Viva Wyndham Fortuna Beach: Great Visit

The overall resort was great. It wasn't 5 star, but we knew that going in. It had some nicer rooms, but because we had kids, they had put us in the older rooms and our room needed some small maintenance. The food was great, drinks were plentiful and it was a blast for my family and our friends.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Honest Review

Service excellent Room cleanliness: satisfactory. Hair on toilet, washroom, hair dryer on arrival. Not cleaned well. Toilet: When flushing, it doesn’t flush completely. Need new system. A magot in toilet found. Hotel: Smells aged, musky rooms. Food: Excellent Pools: Nice. Infinity pool a bit too crowded and small. Activities: Need indoor playroom for bad weather. Maybe a pool table would be good. Entertainment: Satisfactory. I liked the variety.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Amazing food quality, great beach, and surprising extras!

It was a 15 min shuttle ride to the hotel from the airport. We took Sunwing and had no issues. Check in was straight forward. Note, they will take, $200 deposit on a credit card and I think they made copies of our passports (took them to the back and then came back). Our room was ready at 11am (bonus). All rooms face the ocean we were on the 5th floor and our king bed room was great. The toiletries were a decent size and replenished daily, the mini bar and water were included and restocked daily [... read more] (Heineken and they even put some chip snacks), coffee maker, better than average hair dryer too. Room was always cleaned and was clean, modern, and kept up. To go in the elevator to your room you have to scan your card. Pillows were too soft for my liking, but my son loved them. WiFi was FREE in the room, all over the property, at the beach, at the gym etc. What a great bonus! The lobby area smelled fresh every morning (bleach clean), the property isn't as big as other resorts in the caribbean, but I guess it's because Bahamas is smaller? Not complaining. There was an adult pool, kids pool, two hot tubs near the beach. Lots of chairs and shaded areas. No one bothering you to pay to move your chairs. Water activities included are stand-up paddle boarding, kayaking, and snorkeling. All equipment was in good condition. Their beach water area was roped off which I quite liked. The beach was white sand, minimal seaweed, water was a little cold, but fine after entering. The food was amazing! Ok, they have the main buffet area on the first/ground floor and was not bad for breakfast. The usual stuff, good quality fruit, smoothies made on the spot, yogurts etc. The Beach Grill was great for lunch. They take your order so no risk of buffet stuff sitting out too long. I tried the ceviche and mahi mahi fish - amazing! Third best ceviche I've ever had (first is mine of course, second in Galapagos, Ecuador). They have 5 a la carte restaurants. You were allowed to book one for each night you were there (unlike some resorts that limit you to 2 per week in other parts of the caribbean|). We did the steakhouse (the only one that was extra), my son had the steak and said it was great, I had the fish - a bit overcooked and the mac and cheese was tasteless. The italian place was amazing. I had the fettucini and my son had the margherita pizza and it was really delicious. The mexican place was better than I expected. Again, another great ceviche (different from the grill place) and I had the fish. It was much better cooked. They gave us some guag and chips an my son had quesadillas and they were great as well. On the last day we tried the lobby resto EstaVida that serves tapas. It was alright, great ambiance on the nights. The drinks were great. They had premium brands to choose from. The pool bar even had PAPER straws. With all the plastic straw issues, I thought that was an amazing statement to make to your clients. They had ping pong, basketball, and some pool side quizes. In the lobby area next to the Starbucks (yes they have a starbucks - I think it's extra charges) they have a huge connect four, jenga, and board games. The gym was the best to date from all the places I have been to in the caribbean. Modern equipment, good size, many machines. Eliptical trainers, tred mills, arm and leg machines, all weight sizes, TVs, towels, fruit water, yoga mats, etc. It's on the far SE area of the hotel (on first floor - which is kind of their basement area). It's in a secluded area, but there is a phone and a rep came in to check about each hour. There are shops in the lobby area too. Overall, I would recommend this to friends and family and will be back. My picky son liked it the best out of all the times we have done AI too - probably for the wifi. The condition of the hotel is american standards. It doesn't resemble the usual run down hotels we have all experienced no doubt. I think you will be pleasantly surprised. All the staff were friendly and helpful. A true 4 star property.

