Barcelo Maya Tropical: Great family holiday

Overall the hotel was amazing. Check in and out was smooth without any issues. We had requested 3 rooms together on the ground floor because we were travelling with a small child and an elderly mother and were pleased when it was honored. The staff were all friendly, the drinks were great, the grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The a la carte restaurants were the best ... but they usually are. The pools were wonderful and my 3 year old grand daughter especially loved the kids water park area. The beach was clean and super sandy. The only complaint was the chair game ... it's alive and well at the resort. I think some people save chairs at the beach and pool so they can go between both. The first day we could only find 2 broken chairs for a family of 7 but my husband started setting his alarm for 430am and put 4 towels on chairs together and he was surprised at how many others were doing the same thing so early. The room was spacious, clean and well stocked. I had read reviews about the humidity in the rooms and it is absolutely true. There is definitely something wrong with the air conditioning/ventilation system because everything was always damp...the bed, pillows, sheets, towels and our clothes. We didn't see mold in our room but it definitely smelt moldy. When we arrived home we had to wash everything because they were still damp and smelled musty.

Occidental Tucancun: Mediocre Resort

I recently stayed at Occidental Tucancun, while it wasn't a terrible experience, there were several areas that could use improvement. The hotel feels quite outdated. The rooms, though clean, could really use a refresh. The furnishings were old, and the overall vibe felt stuck in the past. The bathroom, while functional, had some wear and tear that stood out. It would have been nice to have more convenient or diverse options within the hotel. While the location of the hotel was decent, I can't say it would be my first choice for a future stay unless some updates and improvements were made.

Occidental Punta Cana: punta cana

beautiful grounds. Easy booking for a la carte restaurants.Lots of choice at buffet but a shortage of wait staff. Stocked frig good size room with lots of storage space.Overall good value for the price.

Barcelo Bavaro Palace: Great Holiday at a Beautiful Resort

The Barcelo Bavaro Palace is a beautiful resort with lovely beaches and pools and lots and lots to do. The food is just ok. And there is not a midday poolside or beach snack bar to get food. you have to go to buffet and that's kinda the only thing I didnt like. Would defo recommend though. Wonderful vacation.

Occidental Tucancun: We had a great time!

We had a great time. Purchased an umbrella everyday for shade on the beach. We enjoyed ourselves. Our toilet did not flush , called maintenance each day.they came quickly. Food was good.we would go again.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Better than ever

We’ve been to Barcelo Riviera Maya previously and enjoyed it. This year has brought change in a Positive way. Lots of new activities at the Tropical Pool area. And the Buffet restaurants have Theme nights.

Barcelo Maya Beach Resort: Nice resort

The grounds are kept neatly trimmed & watered. The hallways are scrubbed daily. Rooms are a good size; a/c worked well, good shower, lots of closet space. Seaweed is raked off the beach every morning Beach chairs are scarce some days as guests at the other hotels use the beach at the Maya Beach hotel…it’s the best beach. Service was not as good as in the least, nor were they as friendly. The pool we used occasionally was big, with shallower sections. They can get quite noisy as the day goes & more drinks are consumed! We prefer the beach/ocean. The a la carte that we tried were delicious! Highly recommend the seafood one. Book as soon as you can after arrival.

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Pool and Beach Chair Problem!

All chairs were gone very early. We were there 2 weeks Feb 8th to the 22 2025. The resort needs to fix the problem. The rest of the resort services were perfect. We enjoyed all 10 of our Ala carte dinners. Service was very good.

Allegro Cozumel: Terrific resort!

We truly enjoyed our time at Allegro Cozumel. All staff were so friendly, especially the staff at Santa Rosa (the premium level area). Premium was worth the extra money: rooms closer to the beach and away from noise of night theatre and disco, access to Santa Rosa where we ate breakfast and lunch many days (less selection than the bigger buffets but more than enough to suit us AND in an air conditioned building) and a nice private pool/beach area with bar service. Oriental restaurant was so fun, we went twice! Henri and Carlos made us specialty coffees in the main buffet at dinner and Henri also treated us to Bananas Foster...yummy! Grounds are very well kept, rooms are on the smaller side but ours was very clean, AC worked well and we always had hot water & good water pressure. They also made different towel art each day in our rooms. Buffet food was average and sometimes only warm vs. hot, but always left full. Different dinner themes each night. We tried all of the a la carte restaurants. Definitely the Oriental was our favourite, followed by the Mexican. The Italian was good as well. We booked this resort based on it being one of the only affordable options in Cozumel and we would definitely return. Had some concerns based on some reviews we read but we really had no issues at all. Its location is great with beautiful ocean views, beach and sunsets. We will go back for sure!

Barcelo Maya Tropical: Beautiful, spacious resort!

