Very good resort

The hotel itself is a bit older and not as luxurious as we are used to it is fine. Everything worked fine a/c and toilets were working. And if you needed anything extra the staff was very helpful. The pool and the beach were awesome! The entertainment crew was Great! The food was good and had quite a bit of variety! All in all we were happy with are holiday !

Aris is the BEST!

The resort was pretty good for a Cuban resort. There was plenty of food at all times. The A La Carte restauranta were all good with the exception being the italian one. I would stay away from the Italian a la carte if you are planning a visit. While we were there we spent time at the swim up bar with our favorite bar tender Aris. He made awesome drinks and was very quick to serve people. HUGE shout out to Aris for the awesome customer service throughout our stay. He is one of the best! Great resort.

We spent the week of July 24th to 31st, 2017, at this hotel, building one, second floor, ocean view. Overall I liked this hotel and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. The rooms were spacious and always kept clean, and the air conditioning made me sigh in relief each time I walked into the room. The maids were very nice and helpful, extra pillow, no problem!! The grounds were well maintained. The staff was friendly and helpful. There would be a few additions that would help it immensely. Firstly, a purchase of some ceiling fans. I appreciate that we're in a really hot country, but the buffet sometimes was too hot to enjoy your meal. Ceiling fans would help in there so much. Secondly, being a smoker on the balcony, a handle on the outside of the balcony door would be helpful. The air conditioning in the room was fantastic but caused condensation on the outside of the door, making it impossible to open from the outside. The food was okay. I did not starve. I'm not a big seafood eater, so there was a lot I didn't partake in. The pasta bar (and the pasta maker) kept me full all week. He did this with a gigantic smile on his face, although the sweat was just dripping off him. Also enjoyed the breakfast, omelette spot was good, line ups not bad. This chef again did it with a smile on his face and a shimmy to his egg flipping. I would go back there again!

Fantastic Beach!

Our room was not ready by 4pm. Room towels were disgusting with stains. Bedsheets, pillow cases and blankets were smelly. Our soft drinks were refilled daily except for one day where they ran out. The cooked vegetables at the buffet were always over cooked. The rice were under cooked. Their pina colada drinks were powdery. The food at the snack bar was great! Memories Flamenco!

We loved our week long stay at memories flamenco beach resort! Wonderful view, beach, pool, and overall ressort. Enjoyed our stay very much. The food was delicious and there were a variety of options. We enjoyed the entertainment and loved the sunny weather!

Not as advertised

My family and I visited this resort from July 7-14 this year, my kids are 2 yrs and 4 yrs. This was not my first trip to Cuba but first time to Cayo Coco. Check in was smooth, we requested a balcony suite, with an extra bed and a room close to my parents who also attended this trip. They were very accomadating with these requests. There  [... read more]were tones of cockroaches and many other creepy crawly friends all week long. They seemed to have stationed a Maintenace worker whom I cannot account for all day but making various trips back and forth from the room his task seemed to be to catch softball size tarantulas. The pools had lots of missing tiles, cracked tiles, and trip hazards.The food was with few exceptions from time to time the same throughout the entire week. I actually got a laugh from going to the 24hr snack bar, and asking for calamari everyday only to be told maybe tomorrow. This was something I didn't see all week. The food is really horrible at this snack bar but given this is suppose to be family resort it is the only option after breakfast buffet is closed and reopens for lunch at 1pm. Anybody with young kids would have to agree this is not favourable. The first day we arrived I had an uncooked burger served to me. For the buffet, there were long 10-15 minute lines for the short order cooks, who work extremely hard but can't fulfill the demand. Most of the workers work very hard here but they definitely work off tips, to the point where they are looking at the denomination right in front of you. The theatre, buffet sometimes and the cereole restaurant we're uncomfortably hot, to point people were walking out. They need to invest in ceiling fans at the very least. We didn't partake in the nightly entertainment but did the kids shows that were on before it. The biggest joke was the Toopy & Binoo they advertise because it was a 2 minute on stage act followed by a quick photo op. I don't blame them we were uncomfortable so I could imagine it being extremely hot for them. Activities throughout the day were not geared toward kids, although they had a great time at the beach foam party. The only thing going for this resort is the beach is truly breathtaking. After the 3rd day we had enough of this resort. I've never come home from a trip and had to not bring in all my luggage because I was worried about bugs. I gave this resort a 2 star rating but really it's a 1 star resort with a 5 star beach. They kept playing this themed "Memories" song but the only thing that came to my mind was memories I want to forget. Luckily my kids are still young and probably won't remember this awful resort. I just don't want someone looking for a family resort vacation and to make the same mistake we did. I'll never visit a memories resort or go to Cuba again.

