Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Stunning beach, resort and amazing service.

The Royalton Cayo Santa Maria is one of the most stunning beaches and compares to Turks. You can walk easily on the white sand for hours. You can get a palapa on the beach or pool at any time of the day. The pools offer spacious beds and surrounded by palm trees. The garden is lush with vibrant colours. The butler service Michele made our 23rd wedding anniversary very special from ballon’s, flowers, cake and bubble bath. There is an abundance of food leaving you satisfied. Highly recommend the c [... read more]appuccinos, croissants in the morning, quesadillas by the beach and fish options. My hubbys favourite dish was octopus with pasta. The staff is exceptional, friendly and keeps property clean. We had to use the medical services which were also available, quick and rectified our hiccup. If you’re looking to retreat to a quiet adult only property this is great one. Recommend bringing a bubba for the beach, bug spray and sweater for breezy evenings.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Exceptional service

The trip we took in April of 2024 was amazing at this resort. Thankfully the mosquitos did not bother me but my friend did get bit, I maybe got 3 but that has nothing to do with the resort. The beachfront and beach bar/restaurant are both beautiful. We booked the Junior Superior room which is one of the newly renovated rooms and it was amazing. The only hitch is the butler didn't show us how to work the lights etc. so it was by trial and error. We also didn't get a proper tour of the resort. We  [... read more]were told our orientation by Sunwing was in the lobby the next day only to find out it was at the sunwing office located on the resort after waiting 15 mins in the lobby so we missed that as well. I will never fly Sunwing again, 2 hour delay departing and absolutely no entertainment on the plane, not even music. The buffet and food was always plentiful, room was made up everyday, staff are so helpful. Shout out to Marion who went above and beyond to arrange a reservation for lunch in Varadero. One other perk was our room was decorated when we arrived for my friend's 50th birthday. Well done!!! I most likely will go back but typically I don't like to go to the same resort all the time.

Royalton Hicacos Resort and Spa: Amazing beach and nice resort BUT

As the title says the beach is amazing and the resort is very nice but at dusk the mosquitos are awful!! The room and its service was very good. But I go south to enjoy seafood not chicken, beef and pork. The seafood selection was minimal. Breakfasts were good! They have no real "coke" so unless you want the coke they make at the resort ?? which tastes flat and awful - a rum and coke is out of the question. Even the rum and fruit drinks weren't good. Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Excellent resort

Just got home from The Royalton Was there for a week I am going to try and give my most honest review we arrived late Sunday night March 31st we were greeted by our Butler Omar he is an amazing Butler. Eggs were provided for breakfast six out of the 7 days there was no shortage of any types of alcohol both pools were wonderful the ocean was quite stunning if you have mobility issues ensure that you take a pool floaty for yourself as the resort does not have any to offer when going to the ocean the walkway is very uneven it's definitely a tripping hazard we tipped with American money and gifts on a daily basis the one thing we found was requested by the wonderful Cuban people was medicine we plan to go back next year for a week

Royalton Riviera Cancun Resort and Spa: Good resort

Rooms are neat and clean. Food is good. They should have printed map of the area, so it's easier to find locations. staff is friendly and helpful. I don't see why I should write more, just so it's 200 words.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Absolutely amazing vacation! Will be back

The grounds were beautiful and very well taken care of! Although the rooms are a bit dated, they were always clean! Despite some shortages, the lunch and dinner food was delicious and there wasn’t a single meal we didn’t enjoy! The beach… one of a kind and absolutely stunning! Lastly, the resort staff, these are the most hardworking, genuine, fun and wonderful people I have ever met!

Royalton Hideaway Riviera Cancun: Royalton Hideaway

Great customer service with Beth from Trip Central and Sunwing Airline. The hotel is secluded, you must take taxi to get anywhere. I will highlight what we thought were positive and what was negative about the hotel POSITIVE: - The employees at the hotel, always courteous and respectful - The food excellent (our least favourite was the Caribbean where the coconut shrimps were overdone and the jerk chicken was not authentic at all, our meal at Hunter steak house had a good taste but eve [... read more]rything was cold). - The drinks, great selection and always tasty - no réservation required at restaurant except the Japanese - No towel cards required, ok to take more than one towel(not so good for the environment when guests exaggerate and take more towels than needed) - no kids zone at the hideaway - special section for hideaway guests at the main buffet - great entertainment - hotel clean, modern and comfortable - loungers comfortable, padded covers on all chairs - coffee/ice cream station in lobby excellent - nice modern gym - fridge well stocked - a la carte breakfast, lunch and dinner at Dorado for Hideaway guests only - mimosas in the morning - pool at Hideaway best design with steps around people where people would sit and socialize - food truck around property - BBQ set up at lunch near Hideaway pool but be careful, burger are often served undercooked - Hideaway reception, good sandwiches and drinks, best air conditioned room in the entire resort NEGATIVE - beach, lots of seaweed (improved at the end of our stay), water murky - no smoking not enforced, people smoking and vaping at pool, beach and common areas - not enough loungers, must reserve a chair no later than 6:30-7am - was told by worker to pay pool attendant to get a chair - pool attendant telling us we had to register with her to stay at the pool - saw attendant putting items on chair and then offering those chairs to guests for a tip - resort too big for my taste, too many people, glad we were at Hideaway - rooms facing mangrove are terrible, there is a strong sewage smell that prevents you from enjoying your balcony, we were able to change room after 3 days - not enough bartenders at pool or beach bar

