Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Amazing resort!
I had booked my vacation for 1 week and ended up staying for 2. The manager, Edourdo was very helpful as were the Sunwing rep and the resort doctor who helped me get an extra week of meds that I needed. The food was generally good and exceptional on seafood night. My room was clean and the maids were awesome about leaving extra water, towels or toilet paper if asked. To the people who complain about this place, I would like to remind them that this is Cuba. They are very poor and are [... read more]
Club Kawama: The grounds were beautiful

Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Sercotel Cayo Guillermo
This place was under staff. Rms not in good shape. Buffet a mess Hugh line ups. Not enough plates ect... would not recommended this resort . Elvis at adult pool very friendly he was a pleasure also Loylota at front reservation was nice n helpful other than that no stood out. Buffet food always a mess didn't spray for sand flys or mosquitos every day people getting bites a lot.
Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Nice resort
The cabin was very nice and workers were pleasent but the resteraunt and bar ran out of cups and plates and beer on numerous accations . it was hard to find something to eat with. There were 3 dogs on the resort that hung out around our cabin and woke me up fighting and growling and barking every night. It made it hard to sleep.
Roc Barlovento: Better than expected!
I had read many reviews on Roc Barlevento so I had an understanding of what to expect, but honestly it was way better then expected! The rooms are a bit dated, but very clean. The bed is quite comfortable. The food was really good, always something to eat! The grounds were well kept and the pools were always clean. The beach is wonderful! The location is excellent! Staff was always very friendly. The A La Cart’s were ok but the Mediterranean is the best! Over all it was a great time and go [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: Hotel Pelicano Cayo Largo
Pelicano Cayo Largo is in much need off upgrade and refurbishment. The Hotel is dated and so are the linens , towels and decor. We were a group of thirteen on a weeks vacation Feb 27 to March 3. The Resort ran out of beer four times in the week which was pathetic. The liguer at the Resort is really nothing to mention couldn’t find a premium brand anywhere . The man made rum cream was disgusting made of some dark syrup with chocolate just awful . Unfortunately tipping was how you would get ser [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: Disappointing staff
Gorgeous beach! Meals were often better than expected! Hotel is dated but clean and functions well. Staff (about half) were unfriendly. Unhelpful. Served Spanish and Italian speaking people ahead of English people. Not even discreet about it. In your face.
Starfish Cayo Largo: fair resort
The beach was wonderful. Pool was good. Food ,ground & dining was fair to good. Pool bar was closed for 3 nights for private party. (only 1 bar was open for whole resort &ran out beer many times). Payed for ocean view was told fridge would be stocked daily.(only got 3 cans of pop for whole week). No beach towels 4 days. Had problems with door & safe locks.
Club Karey: VERY POOR
WE WILL NOT GO BACK TO THIS RESORT. WE HAD SOME VERY DIFFICULT TIME, PEOPLE ACROSS FROM US VERY NOISY IN THE MIDDLE OF NIGHT, THE NEXT DAY THAT MAN IN THAT ROOM KICKED IN THE DOOR, EVERYTHING CAME FLYING INTO TO OUR DOOR, SINCE NO PHONES IN THE ROOM MY HUSBAND HAD TO WALK TO THE LOBBY AND ASK FOR HELP. WE WERE VERY AFRAID. WE BELIEVE THIS PERSON WAS DRUNK,. WE DO UNDERSTAND THAT THE PEOPLE WORKING AT THE RESORT COULD NOT PREVENT THIS MATTER, BUT IT WAS NOT PLEASANT FOR US, WE JUST DID NOT FEE [... read more]
Club Karey: Club Karey Veraderra, DISAPPOINTED!!
This was our wedding anniversary 33 years, and we were looking forward to going away and celebrating, we were told when we booked we could change our money in to C U C at the hotel, but we could not, so we had to wait 2 days for the banks to open. we had no hot water all week, the food was atrocious, we did not eat lunch or dinner, the sun,sea and sand was beautiful, Veraderra was great, but when you dont eat it obviously makes the trip not great. toilet paper is 1 roll per couple for the week! Starfish Cayo Guillermo: Amazing trip
This was our first trip to Cayo Guillermo and so soon after the hurricane. We were delighted to see the resort was in great condition and we had a wonderful time. You could see the desolation left after the hurricane everywhere. The staff were very friendly even though they seemed short handed in some areas. The bars were very busy but the staff handled this very professionally. Daniel in customer service was very helpful and informative. We travelled with WestJet and our rep was very knowledgea [... read more]
Hotel Villa Cuba: An okay resort

Club Kawama: Lovely Resort
The resort was beautiful, our room overlooked the pool and had a beautiful belcony, we could sit there and watch the nightly entertainment and see everything that was going on. The food was good. The resort is an older resort, but had so much character, with the court yard and all of the stone work.
Club Kawama: Hotel KAWAMA
Our stay at this hotel was wonderful. Kawama is the oldest hotel in the area. The reception of the staff was superb. The attention and welcome given to the returnees excellent. I am happy to know that there was a representative from Quebec to assist the visitors with their needs and act as a liaison between the guest and the hotel. The food was good the pool parties and daily activities were pleasant. I am looking for a return trip in the near future. The cleanliness of the facilities were acce [... read more]
Hotel Villa Cuba: Great resort!
We had an ocean view room that was very comfortable, our housekeeper did an amazing keeping our room clean. The food in the buffet was good, I was surprised because of so many bad reviews on Cuban food. The entertainment was very good, both the afternoon and evening. We really enjoyed pool and the pool bar.
Club Kawama: Charming
At first sight I was a little disappointed because this resort is very old and quite large compared to what we experienced last year. After adjusting my expectations I began to see the beauty of the stone walls and archways. The food was decent although I seem to experience some stomach issues after a few days ( same thing last year..different resort). The staff was friendly. We had a couple issues that were addressed promptly. The beach is beautiful. The location is perfect. All in all [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: Hotel Pelicano
We were pleasantly surprised by the high quality and variety of the food at this resort as we had been led to believe that food served in Cuba was limited and bland. Not so here. The staff at Hotel Pelicano are great - cheerful and helpful. It would be helpful if the reception personnel were a bit more fluent in English but they do their best. The room was always clean, the bed comfortable. Unfortunately the A/C controls were broken and when the A/C was on it was noisy - we only ran it whe [... read more]
Starfish Cayo Largo: Great resort
The room in which we stayed had black mold around the air vent and ceiling edge. The water closets beside the rooms were filled with mosquitoes which came in the room through the vent in the bathroom. Otherwise we were very pleased with the food, grounds, staff and beach. We will return but not on the bottom floor.
Starfish Cayo Largo: Amazing resort
When we arrived I was a little taken back with how this resort needed some maintenance, but after only a couple of days I came to appreciate the beauty of the island and it’s people. I would go back time and time again. Cosmetics meant nothing to me after experiencing the food the people and all the Beauty this island has to offer. Best trip ever!!
Club Kawama: Another good vacation
This is a great budget vacation spot. Rooms are usually pretty good. Grounds are well kept, pools and beaches are excellent. And the food is overall pretty decent but I’m not picky. Good stay for the price.
