but unfortunately they [... read more] are in the building 6 which are in the shade all day. Wonderful room though and great in-room a la carte for late night snack.

Majestic Colonial Punta Cana Beach Resort: Loved it!

Beautiful grounds, fantastic food & wonderful staff. Our Butler Renaudo was simply the best. Would definitely recommend him and this Resort. Our favorite restaurant was the Japanese which was not only fantastic food but great entertainment as well.

Ocean El Faro: Great hotel

Nice place to stay, relax and to forget averting from home. Nice restaurants for dinner, even for late one ( we came at 10 pm and could still have a dinner). Every pool has its own bar. Really love the fruits there, they taste amazing. But the rest of the food was not so good :( Room was huge with nice balcony, cleaned daily.