What an absolute fantastic resort. This is our second time to the Barcelo Maya Tropical and it once again did not disappoint. It is even bigger than before. It has so much to do, fantastic shopping mall and so many individual vendors that sell everything you're looking or even not looking for, whatever your budget. The beach/pools are very clean and well maintained, you can see the staff constantly cleaning every aspect of the resort. There is an on site scuba resort (Dressel Divers), dolphin tanks, water slides, go-carts, surfing pool, gym, spa and the list goes on and on..... Barcelo Huatulco: Great place to stay

We just returned from our trip to Huatulco which we booked thru trip central with Erin Thunder who helped us with the entire booking process, which she was amazing to deal with. We stayed at the Barcelo which was all common areas and rooms were very clean and well kept. The food was great we tried all food areas offered during our stay and it offered a great selection of dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All the hotel staff were very helpful and friendly. We will definitely stay there again in the future...it is a great location and will use trip central to book our return. Huatulco has the best weather we experienced and hotel didn't let us down at all.

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Wonderful time at Barcelo Maya

We stayed at this resort for two wonderful weeks and had an amazing time here. Everything went smoothly from check in to check out. All the staff we dealt here were very helpful, friendly and professionally. We ate at the buffets with plenty of options to choose from and food was always hot and tasty. We also ate at all the a la carte restaurants and enjoyed everyone of our meals. Our room was very nicely decorated in traditional Mexican charm. We enjoyed our time at the beach and the pools with just enough fun activities happening there. We found the loungers to be the most comfortable and plenty of pool towels. Allegro Playacar: Beautiful beach

This hotel was exactly what my 18-year old and I needed, amazing beach and ocean access, good food and drinks and entertaining shows at night. Unfortunately, two of the three restaurants were closed while we were there and if you look for anything to eat after 10pm, you are out of luck. The rooms are comfortable (two big beds) and we were lucky to be right in the middle between the main restaurant and the beach. Also, if you look for a little shopping, Playa Del Carmen is an easy 20 minute beach walk away with lots of shops and restaurants. The shows were great and the staff was very friendly. Occidental Cozumel: Great Resort

The resort grounds/ gardens were gorgeous! It felt like you were in a botanical garden. We stayed in the Royal section which has its own pool and restaurant, which is amazing if you want a quiet area to relax! The royal restaurant was truly amazing! The seafood restaurant in our opinion should be the best restaurant in the resort as it is on the Ocean!! The buffet restaurant had a good variety of food but we found it very noisy and often waited for an outside table for this reason. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The beach was adequate, however needs some palapa or umbrellas!!! All of the staff were very helpful and pleasant! We never felt like we were putting them out by requesting anything! We would definitely return to this resort!! We would pay the extra for the Royal section as the restaurant and restaurant staff were amazing!!!!

Barcelo Maya Colonial: Feb 2025 Wonderful!

Great location, excellent food, superb service, beautiful pools, nice beach… really nice! Ocean was warm and perfect temperature for swimming and snorkeling. Easy to get to Tulum and to Playa del Carmen.

The massive infinity pools are so impressive, like I’ve never seen before. The Hydro spas available in the outdoor pools are more than enough plenty of space and loungers. The service is impeccable very professional, especially in the buffet. The food is absolutely divine, fresh fruit daily Mangos, Papayas, Chinese Pomegranate! Rabbit, Turkey, Lamb , Beef tenderloin - International cuisine, and gluten free offerings. A high level of quality, very clean and well presented. The a la carte Restaurants provide a variety of choices with authentically tasty dishes served in charming, and modern decor. The Bars are top shelf. The staff are excellent - professional! They go over and above to please you)and speak English even though my Spanish is decent). It is the best place for the value I’ve ever stayed at in Mexico and we will definitely return and, recommend it to my friends and family. This Was our 5th time at this resort . 10 out of 10 on everything . I can’t say 1 bad thing about the place. If you’re looking for perfection this is it!. We enjoy the beach and spent 10 days there, swimming with sea turtles

Barcelo Maya Riviera: Can't wait to go back!

By far, one of the best all-inclusive resorts we've stayed at. The grounds were immaculate, room was well appointed with one of the biggest beds we've ever seen, pool was huge with good service, loved the beach and the food was at the buffet and a la cartes was so good. Lobby bar was a good place for a night cap. Staff were always kind and quick to help. The stay at 1, play at 6 concept is brilliant. Royal Hideaway Playacar: Best beach ever

Yes best beach ever. Lots of chairs and all of them have covers and/or umbrellas. Food was great but making dinner reservations was chaos and terribly unorganized. Concierges were totally useless but wait staff and bartenders were excellent. Rooms were large and well maintained.

Barcelo Maya Palace: Amazing Resort

Absolutely amazing resort . The service was amazing. The la carts were easy to booked . Some of areas were rocky recommend water shoes . The chairs on beach and pool side are hard to find. Only complaint I have.
