Hotel Atlantico: Stayed there three different times in one year.

The beach is beautiful. Staff are great. Hotel is very clean. It is close to Havana so you get the best of two worlds, the action in Havana and the R&R of a beautiful beach. Food is terrible. I always really enjoyed myself there. I would go again.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: Don't stay here.

The hotel is a left over soviet era concrete bunker with pealing paint and moldy walls on the outside of the building. Very clean room but as charming as a prison cell. We were lucky enough to be beside a disco so had the extra bonus of booming base well into the evening at no extra charge to us, I couldn't leave fast enough.

Hotel Atlantico: Not what I expected

The atlantico hotel is in need of some serious updating and maintance. The staff look very tiered and indifferent to your precence unless there is a large tip in there hand. The rooms that we tried all were in poor condition, ei...paint falling off the walls and the furniture were broken along with the bed springs poking your back. Bar service all inclusive if you like suger drinks or cheapest of the rums. We were not impressed with this hotel, it's not what was advertised on the brochure. The f [... read more]ood was very limited to bean mixes, and limited amount of meat and chicken. The staff seemed anoyed if you asked for coffee or water and they would point to the self serve coffee maker, unless they were tipped for every request that was asked of them. All was not bad at this resort the sun was shining at the public beach.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: A total dump!

This hotel is not to be recommended for Canadians to stay at. The swimming pool has no water in it. It is dirty and overgrown with algea. The food in the hotel is poor. They only serve breakfast but they have no butter, no jams and the coffee is dishwater. The apartments in the "renovated" section of the hotel have a kitchen area, but no cooker, no coffeemaker, no plates or knives and forks. The beach is accross the road and is nice, but on the weekends overrun with Cubans and children. Very lou [... read more]d!!! The sidewalks are broken and dangerous to walk on at night. The staff are very kind, but they do not speak English or any other foreign language for that matter. But it is the closest hotel with a beach to Havana. It is 20 km. outside of Havana and has a bus to take you to town. $ 5.00. Havana itself has no beaches, so if you want both "old colonial" and beach this place is an option. But beware; it is a total dump!

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: Everything that it promised

The hotel offered exactly what it said: a clean room,(it was even more as it was a suite), breakfast, right by the beach. It was very easy to get to Havana as the bus was right across the hotel. Grat.

Marazul Hotel: Tropicoco Hotel

The location of Tropicoco is excellent, close with Havana and the daily free shuttle to Havana was superb! The hotel architecture is unique in the idea to represent a ship. This hotel provides very good service for a 3 star hotel.

Club Acuario: Better stay away

Money can disappear both from room and lobby safe. Elevator doesn't work. Restaurant full of flies. You have to take bus for 1.5 hours to nearest beach and miss the lunch. Lobby bar works only weekends.

Melia Habana: Fully lives up to 5* rating

Very clean and new. Friendly, courteous staff. Inhouse meals a little pricey. Beautiful pool. In a nice safe neighbourhood. No beach but the sound of the waves crashing on the rocks was very relaxing.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: Cheap Alternative

This is not fancy resort hotel, it has seen better days. But the staff are friendly and helpful, the restaurant food was ok although not always available. Rooms are large. A good base for relaxing on the beach or exploring Havana.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: Great stay...Beautiful beach

great stay for the price. it was our 2nd time. the beach is amazing and Havana is just a few minutes away. havana is a beautiful place to go back and enjoy a nice cocktail and a bit of cuban music. The Cubans are such wonderful people.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: good

this hotel apartement was very clean.when I arrived I didn't expect clean room in 3 stars hotel in cuba !if you compare price you with other hotels with same price its really worth it.it's a little bit far from havana but you can take bus to go over there.

Iberostar Selection Parque Central: Eurepean standard.

Beautiful hotel, with excellent service, good food and best possible location. Ideal for browsing Havana. Close to Old Havana, steps from Malecon and Havana Central. Reasonable priced I would return to this hotel at the first opportunity.

