Ocean Riviera Paradise: Best vacation

Just got back from a weeks vacation and it was wonderful. The rooms were clean, staff were so friendly. Carlos is the man to see for drinks at the pool bar. The food was good at all restaurants except the steakhouse. Pools were nice and cleaned and I like the layout where the adult pool was one one side and the kids were on the other side. Feeding the monkeys was a memory I will never forget.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great resort

The grounds at this resort were very well-maintained and beautiful. The rooms were big with double sinks in the bathroom. The bed was comfortable and clean. I would definitely come back again. The staff is also amazing.

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Best resort I have stayed at!

The staff was amazing! The rooms and the hotel were so incredibly clean I feel like that's all they did all day was clean it. The abundance of restaurants to choose from was fantastic. I can't say enough about this resort. Usually I stay at a resort and then look for things in the local area to do but at this Resort there were so much to do on it that I only left for one day.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Falls a bit short

The grounds and buildings are well kept and the layout of the resort is good. Our room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The only downside, which has a lot to do with my age, was having to step into a large, defunct whirlpool tub to have a shower. We found the staff very courteous and helpful. Especially the front desk and the Customer Service people who went out of their way to assist us even with a couple of things that I am sure were beyond their 'scope of work'. We had trouble wit [... read more]h our safe (our fault) and a burned out bulb in the bathroom. Both issues were rapidly resolved. Unfortunately, the food did not measure up to the reviews although the selection and quality was good the preparation was not. They seem to have a problem keeping things warm and a great deal was very over-cooked and/or sat too long. The other downside was there were not enough beach or pool chairs. you would have to put your towels on by 6 to 6:30 am to get one and they didn't seem come available even later in the day. There are two things I would caution future Customers about. 1) The overly persistent people trying to get you to go to a time share meeting that has a high pressure sales team. 2) The Casino has a game which is illegal in most places that allow Casinos. It involves white balls that are rolled in a bowl that has numbered holes and a table with numbers etc. A fast talking employee gives you the impression that you will win big money. You can't win unless he were to let you, which he won't. Don't walk away from this game, RUN.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Beautiful rersort

1) The grounds of the resort are well maintained and the fine sandy beach is cleared of algae regularly 2) The rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, - The temperature control thermostat was erratic, fluctuating between 20c and 25c, although set at 23c - The shower water temperature is a problem: It took 5+ minutes before it reached a comfortable level but then it tuned from extremely cold to hot on its own. However , the Japanese restaurant was a bit disappointing, especially when we were charged $51 CAD for a small bottle of Saki (we were not told we had to pay for it before ordering ) 4) One shower at the large pool was out of service during our 10 days stay at the resort 5) Night entertainment was not as good compared to our first time stay at the resort some five years ago.

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Fabulous resort

We had a good 2 week stay at this resort. The resort is large but everything was easy to get to. The weather was perfect with only 1 rainy day where they held the outdoor activities in the lobby. The pool was really nice but found it was cold in the morning but warmed up later in the day. The room was spacious with the most comfortable beds. I had the best sleeps while I was there. The showers were big but very slippery. Our package had a trip to Playa del Carmen which we took advantage of.  [... read more]Nice town with lots of souvenirs and hi end stores. We only reserved 1 dinner which was at the Italian restaurant and it was very good. A large variety of food in the buffet restaurant. Saturday was Mexican theme night in the buffet restaurant and vendors came in and sold their products. Thursday afternoon is the foam party in the swim up pool. Lots of fun. The entertainment group got you involved in different activities. The only downfall is the resort is in the boonies so you had to take a cab where ever you went. A great resort with lots of fun.

Ocean Eden Bay: Food and entertainment

The resort is beautiful, spacious and grounds kept clean. The only downside I would say the when they painted and tiled parts off the resort its a little sloppy. The food and entertainment were by far the best I've encountered at a resort. Beach is ok ,been to much better but everything else makes uo for it. Would recommend

Ocean Maya Royale: Great resort

Our short vacation was amazing thanks to Ocean Maya Royale. Everything was top notch - hospitality, accommodation, food quality and overall service. I would definitely recommend this adult only resort for a vacation.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Great Resort and Staff!

We really enjoyed the resort and amenities. The property was in great condition, very clean and well maintained. The grounds were impeccable. The staff was always friendly, available and helpful. The food was plentiful, sufficiently varied and good, with about 10-15% of dishes being downright delicious (as per our subjective taste). The wait staff were very observant and pro-active for the majority. The entertainment crew deserves an ovation for their stamina and happy disposition. The [... read more]y were on site, keeping us entertained all day....mornings at the beach, afternoons by the pool and evenings by the lobby, theater or disco....they never ran out of energy and humor! The beach was clean, well maintained and there were plenty of loungers. There were always clean beach towels available and again the staff were very helpful. Unfortunately, the hurricane last year really decimated the beach, which is now half of the width it used to be (compared to the picture above). Of course this is out of their control, but unfortunately there were repercussions on how crowded the beach was, how close the loungers were to one another and on the available shade. Despite it all, the ocean was splendid! One negative aspect I have to mention is the insistence of the H10/Privilege Club staff to get you to buy into their travel membership and the misrepresentation of the duration of said presentation. We were roped in because we were curious to hear of the possibility to travel for less by dealing with them directly, which has its merit, but were mislead on the never-ending 2.5 hours long pitch.

Ocean Blue and Sand: Nice resort

First time to the Dominican, so can't compare to other resorts, but this was a nice clean resort , large selections of food . Always entertainment happening ,friendly staff. Biggest negative for us was that as a senior ,unless you were tech savvy and had a smart phone there was no info available at the resort all info was available on their app.