Warwick Paradise Island: Impressive Customer Service

We didn’t know what to expect from this resort, but for what it is we were satisfied. Food was decent as resort food goes (minus the ice cream machine that never seemed to have ice cream left!), the pool was well taken care of, the beach is nice but it is a small man-made lagoon, drinks were premium brands and generous. The most impressive part was the customer service, the entire staff were friendly and welcoming, always asking how service was or if we had any concerns.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Great resort

Hotel was wonderful. Clean exactly as described. Staff was very helpful. Pool and activities were as expected. Atlantis hotel was nice and close. We did find it strange that you can not make reservations for supper. Wait times were too long. We will be visiting another RIU soon. Thank you.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Beautifully Renovated Hotel

My Husband and I took a short trip here last week. The hotel was beautifully renovated, had two nice pools and the beach. The food from the buffet was delicious, and we were always excited about what they would have for each meal as it was always different(which we have found with some other Riu’s That we have stayed in that it can be repetitive. We walked over to the straw market which is their downtown area from the hotel. It was only about a 30-40 minute walk, and it was a decently nice one. Felt safe, and got some exercise in. Could have taken a taxi, but we enjoy seeing a destination for all it is. We did take the ferry back just to enjoy a different view which was only $4 per person a ride. So value for money for sure. However the themed restaurants food weren’t all that exciting, and they don’t take reservations so it’s all on a first come first serve basis. Nothing worth standing around for 45 for. The buffet was much better in my opinion. The beach had a very strong undertow so the 2/3 full days we were there the flag was red and we couldn’t go in the water so it was slightly limited there. Everyone at the hotel was super nice, and friendly. All in all, the value for money was impeccable.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Rieu Palace Paradise Island was amezing

I would fully recommend this resort. the food is amazing the people are great the hotel is very clean the pool is amazing the only think the beach needs to be a little better there is to much of a dip.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fabulous resort

We loved our stay at the Riu Palace Paradise island. Our room was large, clean and very comfortable. The resort is beautiful, well laid-out. We loved having the option of the two pools and the beach so close-by. We've been to many resorts and the beach at the Paradise Island is one of the nicest and the staff the nicest. They were just awesome and really made our vacation. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would come back ourselves.

Breezes Bahamas: STAYED DEC 25, 2018 TO JAN 1, 2019

To start the weather wasn't good when we arrived. The first 4 days were very windy and off and on rain. The last 3 days were sunny. We had a ground floor pool view with terrace which we asked for. Bed was comfy. Room could have used a really good cleaning ie: drapes, sheers & floor around the baseboards. Food was good. Beautiful beach. They could use a beach bar as there is only 1 bar around the pool. Wish they would use reusable plastic cups instead of the disposable ones. We brought o [... read more]ur own cups. They went all out on the New Years party with live band and Junk a Roo parade. All in all we made the best of it. You can tell this resort is geared for the spring breakers. Would not return to this resort. Maybe if the weather had been better I would have given a better rating.

Pelican Bay: Pelican Bay was Great

The rooms were nice, however the floors were dirty. They left your feet dirty walking barefoot. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was good and had ample selection. The location to the square was close and the square had a wide variety of food options.

Pelican Bay: Pelican Bay Freeport, Bahamas

The Pelican Bay is an older hotel undergoing significant renovations. Areas previously renovated were very attractive. Our room was next to be done. While there, we found it less than clean. However, because of the wonderful staff, the location of the hotel (within a few minutes' walk to excellent restaurants), and the anticipation of upgraded rooms, we would absolutely return.

Breezes Bahamas: Awesome place

We wer pleasantly surprised when we arrived.. More than we expected as from previous reviews we had the impression it was a dated hotel It isn't..maybe they had renovations..but it is beautiful..nit luxury But for the price ..(time of the year, Christmas) it is worth it Place was clean..staff and service were excellent , room was lovely eso the pool n of an view room. Riu Palace Paradise Island: Very good resort

This resort was really good... The breakfast, jerk chicken lunch and a La cartes were amazing. All the workers were really friendly especially LG and keno they were really helpful and friendly. Would recommend this resort

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Fantastic! My second visit!