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: Nice resort

The hotel could have used better workmanship when fixing or repairing things, especially when it came to painting or staining. Public areas and grounds were kept clean and organized. Food was good especially in the buffet. The room was nice and kept clean but the washroom layout was terrible as it had no privacy between the wash up area and the toilet. The toilet door had privacy on half the door, the toilet flush was very noisy and there was no sound barrier when using the toilet.

Royalton CHIC Punta Cana: No beach chairs, resort and rooms were small, very clean and safe resort, lots of variety of food

This is an adults-only resort. I travelled on my own via Air Canada. The shuttle at the airport was easy to find thanks to the staff onsite. Compared to the Royalton Bavaro, the room is VERY small, I would say 2 times smaller, it felt cramped. Fridge is stocked with water and sodas. If you had 2 luggages, it would be tight to have them opened up. I used the safe, that's important. Resort was very safe and clean. There's security everywhere, and people to help you. I felt the staff at the  [... read more]buffet was unhappy, no smiles, how are you. Even the hostess greeting me was fed up with her job, that's the sense I got. It was always the same question: "Room number, how many people, any food allergies?" I figured out that since tipping was included at this resort, they won't go the extra mile. And they don't speak much English. The resort is small, boutique feeling, in a way it's good so you can find you way around easily. However, there's a lack of pool and beach chairs, I heard you have to arrive at 6:30 am and leave your towel, a book or anything to secure a spot. I ended up sitting in the round chair by Munchies, no shades, they were comfy but you don't see the action. The evening entertainment was by the lobby, there's no giant theatre at this resort and no Michael Jackson show. I didn't check out the nightclub. Drinks were very sweet, full of sugar, with little alcohol. If you are smart, ask them for a shot of gin, whisky...it's an all-inclusive. Buffet wasn't as extensive as the Royalton Bavaro, it's small but there's lots of food, they never run out, there's a variety of dishes from fresh grilled seafood, cheeses, breads, Asian, Italian, cold seafood, cold cuts, desserts. Nobody will be hungry. I didn't try the restaurants onsite (Indian, Hunter steakhouse and Italian), and there's no reservations required. There's a nice coffee bar with lots of cookies, cupcakes and fruits. The lobby also has fruits, which is a healthy option. Gym is also small, great variety of equipment and it was empty when I went in mid-afternoon. There are lots of activities like pilates, kayak competition, bootcamp, Spanish lessons, painting. I found the reps from the Royalton hotel sitting downstairs of my building to be ANNOYING. They key asking for my room number, if I came alone, am I married, all nosey questions that are none of their business. They were trying to sell me the Diamond package for future travel. I would suggest you simply say: I am no interested and move on. I won't return to this resort due to its size and lack of chairs, that was super disappointing. Once is enough.

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Disappointing trip.

The hotel grounds and pools were lovely. Our kids 12 and 8 loved the water park. Unfortunately these were overshadowed by the poor customer service and terrible food. We couldn’t get into most of the a la carte restaurants, or had to wait 90+ minutes on a table. When we did get in the food was awful. My daughter was served a raw burger in the steakhouse. We heard of families with food poisoning after eating in one other restaurant. The food at the buffet was of very poor quality and was constant [... read more]ly running out.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Our Third Visit

This was our third visit to the Splash and it didn’t disappoint. We booked Diamond club (our butler was not good at all) but we enjoyed the benefit of being able to eat at the Royalton PC. If we return, we would just book non DC there instead. Water park was fun for the kids, kids club was great for a mid day break while we had a bite at the cafe right outside the clubhouse.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Amazing resort

Would definitely go back here. Everything is beautiful the grounds are kept immaculate the food is wonderful. We tried all the restaurants and was not disappointed. My grandson certainly enjoyed all the pools. I love the beach if we had an issue it was people reserving the chairs at 6 o’clock in the morning and never putting their butts in them until late afternoon. Our butler was really super Louis. Royalton CHIC Cancun: Magnifique resort & staff

Everything is excellent with diamond service. The beach, the pools and the staff are really exceptional!!! The food is good but seen better in other resort we’ve been. The night entertainment is poor but ok. We probably book again at that resort, we really loved it ?

