Nice Resort, staff very friendly

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this resort, the food was good, the staff were friendly and helpful as well. The only thing that wasn't great was the amount of stairs there were, however if you waited for a shutle bus to take you to where you wanted to go on this resort it was worth the few minute wait. I would not recommend this resort to people who have trouble walking, people with strollers or older people due to the stairs, other than that the resort was terrific, no complaints. Amazing and beautiful resort

This was the best vacation so far. Resort is absolutely beautiful and very clean. The food was absolutely amazing with many different varieties for all kinds of tastes. The staff are very friendly and outgoing and professional. The room was very clean and the resort was family friendly with activities during the day/night to entertain even the younger crowds. We had a problem with the water pressure in our shower which we called the front desk. They fixed the problem by the time we returned from [... read more] the beach and called a few times to make sure that it had been fixed and was working fine. They truly care for their customers and we will be booking our vacation with lifestyle resorts again in the future! The resort is full of hills and stairs so it is not the place for people with mobility issues. There is a shuttle bus that comes around every 10-15 minutes and golf carts for VIP members that will help you get around. We truly enjoyed our stay and recommend it!

Amazing resort and vacation

The resort was huge and way better then the website pictures depicted. Everything was very clean and well maintained. We tried the Dominican, Mexican and Italian restaurants. All where very nice, I wasn't a fan of the menu at the Dominican but I don't eat fish so my fault for not looking at the menu first. My favourite was the Mexican, lots of choices and amazing food. We went in November on purpose so that it would be nice and quiet (which the rest of the week was) so the weekends where disappointing. The Sunday celebration however was amazing and even in the off season they went all out to make it a great party. Our room was a garden facing room 300 building. It was very quiet and just a steps from the lobby buffet and three of the pools. We had awesome ice cold air conditioning. I was really worried about the separation between VIP and regular areas. I wasn't bothered at all and found it unnecessary to upgrade. There is so much to do elsewhere on the resort that the areas we weren't allowed to go to we probably wouldn't have had enough time to enjoy anyways. I do recommend doing the "tour" slash lifestyle sales pitch. It was a great way to get an overview of where everything is and they give you free stuff :) without huge sales pressure. The pools where really nice and almost all had bars either swim up or close by. I thought the beach was a little slimy but I don't like the ocean. They had lots of chairs and beds around everywhere and again a bar right by and a restaurant/snack bar.

Wonderful Vacation!

This Resort was more than we expected. We checked in to our room and were a bit disappointed at the rundown appearance, but the staff quickly showed us a few rooms and we were given one that was beautiful, with no fuss. The shuttles to and from different pools, beach, restaurants were extremely awesome and quick. This is a great feature for seniors who may have a hard time walking the huge property. They knew us by name, had our drinks out before we ordered and went the extra mile to make it a fun and memorable evening. The pools are beautiful and relaxing. I love the chair shelf where you could lay on a chair in the water to cool down. The beach was a bit rough , not the prettiest but the pools more than made up for it. The beach offers lounge chairs and beautiful beds to lay on and the view is stunning. I heard much talk about the VIP beaches and restaurants, but honestly, all the VIPS were at the resort pools and restaurants because there is more action. The VIPs are good if you prefer private vacations. The staff made this vacation the best. I'll not forget Wilfredo, Jackson and Louisa in the main buffet ask for them , you will not be disappointed. Ricardo was a wonderful driver and valet. We did Sea World and the Royal dolphin swim. I've done this several times each at different places, this was by far the best and well worth the money. The city tour was awesome as well, if you want to just enjoy the sites and a bit of shopping. Over all I was very impressed and the overall resort is breathtaking and we are planning our next vacation with our family to this resort!

Love the beach!!!

The size of this resort is overwhelming!!! We were fortunate enough to stay in building 307 - close to pools, the beach, and Pearl Buffet. I appreciated the fact that you can make à la carte restaurant reservations each day rather than eating at the Buffet. The food was good - always many choices to satisfy your every whim. Transportation to the various beaches and restaurants was provided and always arrived in a timely fashion - if we had to wait, it was 5 minutes at the most for the shuttles. [... read more] The main beach was never crowded and we always managed to find a bed. However, the one down side has to be the many stairs leading to the Cofresi lobby area. If someone has difficulty with walking up or down stairs, this resort would pose challenges.

Great vacation, was scared at first

We got a great price through trip central the pictures looked awesome and got me hooked. A lot of mixed reviews but decided to book anyways as I was hoping there would be a lot to do and people were wrong. Our room wasn't huge but had a king size bed and large patio which was perfect for us, the buffet is good to but if you are a picky eater I can see why some people may not agree. The drinks I thought were delicious, not watered down or made with not good alcohol. What I noticed is the alcohol and liqueurs they do use are locally made and nothing is wrong with them. My fave drink was the lifestyle party ( milk, grenadine, blue curacao), or the banana mama. Downfall would be the A la carte went to 1 of the 3 simply because we were unable to change them due to time and booking, but wasn't a big deal since we enjoyed the buffet and the buffet had theme nights.Foam party was awesome, VIP party Awesome, Welcome party awesome. We did 2 excursions waterfalls and snorkeling, awesome!!!! I would definitely go back again and if you are having reservations like I did I say don't. Go with an open mind and are laid back you will have fun there is a lot to do and see. Now have been there I feel like the negative reviews come a lot from very picky people who prob travel a lot!! and may compare this resort to better ones they have been too. If you don't like walking or waiting for shuttles then this is not for you, I enjoyed walking around and checking things out also nothing is more then a 5 min or so walk away but for some that can be a lot. Anyways I hope this review helps great price, great hotel, reviews scared!!!! me but quickly realized for myself that they weren't as true or as big of a deal as made out be.

Cofresi Palm Beach and Spa

Although the resort and beach were nice, their were a lot of stairs and hills!!! The employee's spoke english well and seemed to ready to help us with whatever question or problem we had!!! But the building we stayed in was next to local traffic & all we heard all night long was loud music, yelling & honking horns.. Their were cockroaches in our room, no dresser & 2 double beds!!!The air conditioner leaked through the ceiling!!!! Even though we tipped well the staff only restocked the fridge onc [... read more]e & the sheet were not changed every day & the staff would knock @ the door then walked right in!!! the restaurant's had good food but it was the same everyday, the Seafood restaurant did not have fresh seafood, because we did get sick after eating their!!!

Make sure your in good shape to clump steps.

The resort overall was okay at first we got stuck in small room wasn't very nice first night, the next morning we woke up to find cock roach I. Room so that was enough of that we went to front desk and staff was very helpful and understanding. Got moved that day to really nice room and that solved that. If your looking for nice beach this is not the place to go the beach is very small and not well maintained at one end smelt like sewer water running into the bay, beach also not raked up. Lovely resort

the public areas and restaurants were excellent. The beach was very clean lots of vendors for local jewellery. People very friendly and try to make your stay enjoyable. The only issue I had was that there were so many stairs.Once I found the right place I was very happy.

Very good resort

We like this sesort a lot because there are so many swimming pools. The family suite is spacious and clean. Beds in front beaches are convenient. You may meet some to stop you to sell time share. But if are not interest, they won't push. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay.

Something made us sick

Of the 5/6 of us that went, 2 days into the trip we had the worst stomach pain and GI problems ever, lasting over a week. The stomach problems hapened to many other guests as well. The standard rooms were dated And had little bugs all over the bathroom. When inquiring about switching rooms due to the bugs this was dealt with very rudely and they said it wasn't a big deal.
