Grant Muthu hotel resort The resort are always beautiful, water, staff working really hard work always and happy service we love to come back every year., the only one thing there is the foods wish if they can improved it: SUNWING Flight is problem.

Grand Memories Varadero: Not worth the money

Visited in august. Rooms very dirty. The house keeper was not listening to my request to simply sweep the floors. Absolutely disgusting finding dirty qutips in my bathroom on the day of arrival. Door frame was broken to the point that my doors wouldn’t lock, and if they did close i was not able to open it and most of the time had to use my patio doors to get back inside. Servers would pass by me and not offer any drinks or coffee at the breakfast. Just overall its not worth the money they are charging.

Melia Marina Varadero: good

Except food all are good. People of Cuba are so nice and friendly behavior. Nice transportation. Beach are so good. Delphine right are excellent Entertainment are so nice. Location of the Hotel very good for communication. Travel to other city very nice with in two hour which is cooperating by the management staff to enjoy other destination.

Vila Gale Cayo Santa Maria: Good Resort

The beach is amazing but not the rooms or units > almost all rooms for all of us are leaking and smell molds. Also, the food in buffet are the same for a week and no difference in their a la carte. Customer Service of the Managers were good but not impressive. Will not take an extra mile to help customers.

Selectum Family Resort Varadero: Beautiful New Resort

After searching the web for weeks, we landed on Selectum Varadero. Modern, clean, friendly resort close to the airport. The only downfall was that they have not yet fully prepared their beach so it was a little rocky, nothing a pair of crocs/water shoes couldn’t fix. Highly recommend this resort to anyone looking for a week away in the sun!

Melia Las Antillas: Would not return :(

The hotel itself is beautiful - the atmosphere, the beach, the pool. One issue was with the food - no condiments of any kind (salt, sugar, salad dressing, ketchup)...long line ups at the buffet on the days when eggs were available. The food selection was extremely poor and unrecognizable. The a la carte restaurants were much better. The bars often ran out of main ingredients. The Sunwing representative appeared at the hotel when it fit his schedule. More importantly, guests were categorized  [... read more]by their bracelets. Sunwing's orange bracelet made me feel like I was in steerage - blue bracelet people were given much more attention and service (they had paid for the bigger rooms). My first room smelled - it was dark (many broken lights, dirty)...took 3 days before they found me another room! The entertainment team was terrible - I didn't really see anyone throughout the week. The nightly shows were blah. Very few people were at the hotel and I know why. I've been to Cuba many times and never had an experience like this - definitely would not go back to this hotel ever!!

Memories Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing resort

VERY nice resort, great ambiance, beautiful beach with clear water. Food was delicious and well presented. The room could use a fresh coat of paint. Nice pool area, snack bar and restaurants. The buffet had a variety of food, the Diamond Club was worth the money.

Iberostar Coral Esmeralda: 100% YES

We upgraded to Coral Level. We were celebrating our 30th anniversary. Loved that it was smaller. Roof top room was beautiful. Pool was great. Staff was fantastic. Beach was STUNNING! Will be planning a return trip. 1.25 hour ride from airport.

Marazul Hotel: Not recommended

I used to go to this hotel several times per year. On the negative side, there are a few things to be said. The rooms need to be updated. The A/C was leaking water. There was mold in the bathrooms. The washrooms, close to the pool, did not have toilet paper. Food was of poor quality - no variety; every day the same thing, cooked the same way, and many times not tasty. There were days when essential things were missing, (e.g. napkins). Some newer, younger servers did not seem to car [... read more]e if there were or not glasses or cutlery on the tables. It is obvious they needed training. On the positive side, must say that in general people were quite pleasant. Older, seasoned servers (in the restaurant and at the bar), reception, hotel security staff, and the people taking care of the grounds, were pleasant, courteous, very friendly. As I used to come to this place quite often, must say that I have seen an improvement, in that both elevators were working 24/7, and there were no instances of blackouts.

Melia Peninsula Varadero: Very nice just a few things that needed changing

We arrived at 5 o’clock first couple got a room by 7 all luggage was put in that room ( there was 8 in our group) then my daughter and I got a room at approximately 8 ish and the last 4 didn’t get there room until 12 o’clock had to move everything at that time because no one working to help the rooms were very big and clean the pool area was always clean having a lunch hut at the pool was very nice nice short walk to the ocean

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Awesome Resort

I loved this newish resort. The staff was always kind and friendly. The rooms were cleaned every day. You get new bottled water and bathroom towels daily. Leave them tips in the form of CAD and USD notes. The public restrooms were some of the cleanest I have seen anywhere. There are many bars and food places located at the beachfront and swimming pool areas. The workers are super friendly and welcoming. Make sure you bring lots of bug spray, sun screen, and after-bite products. Bring some spi [... read more]ces if you don't like bland food. Download some TV shows or movies to watch when you wind down the day. The TV channels are mostly in Spanish. There are lots of flies because of the heat and salty air from the ocean. Overall, I enjoyed my week-long stay here, and I would definitely come back for a two-week stay. If any resort workers see this message, i would love to stay thank you so much for everything you guys did. You all work so hard and deserve all the praise.

