Riu Palace Antillas: Everything good but Room are dated.Rooms are not RIU Palace standard and more like Super 8

Over all: ====== RIU PALACE Antillas is OLD building converted to RIU with some effort. Pay little more and go to RIU palace. My Agent stated this is better than RIU Palace but he is wrong. All Amenities in Entire resort were good, except inside the room. Lobby smells as soon as you come out of elevator. Hope they update all rooms. They just removed carpets and added hardwood and called it as upgraded room....!!!!!

Riu Palace Antillas: Great time

We were at the resort the first week of May. Positive - the resort was immaculate. The staff in all areas was efficient, polite and accommodating. The room was clean and fresh. The fridge restalked daily. The food was good. Check-in was fast and easy. Check-out the same. Had use of the facilities at the Riu Palace which was nice in the evenings. Walking distance to shopping off the resort. We were able to get into the steak house at a decent hour but I'm sure it was the time of year; it was  [... read more]first come, first serve for all al a cartes. Although we were at the beach early there was no problem with people getting chairs at the beach throughout the day. Not a fan of high rise hotels in the Caribbean but there are 5 elevators and they are fast once you request one. No one was in your face trying to sell something - souvenirs, services or time shares. Negative - there are 2 bars by the beach - a beach bar which was open 10:00 am to 6 pm. and a patio type bar close to it open 12:00 pm to 12:00 am. Unfortunately one night it closed at 5:00 pm and one day it did not open at all. Disappointing because it's a nice quiet place by the beach for grabbing a drink on the way back to your room after a day at the beach or for an after dinner drink; no notice was provided. This left the lobby bar or the disco bar if you are interested. We went to the Riu Palace for drinks after dinner those nights. The resort indicates there are 4 al a carte restaurants but only 3 were open during the week; the 4th one was only open Saturday and Sunday the week we were there. No reservations at any al a cartes - again I assume the time of year.

Divi Aruba Beach Resort: Great Resort

Very nice resort. Extremely friendly and helpful staff, very clean, great beach. Some restaurants were better than others but acceptable food at all. Main bar in lobby always slow service but every other bar was quick. Housekeeping did a great job every day

Riu Palace Antillas: Perfect Honeymoon

The Riu Palace Antillas was absolutely fantastic. The hotel was modern and clean. We always ate at the buffet as the selection of food was phenomenal and provided vegetarian options. The grounds were clean and staff took pride in providing excellent customer service. We spent most of our time on the beach and swimming in the ocean. The white sand and turquoise water were breathtaking. We were very happy with the entire process, from booking to coming back home and everything in between. Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort: Amazing experience @ Renaissance Aruba resort

The Renaissance hotel's rooms at bothe side of the resort are renovated and they are clean. The beach and the grounds are very clean and well maintained. Every time that we go there we see changes and improvements. The service at the restaurants and bars It is great. The staff is very genuin helpful any given time. We loved the most the Aquarius and Papagajo restaurants. All staff know you and your requests without asking. During your stay you are under the impression that you are visiting a big family. This is one happy island and one of the kind hotel. The management of the resort it is very open minded and knows how to please visitors. I been in so many other places beach or other vacations, caraibein islands, like st Barth, st marten, Anguilla, Phuket, Greece and Italy beaches, but the service in Aruba it is in s different level. I consider myself lucky to be introduced and be able to come and spend my vacations in this wonderful resort that I give 6 stars if the highest rating is five stars. Riu Palace Antillas: Great spot. We had a great time

The hotel was very good. The restaurants, especially the steak house were exceptional. We had a great time. The beach was very nice. The pools were okay, need to be cleaned during the day. Would highly recommend.

Riu Palace Aruba: Beautiful Resort

We loved the view from our balcony! We spent most of our day at the beach in the ocean. We were walking distance to the Buttery Farm, the market in town and the Bird Observatory tower. Great Location!

Riu Palace Antillas: Good Resort

The Riu Antilla is great as you still have access to the family friendly resort next door. The only complaint we have it that the fire alarms starting going off one night for a few hours and management never gave anyone an answer even though there were tonnes of people in the lobby. Other than that, the private villas are definitely worth the upgrade and the variety of food available is great.

Divi Aruba Beach Resort: Great vacation

The Divi Aruba is the perfect spot for a quiet relaxing vacation in the sun. Never having been to Aruba before, we were a bit concerned it would be too hot there. But the constant trade winds made it comfortably warm all the time. The Resort has several pools and bars, as well as a lovely buffet and 3 great a la carte restaurants. The staff is friendly, the place is nice and clean and the beach is awesome. It's a perfect location for families and couples. Not a real party place which was just [... read more] fine with us. The Red Parrot a la carte was good enough for us to go back twice! Every evening there is a band or singer playing by the beachside bar, which we enjoyed. For a mere $10 cab ride, we went offsite to the nearby cruise port of Oranjestad for a half day of shopping. We didn't try any of the excursions as the beach and 'floating and bobbing' in the waves, were exactly what we had in mind this vacation. The pools are all closed from 7 pm to 7 am, which is disappointing if you enjoy swimming at night. Otherwise we wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Divi Aruba to anyone wanting a comfortable, safe and wonderfully relaxing vacation in the sun.

