Amazing!!!!

Everything was great. I have traveled to many other islands, and would definitely return to Cuba!! The people are amazing, the beach was perfect and food was delicious. As a vegetarian I was nervous about food options and quality.. but it was great!! The Mexican and Japanese a la carte were so so so good, and also had tons of options at the buffet. Wonderful resort!

The resort was clean ,friendly ,room was great ! Grounds were very attractive a nd there were many choices for entertainment ..theatre and lobby entertainment each night .. Was very pleased with whole package !

Great Facade

Spacious grounds no water in canals , clock in tower in central square stopped and no repair made Many lights missing in hallways and doors missing on utility closets Beach hut has only one chef....food undercooked and rarely are there any condiments available A la carte meals worse than main dining room with hot food served cold Placemats not always clean in the dining room Birds in small restaurant near beach were eating food from buffet on many occasions . Better then expected

Not as big as reviews make it out to be. Clean and pretty grounds, nothing unique and lacking in personality. Typical condo style units! Room was clean and updated stayed in 29307 building. Close to pool and entertainment center. Boring in the evenings. Shows were ok, esp liked the water show. No diet cola available and seemd like half way through vaca no ketchup, mustard cola light etc.

4th time in Cuba and this was Worst trip

The rooms are dirty, bathrooms look like crime scene, patio door does not lock, huge crack under door for bugs to come in. They do not leave any drinks in the room except for water. this is the first time I have ever seen this. no night time entertainment such as indoor dancing. the shows were not very good.

Wonderful time

My 9 year old son and I stayed here early February and had a blast! There's no shortage of activities and the staff is very friendly. Room was clean and the food was better than expected. Can't wait to go again

Family Fun

This was our first time to Cuba and this resort exceeded all our expectations. Friendly staff, beautiful beach, excellent pool areas, clean rooms, food took some getting used to but by the third day we ate like kings.

Wonderful " Memories Varadero", aptly named

From the Cobalt blue windows in the huge lobby, to our room , to the little Oasis we discovered just off of the lobby, to the first class entertainment every evening ,especially the Aquatic Ballet, we have wonderful Memories of our stay there, and would go back again for sure. We did not have children with us, but we saw a couple of childrens shows, and Toopy and Binoo, the childrens director ,I think Chanel, was fabulous with the kids. Overall great reaort

The overall experience I had at this resort was great. The majority of the staff was very kind and helpful. The overall cleanliness of the public bathrooms was very good as they also had soap and paper towel. if you enjoy entertainment this resort is perfect for you. There was always something going on in the lobby, by the pools or by the beach. They also provide night time entertainment each night for adults and some nights for children. The beaches were nice and clean aswell.

Fantastic!!

Traveled with my mom and 7 yr old son. This was a great place for a multi-generational trip. The activity pool was fun and the waterslide was a big hit!! The relaxing pool was quieter and serene if a more low key holiday is for you The beach, of course, was beautiful and enjoyed by all. There was always a spot to get food and drink and there was always plenty to eat and we were all satisfied with the choices we had. Great beaches, resort in need of TLC

The grounds were beautiful, however the main lobby and restaurants needed some repairs. Most of the restrooms were not functioning, no locks on the doors, mirrors that you could not even use. The food was terrible, really need to revamp your menu and make meals that ppl would actually enjoy. The food was so bland or unappealing that I was not tempted to even try it. Making reservations for some of those places proved to be difficult even though when we were at the restaurants there were a lot of empty tables. Our room was clean and the maid was very friendly, unlike some of the lobby staff. The hair blowers worked when it decided it would work and the a/c also did the same. Talking with or over hearing other guests we did not hear one person say that they would return there for a second vacation. It's infortunate because this place could so be a vacationers paradise but the lack of attention to the resort and terrible food really plays into deciding where to vacation on our next trip. Note that the mojitos on the private beach were amazing

Very Good Value for your money

I stayed at this resort Jan. 21-28 and had a lovely time. The food was good, the room was clean, the staff were friendly. The grounds were well kept as was the beach. Overall a great value for the money.

Beautifully laid out resort.

I am not one who likes to go back to the same resort but I would definitely go back to this one. I was very happy with the room, food and entertainment. The beach and grounds were specactular. This was the only time I have been to cuba and gained 5lbs. in one week. What struck me as exceptional were the staff. The maids and the waitresses in the resturants went all out to please you.On the negative side the only problem I encountered were the public washrooms had some toilets and urinals not wor [... read more]king.The management needs a plumber on staff.

The most tropical pools in Cuba!

This was my second time visiting Cuba. The food at Memories Varadero is above average in quality and selection. In fact, the food is on par with any of the resorts I have been to in Mexico. The room was very clean and the staff was unbelievably friendly. If you want to go on an excursion, I would recommend the full day to Havana. It was only 59 Peso and that included transportation on a modern bus as well as an amazing lunch, with drinks on the waterfront. The pools are second to none. There is [... read more] an amazing waterslide for adults as well as kids. There are three waterfalls as well as a swim up bar within a cave in one of the pools. The water was always clean and warm. Islands with palm trees and loungers can be found throughout the pools. Memories Varadero Beach Resort surpassed all my expectations. I would not hesitate booking this resort again in the future!

Disappointing trip

Food was terrible , bed was very uncomfortable cleaning practices for dining area was not suitable. Grounds were well maintained and most people friendly ,but very important standards were not met .not very happy with this trip.

Very nice but somewhat aging

Very nice resort with beautifully landscaped and well kept park like setting. Apartment buildings grouped around 2 circles forming the number eight. Rooms are looking nice, very clean and well maintained but are showing a little aging. Mattresses: time to be renewed! Ample food choice of good quality at buffets and restaurants. Memories resort

The resort was clean well maintained. friendly service on the whole. Entertainment every night was good.Beaches were clean and nice sandy beaches. great for strolling along the beach. Good hours for the buffet

Disappointing Trip

In its day I'm sure this was a fabulous hotel, however today it is in need of an extreme makeover. There was several fountain/water features that were non-functioning, the pathway lighting was intermittent and the grounds were very dark at night. The public washrooms often had only one toilet working in high traffic areas such as the buffet. Staff seemed indifferent as to whether they were providing good service or not.

Not bad need some inprovements

Food:buffet by the beach same food everyday the weeak ,buffet by the lobby not to bad. Rooms:need some updating Wcs:toilets by the pool don't work, no paper towel,no toilete paper,the same by the theatre. Bars in the looby:no service at all on tables,not enought seats on the looby.

AmazinResort!

The resort was very beauiful! The gardens are pretty! The pools nice and clean! The people and staff were very friendly! The food was wonderful! The day trips to Havana was amazing! The drinks were awesome!