Not what was expected

I will say the grounds are well kept. Advertised as a kids resort, however, it is far from it.The restaurants need A/C and fans in the lounge and entertainment areas.These were infested with mosquitos. It was very uncomfortable to dine while sweating like you were working out. We are very fair at giving tips. From the time we were picked up upon arrival, we were asked to tip generously to the bus driver. Tips should at the discretion of the customers, not by asking. They should devote this time  [... read more]to the orientation, instead of asking people to go to one the next day. This resort has a huge issue with Tarantulas and other bugs. The room we had is in need of big repairs but, it was well cleaned. I have dealt with Cathy Milner twice and have no issues with her. But, I do think in all fairness to customers, there should be a referral, if the rep has not personally been to a resort. Meals are repetitive. Please don't tell me that "Well this is Cuba," it is a families vacation that is paid for by working hard for the money to go somewhere. The beach is a five star but, this is only 2.5 in my opinion and I have been to Cuba six times and enjoyed it until now. The Sunwing rep was not a nice person to deal with at all. However, I have no issues with Sunwing itself, as this was our first time flying with this company. We liked their service. I'm not writing this to win anything or try to get anything. My all inclusive days are likely over.

We love it!

Visited in July 2017 - we love this resort! This was the second time we've stayed here. Great pools, great staff, great drinks, great times! The snack bar is an amazing alternate to the buffet, gotta switch it up a bit while you're there. Asain night at the buffet was delicious! The rooms are clean, and perfect for relaxing at night.

Fantastic resort!

The staff was very friendly all week long. They made us feel very welcome . The resort is fantastic and clean. The pool was great and he beach just amazing! Will definitely go back there. The rooms were clean and comfortable

Great time at Memories Flamenco

The hotel was clean and the service at the restaurants and bars was amazing. Smaller resort with beautiful beach at a reasonable price. Rooms were older but clean and the air conditioning worked good. Would consider returning.

Awesome Resort

This is an excellent resort, super friendly staff, the night shows are awesome. We did not have any problem during our stay. Huge location, bus services and excursions are good. Lovely place to spend time n relax.

This resorts was fantastic

The rooms are very spacious and always kept clean. Grounds are beautiful and well kept. Would go back to this resorts. There are many food options to choose in the buffet and the snack bar. Pool service was great and so was the drinks

Beautiful resort...minus mosquitos in May

Checked into the beautiful Memories Flamenco on April 28. Staff and location, excellent. On May 1 the mosquitos came and sent us to our rooms early every night until check out on May 5. Such a shame, we enjoyed zero night life. I unfortunately forgot my coffee purchase in my room fridge. I sent an email as recommended by my travel rep to a hotel contact person hoping against hope I could have it sent to me at my expense. I'm still waiting for a response. No one has acknowledged my message. I [... read more] would still recommend this resort. Food, service, accommodation and all. Think twice about this particular time, however, the mosquitos were quite a major, huge, mega inconvenience. I'm sure they found our bug spray amusing.

Big Resort

Grounds were nice, beach was gorgeous and big, water was beautiful, rooms were normal, bars were nice, but food was not good and Mosquitos were horrific at night! If you don't tip you will not get good service!

Awesome Resort

Amazing beach and pools with extremely helpful and friendly staff. Food was great except fruit selection and some of the meat and basically any eggs in the mornings. Best mojitos I have ever had and nunerous other guests said the same. Awesome excursions but not the best entertainment if that is what you are looking for.

Unbelievable resort!

First off i want to tha k jack for all his help in all of this! It wouldnt of been possible without his help! One of the best vacations ive been too! Made new friends, new experiences n best of all forever lasting memories. Thanks trip central and thank you Jack gentile for all your help! Viva la Cuba!

An awesome vacation!

From booking with Trupcentral to our rerturn from Memories Flamenco we could not have asked for a better experience. This was our second trip to this resort, four years apart and the changes to the beach are amazing! The beach is every bit as beautiful as any beach anywhere I have been around the world. Not as expected

Heres my views the grounds were beautiful except for many missing lamp posts and bare wires rooms were nice beds were hard as a rock .bring your own pillow theres are maby an inch thick there are 9 buildings if you are easily winded go for 1 or 2 the higher the number the further away but like i said if your in good shape the grounds are top notch and well worth the extra walking .The staff were surprizingly not over the top friendly at all after all this is your week of vacation and you shoul [... read more]d expect the best....Evening entertainment is very very good far beyond my expectations ...We upgraded to diamond club mainly for waiter service on select beach area i dont think its worth the extra.. waiter service was really bad and the grass huts in that area were in bad need of repair the beach itself was beautiful lastly food im not a fussy eater the selection was good you wont go hungry but you wont leave the table saying Wow that was amazing mostly low budget food and desert is mostly very tasteless squares ... So my honest review Food gets a 6 Rooms get a 7 Resort workers 6 Beach gets 8 Entertainment a strong 9 would i recomend this to anyone. Probably after all this is Cuba and its just not fair to compare it to places like Mexico etc