Riu Palace Antillas: expected more

The rooms need to be updated!!! There is carpet is the hallways, and has a distinct smell. Food is good. The downside is you can't make reservations for the a la carte restaurants. they are first come first serve...which was a problem for us as we like a later dinner. The beach was amazing. Easy to get to downtown area, just take the bus

All Inclusive Resort stay After reading some reviews about this Resort I wasn't certain what would await me. Checkin was quick and easy although it was a Sunday. He rooms were ok. If there was anything that would elevate this property it would be to refurbish the room. Even some little details. Example , our soap dish had chips on the side. The food and drink in the all inclusive were perfect. We basically had access to everything, from delicious buffet breakfast to the Steakhouse ( our favorite) I would definitely recommend the all inclusive. Transportation to and from the airport was provided by Nexis Tours. On our return to the airport we had to take a cab, as the bus was too late. We (8 of us) were reimbursed by cash by a Nexis agent at the airport who apologized and said that an accident caused the pick up bus to be late. We were impressed by the service they gave us.

Riu Palace Antillas: Best Trip Ever....Amazing Resort and Staff

This hotel was an extremely fun resort...The food was amazing at all restaurants,, the Arubian Restaurant was ok... The Rooms are very clean. The Staff was amazing...in all area's...Especially at the Lobby bar..Narada, hope I spelled it correctly, Luis, Elsa and Tonia were amazing and fun. Too much Fun.. Can't wait to go back.. Even when I had to change my key many times they were more than courteous and apologetic .. Looking forward to seeing our new friends at the Riu soon Frank

Riu Palace Aruba: Fantastic!!

Everything about this hotel was 5 star! Food was fantastic, drinks abundant, kind and extremely courteous staff! Grounds were immaculate and the beach was out of this world! A wonderful vacation and one that we will plan again!

Tamarijn Beach Resort: Aruba Sun, Sand & Sea

My 13 year old daughter and I just returned from a perfect week at the Tamarinj & Divi all inclusive resort. The vast white sand beaches, turquoise waters and billowing breeze were the highlight. We had long beach walks and many swims in the pristine sea. While accommodations were basic, they were comfortable and clean. There were 5 a la carte restaurants to choose from- we went to The Red Parrot, Gingers, and Pure LIme and loved them all. Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort: Great Stay

Excellent hotel for adults looking for an urban/beach holiday. No direct beach access, but the water taxi and private island fill the void well. Pool area was good - but they could change up the unrelenting electronic music. Food and drinks were very good - we did the all-inclusive and it never had that "all inclusive buffet" feel. Staff are lovely and helpful and room was small but clean and best of all - not musty!

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Resort

We were guests from March 4 - 11, 2017. Very good resort in all categories. Guests could partake in activities and buffets at the Riu Palace next door. Nightly entertainment was average, however the circus act one night was excellent. Food and drinks were excellent. Specialty restaurants took no reservations and were on a first come first serve basis. If you lined up about 1/2 hour before 6:30 pm opening you were assured a table, if not, you needed to wait until 8:00 pm for a sitting. Riu Palace Antillas: Repeat customer

This is the third year that I have been to the Antillas. As usual we had a wonderful week at this resort. The food at the buffets and restaurants were very good. They served some some nice Chilean wine with the meals. We often would have meals at the Riu Palace. The pools at the Antillas and at the Palace are lovely. If you like swimming laps go over to the Palace and you can make a 25 metre lane for yourself. I would often go there @ 8am in the morning and I was the only one in the pool.  [... read more] It is kept at a good temperature. If you have a choice for rooms pick ocean view (rooms with even numbers) preferably above the 10th floor. I will be back next year!!

Bucuti and Tara Beach Resort: Lovely, Relaxing Vacation

This review is a little slow in coming. My Husband and I went to Bucuti Beach Resort in Aruba in November 2016 and enjoyed a blissfully peaceful vacation - no loud music, comfortable beach loungers (with pads !!) that had a flag you would raise and a waiter would appear to take your order. We ate lunch every day on the beach. Our room was lovely - they have renovated recently and it shows (weird TV in the mirror in the bathroom though - not sure why you would need one there). They did come up [... read more] a bit short on the breakfast (which is included) - I was expecting a lot more since they advertised organics and fresh foods (tater tots were the morning potato for at least 3 of the 7 mornings), and we weren't very keen on the menu for dinner so we went out a lot (Manchebo next door has a lovely restaurant). The romantic dinner on the beach was lovely - and the menu there was very nice. Would we return?? not sure, the hotel and staff were fabulous, ARUBA is guaranteed hot and sunny which is why we went, but we aren't keen on casinos (I might try one IF they could have a smoke-free one), and all the large hotels at the top end of the island make it feel like Las Vegas and not a Caribbean island.

Riu Palace Antillas: Great Resort

We had a good time. Hotel was very clean and the food was excellent. The room was good, clean and good sound proof for sleeping. Staff were very cordial and polite. Restaurants were great with good service and good food. We came across a few incidents in the main buffet restaurant. My husband was not feeling well and we had to ask three times to have a cup of tea. Finally I had to go to look for the supervisor to ask for the tea. At the same night room was very cold and my husband was not [... read more] feeling well we called for room service for an extra blanket we waited for one hour no one showed up so I had to call again, and raised a complaint finally it arrived. The morning we had to leave (Saturday the 4th) we called for room service for breakfast. What we ordered was not completed I think some of the staff must have better training to serve the patrons, maybe they are new and have a language problem in understanding the English words. Other than that the hotel is a great hotel and we will recommend it to friends

Renaissance Wind Creek Aruba Resort: Trip of a life time!

The hotel is so very well situated. Right in town, for shopping ( jewelry anyone?) big name designer clothes , souvenir markets. You have so much fun and feel safe there.We did an utv tour - what a blast !!!!! We' re looking forward to going back!
