Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Wonderful Holiday

A group of 25 people stayed at this resort for a magical wedding celebration. This was a large resort but easy to get around. Beautiful beach that you could walk forever. You never felt crowded. The staff and service were amazing. Gentle, kind people that always have a smile. I don’t usually go back to the same resort but I might just have too.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: A pleasant holiday

The room was simply decorated but clean. Bed and pillows were very comfortable. Food in the buffet was repetitive and lacking in variety. Hot food was rarely hot enough though. The beach grill had a very limited menu and the food was plain bordering on boring. The a la carte restaurants had excellent food and service, especially Aqua, the Italian restaurant. The lobby bar was small with limited seating. It would have been nice to have tables with service instead of just a few barstools since all the outdoor bars close down by 6. All the staff was courteous and friendly. There were some renovations going on but impacted very little on our enjoyment. Loved the reusable plastic glasses on the beach, and “no straws” policy. Towels were plentiful and easily exchanged at any time of the day. It was a pleasant holiday.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: Melia Punta Cana - not up to expectation

10 of us stayed in the Level area of this resort for 7 days and 4 stayed for 14 days total starting November 8th, 2019. We have been to this resort before and some of us found the food less than before. The buffet was not good (except deserts) and the Steakhouse was atrocious, the service there was terrible and the orders were all mixed up both times we went there (staff needs to learn to serve properly). Basically only 1 table of each BJ, poker, roulette. craps. Few slots for such a big resort. Rides to the Level area were excellent first week but limited 2nd week. No known reason. Likely will not return to this resort for the price or value.

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great Resort!

The hotel was lovely, it was right by the water, the buffet restaurant had lots of selection and good hours, there were activities to do by the water. We had a very relaxing time and really enjoyed the evening events

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Beautiful resort

Great location. Beautiful sand beaches with lots of spots to relax. Water was perfect temperature for swimming. Restaurant and bar close by beach which was nice. It was a bit of a walk from our room to the beach which was good for us. Others less mobile can easily take the shuttle. Restaurants and service were excellent.golf course was a pleasure to play although the 50 pp for a cart was a little high.

Melia Punta Cana Beach Wellness Resort Adults: They tried

We (3 couples) stayed at the Level section of the Melia Punta Cana and probably won’t return (only because we stayed at a 2 diamond resort last year) . The resort was ok considering it’s over 21 years old. We had the butler service and 2 out of the 3 butlers were no shows all the time. I’m pleased to say that the 1 butler stepped up and took over. The food was fine with the exception of the Italian which was 5 star!!!

Paradisus Cancun: THE PARADISUS CANCUN NEEDS AIR CONDITIONING IN THE MAIN BUILDLING, VERY HOT!

No air circulation in the main building, they need fans to keep the air moving, no air-conditioning in the main building. The outdoor restaurant was so hot that you couldn't enjoy your dinner. 4 restaurants were closed for renovations, only 2 restaurants with air conditioning, the rooms were very warm, could no get the air conditioning to go any lower. Beautiful building and excellent service and food, but way too hot in the resort!

Melia Nassau Beach Resort: Great Time

This was the perfect family get away for my kids and I. The room was nice, staff was very friendly and helpful and there were lots for my boys (age 16 & 14) to do. There were plenty of water accessories available at the beach; snorkeling gear, floaties, water mats, kayaks and water boards. There was also beach volleyball, ping pong and basketball which my kids also enjoyed. We had good food, a wide selection and drinks available pretty much anywhere. Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Great resort

We recently visited Paradisus with another couple for 8 days and stayed in Royal Service. We had a great trip and lots of fun, food and drinks were awesome. Loved Royal Service, the room was great and so was La Palapa and special beach and pool area. Ate breakfast and lunch most days at La Palapa, the team there made it so special...Evetio, Danura, Joan, Carlos, Roman, Gabriela, Renau and lovely Elizabeth who greeted us each time! We understood the beach situation with seaweed so were prepared for the ocean to not be swimable.  I did yoga a couple of times and that was great. I give it a 4 star due to the absence of night life. I wasn't looking for a club or anything too exciting but something other than a DJ playing loud noise would be better. Walked to the "show" on the family side one night and it was such a joke. We travel a lot and all adult only 5 star resort and some can be quiet but this was way too quiet.  Overall I would definitely recommend this resort (and have recommended because one of my friends has booked to stay in December) but you need to be ok with no night life or entertainment. 

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Great Resort!

The resort was great! Food, especially the a la cartes, was really good. The buffet selection is small, however this ensure fresh food is always being brought out and it’s not sitting for extended periods of time. The overall feel is relaxing and there was always lounge chairs and couches to sit on in the evenings. One part the group of us enjoyed was the adult side (la perla) is not restricted to only those who booked for that section. We were able to eat at the buffet for breakfast and book a la cartes on this side or even go get a drink at one of the bars. We thoroughly enjoyed this option. As two of us were celebrating birthdays, the resort staff surprised us by putting balloons in our room which was a nice touch. In the mornings when heading out to breakfast or the pool, we would place the door hanger out indicating you are “out enjoying paradise” and our room was cleaned most days upon return to change into our swimsuits which again is much better than most resorts where they are cleaning it late afternoon when you are wishing to get out of the sun. Overall this resort was one of the best we’ve all stayed at and are looking at returning in the new year! I would recommend this resort to anyone who is looking for good food, relaxing time and excellent service, especially Grisey and Marcos, two of the pool side servers who were quick to take our orders, both food and drink and would even bring the drinks to us while we were in the pool trying to stay cool. They were as amazing as the resort was!