Starfish Montehabana: Decent accommodations

Overall my experience was positive. I found the staff in the lunch bar in particular to be quite good to me and my family. They certainly stood out as the best part of the overall service. The food there was reasonably priced and tasty. I was less satisfied with other aspects of the whole experience. The housekeeping staff seemed to not come by for days. Not a huge deal but a bit surprising. We had an extra bed put in our room which was not really satisfactory. English language was a difficulty  [... read more]for some and we received wrong answers due to this. Again, not a huge deal. I would likely go somewhere else next time but did enjoy the stay overall.

Marazul Hotel: adequate

Rooms are pretty dilapidated, grounds and common areas are acceptable, good pool, food was adequate, staff was friendly and closeness and shuttle to Havana were pluses. I was bitten by flies and got infected at the beach.

Las Terrazas Aparthotel: Think what you want before you go...

Well, it is convenient to be there because it is close to Havana, the beach is great. If you want to be out all day you can go this place, if you want just to stay in your room, don't take this resort. Also, to find a room in good condition is hard...we had great time, but we wanted a place to sleep, go to the beach in the mornings and go to Havana in the afternoons and nights. The staff is nice, but they can`t do much because there are not enough refrigerators for each room, many rooms are n [... read more]ot repaired...This is a kind of low cost hostel, but in the general condition is poor. We had no problems with security. There were not meals included in our package, breakfast quality vary: some days is better that others, options are scarce. To go to Havana, close to the resorts are taxis available, they charge approx. 10, 15 CUC. There is a bus that costs 5 CUC, but you can`t rely on them. The staff understands the limitations and tries to collaborate to make your stay pleasant. Knowing this....think first what you want!

Hotel Caribbean: Value for money!

This is an economical but well run hotel with helpful courteous staff. Rooms are clean and often as large as many of the more expensive hotels in Havana. Location is perfect for seeing Havana. Food is typical Cuban fare but nicely presented and nutritious. All around excellent value for money.

Club Acuario: Been to club acuario 5 times

I fell in love with club aquario the first time I went. Love the staff after the first time I was there I felt like family. The friendly staff make you feel confortable . Love the view of the ocean from your room . The food at the alacart was great . I like that you have a few options to eat from. The hotel was clean as well as the pool. This place was rated low as far as I am conserned its a 5 star to me

Aston Panorama: Pros and cons

Pros: 1) Rooms are spacious, contemporary, and comfortable; 2) Ocean view side has great view of the water; 3) Breakfast has great variety of food, something for everyone. 4) Shuttle from hotel to old town; 5) Staff tried to be helpful. Cons: 1) Cleanliness not up to standard; e.g. some spots in bathroom not cleaned everyday; 2) Room leaked two nights in a row; 3) Schedule of shuttle not frequent enough and not always on time; 4) Staff too busy to be effectively helpful.

Be Live Havana City Copacabana: Excellent Value!

We stayed in the new wing, great view, outlets did not needs converter! Staff was excellent, evening lounge entertainment was lovely (not amazing but fun!). The disco next door was really fun. Across the street is a restaurant called 'Lavastida.' It is the best food I've ever eaten in Cuba and extremely well pried. I did not enjoy the buffet at the hotel so this was a great find. I highly recommend checking it out! This hotel is right on the tourist bus route into downtown Havana.

Hotel Roc Presidente: I love this Hotel

I have stayed at this Hotel 3 times and plan on going back this September. Here's why. The location of this property is about 5K from the Old City and as a result very quiet.Our first visit to Havana we stayed in the Old City which was a great way to be introduced to the city but it is very busy and noisy. Not so at the Presidente.It is a small Art Deco Hotel (147 rooms). It costs 5CUC to travel anywhere by Taxi and there is a tourist bus that stops right outside the hotel and you can ride on it [... read more] all day for 5CUC as well. You just buy your ticket and get on and off as you wish all day.The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff are friendly and attentive. There are many little Paladars (restaurants) within walking distance.Walking around this area you feel very safe as well. I love this hotel.