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Not so great

We were very disappointed with this Royalton experience. We have been to several but the things we expected as diamond you don’t get here. Everyone is mixed together- no diamond on the beach , no food service on the beach - shows are boring and short. We wouldn’t recommend this resort. There is up charge for everything- bowling, laser tag and decent wine. It’s too bad the employees are not treated properly and the management team lacks professionalism. Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Restaurant Reservation System ruined our vacation

Everything is perfect about this resort but something as basic as reserving dinners ruined our vacation. Royalton doesn't have a reservation system for free. Only Diamond Club members do and this is not advertised. They advertise it as "reservation-free" system and it is first come-first-serve. What happens is that everyone starts lining up at the restaurant at 5:45pm. When the restaurant opens at 6pm, all diamond club reservations go first. Then, they start getting people in from the line until [... read more] the restaurant is filled. Once filled, they start a waiting list and give out beepers. So when you are making the line, you don't know how much diamond club reservations there is, how much is the capacity of the restaurant and so you don't know if you will make it in the first or second seating (typically 1.5 hours later). You don't know when you will eat. Being a kids' friendly resort, you can imagine that you won't be able to manage how angry your kids (and you) should be when you stand in that line. This resort is not cheap and something as basic as reserving restaurants should be done. I was able to checkin online and reserve my room online so why I cannot reserve my dinners online before I even go. One other thing regarding this is that the people in the waiting line get frustrated and agree and start throwing words at the restaurants' managers like "this is ridiculous", etc. This is very stressful for those employees who are managing angry guests. So the lack of a reservation system also affects the employees and not just the guests. Given how angry I am at the hours I had to stand inline to eat dinner, I am putting the lowest grade on this resort.

Royalton Splash Punta Cana: Great family resort

We had a great time at Royalton Splash - family of 4 (two adults and two children ages 9 and 12). Buffet food was totally fine, a La carte restaurants were excellent especially Hunter and Grazi. Perfect beach, great pools and water slides were an amazing bonus. Recommend paying the extra for diamond club if you can afford it.

Royalton Cayo Santa Maria: Wonderful resort!

We had the best time at the Royalton in Cayo Santa Maria. The attention to detail and customer service is second to none. The food was excellent with numerous options each day. The beach is amazing and there was never an issue finding lounge chairs or a cabana for the day. This hotel provides each room with butler service. The butlers go out of their way to attend to all of your needs and the managers are constantly checking in with all guests. We will return without question!

Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun: Good times for all ages!

Beautiful resort. Lots of options for food, pools,/waterpark/lazy rivers and the beach was great and easily swimmable. Took advantage of an excursion which was worth the extra $$. Lots of nice people and the place was hopping ! It was completely booked up(busy time of the year) . They left a lovely little cake for my bday in our room. Sweet surprise! Very clean and well attended resort . The staff were very helpful. Wished we had the 2 queen beds that we booked instead of the king and a pull out [... read more] sofa. That was disappointing. No option to change the room without a 1000$ upgrade. Otherwise it was a very nice basic room with ocean views. Would go again but not in March.(Sudden onslaught of a large group 18 year year olds exercising their new drinking talents. Just doing 18 year old things. I wasn't expecting that spring break energy-We have been to the neighbouring Royalton at least 4 times and that wasn't the case)

Royalton Saint Lucia Resort and Spa: Absolutely gorgeous

Royalton St Lucia is absolutely gorgeous and must stay. Grounds are well kept and beautiful. Rooms have view to see the beautiful sunset. Loved the Steakhouse restaurant. Small beach area with alot of rocks in water. Pool tend to run out of towels. House keepers were nice. They ran out of towels and face cloth. They charge $6 US per day resort fee plus $200 US hold on credit card for incidentals

Royalton Blue Waters: March break trip

Ocean view and food were best part of this resort. Our teenage boys loved the water slides. Food was delicious at all restaurants and buffet. Hotel rooms were really nice but are designed for couples, not families. No separate bathroom, all one space with a curtain to separate sleeping area from shower and toilet. Big bathtub right in middle of room which is not ideal. Some parts of resort run down. (Lots of umbrella stands without umbrellas, lounge chairs without cushions and the ones with cush [... read more]ions were old and stained, stairs on bridge over lazy River were falling apart etc). No one serving drinks around the pool with the lazy River and on the beach, we were only asked once if we wanted a drink. Staff were very friendly for the most part. Nightly entertainment was really good. Website advertises paddleboards, kayaks and snorkelling. This does not exist at the resort. This was VERY disappointing and misleading.