Ocean Eden Bay: Great Resort

We spent 10 days at Ocean Eden Bay and we had a wonderful time! I would not rate it a 5 star, mainly because of the room. The chairs on the balcony could use some cushions and a little table. The plugin in the bathroom was loose, sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. The vanity had a design flaw.... we could not open the tap, it hit the backsplash and we got a trickle of water. Other than that, the Resort is great with lot of things to do. The food was very, very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Sure, some didn't crack a smile, but dealing with some obnoxious guests all day long, can you blame them? The beach is small and yes, rocky but nonetheless beautiful. All in all we had a great vacation :-)

Ocean Coral Riviera Cancun: Wonderful Resort

We have stayed at resorts up and down the Riviera over the last 20 years and our 10 day stay at Ocean Coral and Turquesa was lovely. All the boxes we look for were checked, well maintained beach lovely for swimming, sunning and long walks. Solid dining with a buffet that was consistent and fresh and specialty restaurants that were equal to most good resorts, I enjoyed Blue Moon and Route 66. The coffee shop, Mike’s, was a welcome stop for a capacino or fresh pastry and the numerous bars always [... read more] provided a selection of cocktails served quickly by a cheerful and attentive staff. Surprises were the little unexpected toppings like an amazing piano player in the main lobby evenings or margarita night and martini night. we’re not usually one for shows, but really thought the ones we saw were well done. We happened to be there for Super Bowl and they had an amazing big screen set up in front of the ocean that will be quite memorable. We are a mature couple who were there Yeah, he’s with a brother and sister-in-law, but if you have young children, kids pool, water park and entertainment area looked absolutely stunning, and was very well maintained and supervised. All staff we encountered were attentive and looking to make our holiday enjoyable. No question we would return again

Ocean Blue and Sand: Amazing Resort

Ocean Blue and Sand is a wonderful resort! Food was amazing, entertainment crew was very entertaining at the pool and in the evening before the 9:30pm show. Beach was very calm which was surprising because when we have gone to Punta Cana at a different resort the beach was very wavy. Everyone was very friendly and always available to help. It is an older resort but very well kept even the room was very nice. Loved the way this resort is set up, the lobby bar is amazing. Special shoutout to [... read more] Mike's Cafe, it was wonderful! They had all sorts of coffee (latte, cappucinos, iced) plus they had desserts, he is open all day from 7:30am to 11pm to fill your needs. I would definitely go back!

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: A Nice Resort

My husband and I chose to go somewhere sunny and warm to escape the February blues that are popular in these northern countries. The price to be in this resort (which they claim is 4 1/2 stars) is on the high side, but then again, it was high season. Food was all right, abundant, no complaints and the rooms were clean, besides the fact that our room had a strong smell of mold quite foul and unpleasant. We requested a room change at the reception desk and were told no more rooms were available. [... read more] Housekeeping was OK. the first housekeeper we had, only made the bed, and took off, not until we asked her to sweep the floor and take the garbage out, she did so. The second housekeeper was a bit better. The Bar Tenders, Waiters, and Servers a few were helpful a good bunch of them you had to show the tip, to get a smile and service out of them. The last day we were in the resort, was Saturday afternoon February 10th. As we approached the place to return the towels, the lady in charge of doing so, got a little annoyed for she she had to move out of her chair and interrupt attention to her Cell. Funny how she complained to another co-worker how we tourists did not understand how hard her work was, I wonder if she knew that we also speak Spanish. Other than that, everything was all right. Would we go back? “Absolutely not” The moldy smell in the rooms was the cherry on the ice cream. We were at Ocean El Faro, El Beso.

El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Ocean El Faro - El Beso

Great hotel, beautiful and super modern. A lot of great features and very accessible. Lots of ramps and wheelchair access. Hotel booking app is poor but works sometimes. Rooms are very damp, cellphones will send error codes that there is moisture in them, clothes will remain damp who trip. AC runs only when you’re in the room so the room gets hot and has to reach temp when you return. Buffet food is okay but the a la cartes are superior. El Beso Adults Only at Ocean El Faro: Gorgeous Resort!!

We stayed at Ocean El Faro - el Beso which is the adults only portion of the resort. The lobby was incredible as well as the room. The grounds were so clean and spotless! The party pool was so much fun! The beach was very rocky. Swim in the lagoon if you want a sandy bottom. Shared restaurants with families and kids which we weren’t aware of so we won’t be booking this place again. Overall if definitely meets the 5-star rating!

Ocean Riviera Paradise: Beautiful resort!

Our stay here was amazing. The food was exceptional. The buffet wasn’t always the greatest but the eight(!!) a la carte restaurants more than made up for it and every restaurant was outstanding. The room was spacious with everything we could have wanted. The pools were always clean and the bar staff were always so friendly and responsive.

We stayed in Feb 2023, our room was spacious with a king size bed as well as a sitting area with sofa. Pools were fantastic. Beach area was small, but still seemed large enough to accommodate anyone wanting to spend time there. Food was excellent in the buffet as well as the 7 a la carte restaurants. Would highly recommend for a relaxing vacation

Ocean Maya Royale: Great Vacation

I truly enjoyed this hotel. The Blue Team made this one of the best hot vacations yet, especially Kenddel. He was engaging, fun, got people involved. The first day he asked my name and where I was from and remembered mine and everyone's name thereafter. Truly an amazing addition to your hotel. All staff were very friendly and dedicated to this hotel. If needing anything, they rushed too it.