Grand Memories Santa Maria: Amazing beach…. and that’s it

I’ve never traveled to a resort in the off season. I will definitely do it again. Didn’t have to fight for a lounge chair or stay in a huge line at the buffet. But I don’t think I’ll be going to this resort again. There was nothing to do except go to the beach or pool. No games room or air conditioned cafe/lounge. Nowhere to escape the heat. Most resorts I’ve been to have pool tables or ping pong tables. The food was exactly the same for EVERY MEAL. Zero variation. There was very li [... read more]ttle fresh fruit or vegetables. BRING YOUR OWN TOILET PAPER. I’m not kidding, none of the public area washrooms had any. I had to bring a roll of toilet paper with me from the room.

Grand Aston Cayo Las Brujas: Will not be going back to this resort

We've been to Cuba couple of times and always loved it. We chose this hotel because of the high reviews, but what a disappointment. Food was awful, buffet had not many choices. Bar had not much variety of cocktails or even soft drinks. Some of the staff was rude. Some of the reception staff was annoyed that we were asking questions. No good info/communication about the hotel amenities or simple info such as number for reception. Nightly entertainment was pretty much not existing. Other than that room was pretty clean and nice size, housekeeping was excellent. Ladies at the adult only restaurant were amazing. Food at a la carte was ok but excellent service. Beach was amazing.

People’s are friendly,Resort was nice and cleaned also food was good too.They have to improved in drink and add more sport activity and swimming pool activities also night entertainment.this resort has not souvenir store so that’s missed in resor otherwise resort is good and nice view for sunrise.

Grand Memories Varadero: Great beach and amazing entertainment crew!

Our family vacation at Grand Memories Varadero was truly amazingly! The entertainment crew specially Liliana and Eliecer were such great hosts. Very friendly and helpful. The beach was gorgeous. Couldn't have asked for anything more. We had great memories to bring back to Canada!

Melia Costa Rey: Needs lots of maintenance

This resort has a great beach and swimming pools but needs an enormous amount of maintenance and care. To start with our check in took forever (more than 1hr) by very unfriendly reception staff,he would not accommodate me in a close room as I am a senior and didn’t seem to be understanding or listening, I had to carry my luggage as I arrived at night and the resort elevator was not working for the entire 7 days. Food at the buffet was less than average but the worst was the LONG lines to get  [... read more]in for the food that you can eat, meat is so thick and unchewable, what was not acceptable was the cockroaches and flies that I saw make you sick and not be interested in eating.Internet connection is a disaster and cuts off . Always needed to go to reception to get more time. Rooms are smelly and I saw a cockroach in it. I found that the staff at the reception and the snack bar were very rude and unfriendly unlike the guy at the beech bar on the right side of the beach and the cappouchino lady. The door key repeatedly didn’t work and needed to be recharged. If you want to go there bear in mind that the beach and the pool are the best thing you can enjoy. If I followed the many negative reviews for that resort I wouldn’t have gone there.

Grand Aston Cayo Paredon Beach Resort: Nice hotel

It’s a brand new hotel so it was clean. Staff is super friendly and always ready to make you happy. Food! Well it’s Cuba! There was a variety of choices but the same thing everyday at the buffet. We did a la carte and my favourite was the Mexican. Food was tasty and super nice waiters. The Asian was ok and I heard the Italian was not too good. The only shortage I found was toilet paper. Rooms are super clean, we were in bloc 4. Had the best view of the ocean, pools and resort. Only [... read more] 1 elevator working, so has to take the stairs to the 4th floor. The beach is absolutely stunning, no seaweed, nice bartenders and fresh churros, mangos and coconut. My only negative point about this hotel is they have no night entertainment. Very short half hour and more of a kid friendly entertainment. So if you don’t mingle with people at the bar in the lobby it’s boring. Thankfully we met amazing people and made our own fun.

Playa Cayo Santa Maria: Great time

I enjoyed my stay at Playa Cayo Santa Maria. Staff is friendly - The server who typically works by the beach buffet named Raul was amazing. He was so friendly and welcoming, he really made mine and my groups time at the resort a pleasant experience.

Paradisus Rio De Oro: Amazing Resort!

It was my first time in Cuba and I had great, relaxing experience while staying at the resort. Very friendly staff, outstanding services, spa, food and drinks, spectacular entertainment team and live performers.

Villa Marina: Excellence in progress

This little resort adjacent to the Marina and village offers a home quality stay. Indeed improvements to restaurant menus, entertainment options, taxi services all need to keep getting better, to ensure patrons have island mobility. Having the a la carte options to book at other hotels or the adjacent tavern is spectacular. Also to ensure that there are some "safe" water sports offered and supervised...respectful of marine wildlife. There is no reason that patrons should feel limited. Scooter [... read more]s should be hubbed and available for rent at this area too. Music needs to be played during the day. An additional outdoor coffee/bar/ snack area should be available until midnight. Games, billiards, etc. need to be more available, especially if children were present.