Paradisus Punta Cana: November 2019 in Punta Cana

Although we had a fantastic time at this hotel, there are a few things that need improving. Check in: Gorgeous lobby as we stepped up to the check-in counter we thought to ourselves how great, no line-up. However it took at least 1/2 hour until someone finally got us checked in - not acceptable! Finally shuttled to our room and luggage set inside. Room looked nice and clean however we had an issue with the bathtub draining - this was resolved quickly. The other issue was the dresser.  [... read more]couldn't be bothered complaining however the drawers didn't work properly so I just left one of them out for easy access. So they really need to upgrade some oft the rooms. Our concierge was very friendly, along with almost all of the staff. we truly enjoyed the buffet along with nightly entertainment. The Hibachi and Mexican also very good however the food from the Italian and steakhouse, not good! We stuck with the buffet for the rest of the trip. When mentioned we were celebration our anniversary, it was emntioned a surprise in our room the day of, well the surprise was on us, nothing! Not that we expected anything however it would have been a nice add-on. Will definitely visit the Dominican again, however not this hotel!

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Return Visit

This was our second time at the Paradisus La Esmeralda. We loved it so much that we wanted to return. The check-in process was simple, we were welcomed immediately. Our rooms weren't ready but that gave us time to grab some lunch in the buffet and refamiliarize ourselves with the resort. The waterpark is an amazing addition. It wasn't open last year when we went. The kids (and adults) loved it and it was never busy! The staff at the poolside restaurant were amazing. Arturo kept us well ta [... read more]ken care of every day. The Activities Staff (Angel and crew) provided so much fun. My children loved playing the games with them by the pool. No surprise, the food in the restaurants was top notch. We even ventured onto the adults-only side to try one of their a la cartes. Overall, a fantastic vacation. We will be back again!

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Paradisus La Perla - Fabulous Resort

The hotel was superb, especially the Royal Service option. Our group of 4 girls were definitely pampered. Hector our Butler was outstanding making all reservations and helping us with our day. Rooms were gorgeous and so were the grounds. Restaurants were all good. Entertainment was low key. We all loved it.

Paradisus Cancun: Paradisus Cancun

This was a nice hotel however it was way too large and complicated to get around. Pools were nice. Nice beach. They were under renovation so restaurant choices were not so good. They had a lot of stairs to use and not all had railings

Paradisus La Perla Adults Only Riviera Maya: Very nice resort

My husband and myself liked the resort very much. The room was gorgeous. Food was one of the best we’ve ever had. Beach was just ok. Very rocky with seaweed. The water was very dirty. Tried swimming in it was not comfortable. There wasn’t very much night life. We stayed in the Royal service side. Loved that part of it. Very nice pool. Had a very nice Butler named Angel. Stayed eight days had an amazing time with friends. This resort is listed as a five star. I wouldn’t give it m [... read more]ore then a four. I have no complaints about the resort because we got such a great deal.

Sol Don Marco: Great place to stay in a fantastic location!

Great location for anyone looking to do some exploring of the surroundings. There are more than enough pools to choose from and the restaurants have a nice selection for the buffets. If you're looking for gourmet selections, this is not the place you. The food is adequate and there are plenty of restaurants just outside of the resort if you want something different. The room is nice and is the right size for those not looking to spend their time in Spain sitting in their room. The staff were fri [... read more]endly and accommodating. I would recommend this resort easily.

Paradisus Playa del Carmen: Great vacation

We were very impressed with all the amenities the hotel had to offer. The restaurants a la carte were excellent, and they had a lot of activities for children. The water park was a lot of fun. My kids 3 and 4 years old had a blast. They have an adults only hotel that you can also have access too ( the gym is located in the all adult section and the classes are super fun, I did the spinning class a couple of mornings). Transportation was always on time, and we felt very safe. Would visit again.

Melia Orlando Hotel at Celebration: Not Again

The hotel rooms show their age and use. The nightstand had dust bunnies around the legs and the bathrooms had cracked tiles. We stayed for 3 nights and one day the beds were made but the garbage was missed and the towels not collected, but the toilet paper dispenser was adjusted.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Amazing Resort!

Huge hotel!! Nice landscape,pool and beach!! Good service. Our maid did an amazing job cleaning our room during our stay. One thing we didn’t like is the food at the buffet, there’s not much selection of food and most of the food didn’t taste good. I like the fish ceviche though! Overall we had an amazing stay at Melia caribe beach resort.

Melia Caribe Beach Resort: Cleaniness was amazing but service was awful

As we arrived from our airport transfer it was around 11/11:30 am we did not get our room until 4 pm, and the hassle for rooms being close together was even a bigger problem, my daughter in law got a complimentary upgrade to the level which was adult only but she wanted to stay close to the family therefore my husband had to dish out an extra $180 US to downgrade, because their policy was they were not allowed to just move her to another room. Another check in situation was that my second son an [... read more]d his girlfriend were also not together with the family and we again had to pay another $180 US to have their room changed, also with our rooms being PREMIUM BEACH SIDE ROOMS. So be careful when calling for room service because with the person on the other line taking the order they will negotiate with you at first they will tell you $30 US then go down to $20 US then they will call the other room associated with you and tell them special price only $10 US, the room service food wasn't the greatest and I actually regret becoming a Melia Club member I got no perks whatsoever! The family consists of were my kids my husband and my in laws my daughter was a few months shy from her 18th birthday and she was not allowed to eat dinner at any of the adults only a la carts which was dumb cause they were still calling her a baby which was very annoying she is 17 for god sake. The only time we had a smooth day was when we were off the resort eating locally other than that there wasn't a moment where we were being bothered by staff or there was something wrong at the resort. I would prefer to stay elsewhere Melia Caribe is too big and their staff need to be a bit more flexible as we are paying customers.