I liked this Riu so much I returned again this December. It is about a 3-3.5 hour flight and a 45 min from the airport so it’s great for a quick getaway. Both times I chose the Thursday - Sunday option and considering it again next year. Food and beverage - pretty great, a huge variety of items to choose from. Amazing salad bar, always meats, cheeses, fish, chicken, vegetables, pizza, pasta, paninis, bruschetta, seafood, fresh fruit, ice cream,you name it! The beverages are the best that [... read more] I’ve had at any all inclusive type resort (I’ve also traveled to Jamaica/Dominican/ Mexico/Cuba so I have experienced many). They have a martini bar and make a mean Espresso Martini! You can get lattes, espresso, or cappuccino every morning and throughout the day as there’s a coffee bar that’s open in the lobby. I’m pThe process for eating in their a la Carte restaurants is a strange one. I feel it may just be due to whatever administrative costs are associated with managing reservations but it’s firat come first serve and people line up to an hour ahead of time if you wanted to eat in the a la Carte restaurants. The first seating is at 6:30 and second at 9. This recent visit I didn’t bother to plan to wait in line and stuck with the buffet. Last time I had the Japanese restaurant and we ended up going to the buffet after anyways. They also have room service! Sun - the beach is absolutely incredible and the lifeguard will get the beach chairs for you or at least find you some. Beautiful white sand with aqua blue waves. There’s a smaller swim up bar- infinity pool outside and a larger pool. This hotel is much smaller than any of the other resorts I’ve ever stayed in and it’s hotel style with 15 floors rather than spread out 2-3 levels. Guest rooms - excellent, clean, every room has an ocean view with a balcony. The toilets seem to run all the time so if you get a room with one that does, I don’t think it’s fixable. I would just close the bathroom door at night. There isn’t much night life, no disco or night club but I did dance in the martini bar last year, this year I really took it easy and relaxed which was entirely possible. The hotel is located right next to Atlantis so you can pop littering next store and explore this great big hotel. They have great shops at the Marina but nice to come back to your adult only resort :) In my professional life I work for a 5 star Hotel brand and would still come back to this hotel a 3rd time!

Warwick Paradise Island: Goodtimes, man...

Great location - steps away from Atlantis and marina village (neat little village with shops and restaurants and live music). Adults only resort made it nice to see Atlantis without staying in the child zoo that it appeared to be. Easy to walk around and enjoy paradise island as well as getting to the main island of Nassau. Hotel is perhaps a bit dated but maintained very well - clean and tidy inside and grounds are well kept. Bedrooms are average sized, beds are quite comfortable. Pool is lovely and the hot tub was nice for those not so good weather days. Pool bar chiccharnies had some good eats as well! The beach they have is nice for the sand and for looking at but not so much swimming - too close to the marina - BUT they do shuttle to cabbage beach which is gorgeous and wonderful for swimming as long as the winds behave. They have pool tables and foosball and host other game activities/events. Staff is friendly and helpful. Overall had a fantastic time and would stay at the Warwick again !

Riu Palace Paradise Island: The best resort to stay at in the The Bahamas as per value for money!!!

The hotel/resort was right at the Paradise Island beach, and had amazing staff helping out 24x7. The resort had 4 restaurants on premises, each one unique and amazing in food quality and dining experience. The swim-up bar was the best part of the resort and the bar-tending staff was very polite. Another thing, housekeeping was punctual and kept the room sparkling clean each day. The resort was exactly as shown on the website. There was one thing which should be kept in mind, the room service men [... read more]u was not up to the mark. It just had 4 items, and the lady who answered the phone was pretty rude, but that's it. So I would recommend to eat at the restaurants in the resort, rather than ordering room service. Other than that, it was an amazing stay, and would love to visit again, when in The Bahamas.

Breezes Bahamas: Excellent value

The location, the beach, the staff, the variety and quality of the food were amazing for the cost of the trip. Thrilled to have all the water sports included especially the hobie cats. Hope they never change that. Loved having a 4 day holiday. How quick the transfers to the airport were. Beach and water superb.

Riu Palace Paradise Island: Relaxing Place

The hotel staff were absolutely amazing! Food was great! Rooms were your average rooms but my view of the ocean was fabulous. I feel the hotel is catering more to the older guests. I think they need more entertainment and games. The entertainment staff were awesome but they don’t get a whole lot of time to do much with everyone. The hotel also defiantley needs to have music playing longer then 2 hours during the day. Nothing like “MUSIC” and drinks by the pool. Bahamas is beautiful!

The beach: AMAZING! The room: comfortable and clean The resort: small and cozy feel The staff: very friendly The activities/facilities (like water sports, tennis, pool) - friendly staff to help - highlight was our tennis lesson! The food: For foodies it will fall very short of the mark - but if you don't care much about the food, and you're looking for volume in lieu of flavor or variety, there will be no issues for less picky eaters!
